Chapter 5: The Revelation

Ash continued to hold his new lightsaber up into the air. Everyone else looked to him holding it with astonishment, Clemont especially taking a keen interest in the sight.

"I know I should be jealous I didn't get the opportunity to keep the lightsaber, but it's even more amazing to just look at!" Clemont exclaimed.

"The Empire better watch out when I use this," Ash said confidently as he looked to the lightsaber blade. "With some more training, nothing will stop us."

"You passed the first test."

"Huh?" Ash asked, looking around.

"Ash?" Serena asked as she, Dawn, Iris and May got up. "What is it?"

"Did you hear that?" Ash asked.

"Pika?" Pikachu asked.

"Look at the blade."

Ash looked up to the lightsaber blade, and felt everything happen at once. He let out a gasp before stumbling forward, now finding himself no longer on the Razor Crest.

"Where am I?" Ash asked, his voice echoing.

"So you have something different from the Force," the voice said, echoing all around. "Not what I was expecting, but still a good surprise."

"Who's there?" Ash asked.

"My name is Ezra Bridger," the voice said. "A Jedi, from before the Fall of the Empire."

"What do you want?" Ash called out.

"To help guide you," Ezra responded back. "I'm alive, but not even I know where I am right now," he said. "I do know, however, that you have the lightsaber of Calem Xavier."

"How do you know who he is?"

"A good question… for another time," Ezra replied. "Listen to my voice, and I can help you become stronger. I take it you at least have a blaster?"

"Yeah, but what does that have to do with this?" Ash asked, confused.

"Make sure you have both, and some more specific parts and tools too," Ezra replied. "That lightsaber's owner has gone, but you can still carry on its legacy by making a new one. Just listen to what I have to tell you."

Ash nodded. "Okay." He said.

Back on the Razor Crest, everyone looked to Ash, his focus kept solely on the lightsaber blade.

"Brock, has this kind of thing happened before?" Iris asked.

"Not really," Brock replied. "It's a bit new to me."

Din came down and saw what was happening. "We're landing soon," he told everyone. "What's Ash up to?"

"That's what we're trying to find out." Cynthia said.

All of a sudden, Ash moved again, surprising everyone. Knowing the lightsaber was still activated, they moved back, allowing him to move freely for a moment before he deactivated the blade.

"Ash, what was it?" Din asked.

"Strangest thing… hard to explain," Ash replied. He took out his blaster and looked to it. "Just gotta follow…" he said to himself softly.

Soon, the Razor Crest landed. As it did, Din came out with Grogu in his bag. Dawn looked to Grogu, tickling his cheek, before turning to Din.

"So, why not use the pram?" Dawn asked. "Clemont did fix it, after all."

"I'm trying not to draw hidden Imperial attention if they're here," Din replied. "A hover-pram would draw some eyes."

"Good point," Dawn said before looking to Grogu. "But no one can deny just how cute you are!" she said, smiling.

Piplup looked to Dawn and placed his flippers on his hips. "Piplup!" he huffed.

"I mean in a baby way," Dawn said quickly, knowing her Pokémon partner was glaring at her. "No one beats you, Piplup."

"Pip-Piplup!" Piplup replied, smiling at the statement.

Din looked around before taking out his Pokéball, the same one that he used to capture Gallade. Throwing it out not too far away from him, Gallade came out, and turned to him.

"I wanna try something with you as we go," Din said. "That okay with you?" he asked, performing the right sign language movements as well.

Gallade nodded before Din turned back to Ash, who had the lightsaber and his blaster laid out on the ground.

"Ash?" Serena asked as everyone else came out. "What's going on?"

"I'll be right behind you," Ash said before Pikachu, Greninja and Hawlucha came to him with some tools from Clemont. "There's something I need to do. Hopefully, I shouldn't be too long."

"Either he's gonna change that lightsaber or do something with the blaster," Iris remarked. "What a…" she started out before covering her head.

"What is it?" Cynthia asked.

Iris opened her eyes and looked around. She let out a sigh of relief afterwards. "For a moment there, I thought that—"

Before Iris could finish, a Pokéball flew from Clemont and hit her in the head. Everyone looked to it to see it land in Grogu's hand.

"Yep," Iris said. "That was it."

Din looked from Iris to Ash. "Don't take too long." He said before Cynthia and Serena led everyone into town.

