Lucifer entered his living quarters in Hell. It was the only place that was tolerable in the realm. Being the ruler had some perks. Well, one perk. His quarters were slightly less… well, hellish, than the rest of the plane. It was the only place that ash didn't rain down every second, and the temperature was comfortably. Things were still far from ideal though. Lucifer could really use one of his trips to Earth. He'd thought about taking a trip a few years earlier, but his trips always ended the same. His brother crashing the party and sending him back. He decided to avoid that, at least for the moment. Not that he was afraid of this brother. It just got tedious. Perhaps in a few more decades he'd be up for it again.

Lucifer walked through the living room, which was designed in modern earth furniture, a large black sectional couch with a matching loveseat and a couple of recliners. There was a large, glass coffee table in the middle Another part of his perk as the Devil was that he could make his space into whatever he wanted. It was the only space in Hell he could do it with. It seemed his father wasn't a complete dick in that aspect. Either that or he assumed if he made Lucifer comfortable, he'd be less likely to leave. It was likely the latter.

When Lucifer entered his bedroom, he stopped dead. There was a woman asleep in his bed. Now, he wasn't necessarily opposed to a woman being in his bed. In fact, that was what most of his trips to Earth consisted of. However, this did have him perplexed. Not only did he not invite this particular woman into his bed, it should've been impossible for her to be there. She wasn't a damn, and he was fairly certain she wasn't a dead human soul. Not that a dead soul could escape their loop, let alone make their way into his bed.

Lucifer stepped closer and was able to confirm that the woman was not a passed soul. He was fairly certain she was human, but he couldn't fathom how a living human had ended in Hell.

"Well, this is certainly interesting," he said in a loud enough tone to hopefully wake the sleeping human.

Chloe groaned a little she began to stir. When she opened her eyes, she jumped into a semi sitting position, startled at seeing a strange man standing in front of her. She looked around to see herself in dimly lit room on a king-sized bed. "What the hell?"

Lucifer chuckled a little. He wondered if his intruder knew how accurate she was with that statement.

"Who are you?" Chloe asked.

"I believe that's my line, Darling. After all, you're in my bed. Not that I'm bothered by that exactly. I never mind a beautiful woman in my bed," Lucifer said with a grin.

Chloe immediately scrambled to get out of bed. "What the hell is going on? Where the hell am I?"

Lucifer couldn't help the loud laugh he let out. "You just answered your own question, my dear. I do wonder how you got here though. You're obviously very much alive, so it's perplexing how you've ended up in this realm."

Chloe barely heard what he said. She was trying to get her bearings and figure out how she ended up in some strange man's bedroom. She started remembering what happened before she woke up. That old man that was in her house, who claimed to be God, had basically told her she was designed to be with his son. Actually, there was nothing 'basically' about it. That was exactly what he told her. That couldn't have been real though, right? It had to be a dream. If it was though, it was the most vivid dream she ever had.

"Mommy?" A young voice called from the doorway.

Lucifer turned to the voice and gasped before taking a giant step back from the miniature human that just entered his bedroom. "What is that?!" Well, he knew what it was, of course. He'd seen children on his escapades to Earth, and they were like uncontrollable demons! One should not be in his quarters. Actually, one should not even be in Hell. No child had ever been in Hell before.

"Oh my God. Hey, Monkey. Everything's okay," Chloe said as she went to her daughter's side.

"I woke up in a strange room. Where are we? What happened to that man?" Trixie asked.

"Uh, I'm not sure yet," Chloe said. Her daughter's words definitely nixed the dream theory she was trying to believe in regard to that crazy old man, which meant that the man in front of her was probably his son.

"What the bloody hell is going on?" Lucifer demanded to know, no longer finding any humor in this situation.

Trixie stepped towards the man. "Hi. My name's Trixie. Who are you?"

"Trixie, no," Chloe said before pulling her child back towards her.

"Yes, listen to your mother, child," Lucifer said, not wanting the child getting any closer to him.

Trixie giggled as she watched the man step away from her, like he was afraid. "You're funny."

"Well, I'm glad someone finds this amusing," Lucifer said sarcastically.

Chloe regarded him nervously. "You're Samael?"

Lucifer's eyes turned red almost immediately and he spoke in cool, low tone. "Do not call me that!"

"Cool! How'd you do that?" Trixie asked in awe.

Lucifer looked at her as though she'd lost her mind. "Are all human spawn as strange as you?"

Chloe, meanwhile, was petrified. This man's eyes were bright red, like she'd expect the Devil's to be if he were real. Suddenly, what she'd heard before she was knocked out didn't seem so impossible anymore. Had she really been sent here by God, to the Devil? Could she and her daughter actually be in Hell? She wasn't sure which part of that freaked her out the most. "You…. You're really…"

Lucifer chuckled. "Indeed. The name is Lucifer."

Chloe pulled her daughter to the door and gently pushed her out. "Baby, go back to the room you were sleeping in until I come get you," she said before shutting the door and backing up against it.

Lucifer advanced towards her. "Obviously, you didn't get her yourself, as you didn't seem to realize who I was, but you know more than you should, so you can shed some light. Speak." His patience was completely gone. He wanted to know exactly what was going on.

"Oh, God. This cannot actually be happening. I'm in Hell, staring at the freaking Devil," Chloe said to herself.

"Yes, very astute grasp on the situation. Now, tell me what you know!" Lucifer ordered.

"Shouldn't you know? I'm supposed to be your damned gift!" Chloe snapped. She realized a second too late that it may not be the best idea to yell at the Devil, but she was damned pissed, not to mention scared and overwhelmed. She had just been plucked out of her life, her daughter to, to be some sort of prize for the Devil himself. She'd essentially been told she was his property.

"Excuse me?" Lucifer asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, that's what I know. Some old guy broke into my house, insisted he was God…"

"You spoke to my father?" Lucifer interrupted. That was surprising. His father didn't speak to anyone, certainly not humans.

"Yeah, though I didn't believe him until I saw your eyes. Apparently, he created me to be a gift to you. My sole purpose is to belong to you. Apparently he doesn't know that it's the twenty-first century, and women don't just exist for men anymore," Chloe fumed.

Lucifer became more and more angry as she spoke. His eyes went bright red yet again. "Absolutely not! That bastard will not manipulate me again!"

Chloe shrank away from him as much as much as she could, but she was already pressed against the door.

Lucifer looked up towards the ceiling. "Do you hear me, Father! You can stuff your so-called gift! Get them out of here, now!"

There was, of course, no response.

"I said get them out! You will not control me!" Lucifer continued to yell. When he received no response yet again, he snarled before storming for the door.

Chloe immediately darted out of his way.

Lucifer turned to her before he left, his eyes still beat red. He was barely keeping his Devil face away. "Do yourself a favor and don't leave these quarters until I find a way to get rid of you, unless you want to be a plaything for the demons," he said before storming out of the room and then out of his quarters entirely. He ended up locking the door to his quarters just in case the woman got stupid. Humans tended to be idiotic.
