Update early today, gilfest farm is being hard thanks to that damn jaguar quest. This chapter will have only the main fight of Izuku team vs Melissa team. I won't write the other fights since many don't care. I would like to thank you all for supporting this story, you guys are awesome. Enjoy the chapter.
"What's the plan greenie?" Mei was putting in her pocket the flashbangs Momo created, she was ready to go face Melissa right away!
"Yaoyorozu, please make something for you to go to the roof, you enter from there! They will probably come to face us as we go up." Izuku took the role of leader as soon as the team was made.
"Okay! Here, for us to communicate, and some more of the capture tape for you." She then gave them some headsets.
"Cool quirk! While she goes up, we go through the front door. You can fight Katsumi and Shoto if you want, But Melissa is mine." Mei had a look of pure determination, Melissa and she were rivals and he would respect her request.
"Kacchan will probably try to fight us, Shoto must have done something that would make it hard to reach the bomb, that's the reason you will be going behind them." He then put his right hand on his face and a white skull mask cover the front of his face.
As soon as the mask appeared, many variations of Izuku appeared, all of them had the same mask, but they were all just dark silhouettes of the original, he still need to practice this noble phantasm.
"W-W-What are those?" Momo was shocked to see such a thing.
"Hundred Faces Hassan is a legend of an assassin with Multiple Personalities Disorder, the noble phantasm allows greenie to make copies of himself, but only the original can use other legends." Mei wasn't surprised by that reaction, when they saw this for the first time Izuku fainted for not being able to divide his mind like that. "Melissa will use the motion tracker, so those copies will make it useless."
"Let's go, four copies will follow you, the others will divide and help distract them from the bomb. They have limited intellect so they will follow your orders, for now, I can't control them well yet." As soon as he said that, the other copies were divided into groups of ten and surrounded the building.
"The bomb is on the 6th floor, My thermal vision shows that the temperature on that floor is -16º celsius!" Mei was looking at the building and then saw the other team going downstairs. "They are all coming down."
They then heard All Might's voice. "Start!"
Momo made a Hookshot for her and Izuku copies and aimed for the rooftop, she pulled herself up while the copies followed her.
Reaching the rooftop was easy, the problem was going to be how to retrieve the bomb.
When she got into the stairs she understood why the three went down, There was Ice blocking the whole stairs and by what Mei said, the whole floor would be blocked.
"I have an idea, get ready!" She sees the copies just nodding.
While Momo was preparing to retrieve the bomb, the other copies were running upstairs.
"You know they won't be able to do anything against them right?" Mei was running with two swords in her hands.
"I just need them to be distracted so she can retrieve the bomb." He gave Mei a smile that he always did when he had a plan.
Mei then stopped when she saw fire coming through a hallway.
"Really Izuku? Those fakers are too weak!" Shoto was there with Katsumi and Melissa looking at them.
"So cow tits are trying to retrieve the bomb? Good luck for her!" Katsumi's grin made him worried for a second if there was some kind of trap, but he knows they probably will have just frozen the place and made something to block the bomb.
"Sorry "Heroes", but we will win this time!" Melissa smile was the one of a warrior in a battle, she was the successor of All Might, and she would make sure to go beyond the expectations.
"Remember Izuku, popcorn girl and pepper ice cream are yours, Melissa is mine!" Mei then got into a stance, ready for the battle.
"Okay, nothing personal Melissa, but she called dibs." Izuku created Kanshou and Bakuya and prepared to battle.
Both sides didn't move, as if daring the other. Mei then throws at them the flashbangs Momo made.
When their vision cleared, Izuku and Mei were gone.
Suddenly the lights were cut off making the place completely dark, Melissa had Night vision on her visor so she was okay. Shoto made a fire to help them see in the darkness.
"I think using assassin's legends made you as coward as them Icchan!" Katsumi was trying to see any sign of them.
Melissa then sees Bakuya coming in her direction from the left, she then avoids the blade.
Shoto then decided to put an ice wall on one of the entries of the room.
"Go to the hallway, I will limit their options, Melissa try to restore the lights!" They went to the hallway they came and Shoto started blocking the path.
Mei came running and throws another flashbang on them.
"Not this time Mei!" Melissa then activated One for All and punched in Mei's direction the air force made the flashbang go back at her, but the force throw Mei at the wall on the other side.
"Nice! Let's get her before-" Katsumi was interrupted by a golden lance flying in her direction.
Shoto was going to try to block again the entrance, only to be hit on the back by a skeleton holding a mace.
