Sorry for the delay, work has been busy lately. Here is a chapter with the most recent waifu from the manga.
Only a few minutes after the talk in the Kazuya office, Izuku sent a message to all his friends saying that he and Melissa would train there every day. They were surprised to know that now they wouldn't be able to train together as before.
Mei was sitting in her father's workshop, trying to repair an old toaster. She was working on it for some time, normally something would have already exploded, but it was quiet.
"Dear, what happened to our daughter?" Samantha asked while looking at her daughter. "She is working on machines as usual, but she looks sad!" She doesn't need a quirk to know when her daughter is not feeling well.
"I guess the reason is that Izuku and Melissa went to the dojo today to start training there, he told her a few minutes ago that he will start training there almost every day." He can see that she will be lonely without them, sure they can meet on the weekends, but she was used to seeing them all the time." I told her that Hisashi bought all the parts she asked for and that it would be here tomorrow, but she misses her friends." She was anti-social before, now that she has friends, she must want to be with them all the time.
" They became friends very fast, like us when we were younger." She smiles at the memory.
"Yeah, we were all friends and rivals. Mitsuki and me, Inko and Kazuya, we were all motivating each other to do our best every day." He then looks at his wife and gives her a soft kiss on the lips.
" Wait, that's it! Since they are training with a pro hero, she could do the same." James then looks at his wife, he knows what she means and that was indeed a good idea.
"I agree, since they will train there from Monday to Friday, she could do the same and train with a pro hero, but who?" He put his hand on his chin and try to imagine who could help train his daughter.
"I can't since I have auto-aim, it must be someone that trained their eyes and body to be able to use in combat." She then starts thinking about pro heroes that were gunslingers, she then remembers the right person."Wait! I know, I can ask Lady Nagant." Her husband then looks at her and understands the reason to choose her.
"Wouldn't be better to call Snipe? He is a good shooter. She is too young, sure she may be the best in the country, but she must be busy right?" What he said is true, she IS the best, but she must be really busy.
"We can ask her today, she is coming here, even if she is young, she is still good enough to get the title of the best sniper in the country with only a few months." He then looks at her confused.
"What you mean she is coming here, why is she coming here?" He looks at his wife that was trying and failing to suppress her laugh.
"I was planning to meet her for a little duel, since you have a good training ground here, we decided to use it." She had a smirk on her face and he pouted a little.
"Ugh! Fine, but you should have told me, now I know how Hisashi feels." He said with fake anger while she laughed."If she agrees, I believe our daughter can become the best sniper in the world." He then looks to his daughter still working on the old toaster.
"Yeah, I know she loves working on the machines and she will start building amazing things as you do, but she will want to be in the front line fighting side by side with her friends. Like you do when we need you." She smiled looking at her daughter.
After a few minutes, their guest arrived. Kaina Tsutsumi, or by her hero name, Lady Nagant is a tall, curvy young woman with dark blue and pink two-tone long hair that was in a ponytail. She was wearing light white boots, a dark blue sleeveless dress with two metallic protections on her chest, a dark blue visor on her right eye that went up like a horn, and a metallic belt. She debuted a few months ago, but she skyrockets through ranks
"Samantha-senpai! Come here and hug me." She opens her arms wide to receive a hug from her friend.
" I was waiting for you, ready for a friendly duel?" She had a big smirk on her face, she knows it would be tough, but that was the reason it was good.
"Sure, I hope you don't hold back senpai!" she answers with a wink, she then sees James smiling and Mei still working on the toaster."Hello James, I want to thank you again for the upgrade in my costume, the vizor helps a lot when is raining or when it has too much wind." She then offers her hand which he takes.
"Good, I made sure to keep your mobility, protection, and style." She then looks at the little girl still working on the machine.
"Mei~, come to say hi to your Big sister!" She then sees that the little girl still hasn't noticed her presence and decided to go pick her up.
"Wah! What the-" She then look behind her and see the woman smiling at her."Hey, Kaina sis, what are you doing here?" She then hugs the woman."I thought you were busier now that you became the best in the country?"
"I am never too busy to come to see you guys, your mother is my inspiration after all." She then looks at Samantha that blushes a little." Oh? Are you embarrassed senpai?" the teasing only made James laugh since usually, he was the target of his wife's teases.
