Chapter 8: The Medic
The Dark Times…
As night fell, several lightsabers of Jedi were seen, each either cutting down Clone Troopers or deflecting their blaster fire. The end of the Jedi was nearing. The time of Order 66 had begun.
Watching the Jedi making their stand or get gunned down was someone panting heavily, seen only from her own eyes. In front of the person was four other Jedi, cutting down several Clone Troopers in their way. As one Padawan finished taking out a Clone, he turned back to the female watching.
"Zett, we have to go!" a female Jedi yelled as Zett Jukassa ran towards the perspective Jedi.
"Master, come on! We can still make it!" Zett said, grabbing the perspective Jedi's hand. He looked to what was happening and sighed. "We've saved all we can. Right now, we must take what little Jedi are left and leave this place. It's how we can survive."
"Yes, of course."
"Jin, what's the Hangar like?" the female Jedi asked as everyone ran up ahead.
"Jin's dead," another Jedi said, walking from the control room of the Hangar Bay. "But we took out the troopers before they could destroy all the fighters."
"Wait," the female Jedi said as a holo-communicator activated, showing Bail Organa in his cruiser. "Senator Organa?"
"I see smoke coming from the Temple," Bail Organa said. "I'm coming over to help."
"Belay that," the Hangar Bay survivor Jedi ordered. "The Temple is no longer safe!"
"You've all helped us so much. It's time for me to help you, even if it costs me my life." Bail said before signing off.
"The troops will gun him down," Zett said, running back to the halls. "Don't wait for me."
"Where in the sands of Tatooine do you think you're going?!" the female Jedi yelled.
"To buy you time and save Senator Organa," Zett replied. "I'll go down for sure, but at least someone will see what's really happening." Zett said before running off.
"Master, let's leave," The Hangar Bay survivor said, leading the perspective Jedi to a Starfighter. "This may be Ahsoka's, but since we heard she left from Mandalore with Maul, and what the Planet was life after she left, we don't even know if she's going to return or not. You have to go," she said before seeing an astromech droid roll over. "R2, time to leave."
R2-O14 chirped before getting into the droid compartment, just as the Perspective Jedi entered.
Soon, the three Jedi took off, seeing Bail Organa fly away from the Temple. They flew to space, seeing other Jedi Fighters fly off, and several destroyed Hyperspace Rings. The first two attached to their rings and flew off, with the perspective Jedi attaching to the other.
"Hyperspace, and do not stop!"
R2-O14 chirped and activated the Hyperdrive. Soon, they were jumping through lightspeed, hopping across several random systems. The perspective Jedi panted again, seeing the space battles of Clone Troopers against Jedi before one last jump was made. She came across a planet with a large amount of water and land before crashing into the atmosphere. Systems started to go haywire before the Starfighter made its way into the ocean near one of the areas of land. All the perspective Jedi could do was breathe a few times, her vision getting blurred, before her eyes closed. When they blinked again, a man was briefly seen watching her.
"Are you okay? What's your name?"
Present…
Still walking with the Razor Crest hovering close by, Din Djarin and the group were making their way to the next town. Bonnie smiled to Din as she held Grogu, who nodded in response, before looking to the rest of the group, now rested themselves like their Pokémon after having to deal with the assassins from the Order of the Night Wind.
"Okay, so it went like this." Ash said, imitating what he saw in his vision to everyone else.
"Maybe we could melt Beskar and coat in our clothes." Dawn suggested to Serena.
"We'd need to find some first." Serena pointed out as May smiled.
Din noticed the new weapon attached to Zoey's belt and stopped her.
"Where'd you get that?" Din asked, pointing to the bladed rifle.
"It was being used by the last Night Wind assassin," Zoey explained, loosening her belt to take out the weapon. As soon as she did, she tightened the belt again. "I heard the others say it was Beskar. Can you tell me what that is?"
"The same stuff my armor is made from," Din explained. "Not even a blast can dent it."
"That explains why the guy was able to pin-pong my shots away," Zoey realized. "So I guess you should have it," she said, handing the bladed rifle to Din. "I mean, Beskar belongs with a Mandalorian, right?" she asked.
"Keep it," Din said. "A Blastsword works for you."
"Blastsword?" Zoey asked, looking to the now-named weapon. "Yeah, I guess it does. Thanks, Mando."
Din nodded before Serena took out her travel map.
"Let's see… how far to the next town…" Serena said as the map displayed on her screen.
"Let me check too." Dawn said as she, Zoey and even Cynthia looked to their watches.
"What are those?" Clemont asked.
"It's called a Pokétch," Brock explained. "Very big in Sinnoh. It's a watch that has a lot of apps on it."
"Helped us a lot when Brock, Dawn and I were traveling." Ash said as Serena's eyes widened.
"Whoops," Serena said before looking to Dawn. "You seeing this too?"
"Yeah," Dawn said, looking up from her Pokétch. Zoey and Cynthia did the same, looking up from their own Pokétches, the latter rubbing the back of her head awkwardly while the former let out a wolf whistle. "Looks like we chose to walk too soon."
"Yeah," Cynthia agreed. "The next town is a couple miles away from here."
"What?!" Bonnie exclaimed. "But we've been walking for hours!"
"It's only been fifty minutes since we left the Pokémon Center from the last town." Clemont corrected with a chuckle.
"Wow," Iris said. "Felt like fifty-one."
Ash chuckled before feeling his stomach growl. "Guess we should've eaten at the Pokémon Center too," he chuckled. "I'm already hungry."
"Me too," May said. "Any sight of fruit in the trees?"
Iris looked around to the tops of each tree. "Sorry," she said, seeing them all bare. "No fruit anywhere."
"All I have is raw food, it needs to be cooked," Brock said, looking into his backpack. "We'd need to stop so we can cook it."
"Same with me," Clemont said. "But I don't see anywhere we could rest."
Din turned as everyone was talking and scanned around. Soon, a building came into view.
"Try there." Din said, pointing to where the building was.
Everyone turned to where Din was pointing and made their way there. Behind the bushes was a building that looked like a Pokémon Center, only with the symbol not fully colored on the sign.
"That's odd," Serena said, looking to her map. "The next Pokémon Center is said to be outside of town. No records of there being any this far out."
"Well, until we have everything properly ready, I think this should be a good place to rest at," Brock said. "Ash, Misty and I would come across Centers outside of the towns all the time."
"Even when it's not even on the map?" Serena asked, looking to her map again.
"Alright," Din said. "Let's go."
Not too far away, Jessie, James and Meowth were trudging along, looking exhausted.
