Chapter 14 here and i am happy with the reviews I get, i hope you guys like to read as much as i like to write this fic.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELISSA!" Everyone cheers, they were all there to celebrate Melissa's birthday, even Nezu could be there this time. The kids were surprised to see the mysterious animal hybrid but they treated him with the respect he deserved.
"Thank you, everyone." The girl was happy for being able to spend another birthday with her friends. They were in Kendo's dojo, Isolte told everyone to do the party there so they had plenty of space and with the Kodai's help it was easy to move everything.
Jun Kodai was a man with 5,8 ft of height and an athletic build. His hair was grey and short, His eyes were a deep dark blue and he has an eternal grin on his face. He was the 15th hero know as Reaper. He could make objects he touches bigger or smaller, he usually used blades so he could fight, but he used them every time they needed to move something too big or too heavy.
Ai Kodai was a small woman with 5,2 ft of height and a slender body, she had grey eyes and long black hair, like her daughter, she also had a neutral face. She was the 12th pro hero Red Mist. She could make everything she touched dissipate in the air and mold in any form she wanted.
Inko and Hisashi worked in the kitchen the whole Friday so the cake and sweets were all ready for the next day. When Kaina tried to help, Hisashi joked "We are doing sweets for a birthday party, not biological weapons." Everyone laughed when he told the group, she was getting better at cooking, but still wasn't safe for humans to eat.
Hisashi loves to cook for everyone, something that made them joke about how he is a good wife to Inko. One rule that they couldn't break was that at every kid's party they wouldn't get drunk.
"She looks so happy!" David said with Toshinori and Hisashi by his side."I know I said that a lot, but each year she becomes more and more like her mother." His eyes were getting a little wet, but not from sadness, he was happy to see his daughter growing up so well. Her condition as quirkless always worried him since he knows what happens to them.
"You can say that as many times as you want, she will live in our hearts forever, Melissa and yours mainly." Hisashi said while looking to the kids."Someday she will be a woman that will make people smile and feel safe just by hearing her name." He said with a small smile on his face.
"You saw that too in your visions?" Toshinori asked, he and David looking to Hisashi.
"No! I just see that she have the same fire in her eyes that her parents." He then sees them looking at him with surprised expressions."You can see this too right David? You look to her and see a little girl with all the dreams of the world. Someday you will see a woman that made them true." He said looking at his friends.
"I guess I can understand what you mean. I think being a father really gives you a whole new perspective of things." Toshi said while looking at Hisashi.
"Damn it Hisashi! Don't get all emotional like that, you know how I get in those moments." He said smiling at his friend.
While they were talking between them, Inko was embarrassing Kazuya to his wife, telling her old stories of them Isolte told them that she would love to know more stories about her husband from when he was still a student, so Inko made sure to tell her at least one in each reunion.
"You should have seen that Isolte, Kazuya didn't know what to do and started smashing stones on his giant hands and throwing them with all his power. As Hisashi got closer, he got in a panic and started throwing faster." Inko then starts acting like she was doing the exact move. "Fist Artillery," She said while everyone laughed, Kazuya was red from embarrassment.
"You told me you thought of that move while training dear, but you didn't tell me the whole truth." She laughed poking his cheek. "It's adorable that you try so much to act like a tough guy when you are actually like a big teddy bear." Now everyone was laughing at him.
"You guys should have seen his fights against Inko, each fight was funnier than the one before." Masaru said looking to Isolte.
"Oh? Please tell me more."She said with a smirk while looking at her husband.
"One time he was fighting her and the teacher was talking to the class about how they should work on different combat styles, while he explained, their fight got more intense." He then sees that even Inko was embarrassed about what he was about to say.
"They started fighting with so much intensity that the teacher tried to stop them, only to be punched in the face by Kazuya and kicked in the balls by Inko." Everyone was laughing louder now about both of the adults.
"I remember having to suspend both for a week because of that," Nezu said while laughing at them.
"I-It's not our fault that he got in the way." Inko said embarrassed and Kazuya agreed with her.
"Yeah, I was about to wipe the floor with Inko." He then smirks when he sees that Inko was looking at him like she was about to start a fight again.
"Care to repeat that? I won last time if you forgot." The tension was so big that they could see the sparks.
