And here we have chapter 9 where we have a little fun with Inko fight. Enjoy the chapter.
For the first time in a while, Inko wakes up before Hisashi. She looks at her husband and sees many bite marks, hickeys, scratches, and marks from the handcuffs in his wrists.
" I guess I went a little too far yesterday." She whispers, then she bit his lower lip a little thinking about last night. " Good thing you made the sound barrier or the neighbors would hear everything." She then goes to make breakfast before her family wakes up.
While making breakfast she had time to think a little about her son's situation, his quirk would make him a target and that is the worst thing that Inko could think. Hero Association, Villains, corrupted heroes, other countries' governments, Izuku wouldn't be able to trust anyone.
" What can I do? He wants to be a hero and I don't want to be in the way of his dream." She knows the only reason Hisashi can be free is because of the deals they made long ago. "He is keeping his word until now, but we must be prepared if someday he decides to go back on his word."
She then feels two muscled arms going around her from behind and she looks up to see her husband looking at her with a sad expression.
"You still mumble when you are worried." He then turns her around so he could kiss her." He won't go back on his word, I made sure of that." He sees that his wife is still worried.
"I know you have everything under control, but I am still worried." she then put her head on his abdomen, he was so tall that he had to get down to kiss her every time." I was always the scared cat from the group!" She then feels his hands on her shoulders.
"You still worry too much about many things, but even I am constantly worried about our son." He then makes her look at him." Izuku will be able to protect himself and those he loves soon." He then gives her a big smile.
"Because he has your quirk?" He then looks at her in the eyes and she feels her legs going weak.
"Because he is our son, he would be a hero even if he were quirkless." He then sees that she relax a little. "Every day I put stronger barriers around the house, David and James help me keep an eye on the kids too. If needed, I can use noble phantasms to come home and save them."
"I know you make sure he is always safe, but I am not worried only about him. You too have to be careful, I want you both safe and in my arms." She then looks at him with a serious face."Am I clear?"
"Crystal" He then kisses her and starts helping her make breakfast. "Can I just ask you something?" She then looks at him."Can you try not to send him to the hospital today?"
"Of course! We will just spar a little." Her smile said otherwise and he wasn't stupid to try to argue with her.
After some minutes Izuku wakes up and went to eat his breakfast and Hisashi went to work while they prepared everything to go to the dojo, David was going to give them a ride there since he was going with Melissa too.
"Kacchan is sad that she won't go too, Mei said she would work on her machines and Neito is training his body so he can use Kacchan explosions without hurting his arms," Izuku said while reading his friend's messages.
" I know you kids like to train together, but this is something your father and I thought would be good for you." She then pats his head and he just smiles."Since we have to wait, David, how about I help you master the legend?"
He then looks at his mother and nods, any help is welcome. Inko just chuckle at his enthusiasm
"Okay then, I want you to start to memorize the chant for the noble phantasm." He then looks at her with a confused expression.
"But I am still learning to use Rho Aias, isn't better to wait?" Inko then looks at him and smiles.
"No son! The noble phantasm can only be used if you have memorized the whole legend, don't mean you have to be able to use everything in full power." She then brings a notebook and a pencil with her quirk."If you try to use Emiya noble phantasm now, you will be able to use only for a few seconds for example, and only with things you have already created."
Izuku then sees her drawing Kanshou and Bakuya, the blades of chaos, a shield, and a bow.
" Those are the weapons you made, if you use it now, they will be the only thing there." She then takes the book from his hands." The first time you used his legend, you tried to repair the old radio right?" He nods."So that is what you should do for some time, take at least one hour each day to try to make parts to repair things like you did before, that way you can practice the projections and can start learning how some things work."
"That way I can make more things of my own to use in the noble phantasm?" She then nods and gives him the book on the page where the chant was.
"You can start practicing use the noble phantasm since you already memorized the legend, it won't be as powerful as the original or your father, but you will be able to do something." She then looks at him in the eyes with a more serious expression."Try the chant now."
"O-Okay."He then takes a deep breath and starts reading the chant in the book.
"My body is made out of swords.
My blood is of iron and my heart of glass.
I have overcome countless battlefields.
Not even once retreating,
Not even once being understood.
Unknown to Death,
Nor known to Life.
He was always alone, intoxicated with victory in a hill of swords.
Thus, his life has no meaning.
That body was certainly made out of swords.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works."
Nothing happened, not even a sign that he was doing right.
"I see, you said every word right, but you don't have enough mana to use that, same thing with Rho Aias." She said while looking at him.
