I am here again, Shoto will do the recommendation exam and some new friends appear, and what is the secret of the Yaoyorozu family? Funny that some people read my Izuku x Nejire fic, like that fic, and then come read this one and like too. You guys are awesome, be ready for the next chapter since it will be the start of the UA year. Enjoy the chapter!
"Thanks for coming with me guys, I am glad to know I have your support!" Shoto was getting his backpack and preparing to enter UA to do his exam, recommendation students didn't have written exams so he was already on his training clothes.
"Sure half-half, you were there for us, so we will be there for you too." Katsumi said giving the thumbs up for him.
"I think your exam will be short since you will only do the practical exam." Neito was checking some places where they could go after the exam.
"Do something epic so we can have good stories later, we are waiting for you to do the exam so we can watch the videos." Melissa was excited to see how everyone did in the exam.
They all agreed that wouldn't say more of what they did until Shoto have done his exam, they are excited about watching the fights.
"Let me give you a tip, use fire first, then use ice. . ! !" Mei said making sure to put strength on each word.
"She is right, I don't know why, but I feel like you would do that against a metal enemy at some point." Itsuka said with a hand on her chin thinking.
"Honestly, I think I would!" Shoto admitted a little embarrassed.
"Just make sure to do what she told you if the test is against robots." Yui said while patting his back.
"Now go before is late, we will be here waiting for you." Izuku said after parking the car.
"Okay, see you guys soon." He then starts walking to the main building.
"GOOD LUCK HALF-HALF!" Katsumi yelled and the others laughed a little but said good luck too.
They decided to just fool around playing UNO while they waited, a Bad Idea to do that with the queen of games there.
Shoto walked excitedly to see what test he would do.
'I can't wait to tell them the amazing things that happened on the exam!' Shoto was with a small smile on his face and walked together with the other students.
The UA staff was guiding them to a track field and he was wondering the reason.
He saw Present Mic there looking at the students, there were no more than 20 students there.
'I guess the recommendation students are more limited to even be considered.' He thought while looking around the others.
"All right dear listeners! Your test is simple, you will just have to run around this track field. the 4 that reach the finishing line first pass the exam." Present Mic said that as if it was the most epic test in the world, but maybe is just how charismatic he was.
"The rules are simple, you can use your quirk, but you can't leave the path." He explained excitedly, but Shoto was screaming internally.
'I can't believe that, the others fight giant robots and I have to race?' His smile was gone and the excitement too.
"You have 5 minutes to prepare." He said and went to sit on a chair beside the line.
Shoto just went to his mark and waited, he then sees other participants preparing for the exam, 4 people got his attention.
There was a very tall and well-built young man with buzzed, dark brown hair and black eyes. He was making small tornados on his hands, he got a serious expression on his face in concentration.
Another that got his attention is a pale-skinned young man with angular eyes, mid-length spiked hair of beige color, a flat nose, and small eyebrows. His most unusual feature is his teeth, which sit on the outside of his skin. He has no discernible lips, giving him a skull-like appearance. He was doing stretching and wave to Shoto when got him looking.
Another participant that was already on the mark is a young girl of average height who has surprisingly large, upturned dusky green eyes with long lower eyelashes, and notably long and pointed teeth. Her hair is a dark moss green, collectively reaching just below her shoulders aside from a short clump that hangs in the center of her forehead, and it grows wavier and thinner the lower down it gets. She was just there smiling, when she got Shoto's stare she just winked at him.
The last person that was on the mark is a tall girl with a rather mature physique. She has long black hair that is tied into a spiky ponytail with a large strand hanging on the right side of her face. Her eyes are thin and sharp, dark in color, and paired with short eyebrows set in a determined expression. Shoto was surprised to see her with a motorcycle.
'Itsuka would love to see this.' He thought with a small smile on his face. 'Even when we are separated all of us only think about each other.'
"ARE YOU READY?" Present Mic yelled from his chair. "ON YOUR MARKS!"
All the students got in position and Shoto already got a plan for how to do this test.
'Katsumi will tease me forever for this.' Even if he knew they would joke about it, he couldn't help but smile.
"GO!" Present Mic yell and they start the race.
The girl with the motorcycle went fast and was ahead of everyone, Shoto then notices the upper half of the girl with green hair grabbing the seat of the motorcycle.
The boy that was making tornados was flying behind them at fast speed, he made small tornados on his feet and was going well, but he doesn't see as he can control so well.