"I tell you, it was worth it!" Meowth exclaimed.
"Leaving the twerps and Mando to investigate the landings of other Imperials was good to know what we're up against," James said. "But after losing their trail…"
"We've got little to report to the boss!" Jessie complained. "And to think we had a lead after seeing Mando in the Zyutu Contest too!"
"Wobba!" Wobbuffet agreed, saluting as he came out of his Pokéball.
"Oh, I'm too tired to put you back," Jessie said. "I need a place to rest. I don't even care to catch Pikachu this time, I just want to close my eyes and sleep on something."
"Well, you know what they say," Meowth was about to say until he looked up ahead. "Ask, and you shall receive!"
"Huh?" James asked as he and Jessie looked ahead, seeing the same Pokémon Center that Din and the group came across. "Saved at last!"
"Quick! Before they run out of couches to sit on!" Jessie proclaimed before all of them ran towards the Pokémon Center.
Inside, a Nurse Joy was working at a computer. Soon, the doors slid open, and Din and the group walked inside.
"Welcome," Nurse Joy said, looking up while locking her screen. "How may I help you?"
Brock immediately leapt to Nurse Joy, holding her hand.
"My strength is returning to me now that you are within my line of sight, Nurse Joy!" Brock proclaimed. "And now we must talk about how we can both become better in full!"
"Oh, boy," Ash said before Croagunk came out of his Pokéball. "Better do your thing."
"Croagunk." Croagunk said, his hand lit up as he prepared to use Poison Jab.
However, to the surprise of everyone, as Team Rocket entered behind them, Brock became confused and tilted his head, letting go of Nurse Joy.
"While they're distracted." Jessie whispered to James, Meowth and Wobbuffet.
"Uh… um…" Brock stammered.
"What's going on?" Serena whispered to Ash.
"I don't know," Ash replied, shrugging. "I haven't seen him act like this around any Nurse Joy before."
"Oh, I see…" May said, sweat-dropping as she pulled her hand away from Brock's ear.
"You have arrived before our normal Sunday hours," Nurse Joy said. "However, you can stay if you are tired. We have plenty of time before more customers come."
"May we rest too?"
Everyone turned to see Team Rocket, disguised in soccer uniforms while Wobbuffet had on him a metal basket with soccer balls, and Meowth with a coach's wardrobe.
"Aren't those—?" Din started out.
"The Kalos Kippers? Why, we're so glad you recognize the Region's underrated soccer team!" James interrupted.
"We've been working up a storm, and need a place to rest so we get ready for a rematch with Beckham and the big four." Jessie said to Nurse Joy.
"And my team needs to be in top shape! Ya dig?" Meowth asked.
Nurse Joy only shot the disguised Team Rocket a weird look before going to the computer. "You can find towels at the left," She said. "Beds are upstairs."
"Thank you kindly," James said as he and the others made their way to the left room. "Come along, Soccer Caddy."
"Wobba…" Wobbuffet said, walking after James, Jessie and Meowth.
"We have a soccer team?" Bonnie asked Clemont, who shrugged in response.
"Oh, my. Guests."
Everyone turned again to see a man wearing a baseball cap and a doctor's coat walk in. Upon seeing Ash and Iris, he stepped back a few feet.
"I assure you, we provide the best assistance to our customers," the doctor said. "Would you like to have your Pokémon looked after?" he offered.
"No thanks, we're just looking for a place to rest," Cynthia said. She turned to Nurse Joy. "Which way to the cafeteria?"
"On the right." Nurse Joy replied.
"We won't be here that long," Ash said. "It's fine."
"No need to worry." Dawn said.
Din nodded after looking to where Team Rocket had gone. After a while, he led everyone to the cafeteria.
However, the doctor looked to the group sternly, his eyes still hidden underneath his cap. He walked away, right as Nurse Joy looked at him suspiciously.
Inside of the cafeteria, the group started to let out their Pokémon. Out of their Pokéballs came Emolga, Chespin, Pachirisu, Munchlax, Pancham, and Chesnaught. Din walked up to his newly-caught Chesnaught, patting him on the arm.
"Once we have a proper camp set up, what day you and I get to know each other?" Din suggested.
"Chesnaught!" Chesnaught replied eagerly.
"Chespin, Che!" Chespin said happily to his final evolves form.
"I had a feeling Chespin would take a liking to your new Chesnaught." Clemont said.
"Yeah, me too." Din simply agreed.
"So, is Nurse Joy coming to bring us some food, or do we have to get it ourselves?" Ash asked, looking around, and seeing no one else was there aside from them.
"She did say we were early, before normal hours," Serena pointed out. "So the chef probably isn't even here yet."
"I'll cook us up something," Clemont said, taking out some of the food from his bag. "Give me a few moments."
"Pika-Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Emol?" Emolga asked, looking around before seeing Grogu. Immediately, hearts filled her eyes, and she felt her heart thumping.
"Hey, what's going on with Emolga?" Ash asked, seeing what was happening with Emolga.
"It happened before we were at Zyutu Town," Iris said. "As usual, she got everyone's food, but suddenly gave it all back after seeing Grogu."
"It's strange," Dawn added on. "The Emolga I met would take all the Pokémon food for herself and never give it back. Now she doesn't even look like she'd misbehave."
"Acting so… nicer." Iris said.
"I remember that too," Ash recalled as Serena looked to what was happening as well. "And this happened after she first saw Grogu?"
"You think it's because of him?" Serena asked.
"She did offer him an apple." May chimed in.
"I'd be nice to anyone who'd give me food." Ash said.
"Pika…" Pikachu said, rubbing his head.
Din watched before noticing Brock thinking deeply. "Something on your mind?" He asked.
"Doesn't this place seem a bit off to you?" Brock asked. "And I don't just mean with the soccer team."
"Now that you mention it, yeah," Cynthia said. "Something seems fishy about this place. Serena, didn't you say this wasn't on the map?"
"I did, and it's always up to date too," Serena confirmed. "Plus, even the other workers should be here before business hours."
Clemont came out of the kitchen. "Um, guys?" He said, getting their attention. "I don't think we'll be having a meal any time soon."
"What do you mean?" Brock asked.
"Come see the kitchen for yourself." Clemont said, bringing Brock in.
Inside of the kitchen, Brock saw everything in disarray.
"What a disaster area," Brock said. "Broken pipes, the fridges have no power… and there's grime everywhere!" He exclaimed. "Is this place even up to code?"
"What I was thinking too," Clemont said. "And we only have a Nurse Joy here too."