"What I do then mom?" If it would help him become stronger he would do anything.
"Simple, start to create and absorb projections." She sees the confused face of her son and chuckles a little."The more projections you create and absorb, the less mana will be needed to create, but every time you absorb them, you will increase your mana reserves a little."
"I see, thanks, mom." He then starts to create and absorb Kanshou and Bakuya.
They waited for a few minutes until David came with Melissa, they then went to the dojo, the ride was calm with Inko and David talking about how this will be good for the kids while Izuku and Melissa talked about which game they could play next week.
When they finally arrived, they saw big black metal doors with two red pillars that had golden Chinese dragons going all the way to the top, the doors opened before they could reach the bell.
"I AM HERE..." That voice made Izuku's legs weak, couldn't be him right? must be some kind of recording. "BEFORE YOU MY FRIENDS!" All Might, the symbol of peace was there and Izuku didn't know how to react, his idol there in front of him.
"Uncle Might!" Melissa went to hug him and Izuku was still frozen in place."I didn't know you would be here too." She smiled when he picked her and gave her a tight hug.
"HAHAHAHA! I wouldn't miss the opportunity to see my favorite niece, I heard you are training a lot." She nods with a big smile on her face."Good, one day you will be stronger than me." He then looks at Izuku and the kid was like a statue. "You must be young Izuku, nice to meet you, young man. I am a great friend of your parents.
"N-N-N-N-Nice to meet you All might sir! It is an honor to meet you. I-I-I-I-I am Izuku Midoriya sir!" Izuku said while bowing a hundred times, he then takes his notebook and opens a page to All might. "S-S-S-S-Sir! Can I have an autograph?" All might smiles and sign the book and give it back to Izuku that grabs with a huge smile on his face, he then look at his mother."Mom, why didn't you and dad told me you knew All might?" He whispers to his mother.
"Sorry, your father was jealous." She apologized to her son."Toshi, you should have told us you were coming here too." She said while smiling at the symbol of peace.
"HAHAHAHAHA! I know Hisashi wouldn't let me come here since he is so stubborn." He knows the best way to tease his friend and he would do something later just for that."Enter everyone, the class has already started."
They follow him inside the dojo and see people of all ages training. They then see a man leading everyone. He was 5,7 ft tall with a fit body, short spiked orange hair, his brown eyes were intense. He was wearing a simple white Judogi and was giving orders with the precision and strength of a commander to the unit.
He then sees the group enter "Continue the series if I see someone slowing down, the whole group will do 200 push-ups." He then goes greet them."Hello Toshi, David, old witch." He then gives a wide grin while looking at Inko, the other adults knew they would start that as soon as they saw each other.
"Hello again rejected Ryu, ready for a rematch?" She had a wide grin of her own.
"Wait! Before you two start, let us introduce the kids." The man then looks at the two children looking at him with slight fear in their eyes.
"Nice to meet you both, I am Kazuya Kendo." He then bows and offers them his hand, which Melissa grabbed first.
"Nice to meet you, I am Melissa Shield!" She gave him a big smile, he nods and then offers his hand to Izuku that grab a little more nervous.
"N-N-N-Nice to meet you, I am Izuku Midoriya sir! Please give me your autograph Blood Fist sir!" Inko pouted a little, now she understands what Hisashi feels every time Toshinori is involved.
"Sure thing kid." He then signs the notebook and gives it back to Izuku."How about a little spar Inko? Just to warm up?"
"Oh? Do you want to lose your student's respect? Be my guest! I will change my clothes real quick."She had a bag with her clothes there.
"Second door to the left is the girls' room." He then points to the corridor behind him. They had a wide grin on their faces, they really like to fight each other, she went there to change while he looks at his disciples.
"EVERYONE! We have guests." Everyone then looks at the group and when they saw All might there, the reactions were what he expected. people wanting autographs and photos. "Silence! I know you all want to talk with the symbol of peace, but this is still a dojo, so behave with discipline." They stopped and got quiet.
"HAHAHAHA! Don't worry everyone, I will take photos and give autographs after class." This seemed to make them happy, it was rare to see All might in person, so they were really excited to talk with him.
"I want you all out of the tatami, I will spar with an old friend now and I want you to see and then point flaws and how you would use other techniques." the students then leave and look at him expecting to see a fight between All Might and their master.
He then goes to the middle and just waits a few minutes for Inko to join him wearing a blue judogi. The students were surprised that he would fight her instead. The rest of the guests go stay close to the students to see the fight.
"Hey, Toshi, four thousand yens on Kazuya" David whisper with a little smile on his face.