Ash nodded before picking up his weapons. "Okay, Ezra," he said as his Pokémon watched. "What now?"

"Follow my instructions."

On the way to town, Din was performing several sign language motions, with Gallade in front of him, facing forwards like him. Gallade closed his eyes as Din moved his hand up high, causing him to jump in response. May looked on before seeing Gallade backflip. As soon as he did, he sprinted forward and kicked, all while Din continued to perform sign language.

"You and Gallade sure seem to communicate well," May mused. "Sign language with a Pokémon… who would have thought?"

"Just trying something out," Din said before making more sign language movements. This time, Gallade seemed to understand without even peeking behind him, as he zigzagged to the sides several times before backflipping right to where he originally was. "That should do it."

"It looks like you're trying to talk with him, without using eye contact." Dawn noted.

"You can say that." Din said.

Everyone soon made it to the town's Pokémon Center. As soon as they entered, Brock took notice of Nurse Joy at the front desk.

"Welcome," Nurse Joy said. "Do you have any Pokémon in need of care?"

"I would like to be in your care, Nurse Joy," Brock said romantically, much to the embarrassment of the others. "Let no virus keep us apart, no illness to make us fret! From a doctor to a nurse, let us be the treatments that can never be kept apart!" he pleaded, unaware that Croagunk had come out of his Pokéball, his hand glowing.

"Croagunk!"

With that, Croagunk used a Poison Jab right in Brock's back, causing him to freeze up.

"Dank Farrik… what a cure!" Brock groaned before falling over. Everyone looked to him as he lay paralyzed before Croagunk dragged him away, chuckling.

"Wow…" Bonnie said, hiding behind Clemont with Dedenne and Squishy on her head. "Does that happen a lot?"

"Well, Misty and Max used to drag him by the ear," May replied. "I guess Croagunk just prefers it this way."

"He did get carried away at one point, though." Dawn recalled.

Din said nothing before walking over with Gallade to Nurse Joy. "Can you get my new Gallade in top shape?" he asked. "He's a special one to me."

"I'll do what I can." Nurse Joy replied with a nod.

Din nodded back before performing sign language to Gallade. Gallade smiled and performed back, causing Nurse Joy to look on in astonishment.

"Not even a word," Nurse Joy said before Din recalled Gallade to his Pokéball. "How are you so skilled in sign language?"

"Just a quality," Din said before handing over the Pokéballs for Gallade, Rhyhorn and Honedge. As soon as Nurse Joy took them, he looked to the group. "Look after the kid here. He needs food," he said. "I'll head out to try and find work. Don't attract too much attention to yourself."

"No need to worry," Dawn reassured. "We've got it from here."

"You sure you can handle this?" Cynthia asked.

"This is the way," Din replied with a nod before walking off.

Brock came back, having recovered and hearing what Din asked, before looking to the others.

"How about we let out our Pokémon so they can eat?"

"Good idea," Iris said as everyone walked into the cafeteria, where other trainers had their Pokémon out with them. "Come on out!" she called out, letting out some of her own Pokémon.

"Everyone out!" Serena called out before everyone else followed suit.

Soon, everyone's Pokémon were let out, and Brock started to order food for them. Sitting down, the group waited for their own food to arrive while Pokémon food was brought for the group's Pokémon.

Iris's Emolga, however, finished her apple early, but was still hungry. Seeing that everyone still had apples to eat, she decided to get sneaky. Going first to Chespin, almost done with his food, she used Attract on him, causing him to give her his apple. She proceeded to do the same with the rest of the male Pokémon, her actions unseen by the females, before gliding up to eat her stolen food.

However, Grogu came out from the bag Din left. As Emolga was about to eat, she noticed Grogu watching and stopped, feeling as if time had slowed down. She placed her hands behind her back shyly as Grogu approached her.

"Emol…" Emolga said, pushing half of her apples towards Grogu.

"Emolga?" Iris asked, turning to see the pile of food with her. "No! Not again!"

"Chespin! Che!" Chespin called out angrily. "Che! Pin?!"

"Pancham Pan?!" Pancham exclaimed.

"Pi-Piplup!" Piplup called out.

May's Munchlax looked up, having been eating far away from the others. "Munch?" he asked.

"What happened?" May asked.

"It's something Emolga does. She uses Attract to get others to give her their food," Iris explained. "And she never gives it back."

