4 - Rescue - Axl

We arrived at the abandoned factory. Dr. Angelo confirmed that the serial killer and his minions at the upper floor and the victims were on the lower ground.

As a result, we split up into two teams. X and Zero decided to hunt down the serial killer while Tyro and I chose to save the victims.

We agreed on our plans and began on our missions.

Tyronica and I entered into the elevator as it went down to the underground that Dr. Angelo told us.

The elevator took a long time as I led on the metal wall and folded my arms... And acted cool to Tyronica. Be cool, Axl!

"So, you're a combatant, right? Can you tell me about your abilities?" I asked her.

Tyronica was still standing as she waited for the exact location. "Call me 'Tyro'. I have superhuman abilities and create weapons. Especially, the protective barriers and fixing things," she replied.

"Whoa! I'm amazed. Are you a reploid or human with high-tech equipment?" I added another question.

"Classified information," she answered. "How about you? According to Papa Bear, you can shapeshift into reploids, right?"

"Oh! Yeah! I can copy mavericks' abilities too," I answered. She didn't answer my question. So, I let it slide. Man! I felt awkward. I should ask about anything like hobbies or games. -_-

We felt the vibration as the elevator stopped.

"Axl, Tyro, the mavericks are the front of the elevator. Please be prepared for combat," Dr. Angelo warned us to our earpieces.

"Ah shit! No stealth mode? Guess we have to fight," I swore.

"Agreed. Let's slap those booty bitches," Tyro commented as I shrieked.

Oh god! That humor. XD

As the elevator opened, Tyro put on her butterfly hairclip into a mask as she activated her pink barriers on us. The maverick soldiers fired us with the rifles but the pink barriers protected us.

I shot their heads successfully. We charged in as I transformed myself into a huge beast reploid and crashed the mavericks. On the other hand, Tyro reactivated her pink barriers again as the bullets reflected and shot at their shooters' heads.

"Axl, Papa Bear said that the victims are at the right side of the hallway," Tyro said.

"Got it!" I nodded.

We headed to the right side of the hallway as we found the people inside the jail. The iron bars had electricity as no one will touch them. Furthermore, we noticed that the people were stressed and depressed. As the man glanced at us, he jolted.

"Aaaaah! Mavericks!" he screamed as the people freaked out.

"Whoa! Whoa! We're the maverick hunters. We came to rescue you," I tried to calm him down.

"Are you sure about that?!" the man asked as he put his hands on his waist aggressively.

I was going to speak up again but Tyro stepped in and materialized her pink katana from the thin air.

"No questions and stand back," she commanded and walked closer to the jail with her deep tone.

"Oh my gosh! Are you going to kill us-"

Tyro stabbed the digital lock device on the wall as the electricity was disabled. Then, she slashed the iron bars into pieces.

"Jeez! Stop being racist towards reploids! Do you know that you're with the other reploids in human forms? Notice their earpieces? We're here to save both humans and reploids. If there's no drama, I suggest that you run away immediately," she demanded and snapped her fingers to put the pink barriers on them.

"Gooooooo! Be Freeeeeeeeee!"

The people, Tyro and I escaped outside the factory and met up with and Kojiro. They set up the camps for the people and contacted the police and the medics.

"Dr. Angelo, I gave them the meals and medical check-up. They were exhausted but relieved. They said that they were trapped five hours ago," Kojiro reported.

"Great! Glad they're okay. As for you, Axl and Tyro, you need a little break. Do you need some E-tank and food?" asked with a smile.

"I take the E-tank, thanks," I smiled.

"Papa Bear! Onigiri please!" Tyro cheered.

"Certainly," Dr. Angelo nodded as he grabbed something from the RV. As he got back, he gave me an E-tank and an EXTRA LARGE onigiri for Tyro.

Holy moly! That was huge for the lady! O_O

I didn't know she's a big eater but eating wasn't that bad.

"Thank you!" We thanked .

"You're welcome. Get some energy back on and help X and Zero soon," said.

I chugged my E-tank until it was empty. "Any news about them, Dr. Angelo?"

"Yes, X and Zero found the documents about the transformation of humans into reploids from the serial killer's laboratory. His name is Professor Odie Asman. According to my research, he was a scientist from Russia and married a wealthy mafia boss' daughter," Dr. Angelo explained as he lighted up his kiseru.

"If he married the mafia boss' daughter, were they the mastermind and the accomplice in the serial killings?" I asked.

"Correct! The mafia boss wanted to become a reploid so that he can live longer but Odie accidentally killed him in his first experiment. That lucky son-of-a-bitch was saved because he was promoted by his wife and her men to become the next mafia boss. Because of his failed experiment, he did that again to other victims from the list and searched the correct conclusions," Angelo clarified and puffed out the smoke from his lips.

"Well, Daaaaaaamn! No wonder he's a serial killer," I was shocked. That dude was rich and had the power that he made a contract with the devil.

Tyro munched up her onigiri. "I'm pretty sure he's still inside the lab. I hope we can catch him… Anyway, X and Zero were the ones who found the documents. Where are they now?"

"They returned to the lab for more clues," Dr. Angelo answered.

Suddenly, we heard a beeping sound from our earpieces.

"Dr. Angelo! Tyro, Axl! We need back up!" That's X!

"We encountered a- Oh shit! Dodge!" And that's Zero!

Oh no! It was a sign of 'we're fighting the big ones now'.

"X and Zero are at the basement with the enemy. I'll go back to the RV and navigate the location," Dr. Angelo said as he ran back to the RV.

"Let's go, Tyro!" I ran back to the factory quickly.

In 20 minutes later, we finally made it to the basement as we saw X and Zero. They were tired and got damaged. They faced to-

"Holy shit! What the actual fuck is that?!"

I was traumatized that I saw a huge female monster. She was not a human or a maverick. Her body was white with pink veins, her eyes were black, and tears of blood and her horns on her head. She wore a pink ball gown with bloodstains. The worst part was all the different body parts merged into her body.

That monster screamed with a strong wave as it attempted to blast at us. At the right time, the pink barriers protected us by Tyro.

"Axl! Tyro! Glad you're here!" Zero noticed us.

"Yeah! So, who the heck is that thing?!" I asked.

"I don't know. She cried for her husband when X and I heard her from Odie's lab," Zero answered.

"I thought she got trapped as a hostage. We tried to persuade her but she didn't listen to us," X added.

"X, Zero, stay back first as I'm going to heal you. Tyro, can you detect her? Please check if she's still gaining human consciousness," Dr. Angelo suggested through our earpieces.

"Sure... Axl, please watch over with X and Zero for now," Tyro said as she ran towards the monster and deactivated the pink barriers on us.

"Wait! She's-" I was going to stop her but-

Whoa! She dashed and dodged the monster's missiles. She's a freaking ninja! /0o0\

"You took my husband away from me! Just like the other mistresses that I murdered!" the monster screamed as she unleashed her fire whip and started to whip Tyro.

Tyro kept dodging as she summoned her katana and sliced the whip into half. She created glyphs as she hopped on them and reached the top of the monster. Then, she placed her hand on the monster's head.