"We are here today to celebrate Melissa's birthday, if you guys want to fight, you can do it tomorrow," Samantha said while drinking her grape soda.
"Yeah guys, at least give us a rest for today," James said while eating some cupcakes.
"You guys sure a fun to be around, isn't that right dear?" Jun said while looking at his wife.
"They sure are, If they are like this as adults, imagine them as kids." She gave a small smile.
"You wouldn't believe how many times Hisashi hurt himself trying to impress Inko," Mitsuki said while laughing at the memories.
While they talked Izuku was telling his friend of the new game he was playing. Hisashi made sure the kids could play together when they weren't able to be together so he made some calls and managed to get each of them their own console.
"Seriously guys, Village is so cool. The four lords are cool and scary." He then looks to Yui. "Donna Beneviento remember me of Yui." They then look at her.
"Hm?" She tilts her head to the side a little while looking at him. 'How so?' Her eyes said.
"Because she doesn't talk much, not that is a bad thing, you are a good listener Yui. She is the scariest of the lords until now. Her part is scary, I will let you guys play to see the reason." He is excited to let them play the game.
"Now I want to play. By the way, glasses, that mini computer you and cross eyes made for us helps a lot in the training, I can coordinate with copycat without Tsunagu sensei notice." Katsumi smiled while looking at her friends.
"I am glad you guys like it so much, we worked hard to make sure they wouldn't explode." Melissa was smiling but they just gave nervous chuckles, if Mei was involved in a project they had to worry about things exploding often.
"Nothing has exploded in a week, which is a record, so stop complaining about it." Mei said with a little pout on her face."I still have to work on my personal weapon, I will use some things for the exam at UA, but I want this project to be special." She then looks at Kaina laughing at Tsunagu's red face. "I want to make my parents and Kaina sis proud." Her friends look at her smile and they think it's cute the way she looks with so much admiration to Kaina.
"I know what you mean Mei, I want to make my parents and Tsunagu sensei proud too. He gave me a whole new view about my quirk that I don't want to let him down." He then looks at Katsumi. "You are the same, right popcorn girl?" They smirk at each other.
"Right, we will show him that he made the right choice by believing in us! My parents will see me becoming the number one after I kick your butt copycat" They laugh, knowing Tsunagu would be proud of them when they became heroes.
"Kazuya sensei made me strong enough to be able to fight people with mutation quirks, I know I can't win against you guys when you use your quirks, but with my gadgets, it will be a fair fight. My father is teaching me a lot too." Melissa wouldn't lie to herself, she knew that without a quirk she wouldn't win against people like Izuku, but she wouldn't give up.
"My father told me many times of how proud he is that you didn't give up, and I am too." Itsuka put her hand on Melissa's shoulder and smiled at her."You guys are learning a lot faster than he expected. I want to make my parents proud of me so I will become a great hero." Her smile was full of determination.
"My parents are heroes too so I want to make them proud of the hero I will become. Kazuya sensei helps me not only with martial arts but with my quirk too. He knows I could use legends to win many fights, but he wants me to know that power is useless without discipline." He looks to his sensei laughing at Mitsuki.
"Hum!" Yui's noise made everyone look at her. 'I will do my best too, I want to make my parents proud too!' She said while looking at her parents talking with Toshinori.
"As always, doll face has the best speech." Everyone laughs while eating cake and Yui just shake her head, she was used to the teases, but she loved her friends, even if she wouldn't say it loud.
It was night, the party went great and Melissa got a lot of presents from her friends, she was now sitting with her friends while the adults look at them. All might decide that this was the best moment to speak with her, so he called Hisashi, Mirai, Nezu, and David and they understood that it was time.
"Young Melissa, please come with us for a moment," Toshi said and the other adults were surprised about why they need her to follow them.
"Sure uncle Might." She then follows them and they turn the corner and went to the yard behind the dojo, she was confused about why they called her.'Maybe is another present?' She thought while following them.
He then looks to Hisashi one last time, like he was waiting for him to say something, but he just smiled and nods at him.
"Melissa, I want to tell you something." He then looks to David and sees him nod to him. "I want to give you my quirk!" He sees her eyes get wider and her mouth open and close but she didn't make a sound.