"What the hell?" Shoto pulled his swords and used his Ice sword to freeze the skeleton.
"That's Medea dragon tooth soldiers. Izuku is trying something, everyone covers each other back." Melissa then sees Mei changing her weapon into an SMG and aim for her.
Melissa then starts jumping from wall to wall trying to making it hard to aim. She then charges One for All on her arm at 20% and tries to punch Mei in the face.
Mei avoids the punch, but the wall was completely destroyed, making a hole big enough to make the whole room bright again.
"There goes our cover." Mei then changes her weapon into two pistols and change the ammo to lighting, if she hit the right place, Melissa would be in trouble.
While both were at their combat, Katsumi and Shoto were going to help Melissa, only for Izuku to appear in front of them.
"Sorry, but Mei asked for that fight!" He then makes Kanshou and Bakuya again and went against Shoto who used his swords to block him.
"You are at advantage in a sword fight Izuku." He then tries to use his fire sword to cut Izuku, but he just dodged at the last second.
"He may have an advantage, but don't give a fuck!" Katsumi tried to attack Izuku from behind, but he jumped to the side and avoided being hit.
"You guys probably used something to block the whole floor, and as a safety measure must have used Shoto Ice to keep the bomb safe." Izuku was avoiding being cut by Shoto, but Katsumi moving was being problematic.
While the fight was going downstairs, Momo used her quirk to make flamethrowers for her and the copies, but it was taking too long for her to pass through the Ice.
"Keep focusing on one place, we still have time to reach the bomb." The copies were going at a steady pace, but she didn't want to end this without doing her part.
This would put the Yaoyorozu name to shame.
She then saw that they were in the middle of the room and decided to make some incendiary grenades to make the job easier.
She throws the grenades in the middle of the hole they made at the ice and she made the copies keep melting the ice.
"There it is!" She sees the bomb there, but as she made the copies start making their way to the bomb.
The whole area around the bomb exploded.
Even at the lower levels, they heard the explosion upstairs.
"What was that?" Mei asked surprised by that.
"Did you guys really thought we would just put Ice there?" Melissa's smile was almost as feral as Katsumi's.
"What you did? Looks like the whole place almost explodes." Izuku then hears a loud laugh, but what surprised him was that it was Shoto laughing.
"Simple Izuku, an area of 3 feet around the bomb is Katsumi sweat, which means it is nitroglycerin." Shoto then sees the shock on Izuku and Mei's faces.
"Half-half used his fire quirk to make me sweat a lot, we then made sure to put the sweat around the bomb and then freeze it." Katsumi then pointed her left gauntlet to Izuku and he knew what she was about to do.
"Damn!" If what Mei told him on the way here was the truth, then those gauntlets were bad news.
"Boom Icchan!" she pulls the pin on the gauntlet and a huge flame came in his direction, dodge wasn't a choice.
"Rho Aias!" He opens his hand and summoned his shield, Katsumi explosion was too strong.
When her attack hit the shield, it was dispersed around, even Mei and Melissa had to avoid some flames in their directions.
Izuku then sees one of the layers being destroyed, and he felt pain in his arm.
When the attack finished, the whole way between Izuku and Katsumi was destroyed and some parts behind Izuku were destroyed too.
"That was dangerous Kacchan, it wasn't for Rho Aias, I would be dead now!" Izuku now was even more worried about what they would do next.
"You had to give her the gauntlets right?" Melissa was looking at Mei with a raised eyebrow.
"You have to admit it is cool!" She said smiling and Melissa just rolled her eyes.
-/ Monitoring Room /-
"What the hell was that?" Kaminari was scared by what would have happened if it was him being hit by that attack.
"Yaoyorozu almost didn't escape the explosion around the bomb, and Midoriya was only able to survive that attack because of that barrier." Iida was analyzing them and he couldn't understand how they can be so powerful.
"Those girls from the support department are strong, maybe stronger than some of us!" Kyoka Jiro didn't like to admit it, but those girls were way stronger than her.
"Midoriya is amazing for holding against Bakugo and Todoroki!" Uraraka was excited by their fight.
"All Might sir! You should stop the fight." Kirishima then sees their teacher there with a huge smile on his face.
"They have everything under control, look at them, do you see fear in their eyes?" He points to Izuku and they see him smiling, he was enjoying the fight.
"Look at Yaoyorozu!" Asui pointed to the screen and everyone look at it.
-/ Last Floor of the building /-
Momo managed to escape the explosion, but the copies were exploded, she then sees that the explosion made the floor of the room collapse, she could try to use the Hookshot to go to the bomb ice cage, but if the cage also had a trap, she would risk failing the exam.