Outside, in the upstairs room, Team Rocket had settled down on the beds.
"What do you want to do when we're all rested up?" Jessie asked.
"Probably get one of the ships the troopers came in," James replied. "Maybe we'll get some information about the Empire from there."
"Ya know coding?" Meowth asked.
"I dabble." James admitted.
"Wanna get room service?" Jessie suggested.
"Let's not get too crazy," Meowth pointed out. "Just enjoy the comfort."
"Wobba…" Wobbuffet agreed, enjoying the reclining chair he was on.
"Let me know when we get to the climax." Jessie said before turning over and letting out a yawn.
Downstairs, Brock and Clemont were telling the group about what they saw in the kitchen.
"It's almost like it wasn't even used for years." Brock said.
"And yet everything else here seems brand new." Zoey said, taking note of everything else in the Pokémon Center.
With the rest of the Pokémon, Emolga got up onto the table where Grogu was, and walked towards him. Slowly and shyly, she approached, but he was in a meditative position.
Squishy was also resting, catching some sunlight. Dedenne scurried to him and felt the sun as well before noticing Emolga.
"Nene?" Dedenne wondered, running over back to the table.
Emolga walked around Grogu, hoping for him to notice her. He suddenly opened his eyes and looked to a door. Emolga was about to get his attention, with Dedenne about to do the same, before they turned to where Grogu was facing as well.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked before his ears shot up. He turned in the same direction, as all the Pokémon were soon doing, before tapping on Ash's leg.
"Something up, Pikachu?" Ash asked before Din noticed what the Pokémon were doing.
"I think they're sensing something off here too." May guessed.
Din looked in the direction of the Pokémon and scanned around. He walked towards the wall they were looking at and felt something once he reached out.
"Something there?" Zoey asked.
Din nodded before twisting what he had taken a hold of, revealed to be a doorknob. A door opened afterwards, revealing the back stairway.
"Something's down there," Din said. "If Grogu felt it, it's something big."
"Alright," Cynthia said. "Let's check it out."
"How come I've suddenly got a bad feeling about this?" Serena asked before everyone, including the Pokémon, made their way down.
Going down the steps, the group suddenly saw three more doctors, seeming to be talking with each other.
"More of them?" Iris asked. "But all Pokémon Centers are supposed to be run by just a Nurse Joy."
"What are they doing?" Bonnie asked.
"They're in front of something," Ash said. "Looks like the only other door here."
"Maybe they're locked out?" May suggested.
"Let's find out." Din said. He took out an Imperial Credit and dropped it down the stairway, which made a clinking sound once it hit the floor.
"What was that?" The first doctor asked.
"Let's take a look." Another doctor said, leading the other two to see what was happening.
Everyone made their way to the door. Slowly, Ash took out his lightsaber, and flicked the knob. Seeing nothing happen, he turned it, and the door opened, revealing a long hallway.
"They we're trying to get into an open door?" Dawn asked.
"Or something else is there," Zoey said. "Let's go."
"Be ready for anything." Din told everyone.
The group nodded and took out their weapons, all folded for concealment.
Din once again took the lead, keeping his blaster out and aimed. As he led everyone, he noticed the sides of the hallway.
"See that?" Din asked.
"Yeah," Clemont said, noticing the walls. "Some sort of strange markings."
"You know what they mean, Cynthia?" Brock asked.
"Never seen them before in my life." Cynthia replied.
All of a sudden, the group saw a door up ahead close. Din motioned to them, and they ran towards it.
"I'll go first," May said, holding up her blaster. She went in and used the scope on it to look around, a light shining from it. "Anyone here?" She asked quietly.
Everyone watched before May suddenly stopped, now not on alert anymore.
"Well?" Iris asked.
"Just our imagination." May said, turning around and walking back to the group.
Ash raised an eyebrow. "You don't usually give up so soon anymore." He said.
"We have other things to do." May said.
"Like what?" Ash asked before looking to the markings on the wall. He narrowed his eyes and walked towards them, feeling it with his hand.
"Ash?" Serena asked. "What's going on?"
"For some reason… I feel like I know these," Ash said, feeling the markings along the hallway. "Mando, don't you recognize any of these?"
Din looked to the wall and nodded. "Aurebesh," he said. "Galactic language. But it's old."
"But you can read it?" May asked.
Din nodded. "Follow Ash." He said, leading everyone after Ash as he walked further down.
From the room May investigated, the door almost closed. However, a hand stopped it from the inside, before opening it slowly.
Back in the guest room, Team Rocket continued to rest.
"Shouldn't someone have come by to check in on us by now?" James asked, looking through an old VHS collection by the television.
"They're probably busy," Meowth said, rolling over on the couch. "If Yer gonna watch something, turn on the captions and mute it."
"Just checking," James said before inserting a tape. The movie he put in started to play, and he got back into his bed. "Ooh, I love this movie!"
Back in the hidden hallway downstairs, Ash continued to feel the markings along the wall. Soon, he reached a corner, and stopped, causing the others to stop as well.
"Don't know what happened," Ash said. "It ends here."
"This is the end of the hall?" Zoey asked, looking around. "This is just a big room. Not even a door in the way."
Grogu looked out from the bag he was in and felt his ears perk. Pikachu and Emolga felt the same thing before the other Pokémon looked around.
"You find something?" Dawn asked.
Chesnaught and Chespin looked to the floor, seeming to see something the others could not.
"Cham?" Pancham asked, looking to the same place. He tapped it before going to Serena, pointing where he was.
"What is it, Pancham?" Serena asked.
Din pressed the side of his helmet to scan the area. "The signal, it's stronger," he said. "There."
"Anyone see a latch or something to pull on?" Iris asked.
"Maybe it's activated by a secret password, or there's a button somewhere." May suggested.
Dawn turned to May. "You've watched too many adventure movies." She mused.
"It's a suggestion!" May remarked defensively.
Grogu looked forward and held his arm out. Zoey noticed and leaned to Iris.
"What does he keep doing?" Zoey whispered. "Last time I saw him with a hand out, a Pokéball flew to it!"
"It's some sort of power he has," Iris explained. "Mostly, he's been using it to have a Pokéball hit me on the noggin, but I think there's more to it than just making things fly to him."
"Mando said it's called the Force," Ash chimed in. "It's not exactly like Aura, but it feels similar to it."
Everyone watched before Grogu lifted his arm up. The area where Pancham tapped lifted, revealing a door leading underground.
"Do all Pokémon Centers have these?" Din asked, scanning the lower area.