" Let's just go already!"She then started walking to the training ground with the group following her with Mei still in Kaina's arms.
After they went to the elevator and went underground where the training arena was, James decided to sit down with Mei to see the duel.
"The rules are simple, those machines will launch smaller targets each time, we will shoot, and the first to miss loose. No quirks or it wouldn't be fun, we can choose one gun to use, but choose well because we can't change later." She then looks at the young woman and sees that she was excited.
" You can go the first senpai!" She said with a huge smile on her face.
They went to choose their guns, Samantha took an M4A1 Assault Riffle while Kaina took an M27 Assault Rifle.
"I guess we are the same, right Senpai?" She said while looking at the guns they choose.
"I guess we are, let's see if our aim is the same too." She winks at her and both prepare to begin the duel.
The machine launched two red disks with 30cm and they shoot it easy, then it shoots two disks with 25cm and they shoot easy too.
"This is too easy senpai! Make at least launch faster." She didn't feel the challenge when the targets were being so slow.
"Okay, each launch will double the speed, how about it?" She also wanted things to be harder.
"Now we are talking." She smirked and after changing the machine they could go again.
The targets were getting smaller and faster each time they were launched, but they keep hitting them. After a few minutes, the target became as small as the head of a screw. Mei was watching the duel and was impressed that they could hit targets so small and so fast, sure they weren't using their quirks, but it was still impressive.
Samantha shoots, but missed by little."Damn, I missed." She then sees Kaina following her target without breathing, she then shoots and hits the target."Woah! You did it!" She then goes to hug the younger woman.
"That was a good challenge Senpai, I hope we can do this more times." Samantha then looks at her and then to Mei that was impressed by their abilities.
" Me too, this was a good duel." She then looks to her daughter and Kaina then looks to Mei too, James and Mei went congratulate both for the duel.
"That was so cool mom! You missed by just a little." Samantha then picks her daughter in her arms.
"That was something interesting to watch, I am already planning to make weapons with smaller bullets for when you need to hit smaller targets." He was already drawing sketches in his notebook.
"Good idea, I may have perfect aim, but I still need the gun to be the right size to hit my target." She then looks at her husband in the eyes and he understood what she was going to say now.
He just signs with his head and took Mei from her arms.
"Kaina?" She looks to the younger woman."Would you train my daughter?" Her eyes widened in surprise by the question.
"Me? Why me?" She then sees the older woman get a more serious expression on her face.
"Because I use my quirk to have a perfect aim, you became the best by training, you deserve to be called the best gunslinger in the country." Kaina blushed a little, she wasn't used to such praises about her training, sure she was praised for her work before, but never for her training.
" I don't know how to teach someone, all I know I learned by myself, and only managed to become strong when I did intern with you." She was a little embarrassed to admit that, but she didn't have a teacher until she interned with Samantha.
"That's exactly why I want to ask you to train her, you know how hard it is to reach the level you are now." She then put a hand on her shoulder and smile."I know you would be a better teacher to her than me, our little duel prove that you won without your quirk. Besides, this will be good for you too, as a pro you will have sidekicks at some point."
Nagant then looks to Mei "You know what? I'm in. My patrols end at 17:30, I can come and train her until 21:00 before I go rest for the next day." She then looks to James. Would be possible to test something with her first?
"Sure, if it will help her become stronger." He then put Mei on the ground."Mei, since Izuku and Melissa are training with pro heroes, we think it would be good for you to do it too."
" Really? I can't wait to see their faces when I become the best sniper and inventor in the country." She got a wide smile on her face.
"Oh? So you want to be the best in both worlds? I like this girl already." Nagant smirk and then decide to see what she can do for now.
"We will give you two some privacy, I will go patrol now," Samantha said before kissing her daughter's cheek and went to work.
"Yeah, I will be in my workshop, if you two need something just call me." He then kisses his daughter's cheek too and went to work too.
After they left, Nagant decided to sit and talk with Mei they could know each other better, if she was going to have her first disciple, she must be sure that she feels comfortable.
"Tell me a little about you Mei? What do you like? Don't like it? Friends?" She made sure to look at the girl's eyes all the time.
