"So? How I use your quirk uncle Might?" Melissa asked while everyone just watched from the side. "There's some condition for me to use like Izuku legends?"
After telling them about One for All and Hisashi's true powers, they decided that it was better if they were there to help with Melissa's training since Toshinori was useless as a teacher.
"W-W-Well young Melissa...You see..." He turns his head a little to see Hisashi looking at him with judging eyes and cross arms. "As I said yesterday, I only know that way to use the quirk, so that is the only advice I can give to you. Clench your buttcheeks and scream smash!" He then sees golden portals with numerous weapons appear behind Hisashi and he starts sweating a lot.
"Toshi, if you are not going to help then let me handle this." His tone was serious and not even the other pros would go against him now that they knew what he could do.
"Sorry, but that is how it worked for me. I can't tell more because I could use the power at 100% since the beginning." He said with his head low and a small frown.
"Then I will help her." Hisashi then closes the portals and walks until he was in front of Melissa, he then gets on his knees and puts a hand on her head, and starts muttering an enchantment. "I see, your body may withstand 5% now, but since it will be the first time you will use it your body won't be able to hold back and you will hurt yourself, probably break your arm or worse." He heard gasps and David gave him a look of barely contained anger.
"I have an idea." He then summons a golem with her appearance from the floor and draws a glyph on his chest and another on Melissa's forehead."This glyph will allow you to use the quirk, but any damage you would receive will be transferred to the golem instead." He then turns to everyone and sees them shocked."What?"
"If you could do that, why the hell you didn't use it to help other heroes? Do you have any idea of how many times I almost died?" Isolte said while she was being held by Kazuya that was trying himself to not help his wife kill Hisashi.
"I just told you guys about my true quirk yesterday, I have my reasons to keep my true powers a secret. Every legend has a cost for their powers, I can only use this on one person a day so while she is training this quirk I will use it on her." He then sees them thinking about his reasons to hide it. "It took me six years to trust you guys to know about my true quirk, but not even Toshi or Nezu know what I can do when I go all out, only Inko know that and believe me, you guys don't want to see me when I get serious." He then sees that the kids got a little scared of his tone.
"Sorry Hisashi, We don't know what you had to deal with in the past. We were just thinking about how convenient would be, but not the cost." Tsunagu was the first to admit that if he did hide his quirk until now, he must have a good reason.
"Let's just forget about it and go back to training Melissa." He then turns his head to the girl and sees her flinch. "Melissa, I want you to punch this training dummy, take a deep breath, try to imagine you are channeling all your strength in your hand, and attack." He then looks to Toshinori."Scream smash just so Toshi stops pouting like a child." he sees her get in her stance and do what he said.
"Smash!" She punches the dummy, but he only moved as it would with her regular training."Didn't work, did I do something wrong?" she turns to see Hisashi looking at her and smiling.
"No, you did everything right, I guess the problem is that the quirk needs something to activate." He put a hand on his chin and start thinking about what to do.
"Did she clench her buttcheeks?" Katsumi said laughing while the adults chuckled a little and the other kids tried to hold their laughs, Melissa pouted at that.
"Toshi, how did your master use the quirk before she passed to you?" Nezu asked while sipping his tea.
"Now that I think about it, she didn't scream smash to use the quirk, she just attacked and the villains went down." He then starts thinking about the moments he saw Nana fight and how strong she was.
" Maybe each user activates the quirk differently?" Masaru was curious about past users of the quirk.
"I don't know about the previous holders, but I can try finding something." He then got an idea of how to help Melissa. "Maybe I could call Gran Torino to help train her, he was the one that trained me after all," he said putting his fist in his open palm.
"Good idea, I still have his number since he was a teacher at UA for some time to help you train." Nezu was curious if the retired hero would help.
"No!" Everyone then look at Hisashi and they can see the pure rage in his eyes, he was shaking too with so much anger.
"W-What do you mean? If there's someone that can help Melissa shouldn't we call them?" James never saw Hisashi this angry before, and he didn't like to see his friend like that.