The boy without lips was made the ground become kind of quicksand, but the interesting thing is how fast he was moving.
Shoto was using his ice to make a path where he was skating on his track. 'I look like Frozone from The Incredibles.' He can already imagine the jokes he will hear, he then decides to use his fire quirk to boost his speed. He put his left hand and behind him and launch fire on the ice behind him making a mist and boosting himself forward.
When Shoto passes the girl on the motorcycle he sees that his mist made her unable to see, the guy without lips passes her and she slips on the softened ground making her lose balance.
She jumps from the motorcycle just in time to not hurt herself and pulled a scooter from her belly. The guy making tornados was unable to avoid the motorcycle and went face first on it, luckily he only hit the seat.
"Thanks for the ride girl, see ya." The upper half of the girl pass her flying and the guy without lips was just behind Shoto.
'Ops!' Shoto thinks while turning to the finishing line.
He passes the finish line and then the boy without lips passes second, the upper half of the girl passes third and the girl with ponytail pass fourth.
"HERE WE HAVE THE WINNERS!" Mic yells and gives them the thumbs up. "Now dear listeners, you passed the exam and I have to say that it was exciting to see."
Shoto then looks at the other participants and sees the tornado guy and ponytail girl looking at him with anger.
'I will talk with him later, she passed so she shouldn't be that angry.' He wasn't sure if she was angry for not being first, so he may talk with her if he sees the chance.
"You four will receive everything to start here next month, I welcome you to UA." He bows in respect and went to talk with the guy.
"Hey, sorry about that! I didn't think it would make that mess." Shoto bows a little and when he looked up he notices a surprised expression on the guy's face.
"Y-You are the son of Endeavour right?" He asks pointing a finger at him.
"Yeah, I am Shoto Todoroki." He said offering his hand.
"Inasa Yoarashi, I can't even be angry for losing if you are this cool!" He shakes his hand and smiles at him. "I guess I will go to Shiketsu, Hey let's exchange numbers, I would like to talk more with you later."
"Sure, you should meet my friends, they are cooler." He exchanged numbers with him and they see the other that passed coming in their direction, except for the girl with a ponytail.
"Sup guys! If we are exchanging numbers then don't leave me out." The girl with green hair gave a toothy grin. "Name's Setsuna Tokage."
"Juzo Honenuki, a pleasure to meet you." He offers his hands and they shake while smiling at him.
"Shoto Todoroki!" He said while shaking Juzo's hand.
"Inasa Yoarashi!" He said exchanging numbers with the girl.
"Wait! Todoroki? The son of Endeavor and Blizzard?" Setsuna asked and saw him nodding. "Damn boy, no wonder you are this strong."
"You guys should come with me, my friends are waiting and I am sure you guys will like them. They are strong enough to win against my parents and All Might when we are training together." Shoto then sees the girl with ponytail passing them and she gave him one last look of anger.
"She needs to calm her tits, the big guy here lost and he isn't acting all angry." Setsuna said while patting Inasa's shoulder.
"Let's meet your friends, it will be a good opportunity to improve our social circle." Juzo said with a calm expression.
They walk a little and when they reach the cafe his friends were in, they hear a loud explosion and a scream.
"FOR FUCK SAKE, HOW ALL OF YOU DECIDED TO USE A +4 ON ME?" Katsumi couldn't believe her friends would do something like that.
"Stop complaining and just buy 16 cards." Yui said with a small smile.
Itsuka then sees Shoto coming with some people.
"Hey, Shoto! How it was?" She asked smiling at him.
"It wasn't as cool as you guys since it was just a race, but I made some friends." He then points to each of them. "Inasa Yoarashi, Juzo Honenuki, and Setsuna Tokage." Each of them waved when Shoto said their names.
"Half-half can make friends by himself? Now that is a surprise." Katsumi teased him while getting the cards.
"The rabid animal you guys probably heard screaming is Katsumi Bakugo." Nieto said and laughed at the angry look on Katsumi's face. "I am Neito Monoma." He waved to them.
"Mei Hatsume." Mei said smiling.
"Melissa Shield, nice to meet you!" She said offering her hand, which they took.
"Itsuka Kendo." She offered her hand too.
"Izuku Midoriya, I hope we can be friends too." He said with a bright smile on his face. He then feels something pulling his sleeve and see that it was Yui, he understood that she was a little nervous. "This is Yui Kodai."
They didn't understand why she didn't talk but decided to let it go.