"Then why is she sharing?" Cynthia asked.

"Huh?" Iris asked.

Everyone looked to see Grogu taking a bite from Chespin's apple while Emolga looked at him cutely. She offered more food to him, which he replied by letting them spill for the other male Pokémon to catch.

"Um… that's never happened before." Iris said.

"Axew…" Axew said, getting his own apple back.

"I wonder what's going on?" Clemont wondered.

In town, Din was walking to the police station. As he was, he looked to see a stand giving out bandanas. Thinking back to when he had to give away May's bandana to the Breloom, he walked over, and eyed a red bandana with a similar pattern to the one May had.

"How much for that?" Din asked.

"That just came in from Unova," the merchant said. "It's about fifteen dollars."

"I'll take it." Din said, handing over some money he still had from his battle with Cynthia.

The vendor nodded and handed the bandana to Din. He placed it in his sack before making his way to the station. However, he felt something approaching and turned, seeing a black and red rock Pokémon stampeding. Quickly, he sent his flamethrower forward, causing it to get back, before aiming his Pokédex at it.

"Gigalith, the Compressed Pokémon. Gigalith's attacks, using the compressed energy from its core, are powerful enough to destroy a mountain."

"Gigalith?" Din asked as everyone stood back. He approached it as he soon started to walk through the flames. He held his hands out calmly, trying to calm it. "What are you doing here?" he asked.

"That Pokémon came from the forest nearby."

Din looked up to see a man with black hair and wearing knightly armor walking over.

"It was separated from its friends, and a group of ruffian trainers tried to catch it, causing it to rampage," the man said. "I was going to try and bring it back, but I see, my good man, that you were able to subdue it before I. A job well done."

"Which part of the forest did this come from?" Din asked, thinking about Ash still on the Razor Crest.

"Near the cliffs," the man said, pointing to a rock clearing nearby. "Its pre-evolved friends have been kept safe there by my own Pokémon," he went on before holding his hand out. "Let us bring Gigalith back together, shall we?"

Din nodded as he was helped up. He looked to Gigalith, still agitated from its rampage. He carefully placed his hand on its head before letting out a low growl, causing it to calm down a little.

"I see you are a man of respect," the man said. He held out his hand again. "My name is Wikstrom, Trainer of Steel, and member of the Elite Four."

"You can call me Mando."

"I recognize you. You fought Cynthia and her Garchomp with nothing but a Honedge and your own skills," Wikstrom said. "You must have a strong bond with your Pokémon."

"I'm new to this," Din said, leading Gigalith to the clearing. "By the way… nice armor."

"Same to you." Wikstrom replied back.

Back on the Razor Crest, Ash had taken apart both his lightsaber and blaster, and was working on making a new weapon.

"Take your blaster's power cell and place it near the emitter," Ezra instructed Ash, who used the tools supplied to him by Clemont to make a small blaster hole facing the front of the hilt. As soon as that was done, he picked up some more metal parts and attached them, one to the pommel and the other to the front of the blaster area. "You'll want some protection at the front, a way to keep yourself from dropping the weapon. Place that on, and remember to keep the weapon off."

"You seem to know a lot about this," Ash mused while focusing on the new lightsaber construction. "Did you have a lightsaber like this? Assuming you're another Jedi."

"I am," Ezra replied. "This was my first kind of weapon in training. My Master said that it's different, but it suits me. Yours should have the same kind of quality, especially with the colors you've applied."

Ash looked to his weapon, seeing that he had chosen a variety of blue color. "What can I say? I like to stand out." He replied.

"Well, reach out, and you shall be the best you can be," Ezra replied as Ash finished attaching the metal parts. As he did, he fitted a trigger onto the top, making almost a staple-gun weapon made from the lightsaber and the blaster. "Almost done. You just need to adjust a few more things."

Ash nodded and started to use one of the tools to adjust the wiring inside. As he did, the light on the activation matrix blinked from green to red. After making the adjustments, he closed the activation matrix, causing it to go back to green again. Now taking out a small broken Pokéball, he placed one half over the activation switch and the other over a bolt at the end.

"Whoa…" Ash said as his Pokémon continued to watch. He held out the lightsaber, and it let out the light-blue blade once more as he activated it. He got up and spun it around, the guard at the front helping him to have a good grip on the weapon. He deactivated it and aimed out at a stone. "Hope this works, Ezra," he said before pulling the trigger. As soon as he did, a blue bolt, in contrast to the red bolt that was with the other blasters Din had, came out, and made a hole right through the rock. "That was amazing!"