"Yeah Hisashi, any help is welcome." Ren was looking at him and felt himself freeze at his gaze.
"If that guy gets out of whatever hole he is hiding. !" His tone and his eyes weren't calm and happy as they usually saw, those are the eyes they saw in many villains before they killed someone.
"Can you explain why you are so against calling him? Maybe if you tell us, we can understand your reason." Jun may know him less than the others, at least outside work, but even against villains he never saw him so angry.
"Kids, please give us some privacy." He then sees the kids walking away from there, all of them looking to Hisashi with worry in their eyes.
"Okay Hisashi, what happened between you and Gran Torino that makes you so against calling him?" Toshinori asked while looking at every movement of Hisashi.
"That fucker is the reason so many people will die!" He sees them looking at him with wide eyes and open mouths, they weren't expecting that. "If I see him I will kill him and I will be sure that it hurts."
"What do you mean? Explain to us and please don't spare details." Mirai knew Toshinori would die in a few years, but he wanted to prevent that future.
"Toshinori knows only his master as a hero, but the truth is, Nana Shimura had a son. No, I won't say who is the father." He then looks to Nezu. "She was doing the same as us, being a hero and a mother, she wasn't good at anything in the house as cleaning or cooking, but she tried her best."
He knows the hard part comes now, he has to say everything or they wouldn't believe in him.
"One day, Gran Torino told her that she has to abandon her son, act like she never had one, and break every bond she had with anyone, even the love of her life and her child. All so she could focus on defeating All for one." He sees the shock on their faces, including Toshinori.
"Son? She had a son? Who is it? We must go protect him, if All for one discover, then he will kill him." Toshinori wanted to go protect his master kid at all costs.
"Let him finish Toshi!" Tsunagu said while looking at the symbol of peace.
"The kid grows up hating heroes, everything that was related to heroes he hated. He became a man, married, and had two kids. A boy and a girl." He then takes a deep breath and looks Toshinori in the eyes. "He abused his family, every time his kids said anything good about a hero he punched the kids in the face and locked them outside the house until they apologized." He sees Inko holding back some tears, disgust, and sadness were on everyone's faces.
"How cruel, abusing a child just because they talked about heroes?" Samantha couldn't even imagine doing something like this to a child.
"This can't be, he is my master son, he should value heroes more than anyone," Toshinori said shocked by what he heard.
"He was abandoned by his mother, not that he is an excuse, but his hate has a reason. And looking to Hisashi, I can't find a good reason to just leave your son and move on with life." Kaina knew the bad side of the hero society, but even she finds it hard to sympathize with Nana or her son.
"One day he went too far, which caused his son quirk to finally manifest." He then looks to Nezu. "His son killed the family dog by accident since he was locked outside for seeing a photo of Nana." He then looks to everyone.
"What was the quirk?" Ai asked trying to keep her neutral face even with such a sad story.
"Decay, if he touches anything with five fingers it will turn into dust, destroying completely." He sees them worried, such a quirk was indeed powerful and dangerous if it was in the wrong hands.
"What happened next?" Nezu asked worried about what he was hearing.
"His sister came to talk with him and saw the dog dead, he was in panic and accidentally touched her too, killing her." He sees the sadness in their eyes and they knew this was not the end." After that, his mother and grandparents came to try to help him since they thought it was a villain attacking. His quirk was out of control and he ends up killing them too." Even he was starting to get sad by the story.
"Nana's son came and saw his child out of control, but instead of helping the kid. He attacked him hitting his face again, the kid then decided he had enough, and with all intention to kill he went to his father and killed him while laughing." He sees Toshinori's face of pure sadness and anger, the symbol of peace only had this expression once before and it was when Nana died.
"How? How you know all that Hisashi?" Toshinori asked and everyone looked to Hisashi wondering that too.