"My quirk is zoom, I can zoom things until 400 meters, and my range has been increasing little by little thanks to my training. I like to build and repair things and I also like to play games with my friends, we have been playing Doom for a while. I didn't like to exercise or eat vegetables before, but greenie's father told me that I wouldn't be able to build anything if I was weak so I started training and now I like to do it. " She said all that while thinking about how much she changed since she met Izuku. She didn't even notice that she was smiling.
"Doom? The ps5 game?" Mei nods and Nagant smirk." You want to be a good sniper and build things right?" Mei nods again. " Then I will bring the perfect game for you." Mei's eyes shine at the mention of that.
"What game? come on tell me." She had a big smile on her face and Nagant thought it was cute.
"Okay, okay, is not only a game, is a series called Borderlands, but the third game also has more than one billion guns." She then sees Mei's jaw drop and laughed. "I don't want you to try to build all the guns in the series, but I want you to analyze the guns, inspiration comes from all the places. But enough chit-chat, we will start your training now, tell me what you trained until now?"
Mei then told her everything she did until now, and they decided that since she was used to using a bow, she would start with that. Putting a target far away from what she was used was a good start. She asked Mei to show her how she used a bow and she already saw some flaws.
"Mei!" The girl looks at her while keeping her posture preparing to shoot."You are doing this wrong." She then approaches the girl and grabs her arm."Straight back, head up, take a deep breath to help stabilize your aim, exhale and release." She then sees that she managed to hit the target with more precision, her training from before must have helped her, but she needs someone to teach her with their full attention.
"I did it, this is the first lesson and I am already improving? I can't wait to see what you will teach me Nagant sensei!" Kaina feels an arrow pierce her heart, this girl is too cute for this world and must be protected.
"All right my first disciple, when we aren't training I want you to workout so you can become able to use guns." She then looks at her arm and an idea came to her. "Mei, I want you to think about a gun, but not any gun, think about one that is exclusive for you." The girl then looks at her confused.
"What you mean?" Nagant then transforms both arms into rifles made from her own flesh and bones, to say Mei was surprised would be an understatement. "Whoah! I saw the videos on Herotube, but this is amazing."
"I can use guns like any normal person, but this is my signature. Snipe revolver is his signature gun, Your mother's signature is her assault rifle, etc." She then transforms her arms back to normal. " Since you want to be the best as a gunslinger and as an inventor, I want you to think about a weapon that can be your signature, sure you can use video games as a base, but make an original made by Mei Hatsume." She then got a wide smile on her face.
"Nagant sensei you are so cool!" She was impressed, she knew Kaina before and she was like a big sister to her, but to see her as a Lady Nagant and as a teacher is something else. "I will do my best, I will make sure that when you see my gun, you will be proud of it and I will make sure you are also proud of me as your disciple" She then showed her a confident smile on her face.
"Then let's get serious, I hope you are ready because I will be strict." She has to admit that Samantha was right, this would be good for her. They then went back to training and Mei's progress was better than Nagant could expect, the girl was a natural.
' Wait for me guys, I will show you all that I can be an amazing hero too' Mei thought while listening to Nagant's lessons.
Mitsuki Bakugo Workshop
Katsumi and Neito were on the ground breathing hard while in front of them were Best Jeanist.
"I have to say, I was expecting more!" Best Jeanist was a tall, slim man with an unnaturally long and flexible neck, as shown on several occasions, and dark, heavily-lashed eyes that appeared to tilt slightly inwards. He has rather long blond hair which he wears combed drastically to the left, covering his left eye.
His hero costume consists of a pair of jeans, a denim waistcoat with two large breast pockets, and a denim dress shirt with a very high collar that covers his face up to just below his nose. He wears two belts, one around his collar and one around his waist, and short dark brown boots with thick gray shafts and soles.
"W-We are not done yet, sir." Neito said while trying to get up, but it was clear that he was tired."Isn't that right Katsumi?" He then looks at his friend with a smirk on his face.
"Yeah! The real fight starts now!" She had a wide grin on her face while she was looking at the huge man in front of them.
Both kids were in their battle stance preparing to try again at least touch the pro hero.
"Well, let's see if you kids honor your words." He then gives a side look at Mitsuki and sees her smile. " Let's see if those kids are as good as you claim them to be Mitsuki."
Here we have chapter 10 with Mei training starts. Neito and Katsumi training with best jeanist? be prepared because the reason will be explained in the next chapter.