"I know Inko is strong enough to be a fair fight so I agree, four thousand on her" He wouldn't miss the opportunity to a little friendly bet. Both then decided to pull their cellphones to record the fight.
"ALL might, put the timer to three minutes please, this should be enough as a warm-up. Don't you agree Inko?" He then sees her doing stretches.
"Yeah, it will be just a warm-up today." She then looks at him with a determined expression."Ready when you are Kazuya."
Both fighters bow to each other before going to a battle stance, the dojo was quiet, everyone waiting for the fight to start. All might then start the timer.
"Remember Inko, we are just sparring today, so no quirks. I don't want to risk my disciples' safety or sanity." He then looks at the audience with a smile on his face.
"Yeah, we will be able to do that some other day when my husband is available to heal us after the fight." She wanted to go all out, but without someone to heal them, they would be in trouble.
Inko then jumps at Kazuya and tries to kick his right leg to make him lose balance, but he only took a step back and went to grab her left arm and she avoided it before he could reach her.
Kazuya knows Inko will try to get him in some kind of joint lock, that was her favorite move, so if he could get her first, he would win. In a fight where quirks were allowed, Inko had an advantage since she could use her quirk to make her enemy loses his balance and miss the attacks.
Inko was trying to make him kick her head, he would then be vulnerable to an attack from below, if she got him in a joint lock she would win.
He then goes to offensive, trying to grab her arms or kick her legs to make her lose balance."I see you are faster Inko, I am impressed." He then tries to kick her head, but she gets down to dodge.
"You are faster too, and I can see you got some muscles too, you decided to follow Hisashi's advice?" She tries to punch his stomach since he was with his leg up, but he dropped his leg trying to kick the top of her head.
"He was right that I was faster than most class and I admit that I didn't have much strength without my quirk." He misses for only a few inches."That's why I decided to get some muscles, I hope I can fight him soon like we are doing, no quirks, only a friendly spar." He then sees that two minutes and twelve seconds had passed.
Inko then try to grab his leg, when he jumped to avoid, she jumped too, but instead, she grabbed his arm and tried to throw him over her shoulder."Got you!" Instead of throwing him, he jumped before she could do it and spun in time to put the other hand on her arms and going to the ground with her in an arm lock. He only needed to hold her for thirty seconds now.
"Sorry Inko, but it is my win." He then sees her grin and she escapes his arms lock and puts her leg around his head putting him in a neck lock. Only twenty seconds left.
"Did you say something Kazuya?" She was certain she won with that move, until she felt his legs on her neck, pulling her to the ground. She hit her head hard and lost the grip on his neck, he then locked her neck with his legs and used his hands to hold her arms. Just ten seconds left.
"I said that is my win Inko!" They then hear the bell and he then gets up and offers her his hand."I admit you almost got me there with that, you are still the best fighter I know Inko, I hope this becomes a regular thing again." She grabs his hand and stands with a big smile on her face.
All might pass the money to David with a little pout on his face, he then goes talk with the fighters.
"That was a good warm-up, I hope we can do it again too." They then hear the audience applauses and Toshinori coming to them.
"That was indeed a good fight, both of you are a lot better since the last time." He then pats them in the back and the rest of the audience was impressed someone could keep up with their master, sure it was a quick spar, but people usually lose in less than a minute.
"Itsuka, come with us, please. The rest of you can talk with All might now." He then turns to his friends."Come to my office, we can talk there." They follow him to the office and Izuku sees the girl following them.
She has orange hair in a ponytail that went a little below her shoulders, green eyes and she was wearing a simple white judogi.
When they finally sit in the office, Kazuya served some tea for them, he sits in the chair in front of them with the girl on his side."First of all, I am happy to see you guys again. You are still a great fighter Inko, when Hisashi is free, please come here so we can go all out." He then gave her a wide grin. "This is Itsuka, she is my daughter and she has great potential."
She then bows in respect."My name is Itsuka Kendo, it is a pleasure to meet you all." She gives them a small friendly smile.
"Oh my! she behaves better than you already? Must be from her mother's side then." Inko wouldn't resist teasing her rival."Nice to meet you Itsuka, I am Inko Midoriya, I am an old friend of your father and this is my son Izuku." Izuku they bow like she did and smiled.
"Inko please, one fight is enough. I am David Shield and this is my daughter Melissa" Melissa bow and smile too.
"I know she is joking and yes she inherited a lot of things from my wife. Now, about the reason you are all here, Toshi told me you want both kids to start learning martial arts." Both parents nod and he then looks to Melissa."Melissa, why would you want to learn how to fight?"