"Wh-What you mean? Give me your quirk? Quirks can't be passed, can they?" She looks to her father expecting an answer.
"This quirk can be passed, I was quirkless in the past, but my master passed the quirk to me so I could fight a big threat to the world. This quirk is called One for All!" He then sees the shock on Melissa's face, he knew it was too much to the little girl."I will explain everything to you."
He then told her about the story of One for All versus All for One, about how strong he is and how he almost died many times in the past. How the quirk gets stronger each time is passed and is dangerous her life would become and the weight that would be on her shoulders.
"W-Why me? Izuku have a powerful quirk, wouldn't be better to pass to him?" She asked still confused.
"Because if someone besides you receive this quirk they will die the moment they receive the quirk." Hisashi answer in a serious tone. "This quirk must be passed for a quirkless person because the power is too strong." He said looking into her eyes.
"I told Toshi that he should pass his quirk to you when Izuku got his quirk six years ago. That's the reason we wanted you to train here, so your body could be able to hold the power." She then looks to Hisashi confused about why he would tell her that she should be the one to receive such power.
"Who knows about this? The quirk? All for One? That you were quirkless?" She asked looking at Toshinori.
"Besides us, just two more know about it," David answer his daughter. "Only those Toshi trust the most, know about it." He knows this was too much for her, so he was explaining every detail to her.
"So only those that I trust with my life can know about this?" She sees them nods and then lowers her head a little thinking.
"Indeed, I had friends to help me in my journey, without them I wouldn't be here today." He knows what she is thinking right now.
"I-If I will receive this power, I want my friends to know the whole truth! Not only about the quirk, but about everything." She looks to Toshinori with determination in her eyes.
"I knew you would say that, but at least let me pass the quirk for you first, then we can talk about it." He looks at her and she nods to him.
"How you pass this power?" She then sees him take a single hair and hold it in front of her face.
"Eat this!" They then see her freeze at the place. The adults couldn't hold their laughs.
"Well, you need to consume something with his DNA, and this is the less weird way to do this." Hisashi was laughing at the girl's reaction.
"C-Can I at least put it in a slice of cake? Or with some soda?" She asked and they laughed louder.
"Sure you can, that's why I got this." Mirai gave her a slice of cake. "Just make sure to eat the hair too." He laughs a little at her reaction.
"After I eat, will I become a huge woman full of muscles?" She put the hair on the cake and look at Toshinori, the adults couldn't stop laughing.
"No, you will need some time to digest the hair, then you will become able to use the quirk." Toshinori knew it wasn't easy, but at least she wasn't dealing with the jokes his master did when she was passing the quirk to him.
"O-Okay, here I go!" She then eats the hair with the cake and they could see that she was forcing herself to eat."So, it worked?" She asked looking at them.
"Now we just wait, don't try to use the quirk until tomorrow," Toshinori said while looking to Hisashi as if asking what to do now.
"Toshi, we have known them for years now and they have proved that they are trustworthy, I think we should tell them." He ten see the other adults look at him shocked, while Toshinori just smiled.
"Sure! If you tell them the truth about you too." He knew that this wasn't something simple to Hisashi, but he wanted them to trust fully in each other, and if Hisashi told them about his true powers then this was a sign of trust.
"I agree, is not fair that you are the only one with secrets Hisashi," Nezu said knowing well that even his secrets weren't safe from Hisashi.
"They are right, no more secrets Hisashi," Mirai said while looking at the man
"Okay then, let's tell them. This sure will be interesting." Hisashi said and they went back to the group.
After they came back, everyone thought it was weird why Hisashi had a smirk on his face while the other adults look tense.
"What took so long dear?" Inko asked while looking at her husband.
"Everyone please get comfortable, because it's time for a story." Hisashi said with his smile going wider. He then pulls Inko to his side and puts his hand on her waist, when she looks at him with a little red on her cheeks she sees that even with a smile on his face he was still tense.
Everyone that didn't know about Hisashi's true quirk was shocked by the news. He even used Emiya's Noble Phantasm and Gilgamesh's Gates of Babylon to prove it. When Izuku saw Gilgamesh's power, he was excited to master his legend. Isolte was the first to break the silence.
