Dionysus really didn't expect his uncle to visit him in the night. But none or less, his uncle was here. In his room. Sweating, blue and nervous.Gods didn't sweat.

'Poseidon what are your doing here?' the wine god said, looking fearfully at his uncle. If he came here and he was mad, things weren't great. But Poseidon only shuffled his feet. 'Dionysus… I am afraid I came here for a …favor.'

A favor? What did the mighty god of the sea not have?

'It does matter what the favor holds in it.'

Poseidon sighed and casted some magic on the room. No one could hear them now.

'I need you to claim a child as your own.'

Dionysus frowned. Why would the sea god want that? Unless…Oh.

'Y'-you broke the oath?' he asked his uncle in disbelief. No way. Poseidon sighed again.

'I am afraid so.' He went with his fingers through his hair. 'My meeting with Lady Styx wasn't pleasant, but I do not blame the child for his existence, that I blame on myself. He needs to be protected from my brothers and your dad' wrath.' The sea god looked at Dionysus with pleading eyes. He didn't look like the god of the sea now, he looked exhausted and scared. 'Please, Dionysus, I do not want my child to be devoured by the same fate Thalia Grace was.' Now he was on his knees, begging for mercy, that wasn't even meamt for him.

'B-but why me? I, of all gods hate your children the most.Youknow that.' Mr. D reasoned. 'Someone that is closer to the sea shall do better, Aphrodite for example.'

'I want you to pose as his father because I want you to look after him. And don't worry, 'Dite already knows of the child. She knows exactly when and who enters her realm and to our unfortunate fate is exquisite at controlling her it. She was understanding…at least as understanding as she can be. Liked that I was in another love story again. She considered claiming him as her own, but she rejected the offer because of a really petty reason.'

'What reason?'

'Got into a fight with Ares, doesn't want to anger him further.'

He still looked pleadingly at Dionysus.

'If you claim him as your own, I grant you a favor.'

This caught the attention of the god. Poseidon never owned anyone, and he rarely gave out favors. But all the gifts he granted, were unmatched. The Nymph of the river Thames helped Rhodes once, and Poseidon favored her because of that. He gave her one of the cleanest city waters on Gaea. Something like that was unheard of.

'Any favor…?'

'Any…as long as I can hold on to it.'

'Does the child need to know about his real parentage?'

'Yes, bring him to your cabin, I'll be waiting there.'

'And my own children?'

'I assume that they will figure out soon enough that he isn't their brother. But let them swear on the river Styx that they will not say any of it to the other campers.'

Dionysus waited for a minute for a dramatic pause and nodded.

'Okay Lord Poseidon. Your wish is granted.'