"See? You got it," Ezra complimented. "Remember, that weapon is your life. Trust in not only what you have made, but both the Force and your Aura. They will guide you to your destiny."

"My destiny?" Ash asked.

"Pika?" Pikachu asked curiously.

"Ezra, what does that mean?" Ash asked as he looked around, only to no longer hear the voice. "Ezra, what's that mean?!" he called out. Upon not hearing him anymore, he looked to his new hybrid weapon. "What's my destiny?" he asked.

Unknown to Ash, or his Pokémon, a floating droid was nearby, hidden in the bushes. Several Pokémon nearby scattered as it started to zoom its optics in on Ash, eyeing the lightsaber hilt in his hand.

Back in town, Din and Wikstrom continued to guide Gigalith back to the rock clearing. As they were on their way, a large Pokémon spotted them and roared, causing Din to aim his Pokédex at it.

"Rhyperior, the Drill Pokémon and the final evolved form of Rhyhorn. Rhyperior's can throw rocks at its enemies by tightening its arm muscles and launching them from the holes in its palms."

Din looked from the picture on the Pokédex to Rhyperior itself. "I think I'll keep mine the way it is." He remarked.

"There it is!" a trainer called out with a girl and another male. "Rhyperior, use Hyper Beam! We'll get that Gigalith yet!"

Rhyperior roared and prepared to use Hyper Beam, causing Wikstrom to get a Pokéball ready. However, Din held his palm to the mouth area of his helmet and let out a roar of his own.

Wikstrom and the four trainers looked to Din, just as Rhyperior eased up, with Gigalith, preparing to fight, now doing the same. The roar echoed as he made his way to Rhyperior, performing sign language.

"What an interesting technique." Wikstrom awed.

Rhyperior seemed to understand, and got out of his attacking stance. Din motioned to Gigalith and then to the clearing. Rhyperior stepped back, causing Din to make his way to the trainers.

"You the ones who disturbed him?" Din asked as the trainers slowly backed away. "Better answer right."

"Gigalith is a powerful Pokémon, and we collect all kinds of Rock and Steel Types," the female trainer said. "These are never seen outside of Unova, and we wanted to catch it!"

"Look at him. Does he look like he wants to be with you?" Din asked, gesturing to Gigalith, who was now talking to Rhyperior in their own language. After getting several murmurs only from the trainers, he reached for his side. "Get going." He ordered.

The trainers nodded and quickly ran off, the one in charge quickly recalling Rhyperior away.

Din put his hand away, having reached for one of his empty Pokéballs. He turned back around and patted Gigalith. "You belong there," he said, gesturing to the rock clearing. "Go on. Your friends are waiting."

Gigalith nodded before walking back to the rock clearing, where his friends, consisting of several Roggenrola and Boldore came out of hiding to greet him.

"You certainly have a unique way of handling situations," Wikstrom said as he walked over. "Sign language and simple scolding? That is truly a way to connect with Pokémon and trainers alike."

"I'm trying my best," Din said before looking to Wikstrom. "What exactly is the Elite Four?"

"The strongest trainers in Kalos, second only to the Champion of their Regions," Wikstrom explained. "Some of us hope to one day become the new Champion of Kalos if we ever defeat Diantha."

"I hope you don't mind, but I would like to challenge you after hearing that," Din said. "I need to get stronger."

"Ah, so it must be your first time challenging one of us," Wikstrom noted. "I have seen you in battle, when you fought against Cynthia and her Garchomp. I can tell that must have been your first ever battle," he noted. "What exactly do you hope to gain from this fight?"

"I have a kid I'm looking after," Din explained. "Something tells me the world isn't safe for him… I want to make sure he's safe… no matter what."

"How valiant," Wikstrom praised. "Very well, Mando, I accept your challenge. Where shall we duel?"

"I have a Pokémon healing at the Pokémon Center."

"Then we can take our fight to the outdoor field," Wikstrom said. "You go ahead and fetch your ally. I shall meet you there shortly."

Din nodded and walked off.