"You are telling me that you are strong enough to win against All Might." Hisashi nods and she looks to Toshinori and he confirms."And that you could do it without even breathing hard?" Again he nods.
"I admit that I always thought it was weird that your son had such powerful quirk and you guys didn't show anything like that," Jun said with his grin still on his face. "Why tell us now? I am flattered, but I don't see why now?" He was curious about the reason.
"Because I trust you guys and there's one more story you guys need to hear!" He then looks to Toshinori. "Your turn Toshi." If Hisashi's story made shocked them, All might story was worse.
He explained his quirk story, how strong All for one was, how he passed his quirk to Melissa.
"Thank you for trusting us with your secrets," Kaina said while looking at them.
"I guess it was a good idea that we didn't drink anything today, I really need to be sober to deal with this," Tsunagu said while looking to All might.
"I agree, I would probably forget this tomorrow if I was drunk, or think it was all a dream." Mitsuki was shocked by the news.
"So glasses will be as strong as you?" Katsumi said while looking at Melissa.
"No! She will be even stronger," Hisashi said and everyone then looks to the girl.
Izuku then walk to Melissa, Itsuka, Yui, Neito, Mei and Katsumi behind him. The adults look with interest to the kids.
"Melissa, thank you!" Izuku said and all the kids smile at her.
"Huh? About what?" She was confused.
"For trusting us this, girl you could have kept secret and just say that you were a late bloomer or something." Mei said while smiling at her rival.
"I thought the tools I gave to you were a cool present and All Might gave you a quirk? Not fair, how can we compete with that? Next year my present will be the best." Neito said while pouting a little. and the adults found the scene cute.
"We must train even harder now, if she will be stronger than All Might then we must double our training." Katsumi was excited to fight her now more than ever.
"Your training will be harder now, I already knew you would be strong with your gadgets, now I want to see how strong you will be with a quirk." Itsuka said while looking at her friend.
"Hum!" Yui as always just hummed.' Let's do our best!' Her eyes sent the message.
"I guess the kids are more mature than we thought," Hisashi said while smiling.
"I figured out!" Mitsuki said making everyone look at her.
"What Mitsuki?" James looks at her confused.
"The reason Toshi is an eternal single, he can't date anyone or else he could "Pass" the quirk by accident." there was silence for a second, everyone then laughs loud and Toshinori gets embarrassed.
"That explains a lot," Kaina said laughing.
"I-I can only transfer the quirk if I want, if I don't want the person to receive then it won't work." He said that and they laughed at the symbol of peace being embarrassed.
"So, how this quirk works? She will just punch the air and people will fly away?" Tsunagu said while looking at the man.
"Actually is pretty simple, she clenches her buttcheeks and screams smash, this is the only thing she will train." He said and they hear Hisashi pumping a shotgun.
"Step back everyone I gonna shoot him!" David then put his hand on Hisashi's shoulder and take the gun.
"No! Stand down! I will kill him myself." David then aims at his face. "Are you really telling me that all you will do to train my daughter is that?" They see that he was serious.
"Sorry but that is how it works for me." He then sees David low his gun and aim for his crotch.
"Toshi I swear that I will shoot in your balls if you don't stop this." Everyone looks at Mirai and sees him smiling, they knew David wouldn't shoot him, but it was funny to watch.
"I swear he is the symbol of the idiots." Nezu facepalms while everyone laughs.
"I will think about something since he won't be much help. David shoot him." All might didn't have time to react when David pulls the trigger and he sees a flag with a bang write on it.
"Hahahaha, I can't believe you thought we were going to shoot you." David laughed at his friend. "And you didn't even try to dodge." Everyone was laughing at the fear on his face.
"I was scared of losing small might." They laughed louder.
"Small might? Are you serious?" Samantha was holding her stomach while laughing.
After some more fun, they cleaned everything and went home. Melissa would go to Hisashi so he could help her use One for All, it was clear that Toshinori wouldn't be much help.
'Those kids accepted the news better than I expected. They really are more mature than we thought.' He smiles excitedly about tomorrow.
Melissa finally receive one for all and Toshi is useless to explain how she can use the quirk, next chapter we will see how the other adults will help her with the quirk.
The reason Toshinori and Hisashi told them about their quirks is that they trust them, they have formed a bond and they became a big family.