"Never seen anything like it." Brock replied.
"Down below," Din said. "That's where the signature is coming from."
One by one, everyone climbed down into the area. It was a dimly-lit cave, the only source of light being a crack from the far top area of the room, almost close to the ceiling. All around in the area were crates, big and small.
"Is this a supply room?" Dawn asked.
"Supply rooms aren't hidden under Pokémon Centers." May said.
"Lup?" Piplup chirped, looking to the crates. He approached one of them and tapped it with his beak. Seeing as it would not open, he lit up his beak, using Drill Peck, and tapped harder, getting it to open a little.
"What have you got there, Piplup?" Dawn asked, walking over. She opened the crate the rest of the way. Upon seeing what was inside, she gasped, Piplup mimicking her.
"What's the problem?" Din asked.
"You guys need to see this." Dawn said.
Everyone looked to each other before going to Dawn and Piplup. They watched as she opened the crate again, revealed to be multiple blasters.
"Why are there weapons underneath a Pokémon Center?" Iris asked.
"Emol?" Emolga asked, looking to the blasters with Dedenne and Pachirisu.
"Mando? I think this is your area of expertise." Dawn said as Din stepped forward.
"The crate is old," Din said as he picked up a blaster, inspecting it. "But these are new. Haven't even been used yet."
"Let me see something," Ash said, walking to a bigger crate. He turned on his lightsaber and adjusted the length, making it shorter before cutting the side open, where a large object almost hit the floor before he caught it. "Mando… what's this?" He asked.
Din turned and almost jumped. "Ash, put that back… slowly." He instructed cautiously.
Ash nodded and placed the object back inside. "What was that?" He asked.
"A proton torpedo. Powerful enough to damage a warship." Din explained.
"Like a nuke?!" Zoey exclaimed.
"Let's just say we'd be deeper below if that went off." Din said, causing everyone to step back.
"This isn't right," Cynthia said. "Whatever's here… shouldn't even be here to begin with."
"For sure," May said. "But if there are blasters and torpedo shells…"
Din looked to the other crates. "Check them all," he ordered. "I have a theory, but we need to see what's in the crates first."
Everyone nodded and went to random crates. Without any hesitation, they cracked them open carefully.
"Bunch of helmets," May said as Munchlax helped her open her crate. "Like the Stormtrooper helmets." She said, but saw a T-shape for the visor.
"Emol!" Emolga yelled, sending a shock through the top of another crate.
Iris smiled before opening the crate. "Whoa!" She exclaimed, getting back. "Grenades… like what you had Ash throw at Team Rocket." She said, noticing the small round objects inside as she turned to Din.
"Detonators." Din corrected.
Clemont and Chespin opened another crate, pulling out small black objects with tiny wheels on them. "Almost the size of Pikachu." He mused.
"Che?" Chespin asked.
"They're weapons," Serena said, pulling out what appeared to be a droid head. "All of them have weapons."
"What's this one?" May asked, looking to a crate with Aurebesh on it.
Din looked to the crate. "Lothal Lockup Inventory." He translated.
"Sounds like what you'd label confiscated items in a prison," May said before having Munchlax use Metronome to open the lid. She looked inside and pulled out a decorated helmet before seeing a black staff with a blade on one end and a blaster grip on the middle. "Whoa," she said, tapping the safe end, causing it to collapse and become a rifle. She aimed it and spied through its scope. "As cool as this one is, I'm concerned for the weapons here."
"As am I," Cynthia said, turning to Din. "I thought you and Officer Jenny said that this planet was a neutral system."
"Unless there was something they didn't tell me, the weapons say otherwise." Din said, taking notice of a Stormtrooper helmet. He scoffed at the quality of it and tossed it behind him.
Ash walked to more crates before hearing something. He turned and got ready to pull out his lightsaber, but saw Nurse Joy instead.
"Nurse Joy?" Ash asked as everyone turned to her.
Nurse Joy said nothing and looked to the crates. She walked towards one and took out another blaster.
"Why is this here?" Nurse Joy asked. "Earth should not have any caches, from any war. This is wrong."
"War caches?" Zoey asked as everyone looked to the weapons. "Looks like these are from any war!"
Din stepped up to Nurse Joy. "How do you know what these are?" He asked suspiciously.
"A good question," Nurse Joy replied. "But not the time for an answer."
"What do you…?" Ash started out.
"Hey!"
Everyone turned to the entrance, seeing the trapdoor drop, a staircase emerged from it, and the four doctors from before walked down.
"We climbed down when there were stairs all along?" May asked. "Are you kidding me?!"
"Wait," Iris said, looking to the lead doctor. Her eyes widened before shooting his cap, revealing him to be a boy their age, with dark hair and unnatural eyes. "You!" She roared, running at him in rage.
"Iris!" Cynthia yelled, grabbing Iris as she tried to get free, a look on her face that showed she was ready to tear the boy apart. "Settle down!"
"Shamus!" Ash exclaimed.
"You all!" Shamus exclaimed.
"I thought we recognized you!"
"That voice!" Brock exclaimed as he and Ash turned to the other three doctors.
The three tore their disguises off with Shamus, the latter now in black and orange clothing while the others had kung fu attire.
"Kail!" The boy with blue hair said, making a t-pose while on one foot.
"Kim!" The redhead boy yelled, posing as if he had something held between his hands.
"Kai!" The chubby brown-haired boy said, making a crane pose without lifting his feet.
"You're the Invisible Brothers!" Ash exclaimed.
Upon hearing this, the brothers faltered.
"Invincible!" Kail corrected angrily. "Invisible is something you can't see but isn't there! Invincible means never able to be defeated! Don't you know your words?!"
"Sorry." Ash apologized modestly.
"Ash, Brock, Iris… do you know them?" Serena asked.
Too well with that shrew!" Iris yelled as Cynthia dropped her. "That disgrace of a Pokémon trainer left his Tepig to die, and tried to cheat others out of their own Pokémon!"
"And those three attacked Misty for no good reason!" Brock exclaimed. "They claimed to be so strong, but in the end they were just cheaters who couldn't even go through a fair fight!"
"What's going on here?!" Ash demanded to know.
"After your Pignite attacked me, Don George reported me for what I did," Shamus explained. "The cops found me, and took away my Pokémon and my right to be a trainer."
"We were banned from battling after your Cerulean City friend attacked us with her Gyarados," Kai said. "We couldn't go anywhere to battle, until we met Shamus."
"And you set up a fake Pokémon Center to swindle unsuspecting trainers." Din said.