"Wait! Midoriya? Kendo? Shield? And Kodai?" Setsuna asked pointing at each of them and saw them nodding. "Didn't you guys won the school's martial arts tournament in the last nine years?"
"Yeah, that's us." Melissa said a little embarrassed.
"Some of my friends that are in the Karate club said that there's a guy that fights like a pro. Must be you Midoriya." Inasa asked while pointing at Izuku.
"In the masculine category, Izuku is the best of our dojo. But he never wins against me in a fight without quirk." Itsuka teases her friend while smirking.
"I am still far from your level Kendo sensei." Izuku teased back and saw her getting a little red from being called sensei.
"Yui and I are strong, but Itsuka is better, so we go into the team fights and they go for the light-weight category." Melissa explained while Yui just nodded.
"I heard you participate in many tournaments in different styles?" Juzo asked with a raised eyebrow.
"We like to participate in Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Kung-Fu, and Judo, but each one like to participate in one category of our own." Itsuka was embarrassed to admit that they like to fight.
"I like to participate in Kendo, Itsuka is great at Boxe, Melissa in Muay Thai and Yui is amazing on Aikido." Izuku then saw the shocked expressions on their faces.
"Now I see why you said they are stronger than you Todoroki!" Inasa wasn't expecting to meet people like that today.
"So you guys did the recommendation exam?" Neito asked and they saw Inasa's smile fall a little.
"Yeah, besides me, they all passed. Another girl did too, but she wasn't friendly." Inasa said and they feel bad for him, he looks like a cool guy.
"Sorry about that!" Izuku said offering him a comforting smile.
"Don't worry, I will go to Shiketsu and become a hero anyway. I hope we can still be friends even if I am at another school." He said with a nervous smile on his face.
"No need to be formal dude, if we can have this mad dog as our friend, you think we would reject you?" Neito said pointing at Katsumi.
"THAT'S IT! YOU ARE DEAD COPYCAT." She jumps from her seat and starts running behind Neito.
The three just look at that with wide eyes, while the others just laugh. Setsuna was the first to break the silence.
"Shouldn't we stop them?" She asks pointing to them.
"This is normal, they are like that since they were four." Shouto said while pulling one more table for all of them to sit.
"Todoroki said that you guys are even stronger than him, and now I know why, but who is the strongest?" Inasa asked curiously and the others nodded that this was indeed a good question.
They all pointed to Izuku and he got really embarrassed, he tried to look anywhere but them.
"His quirk is strong as hell, he can use anything from a legend, their weapons, abilities, magic, etc." Itsuka said smiling at her friend's embarrassment.
"He can use magic? Please tell me you can launch fireballs?" Setsuna asked with stars in her eyes.
"He can, when I use my ice quirk on him, he use fire sometimes and others he uses lighting too." Shoto said as if he didn't reveal that his most peaceful friend is the most powerful.
"This is unexpected, no offense Midoriya, but you look harmless," Juzo said politely.
"I heard that a lot. You guys said that the exam was a race?" He said with a nervous laugh.
"Yeah, we had to use our quirks to get to the finish line. I used my ice quirk to skate while my fire quirk boosted me forward." Shoto explained while looking at his friend.
"Damn half-half, you went like a Frozone ripoff?" Katsumi said tired of chasing Neito.
The others laughed at the joke and the image they had of Shoto with the costume.
"I was using my quirk to turn the ground in quicksand and move fast on it." Juzo explained a little embarrassed.
"I just separated my torso from the body and got a ride with the girl with ponytail and huge boobs." Setsuna laughed when she saw the boy getting red. 'This group will be fun to have around.'
"I was using my tornados to fly, but Shoto's quirk made a mist that made the girl with a motorcycle lose control and since the ground was quicksand she just jumped and continued, I sadly went face first on it." Inasa said a little embarrassed for not being able to dodge.
"The girl then pulled a scoot from her belly and got in fourth place. She was really mad since she started in the first place." Shoto explained and saw his friends smiling at him.
"She must have been mad for not being first, some people get annoyed easily, look at Katsumi for example." Neito joked and was ready to run again if she decided to go after him.
"Fuck you, copycat." She was too tired to run again. They laughed a little, but they have to admit that this must have been fun.
"Let's go to the arcade, we aren't here to pick on popcorn girl, that's for weekends." Mei said while getting the cards on the table, preparing to go.
They then see a limousine at the gate and the girl with a ponytail waiting to enter.
She notices them and her eyes were judging, they could swear they saw her somewhere, but they can't remember.