"Before I answer that let me finish, there's one thing I still need to tell you guys." He said and they nod to him."The child walked on the streets for some time and no one helped him, not even heroes offered a hand for him. After some time, the kid was found by All for One and now he is with him and they WILL destroy the hero society, we can't prevent that."
"You helped me avoid a horrible fate when you helped me. How do you know all those details? Why this is different?" Kaina asked worried about what the future would be.
"I know all that because of Sherlock Holmes legend. I can see everything from the past of a place, person, and object. Do you think hearing is bad? I saw every detail." He then looks to Kaina. "This is different because is not like your fate, where you choose to go back. Gran Torino made her abandon her son, he is the reason All for one escaped so many times, he didn't even think for a second to check the kid after she died." His voice was getting angrier.
"He didn't know Hisashi, he made what he thought it was the ri-"Toshi started.
"Don't you dare finish that sentence! I was chased like an animal by villains and governments of the world, and I haven't abandoned my family in a single day. One day he told me the same thing when Inko was pregnant."He was getting angrier each time he talked.
"Wh-What? He told you to leave us?" Inko asked not believing what she heard.
"He said you were a burden, that a hero duty is with the people and that just leaving you would allow me to be the best hero I could, he must have known about my quirk some way. He even leaked information about me to the hero association." He saw his wife's tears, he walked to her and hugged her.
"That is not fair, telling people to just forget their families? Who is the villain here?" James couldn't even think about leaving his family for even a day.
"He will try to kill the boy in the future and will only say. 'Your grandmother would be disappointed. Stop stomping on her memory!' I will say this just one more time. If I see Gran Torino, I will kill him." He looks to Toshinori as if daring him to oppose.
"You think you can help Melissa with the quirk?" David asked while looking at Hisashi. "Can you look me in the eyes and say that you can help her without him?" He approaches Hisashi and looks him in the eyes.
"Yes, I can. By the end of the day, she will be able to use the quirk." He looks to David and that was a promise from a father to another.
"Then I will trust you with that." David looks to Toshinori and sees him nod.
"You said that because of him many people will die. Can you explain that?" Kazuya asked in a serious tone.
Now everyone was looking to Hisashi expecting an explanation.
"I couldn't see all the details, the only thing I could see was the kids fighting a large group of enemies, but there were many corpses there." He then looks to Toshinori."Civilians and heroes will die without even knowing what happened, You Toshi will be one of them. They will free ALL the prisoners in the country, heroes will give up, the civilians will start attacking heroes and defend themselves against the villains. It will be chaos!"
"My master grandson will kill me?" He asked and Hisashi nods."You said Gran Torino would be there too, that means you want to kill him to avoid this fate?"
"No, killing him won't avoid that, but there's a way to prevent that." He said with his arms crossed and Toshi could see that Hisashi only wanted Gran Torino dead.
"What can we do? We must avoid this at any cost!" Mitsuki said ready to do anything.
"We are already doing it, Kaina should have been sent to prison months after meeting us, she would later join All for one and would be send to kill Melissa and Izuku, but our kids would be able to defeat her and All for one would explode her." He said revealing for the first time all the details about her future.
"Helping me prevented this fate, that's why you wanted to protect m so much?" Kaina was grateful for his help and she knew she is only free because of him.
"Endeavor family would be another reason, he would make his oldest son become a villain that would kill a lot of people only to later try to kill him and his youngest son! He would reveal all the abuses to the world and make people hate heroes even more." He knew he was changing the future a lot by doing all that.
"That explains his change of attitude, you must have told him all the details!" Mitsuki only saw him a couple of times, but even she could see the change.
"I tried to find the kid, but All for one is smart enough to not leave behind anything that could help." He was getting annoyed because he couldn't find the boy."Anyway, we already lost time talking here and I still need to help Melissa." He then went to call the kids.
Melissa got in front of the dummy again and waited for Hisashi to tell her what to do.
"Toshi said he could use the quirk easily on the first try, I thought of a way to help you use it." Hisashi then looks to David."David, please come here." The man then walks to him curious about what he would do to help his daughter.