Back at the Pokémon Center, Emolga was still giving some of her food to Grogu. Grogu looked to some of it curiously before plopping a berry whole into his mouth. This caused Emolga to giggle, while the others watched curiously. The trainers were most intrigued as they ate their own food at the table nearby.

"What's going on, Emolga?" Iris asked. "You aren't acting like yourself."

"You mean like actually giving food back to the Pokémon she stole them from?" Dawn asked. "Yeah, doesn't seem much like her."

Cynthia looked to Grogu and Emolga curiously, a grin appearing on her face. "I feel like I might know the reason." She said.

As this was all happening, other trainers in the cafeteria started to notice what was going on and watched. Before one of them could use their Pokédex to scan Grogu, Din walked into the room.

"Mando! You're back!" May exclaimed.

Din nodded before walking to May. Everyone watched before he took out the new bandana he bought, handing it to her.

"Wow, the newest one?!" May exclaimed in surprise. "Thank you!"

"You're welcome," Din replied before walking to the front desk. "Is Gallade ready?" he asked Nurse Joy.

"He's been healed completely," Nurse Joy replied as Gallade came out, now looking as good as new. "Thank you for choosing our services."

"Thank you." Din said, taking out some credits. Nurse Joy noticed what he was about to do and placed her hand on his.

"There's no need for payment," Nurse Joy reassured. "I am always happy to tend to anyone's Pokémon."

Din nodded before looking to Gallade. "You up for a fight?" he asked. "Someone's coming here, and I asked to challenge him."

"Lade, lade. Gallade." Gallade replied, nodding.

"Who'd you ask to battle?" Clemont asked as everyone came out, Bonnie holding Grogu in her hands.

"His name is Wikstrom." Din replied.

"You challenged Wikstrom of the Elite Four?!" Serena exclaimed.

"That's lucky!" Brock exclaimed. "I didn't even know he was in town!"

"Yep," Din simply replied before looking around. "Ash isn't back yet?"

"I can go and get him," Serena said. "I'm sure he wouldn't want to miss this."

"I'll come with you." Brock said as he followed Serena out the door to the Razor Crest.

Back at the Razor Crest, Ash was recalling all of his Pokémon. He activated his new lightsaber and looked to the blade with awe, while Pikachu climbed onto his shoulder.

"What do you think my destiny is, Pikachu?" Ash asked. "Could it be becoming a Pokémon Master? Or something different from what Ezra said?"

"Pika…" Pikachu replied.

"Ash!"

"Huh?"

Ash and Pikachu turned to see Serena and Brock heading towards him. He lowered his lightsaber and waved towards them, with Pikachu doing the same.

"You done yet?" Brock asked.

"Yeah, I am," Ash said, showing off the lightsaber. "I can't explain it, but a voice was calling out to me. He wanted me to combine my blaster and lightsaber, and this was the result."

"It looks great!" Serena exclaimed, all still unaware of the droid. "Anyway, Mando said that we should come and get you. He's challenged a member of the Elite Four to a battle."

"Great!" Ash exclaimed excitedly as he deactivated his new lightsaber. "Let's go!"

Brock and Serena both nodded as they led Ash and Pikachu back to town. As they were walking, the droid flew closer behind them. Without even flinching, Ash's Aura activated and he turned on his lightsaber. Serena and Brock gasped before he turned around, slicing the droid in half and causing it to fall to the ground.

"What's that?" Serena asked, reaching for her blaster.

"I don't know, but my Aura sensed it," Ash said as he looked to the two sliced pieces of the Droid. "I think we're being followed."

"Pika-Pi!" Pikachu called out, looking in the direction of some bushes.

Brock took out his Carbine, folded within his vest, and aimed at the bush. Ash aimed his lightsaber alongside Serena as well before several blasts came out, causing the three to scatter. They soon saw a Probe Droid emerge, continuing to fire.

"What is that?!" Serena exclaimed.

"Whatever it was, it looks like what was following us." Brock replied before he and Serena fired back.

"I got this!" Ash called out, activating his lightsaber again.

Ash activated his lightsaber again, deflecting the blasts sent at him. Somehow, he began to use a defensive blocking technique to deflect the blasts more calmly before spinning and stabbing it in the center eye. It soon shorted out and fell to the ground.

"Dank Farrik… what happened?" Serena asked.

"It was after us, and I have a feeling we may not have seen the last of them," Ash said as he picked up the remains of the Droid. He looked to Brock. "Let's show Mando this. He'll probably know more than us."