She enters the car and goes away, they decided to go to the arcade, and luckily for them, Inasa came in a car too. Setsuna, Shoto, and Juzo went with Inasa. The others went with Izuku.
After they got there, the three soon discovered how scary Yui was at games. They were talking about their families and the three got surprised to know about their parents and the pros that they call uncles, they were even more surprised to know that Lady Nagant was living with the Midoriyas.
"I can't believe she was able to counter every combo!" Inasa said after losing again.
"If it was on one game then it was okay, but she won on every game without a problem." Setsuna can't believe she lost at a dance game, she was the best in her class.
"This is indeed an unexpected situation." Juzo lost on a racing game and he can't help but laugh at how easy it was.
"Now you guys know why she is the queen." Itsuka said patting Yui's shoulder.
"My turn Yui, I got some new combos that I want to try." Izuku said while taking his place beside her on the new Heroes Royale.
"Hmm!" She looks at him and nods. 'Bring it on!'
"You guys are the weirdest group I know, So many pros in the same place? and you guys are all friends?" Setsuna said while watching Izuku going against Yui.
"We are, if you guys decide to be part of our little group then I am sure everyone will think the same of you guys too." Itsuka said while drinking her grape soda.
"I may not be there all the time since I will be at another school, but I would like to be part of it Kendo!" Inasa said excitedly.
"Geez, no need to be formal, we are all on a first name basis." Mei said while eating a hamburger.
"I can't wait to fight you guys someday, if you are recommendation students then you are strong." Katsumi said smirking without taking her eyes from the game she was playing with Neito.
"And you ask why I call you mad dog? You are trying to pick a fight with people we have known for only an hour." Neito said while defending Katsumi combo.
"Screw you! I just want to know how strong they are." Katsumi couldn't counter Neito combo and lost. "Damn it!"
"We can spar any time, I want to see how strong the green boy is." Setsuna said winking at Izuku making him nervous and lose the match. She just laughs at his reaction.
"You will be surprised. If you guys need support gear, just call me or Melissa." Mei finished her hamburger.
"I appreciate any help I can have." Juzo said bowing a little making them laugh.
They played for a time, but when was starting to get dark they decided to go home. They exchanged numbers and were already planning to train on weekends.
"I will take them home, I can't wait to hang out with you guys again." Inasa said in his usual excited tone.
"Indeed, this was a pleasant experience." Juzo said in a more happy and less formal tone.
"Yeah, you guys are cool, see you guys later." Setsuna waved before entering the car.
"You guys are cool too, and even if we are in different schools Inasa, we can still be friends." Shoto said with a small smile on his face.
"Look at you Shoto being all social." Melissa teased, making them chuckle.
They all said goodbye and went to their homes, happy that they have met those three today. School starts next month so they still have time to hang out without a problem.
-/ Yaoyorozu Manor /-
Momo Yaoyorozu was sitting on her bed talking with her mother.
"Yes mother, I did pass the exam." She said in a serious and formal tone.
"I assume you were first place, as the Yaoyorozu heir, anything below first place is unacceptable!" Her mother's tone was strict and made Momo flinch.
"I got in fourth place, the youngest son of Endeavor caught me off guard and made me lose the first place." She then heard the sound of impact and she can assume it was her mother's hand hitting the table.
"Fourth place? You mean the heir of the Yaoyorozu family was only able to reach fourth place?" Her tone was calm and that only made Momo more nervous.
"There's something I should tell you, mother, I heard something when I was passing him after the exam." Momo thought this could make her mother calm down.
"And what could it be?" She asked as if daring her to say something useless.
"He said that his friends are strong enough to win against his parents and All Might when they are training together" She answers a little nervous.
"Did he said any name?" Now that was interesting if it was true.
"No, but I saw them when I was on the gate. It was an unusual group." She couldn't disappoint her mother again.
"I know that Endeavor, Blizzard, and All Might have been reuniting with other pro heroes almost every day." She then starts thinking about something her connections said. 'Is this connected to what the president told me?'
"If they are strong enough to win against someone as All Might, then I can only imagine how strong they will be in the future." Momo tried to discover what her mother was thinking.
"I will make some calls then, I hope this is the last time I hear about you don't being in the first place Momo!" Her mother wasn't suggesting, this was an order.
"Yes Mother, I won't disappoint you again!" She answers with determination.
"You better not!" She hangs up without hearing an answer.
"Good night for you too!" Momo said in a sad tone before she turns around and lay on her huge bed. "I will not lose again."