"I am training to be both a hero and a support gear provider to other heroes. I want to learn how to fight to protect my friends and myself." He sees in her eyes, the fire, the passion, she is strong-willed and he wants to help her explore her potential.
"Good, fight for the others is indeed something a hero must do all the time." He then looks at Izuku."What about you Izuku? Why you want to learn how to fight?" The boy then looks at him in the eyes with the same determination that Melissa.
"I want to be a hero like All might and save people with a smile on my face, learn to fight to protect myself is not the reason, I want to protect my friends and family." Kazuya looks at the boy and sees his younger self in him and smiles 'this will be interesting.' He thinks.
"All right then, the classes will be from Monday to Friday at 17:00, each day I teach a different martial art so some people just learn one while other people like to learn two or more. I make sure the students have a schedule for training at home too, so you guys can add them to your training." He then looks at them with a more serious expression.
" One more thing, if any of you uses what you learn here to hurt other people in any situation besides self-defense, you will be expelled. I expect both here at least 10 minutes early to change clothes and stretches." the kids then nod."Itsuka, you will be responsible for them" She then looks at her father confused.
"Why me? I just started training 2 months ago, I can't teach anything." He then laughs and puts his hand on her shoulder.
"That is the reason I want you in charge of them, so you can learn as my disciples and learn to lead the other as a master should do, you three will train with the rest of the class, but I want you to help them after class since you three have the same age, you can help each other improve."
"Okay dad, I will do my best." She then looks at both kids. "Please be patient with me."
"Yeah, please take care of us," Melissa said and Izuku nods.
"Good, now please give us adults some privacy." The kids then go outside to know each other better. Kazuya then look at Inko." He really looks like Hisashi and she looks a lot like your wife David."
"Yeah, speaking of wife, where is yours?" Kazuya chuckles and looks at him.
"She went buy some things so I can make dinner later." He then looks at Inko." If you guys are wondering why I choose to put Itsuka as a "master" for the kids, the truth is that I can see them as we were in UA. Even if people wanted both hero classes to compete with each other, we always were friends." Inko smile at the memory.
"We always had a healthy rivalry, many of our old friends are back in town. Mitsuki and Masaru still live near our house, James and Samantha live near here, and now that we can see each other is like the old days too."
"I may have known you guys for less time, but I am glad that we can have those moments." David was really happy to have his friends around him and that his daughter had so many good friends too.
"We will have barbeque this weekend at my house, how about you come with your family?" She would like to catch up with him and that was a good opportunity to reunite the group.
"I would like that, it would be a good opportunity for you guys to meet my wife." They then started talking about their works and family.
-/Outside the room/-
"So you can use anything from the legends?" She was impressed by Izuku's quirk, it sure looks powerful."I can grow my hand, but that's it. I know is not as cool as yours, but I still want to be a hero."
"Are you kidding? I am quirkless and I am still training to be a hero, you can do many things with your quirk." Melissa said while looking at her.
"Sorry, I didn't want to offend. It just, heroes out there have flashy quirks, so is kinda hard to compete with that." She said while scratching the back of her head.
"I know what you mean, but Melissa is right. You could throw things to capture bad guys or catch people from buildings on fire. honestly, you can do many things." He looks at her and she can see that both are sincere.
"Okay then, sorry about that." She then gives a bright smile while looking at both"You guys better be ready, because my father training will be hard and I will make sure you guys will keep up." She then looks to Melissa. "Thanks for the push."
"You are welcome, Kendo sensei." she winks to her and she gets red from embarrassment while Izuku just laughs at the joke.
"Ugh! Please don't do that. I still don't know why my father said that." She then looks at All might surrounded by fans."How you guys know All might?"
"My father makes his costumes and Izuku parents are friends with him." Melissa explained while looking at him."If you want his autograph all you need to do is ask, uncle Might like to do that for his fans."
"I will go do that then." She went to grab her notebook and ask for the symbol of peace autograph.
" Since we will start training here, we will have less time to train with everyone," Izuku said while looking at Itsuka going. "Kacchan will focus on her explosions, Mei will start building bigger things and Neito will have to train his stamina more and train with only them." He then got a sad smile on his face.
"We can still train together on weekends and we can still train when we finish our lessons here. Is not like we are moving away, we are just trying different methods." She puts her hand on his shoulder and gives him a reassuring smile.
" You are right, thanks, Melissa." He then smiles at her and both went to talk with All might, they can't wait to see what they will learn here.