"Melissa, you want to be strong enough to protect your father and friends right?" He asked smiling and see her nodding."Clear your mind, don't think about attacking your enemy, think about protecting your father." He then sees her look to her father and got into her stance.
She closes her eyes and takes deep breaths, she was starting to imagine herself protecting him in a serious fight.
"Good! Now I want you to imagine this quirk like a river, try to imagine the energy flowing in your body." He sees her closing her eyes and gets a frown on her face."Don't take it too seriously, relax, clear your mind, let the power flow smoothly." They then see some glowing red lines on her body and little white lightings.
David was about to praise his daughter but Hisashi raised his hand to stop him.
"Now Melissa, I want you to keep your eyes closed and punch forward." She then did as instructed and the training dummy flew to the other side of the dojo and broke when it hit the wall. She then opens her eyes and sees the red lines and lighting fading.
"I-I-I did it? I DID IT!" She was happy and then she looked at her father, only to see the shock on his face, but he wasn't looking at her. She follows his eyes and sees that he was looking at the golem, He lost his whole arm."The arm, the arm is gone?" She was shocked.
"That's why I told your guys that this was necessary, she would have lost her arm if I haven't made that." He then looks to Melissa. "You were able to use the quirk without a problem now, you just need to be able to control the flow of the power." He said smirking.
"I wasn't expecting to be so dangerous, but this is progress." Nezu knew the quirk was strong but not that dangerous for the user.
"I know that was a simple training dummy, but I wouldn't want to receive that punch," Ai said with a neutral tone.
"Now that you were able to use the quirk, I want you to try to adjust the amount of strength you will use." He then repaired the golem and told her to do it again.
They went like that the whole day, taking breaks every hour so she could rest a little. She was becoming better, after some hours she was able to reduce the amount of power she was using.
it was night when Melissa was finally able to use the power, She was having good progress with Hisashi help, which only made his shit-eating grin annoy Toshinori even more, The symbol of peace was pouting like a child first, then he decided that two could play this game and decided to train with the other kids.
The other adults watched as the two strongest heroes in the world acted like children.
"Your progress is really good Melissa, you can use it now, but let's keep using the glyph to be sure you are safe," Hisashi said full of pride in her.
"Honestly? I was expecting at least a month before she could use the quirk." Mirai said while drinking his soda.
"I guess Hisashi is just a good teacher!" Samantha knew the guy could work as a teacher without a problem, after all, he helped everyone when they were younger.
"I am considering hire Hisashi to work as a teacher, but that would be a problem if he had to use his quirk in front of the students." Nezu was already thinking of ways to convince him to become a teacher.
"As a teacher, he probably would have less free time so I think he would refuse just so he wouldn't lose time with his family, I saw him rejecting operations that would require him to be away for a week because he didn't want to leave them." Tsunagu now knows how strong Hisashi is and that he wouldn't leave his family unprotected.
The training went well and Melissa was getting good at using the quirk, She still had a long way before she could use the power without causing damage to herself.
"Okay, that's enough for today. Let's all go home and rest. Melissa, I will be helping you every day after I leave work, I believe you will be able to use the quirk at 100% without any problem in a year or two." He then sees her face get a little sad, he went to her and put his hand on her head.
"Don't worry kid, you will have all the help you need. Just keep working hard and you will see the results." He sees a little smile on her face and she nods to him.
They went home and even when she was about to sleep, Melissa couldn't stop herself from smiling, she was training to become a hero with uncle Might quirk, she would do everything she could to live up to the expectations everyone had on her.
'Everyone is so nice, they accepted me even as a quirkless, they always motivate me to break my limits. I will double my training and become strong enough to protect everyone.'
That was her last thought before she sleeps, dreaming about how lucky she was to be part of that big family.
I hate the decision gran torino and Nana made? Yes! That shit about "I did to protect you" never works, any idiot know that if you use that as a reason, then you already lost. Next time we will see a little more of their training and school life.