"Good idea," Brock said. "Let's hurry in case more show up."

Ash and Serena nodded, both now carrying the three remains of the two Droids. They soon ran off, Pikachu riding on top of Ash's head.

Back at the Pokémon Center, Din made his way to one side of the field. A lot of trainers had gathered once Wikstrom entered. Parting ways for him to get through the crowd, he made his way to the other side, both armored opponents now facing each other for their battle.

"Allow me to referee." Clemont said, stepping into the middle.

"May the best man win." Wikstrom said.

"The battle between Mando and Wikstrom of the Elite Four will now begin!" Clemont announced as Cynthia, Dawn, Iris, Bonnie and May, wearing her new bandana, watched from the sidelines. "This will be a one-on-one battle. The winner will be when the other trainer's Pokémon is unable to battle."

Din nodded before tossing his Pokéball into the air. Out of it, Gallade appeared.

"Gah-lade!" Gallade called out, getting into a ready position.

"Scizor, let us duel!" Wikstrom called out, throwing his own Pokéball forward.

"Scizor!" Scizor called out, appearing from the Pokéball.

Din aimed his Pokédex and scanned Scizor.

"Scizor, the Pincer Pokémon. It threatens enemies with its eye-patterned claws, which can swing with tremendous force when used in battle."

"Mando, the first move is yours!" Wikstrom called out.

"Thank you." Din replied. He looked to Gallade, who glanced and nodded.

Wikstrom waited before Din performed sign language. Gallade turned back and dashed forward, seeming to teleport in front before using his arms to slash Scizor.

"Without a word!" Wikstrom exclaimed with a gasp. He narrowed his eyes. "Scizor, use False Swipe!"

"Sai!" Scizor called out, his claws glowing as he prepared to use False Swipe.

Din performed more sign language while Gallade had his back turned to him, making duplicate gestures followed by a cut. Gallade readied himself and dodged to the side before using Double Team, all clones now using Solar Blade against Scizor.

"He didn't even look at him that time!" May exclaimed.

"Wait… that practice on the way here…" Cynthia recalled, remembering what Din and Gallade were doing before reaching the Pokémon Center. "So that's what he meant!"

"What do you mean?" Dawn asked.

"Remember what Mando was talking about earlier, during the time he caught Gallade?" Cynthia recalled. "He wanted to practice his own battling style, so that he wouldn't be, as he put it when we call the attacks to our own Pokémon, predictable. This must be his style!"

"You're right!" Iris exclaimed. "I can't believe I never saw it before, but because he's relying on sign language to communicate with Gallade, he's made his own way."

"This is it for him, I guess," Bonnie said. "This is the way."

"De Nene." Dedenne agreed.

Ash, Serena and Brock all arrived, still carrying the parts of the Probe Droids. They made their way through the crowd that had gathered before joining up with the others.

"What took you so long?" Bonnie asked before seeing the Droid parts. "Um, I think Big Brother has enough gadgets." She joked.

"It's a long story," Ash replied before looking to the battle, seeing Din perform a sign language motion to Gallade, one palm open with the other hand as a fist in midair. "What's he doing sign language for?" he asked.

"It's the way he's battling, I think." Dawn replied.

"Piplup…?" Piplup pondered.

"Pika…" Pikachu said, rubbing his head.

Gallade nodded in confirmation at the command before his eyes and hands glowed. Using Psychic, Scizor, charging in with Brick Break, was lifted off before getting thrown back.

"You are a worthy opponent, Mando," Wikstrom said. "But I think I know all of your tricks by now!"

"I wouldn't bet on it." Din said, performing a quick back and forth motion with his hands.

"Wait, who's that?" Ash asked, noticing Wikstrom.

"That's Wikstrom, of the Kalos Elite Four," Serena explained. "A Steel-Type Trainer."

"He challenged a member of the Elite Four?!" Ash exclaimed.

"Wait," Brock said, getting everyone to turn to him. "What did Mando just order?"

"According to the motions, it's called… Speed Strike?" Cynthia replied, uncertain.

Gallade got into a running position as Scizor regained himself.

"Scizor, use Psycho Cut!"

"Sai! Zor!" Scizor called out, charging at Gallade.