"And together we set up…" Kim started before falling flat upon hearing what Din said. "Okay, yeah. That's it."
"But we met each other, and learned that we were both disgraced," Shamus said. "We wanted revenge, and we found this building to turn into a Pokémon Center."
"That's why it wasn't on any map!" Serena exclaimed.
"It was shut down years ago for poor maintenance." Nurse Joy said.
"But the Invincible Brothers still had some rights left," Kail said. "We called to have that Nurse Joy make this place legit. And we found these weapons too."
"You knew about the war cache?" Din asked.
"With the attacks of Teams Aqua and Magma in Hoenn, Team Galactic in Sinnoh, and Team Plasma in Unova, we knew it was only a matter of time before this Region was attacked, especially since we slipped by the radar to get to Kalos so we could carry out our plans for revenge," Kail said. "When we found the building, we found the weapons underneath, and knew the same thing."
"The people need protection, and that comes through these arms," Shamus went on. "A lot of trainers had already known of a dangerous group in this region, and we spread the word, as trainers came by and left our Pokémon Center."
"But they never knew that once they left their Pokémon with us, we'd be getting an army to fight for Kalos," Kim continued. "An army that will demand a high price for defending the people from the next big threat."
"A price of money and Pokémon." Din deducted.
"This plan had no hitches until you came along," Shamus said before reaching for one of the crates, pulling out a repeating blaster. "But once you're gone, the plan will still be flawless."
"There are missiles here equal to the strength of a nuke," Cynthia said. "And you're willing to fire on us?"
"We'll tell your tale." Shamus simply said before firing the repeating blaster.
"Get down!" Din yelled, causing everyone to scatter while he grabbed Nurse Joy by the wrist.
"What are you doing?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Stay here," Din said, pulling Nurse Joy behind a large empty crate. "We'll let you know when it's safe."
"That will not be—"
"Please, we can handle this." Din said before firing his Whistling Birds, right as Shamus and the Invincible Brothers took out Pokéballs, releasing the Pokémon inside.
"Machamp, go!" Shamus called out as a Machamp was released to face Chesnaught, Chespin and Pancham.
"Help them out, Croagunk!" Brock called out, sending out Croagunk to even the odds against Machamp.
"Tentacruel, we choose you!" Kail called out as he, Kim and Kai all let out one Tentacruel each.
"Pikachu, I choose you!" Ash called out as Pikachu, Munchlax, Pachirisu and Emolga charged to fight the Tentacruel trio.
"Ready, Glameow! Go!" Zoey called out, summoning her Glameow.
"Glaceon!" Cynthia called out, sending out her Glaceon to help.
"Payback, Ketchum!" Kim yelled, taking out a rifle while Kail and Kai grabbed Confederacy blasters.
"Watch out!" Ash yelled, turning his lightsaber on and deflecting the blasts while May aimed her pistol, only for it to get shot out of her hand.
"Dank Farrik!" May cursed. However, she remembered the weapon she found, and picked it up. Aiming it, she fired as Din came next to her.
"A Bo-Rifle," Din said. "Nice."
"That does have a good ring to it." May said before firing, causing Kim and Kail to dodge out of the way.
Iris fired at Shamus, who started to focus his fire on her. She backflipped out of the way before landing in a split on top of two crates. There, she somersaulted onto the ground again, landing next to Cynthia in a three-point landing.
"I can see why you wanted to kill him now," Cynthia said, backing away from the line of fire. "Use Ice Beam!" She ordered her Glaceon.
"Glacia!" Glaceon yelled, sending out her Ice Beam against one of the Tentacruel.
"Discharge!" Dawn ordered.
"Thunderbolt!" Zoey ordered.
"Quick Attack, Pikachu!" Ash yelled.
"Pika!" Pikachu complied, running quickly at the center Tentacruel while lightning attacks hit the other two.
"What have we got?" Din asked, scanning his Chesnaught. He remembered what Chesnaught pulled off when still a Quilladin. "Chesnaught!" He yelled. "Fire!"
Chesnaught complied as he defended Chespin. Roaring, he let out his Pin Missiles, which fired like the Whistling Birds, and hit Machamp dead center.
"Dark Pulse, Pancham!" Serena yelled.
"Use Vine Whip!" Clemont ordered.
"Cham!" Pancham yelled, sending out a Dark Pulse.
"Che! Pin!" Chespin yelled, using Vine Whip to hold Machamp in place.
Machamp attacked with Mach Punch, but Chesnaught rammed him back. There, Chespin's Vine Whip caught him, before the Dark Pulse from Pancham hit him.
Zoey pulled out her new Blastsword and went alongside Dawn and Ash, firing at the Invincible Brothers.
"I'm new here, but I can tell Shamus is the one calling the shots," Zoey said. "We need to take him down."
"Leave that to me!" Iris yelled, running forward.
"Good thinking, Zoey!" Dawn complimented.
"Thanks," Zoey replied, blushing a little from the compliment. "Hey," she said, snapping out of it. "Shouldn't someone get the soccer players out?"
"Maybe they heard the gunfire and ran out." Dawn pondered.
"Oh, come on!" James complained back in the room. "Johnny can't be that dumb to let that girl stay around! He was kissing his brother, for goodness sake's!"
"Considering what he did to Ekans in the first movie, I wouldn't be surprised if he pumped the gal full of lead too." Meowth mused.
"Wobba." Wobbuffet agreed.
Suddenly, the building began to shake. All of the Team Rocket trio looked around curiously.
"Should we check that out?" James asked.
"Maybe when Jessie wakes up," Meowth said. "Remember, she wants to wake up at the…"
"Climax time!" Jessie announced, springing out of bed. "Let's go and…" she started before seeing the movie. "Did Johnny catch her in the act yet?" She asked.
"Almost there!" James replied. "The second movie is always the most underrated."
"What about the third?" Meowth asked.
"They made a third?" James asked.
"The surround sound here is the best!" Jessie exclaimed. "Almost like the guns are actually real."
Downstairs again, Iris was performing parkour as Shamus fired at her. She spiraled through several blasts before barrel-rolling towards Shamus, forcing the repeating blaster downwards and out of his hands.
"I'll make you pay for all you did!" Iris snarled.
"Lady, I don't even know who you are." Shamus remarked, reaching for a pistol, only for Iris to shoot at his feet.
"Excuse me?!" Iris spat. "The name's Iris!"
"Yeah… don't remember." Shamus replied.
"You think you're funny, huh?!" Iris yelled, throwing a punch at Shamus. "You nasty little son of a—!"