Gallade looked up and finally charged, almost seeming to become a blur. Ash and his friends all watched as he started to dash at high speed at Scizor back and forth, striking at every part of his body. He continued to do this before running from the front at normal speed and performing a pincer slash, sending him flying back, now with swirls in his eyes.

Ash and the rest of his friends all gasped in astonishment, with Wikstrom having the same reaction.

Finally, after some silence from the crowd, Clemont cleared his throat. "Scizor is unable to battle! Gallade is the winner. Therefore, the victory goes to Mando!"

Everyone cheered as Gallade stood ready again, swinging his arms out. Din walked up to him and patted him on the shoulder while Wikstrom went to check on Scizor.

"You did gallantly, my friend," Wikstrom said before tapping him with his Pokéball. "Return and have a nice rest."

"Thank you for the battle," Din said, walking up to Wikstrom with Gallade. "It was a good experience."

"Indeed," Wikstrom said before holding his hand out. "Continue to fight like that, Mando, and you shall be able to protect your child and your loved ones from the harms you fear will befall them," he advised. "Your bond with them, and your own Pokémon, is your strength, the way to battle."

Din nodded as he shook Wikstrom's hand. "This is the way." He stated.

A while later, Din was at the front desk, waiting for Nurse Joy. She soon came out, with Gallade in mint condition next to her once again.

"He hardly suffered a scratch, so it wasn't that long to heal him," Nurse Joy said. "Thank you for waiting, Mando, and for you, Gallade," she said before performing sign language to him. "Good luck."

Gallade closed his eyes and smiled, performing friendly sign language back before joining Mando.

"That was amazing, Mando!" Ash exclaimed as everyone ran up to him.

"Grogu had a great time watching!" Bonnie exclaimed as she continued to hold onto Grogu. "Right?"

Grogu cooed happily before Din noticed what Ash, Serena and Brock were holding.

"What happened?" Din asked.

"It's a long story." Ash replied.

Back at the Razor Crest, Ash was showing everyone his new lightsaber once again.

"After Brock and Serena came to get me, we were followed by one of those robots before getting attacked by the other," Ash explained. "I could sense the first one with my Aura."

"What are they?" Clemont asked, looking to the Droids while adjusting his glasses.

"Imperial Probe Droids," Din replied. "Spy tools. Did they get to see where you came out from?"

"I don't know," Ash replied. "We only know they appeared as soon as got down on the route."

"We'd better get going to the next town," Cynthia said. "If they did spot you, the Empire might be after us here."

All of a sudden, a transmitter went off. Everyone looked to Din as he went to the cockpit. Everyone followed after him, trying to make room so they could fit before he answered the call. In hologram form was a seasoned man with a dark suit and a beard.

"Mando, it is good to see you doing well," the man said. He noticed Ash and the group. "I see you have made some new friends."

"Who's that?" Ash asked.

"Greef Karga." Din replied.

"Always one to make friends," Greef Karga replied before turning back to Din. "News has spread from some sources the E-97 Sector. I had a feeling it was you when they said a Mandalorian with an array of weapons was challenging the strongest that Planet had to offer."

"He's still got a long way to go." Iris replied, chuckling.

"I am sure," Greef replied. "I had hoped to contact you sooner, Mando. There is news of other Mandalorians on that planet."

"What?" Din asked.

"Your covert had retreated since Moff Gideon was last here, but I didn't know where," Greef said. "I can't be certain it's them on that planet, but I would check it out if I were you. It's in a place the locals call Ember City."

"Let's see…" Serena said, checking her Town Map. "According to this, Ember City isn't that far off from Snowbelle City. In fact, it's just along the way."

"Then that's it," Ash said. "We can find the other Mandalorians in Ember City, and them go to Snowbelle City so I can get my final Gym Badge!"

"Good luck, my friend," Greef said before looking to Ash and the others. "And to you all as well. I hope he takes care of you all well."

Everyone chuckled before Greef signed off.

"Next town first," Din said. "There's someone there with a job for me."

"Lead the way." Ash said as Din started up the ship. As soon as it took off, it headed to the next town.

Aboard the Light Cruiser, the Eighth Brother and Admiral Lyste were looking over the footage from the Droids.

"The way he fights… I have seen that before…" Admiral Lyste said. "What do you think, Inquisitor?"

"He fights like a Jedi, but I want to test him first," the Eighth Brother replied. "Contact Moff Gideon. We shall require some more resources."