Before Iris could finish, Din flew at him with his jetpack, sending him into an empty crate.
"Mando!" Iris mulled.
"What?" Din asked defensively.
"I was gonna clean his clock!"
Din shook his head as he approached Shamus, seeing him getting up. "Fine," he said. "Just let me soften him up."
"Oh that's just…" Iris started before going after him, moping. "Oh, Dank Farrik."
Shamus growled as Din approached him. He was about to reach for another Pokéball before spotting something from the crate he was thrown into.
"You gonna make this harder?" Din asked.
"Just for you!" Shamus yelled, taking out a grenade launcher.
Before Shamus could launch the weapon, Grogu used the Force to make it overload. He yelped as it flew out of his hand before Din shot his flamethrower at him, scorching him. He tried getting up again, but Iris stepped on his burnt hand.
"Abandon that, if you can!" Iris quipped before punching Shamus to the ground.
"Feel better now?" Din asked.
"Much, thanks." Iris replied.
Back with the Invincible Brothers, Machamp, seeing Shamus was down, ran to attack the Pokémon fighting the trio of Tentacruel. However, before the buff Fighting-Type could make a hit, Chesnaught launched both Pancham and Chespin at him, who punched him in the face, causing him to fall with his eyes swirling.
"Use Iron Tail, Glameow!" Zoey ordered.
"Whirlpool, Piplup! And you use Super Fang, Pachirisu!" Dawn called out.
Piplup sent forth a Whirlpool at one of the Tentacruel. With it sent up in the air, Pachirisu and Glameow spiraled through it, landing Super Fang and Iron Tail respectively.
"Blizzard, Glaceon!" Cynthia called out.
"Poison Jab, Croagunk!" Brock yelled.
"Munchlax, use Solar Beam!" May called out.
"Croak!" Croagunk yelled, sending a Poison Jab at the second Tentacruel. As she was sent back, both Glaceon's Blizzard attack and Munchlax's Solar Beam blasted her, causing her to go flying into the Tentacruel that Dawn and Zoey took down.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Ash yelled.
"Pika!" Pikachu called out as he leapt up. "Pika… CCCCCHHHUUUUUUUU!"
All three Tentacruel shrieked before falling back with Machamp, eyes swirling like him.
"Yeah!" Ash cheered.
"Pi-Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
Just then, the overloaded grenade launcher that Shamus tried to use started to spark. Everyone took notice before it fired.
"Look out!" Ash yelled, slashing at the launched grenade, only for it to explode after it was split, creating a hole behind Ash from one half while the other caused a fire beneath. Both caused the room to shake, which then caused Ash to stagger. He tried to regain his balance, but it was too late, as the shaking was enough to cause him to fall back into the hole.
"Ash!" Serena yelled.
"No!" Din yelled, running to try and get Ash.
Ash dangled from the edge, but could not hold on for much longer. His fingers lost their hold, and Ash yelled as he fell down. Before he could even fall, though, something caught him in midair.
"What the…?" Brock asked as everyone stood ready to jump down to grab Ash.
"Grogu?" Zoey asked, turning to Bonnie, who had taken cover the whole time.
"Not him," Bonnie said, shaking her head. "He fell asleep after stopping Shamus."
"Then who?" Cynthia asked before seeing shocked expressions on the faces of Shamus and the Invincible Brothers. She turned around, and gasped upon seeing Nurse Joy with her hand outstretched.
"Nurse Joy?!" Dawn exclaimed incredulously.
Nurse Joy did not respond, instead pulling her hand towards her. As she did, Ash was successfully lifted back out of the hole, landing on his feet next to Pikachu.
"Pika-Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed.
"I'm okay, Pikachu," Ash said before seeing Nurse Joy. "Did she just… use the Force?"
Nurse Joy sighed before approaching Shamus and the Invincible Brothers. Once in front of them, she took out a badge.
"By order of the Pokémon Inspection Agency, you are under arrest." Nurse Joy declared, surprising everyone in the room.
Back upstairs, Team Rocket had just finished the movie.
"Ryme City sure offers great movies." Meowth said.
"Gonna have to see the third, see if it's any good," James said before looking outside. "It seems those brothers we ran into back in Kanto were here."
"Really?" Jessie asked, looking out the window as well, seeing the group bringing Shamus to a group of Officer Jennies, who were checking the crates from the cave. "Huh," she said. "Looks like we missed out on something."
"At least we're all rested from it." James pointed out.
"We're in the clear!" Meowth proclaimed.
Suddenly, there was a knocking on the door. Quickly, they put their disguises back on, with Jessie answering the door.
"Hello?" Jessie asked, but jumped back upon seeing another Officer Jenny.
"Were you up here the whole time?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Angels With Filthier Souls is a good movie." James said.
"So you didn't hear the scuffle? At all?"
Team Rocket simply blinked. "What scuffle?" Meowth asked.
Back outside, a man in a trench coat was looking at the weapons before Nurse Joy walked up to him.
"You said this was a neutral system." Nurse Joy said.
"I assure you, it is," the man said. "I'm as surprised as you are at how big the cache is."
"There is a possibility that there are more." Nurse Joy said, letting slip a slight accent in her voice.
"How do you plan to find them all?"
Nurse Joy looked to Din and the group. "I might have a way," she said. "Thank you, Looker."
"Any time." Looker said before walking away.
"Thank you for helping in uncovering this plot," an Officer Jenny said to the group. "I can't offer any Credits to you all, so my thanks is all you get."
"No worries," Dawn said before looking to the crates. "But all those weapons. They must have had a long history here."
"They're from different eras of war. The Clone Wars, the Rebellion and Imperial War, even the early days of the High Republic," Officer Jenny said. "I learned about them all."
"What will you do with the weapons?" Zoey asked, making sure Dawn was alright.
"They're going into lockup," Officer Jenny replied. "And we're looking through each one of them. It would be a disaster if Shamus or the Invincible Brothers got a hold of s lightsaber," she mused, surprising the group. "All the Pokémon that we're swindled are to be returned too. Thank you once again."
"Which planet did you learn all this?" Din asked.
"I'm Earth-born," Officer Jenny said. "Nurse Joy, on the other hand… you'll have to ask her yourself." She said before walking away.
Everyone looked to Nurse Joy as she watched on. Immediately, they all ran over, causing her to gasp a little.
"Nurse Joy!" Ash said, holding his hand out. "Thanks for saving me back there."
Nurse Joy recovered, shaking Ash's hand. "You are welcome." She said.
"Forgive me for asking this…" Ash said. "But… are you a Jedi?"
Everyone looked from Ash to Nurse Joy, who let go of Ash's hand calmly.
"In a way, I am." Nurse Joy said. She stepped back and reached for her chest, revealing a hidden device. As soon as she pulled it off, her entire body seemed to look as if it were digitizing away holographically, revealing instead of a human Nurse Joy, a female with yellow skin, gold eyes, a silver and grey headdress, black robes with the back, shoulders and top chest exposed, and brown boots.
"You're a Halaisi." Din said.
"A what?" Cynthia asked.
"A different alien species, from the planet of Halais." Din explained.
The female Halaisi nodded. "My name is Rig Nema," she said, bowing slightly. "I was once a part of the Jedi Order, as a Jedi Healer."
"Whoa…" May said in awe.
"Wait, what was that that the Officer Jenny from Kijimi told us?" Dawn asked.
"The only one on Earth not a human was…" Serena started before turning back to Rig Nema. "It's you! You're the Customs Official!"
"Yes, I am." Rig Nema said, nodding once again.
"You said you were a part of the Jedi Order, right?" Clemont asked. "But from what we learned, that was years ago!"
"I do still seem young, still thirty-eight years of age," Rig Nema said, chuckling. "I suppose it would make sense for me to provide an explanation for that then."
Five Years Ago…
"When I was escaping Order 66, the extermination of the Jedi, ordered by the Dark Lord of the Sith, I crashed into the oceans of Earth, during a winter season. There, my ship froze, with me still inside, for twenty-three years. Afterwards, I was pulled out by a man named Looker."
Over the site where Rig Nema's Jedi Starfighter crashed, Looker watched as several cranes pulled out the Starfighter. He noticed Rig inside and ran towards the window, getting some frost off of it, seeing her unconscious.
A short while later, Rig started to regain consciousness, and opened her eyes.
"Easy… easy…" Looker said as Rig finally awoke. "Are you okay?"
"Ugh, I think so," Rig replied, getting up and feeling her head. She looked to see R2-O14 up and about. "Good to see you too, R2," she said before looking around. "Where am I?" she asked.
"The Republic knew this as the E-97 system," Looker explained. "But we call it Earth."
"Wait," Rig said, realizing something. "I was escaping the Jedi Temple… with two other Jedi…" she recalled before turning back to Looker. "I have to get—"
"Mistress Jedi, you have been frozen… for twenty-three years," Looker said, surprising Rig. "I can't say much about what happened to your friends… but much has changed since the end of the Clone Wars."
"What do you mean?"
Looker took out a small object. "We came across this a while back, and the government recognized it as belonging to a Jedi," he said, handing it to her. "I believe you call it a holocron."
Rig looked to it before using the Force to open it. As soon as she did, a hologram of another Jedi, around her age, appeared.
"Master Kenobi!" Rig exclaimed.
"This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place," the recording of Obi-Wan Kenobi said, making Rig's heart almost drop. "This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi: trust in the Force. Do not return to the Temple. That time has passed, and our future is uncertain. Avoid Coruscant. Avoid detection. Be secret… but be strong. We will each be challenged: our trust, our faith… our friendships. But we must persevere and, in time, I believe a new hope will emerge. May the Force be with you always."
"We have lost the whereabouts of a Jedi who crashed here not long after you arrived, a man named Calem Xavier," Looker said. "Before I go on… I have to know, what's your name?"
"Rig, Rig Nema. Healer of the Jedi Order."
"Dr. Nema, I am sorry for your loss," Looker said. "But we have learned of more Jedi who have survived after we found you," he said. "It includes the original owner of the ship in your possession, A—"
"I am sorry… but I need a moment." Rig said, closing her eyes.
"I was told everything that happened. Rumors of Obi-Wan… the battles fought by the Rebels, rising of new Jedi and survival of others… they restored some of my hope, but I was lost without a cause, now realizing what led to our downfall. I needed to move on, so I met with the government, and was given the role of acting as an official among their ranks. However, I would need a disguise."
Later on, Rig Nema was looking from the top of a hill towards an academy, where several Nurse Joys were coming out from and entering into.
"I know you said you were a doctor, but this is the closest thing we can get to you gaining a disguise on this planet," Looker said. "As Lance already told you, the people of this planet don't all know about the bigger galaxy out there, so with all due respect, you would need to gain a disguise, and go to this place to blend in on Earth."
"I spoke with the other Champions and Regional leaders," Rig Nema said. "And I accept. But how will I 'blend in'?" she asked.
Looker took out a small object. "This is the Holographic Disguise Matrix," he said, causing Rig to look to him as he held it out. "The original owner of the Starfighter you had was carrying it, but after leaving the Jedi Order, I assume she forgot," he said. "We found it damaged, and repaired the bugs. It will provide you with a flawless disguise, and the voice has changed with it."
Rig hesitated to pick up the Shadow Matrix, before eventually using the Force to take it. She took a deep breath and placed it on herself, turning her into a Nurse Joy. Unlike the others, she was not smiling.
"I will still need time to recover fully." Rig said, now with a new voice with her disguise.
"Take all the time you need," Looker said. "We will always be here when you need us."
"In the following years, I attended the academy, eventually graduating to become a full-fledged Earth Nurse. I was placed in charge of overseeing refugees from the Galaxy arriving here, and helped them settle in as I did. I was relieved to hear the Empire fell not too long after my start to my new role, which turned to newfound hope after hearing of their official fall over Jakku and the Jedi starting anew. But I still had a long way to go to letting go of the Jedi I once was. I had not met anyone from the old Jedi Order…"
Present…
"Until today," Rig Nema finished as everyone listened carefully. She leaned in to Din's bag as Grogu looked at her. "Hello there, Grogu."
"You knew him?" Iris asked.
"Grogu had many Masters at the Jedi Temple, and I was one of them," Rig replied. "Suffice it to say, seeing him in your care was a relief as many of the Jedi I once knew are gone or their statuses unknown."
"I learned his name from Ahsoka Tano." Din said.
"Ahsoka…" Rig said, smiling. "She was always friendly. She was the first I learned to still be alive."
"Can you train Grogu?" Zoey asked.
"I know only the ways of old." Rig replied. "Find a new Jedi. One who is wiser, and can become better than all of us. Whoever that is will be his teacher. You all are brave to even be looking after him."
"Brave, you say?" Brock asked with hearts in his eyes.
"Huh?" Rig asked before Bonnie spun around blissfully.
"You'll never find someone as brave as Clemont!" Bonnie said.
"Perhaps I can help you mend your spirit, and we can—" Brock started out, on one knee to Rig Nema before Bonnie appeared in front of him in the same position.
"That makes you a keeper, Dr. Nema!" Bonnie said as everyone watched curiously, Bonnie and May seeming to get ready to run at the two. "So won't you please take care of my brother?"
"What about me?!" Brock exclaimed, trying to push Bonnie aside. "I'm a doctor in training, so two doctors together only makes sense!"
"You had your chance before!" Bonnie said, trying to push Brock aside as Rig could only watch in bewilderment. "She's gonna make a great wife for Clemont!"
"A WIFE?!" Dawn, Zoey, Iris, Cynthia and May all exclaimed in shock.
"It's a long…" Ash started before realization hit him. "Actually, you'd have to ask Clemont, he knows more about it than us."
"Bonnie, I told you not to do this a million times!" Clemont yelled, using his Aipom Arm to grab Bonnie, now trying to pull her away. "A million and one!"
"You too, lover boy!" May yelled, grabbing Brock by the ear. "Get… away… from… the nice Jedi!"
"But it could be the start of something—"
"Croagunk!"
Brock, May, Bonnie and Clemont all yelled, right as Croagunk used Poison Jab on his owner. However, since all four were in contact with each other, it spread not just to Brock, but all of them.
"Maybe someone else…!" Bonnie groaned.
"Thank… you." Clemont stammered.
"Why… us too?" May asked.
"So that's why… you don't try to… rewrite the stars." Brock groaned before all four fell over, causing the rest of the group, shocked at what happened like Rig Nema, to wince once they hit the ground.
"Croak…" Croagunk chuckled, picking up Brock by the shirt and dragging him, May, Bonnie and Clemont away, as everyone watched silently.
"That's a new one." Ash said, sweat-dropping as Pikachu chuckled.
"Same with Bonnie too." Serena agreed.
"Such a curious kid." Iris noted.
"I'd say there's probably no need to worry…" Zoey started out.
"But I think this is where I'd worry the most." Dawn finished up, causing Zoey to look at her in surprise.
Cynthia covered her mouth, trying to stop herself from laughing. Her cheeks puffed up as she placed both hands over, her head jittering a little before looking back to Rig Nema, who was also trying not to laugh before regaining her composure before anyone else could notice.
"Thanks again for helping us." Cynthia said, still trying not to laugh.
"Just continue training Grogu, and we will be even," Rig replied. "But I need you to look for more caches like these," she added on. "I have a feeling this was not the only one."
"Consider it done." Serena replied with a nod.
"And Ash?" Rig said, walking to Ash.
"What is it?" Ash asked.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
Rig took out a holocron and put it into Ash's hand, just as Brock, Bonnie, May and Clemont came back, now recovered.
"A training holocron," Rig replied. "It was used by Calem Xavier."
"The Jedi whose ship we found!" Clemont realized.
"Use it well," Rig said. "And you shall become what he was… an Aura Knight."
"What's that?" Ash asked before Rig noticed a helicopter arriving.
"If we meet again, you will know a little more about it," Rig replied. "And I sense we will."
Din nodded. "This is the way." He said.
"May the Force be with you." Rig said before walking to the helicopter.
Everyone waved to Rig as she took off. She smiled and waved back as she was now away.
"An actual Jedi," Zoey said. "This is the best."
"Yeah," Ash said, looking to the holocron. "And I have a feeling it will just keep getting better from here."
"So…" May said as Team Rocket slipped away behind them, just as Grogu perked and turned around right as they took off. "What are we gonna eat?"
"And how come it feels like I'm forgetting some—?" Iris started before her Pokéball flew out from her side, hitting her in the head as it flew to Grogu while she hit the ground. "Never mind, there it was."
Meanwhile, about the Imperial shuttle, the Eighth Brother and Admiral Lyste were watching over new footage of Ash, this time from his battle against the Order of the Night Wind.
"He fights more like a Jedi each time we find him," Lyste said. "We need to do something."
"Then tell the fleet to make contact with Moff Gideon." The Eighth Brother said, making it clearer this time.
"In case you forgot, they said he is busy," Admiral Lyste reminded the Eighth Brother. "And the last time I checked, this is not that big of an emergency to report."
The Eighth Brother stepped up closer to Admiral Lyste. "Would you rather go to Exegol yourself and say that a new Jedi has risen… to his face?" he questioned.
Immediately, Admiral Lyste gulped. He turned to one of the officers. "Contact the fleet again, and don't stop until we get through to Moff Gideon," he ordered hastily. "He needs to hear about what has happened… now!"
"Right away, Admiral!" the officer replied, getting to work, which caused everyone else nearby to do the same while troopers in the room returned to what they were doing after the threat made by the Eighth Brother.
Admiral Lyste panted before turning back to the Eighth Brother, pointing a finger at him. "If we get reprimanded by Moff Gideon for this because of your over-exaggeration—"
Before Admiral Lyste could even go on, the Eighth Brother used the Force to call his lightsaber from his back and into his hand. Activating one side of the Double-Bladed Lightsaber, a red blade appeared, followed by two smaller blades on the sides. Quickly, Admiral Lyste backed away and saluted. As soon as he did, the Eighth Brother deactivated his lightsaber and placed it on his back, scoffing.
"Sirs, we made it through to the fleet!" a female officer reported, getting Admiral Lyste and the Eighth Brother's attention immediately. "We've been given permission to speak with Moff Gideon."
Both Admiral Lyste and the Eighth Brother nodded before approaching the Holo-Projector on the table. Soon, the other doors closed, and Moff Gideon appeared.
"Inquisitor, Admiral," Moff Gideon spoke. "Is there a reason why you have interrupted me from my meeting?" he asked sternly.
"Moff Gideon, something stands in the way of our plans," the Eighth Brother said, showing a hologram of Ash from the recordings gathered of him, which also included new footage of him with his new holocron. "While monitoring the activity of the Mandalorian, we have also discovered a new Jedi… one who I sense has a strong yet unique connection to the Force… but it feels like something more."
Moff Gideon narrowed his eyes. "Are you certain?" he asked.
"That is the reason for this transmission." Admiral Lyste said.
"I intend to test him, see if he is indeed a Jedi," the Eighth Brother went on. "I am requesting a shuttle delivery of programmed guards, straight from Vassek." He said.
"Request approved," Moff Gideon said. "But remember our goal… we must regain the asset."
"Yes, Moff Gideon." The Eighth Brother said before he and Admiral Lyste bowed in respect before signing off.