"No! I will do this!" She then used the Hookshot to go to the bomb, when she got there she started to make a big drill to reach the bomb, she just needs to touch it.
While she was working on the bomb, Mei was having her so desired fight against Melissa.
'She is fast, and she knows how to use the room to move in unpredictable ways.' She was kicked on the stomach and went flying to the wall.
"You wouldn't want to fight me without having a way to counter my quirk! So I can only imagine what you are planning." Melissa was approaching her carefully, she wasn't a fool and would run straight to her.
"I don't have to win the fight, just make sure you can't help your team." Mei smiled at her and then transformed her weapon into a 20mm anti-tank rifle, and changed her ammo to Ice.
Melissa started jumping around again, but Mei just throws her last flashbang at her, Melissa tried to cover her eyes, but it was useless.
Mei then throws at Melissa's face a small bomb that made foamed glue making her unable to see, but Melissa used One for all to break free.
Mei then throws more of said bombs at her and shoot at Melissa's chest with lighting ammo.
Melissa then go down.
"If you were even using 30% I would have lost on the first punch, let's eat at the usual place after school, your team will pay since you lost." They laughed a little.
Mei then starts running to help Izuku, but Melissa was starting to get up.
"Good thing I made upgrades on the material." Melissa then turn to see Mei running. "My turn."
Izuku was fighting with everything he has against his friends, He knows Katsumi was just waiting to use the gauntlet again.
Mei was behind the corner aiming at Shoto, she changed her ammo to lighting again and aimed at his knees.
"This will hurt!" She shoots at his right knee, making him scream with the pain.
Izuku used the opportunity to kick him in the face, Shoto dropped his swords and put his hand on his now broken nose.
"That hurt!" He gave Mei and Izuku a glare.
"It was supposed to!" Izuku smirked at him.
Shoto and Izuku then continued their fight, while they were at that Mei was trying to hit Katsumi.
"Goddamn it, glasses must have been captured." Katsumi then sees Mei aiming at her and aimed her gauntlet at her. " Let's see if that suit can take this."
"Shit!" Mei saw Katsumi pulling the pin on her right gauntlet, Izuku wanted to help, but Shoto used his ice quirk to freeze her feet on the ground.
'I admit that may have been a bad idea to make those for her!' Mei thought while she made her weapon into a big shield to protect herself and changed the element to Ice.
The attack once again destroyed everything on the way, when it made contact with her shield, a dense mist was made.
"MEI!" Izuku turns to see that her shield was barely able to hold the attack, but she managed to avoid being hurt.
Her weapon was damaged so she couldn't fight with it anymore.
They then see Melissa coming and she didn't look happy.
"Ops! Forgot the tape." Mei rubbed the back of her head and Izuku's facepalmed.
He then went to her side and summoned Kanshou and Bakuya to her, she grabbed the swords and prepared to face Melissa while he was ready to face Katsumi and Shoto that had grabbed his swords again.
The villain team was coming and their feral smiles made both nervous.
"It's been an honor to fight by your side!" Izuku gave me a nervous smile.
"For me too, King shark!" She laughed a little when she saw that Melissa was angry.
Melissa charged One for all on her fists and Melissa was sure that even if it was controlled, she would feel that.
Katsumi was acting like a lion, and Izuku was a poor deer, Shoto would make sure to repay his broken nose.
"THE HEROES WIN! The bomb was retrieved!" They heard All Might's voice and they look at each other.
"I gues Yaoyorozu did it!" Izuku was relieved that they won, even if barely.
"FOR FUCK SAKE! I WAS ABOUT TO DESTROY THEM!" Katsumi was having a rage outburst as usual.
They then see Momo entering through the hole on the wall.
"You did it, girl!" Mei high-fived her and Momo saw the destruction of the place.
"What did I miss?" Momo was surprised by what she was seeing.
"Nothing much, we won and that is all that matters." Izuku wais and offered his hand to her. "Good work at retrieving the bomb."
"Thanks, that last explosion helped a lot. It made the Ice holding it breaks and the bomb fall with enough strength to break a hole big enough for me to touch." She said smiling.
"It's your fault then!" Shoto slapped the back of Katsumi's head.
"Your Ice that is weak, you fucker!" She knew that it was kinda her fault, but she wouldn't admit it.
"No, we made a bad plan and we paid for that. We must learn from this." She then looks at Mei. "The pizza is on us today."
"I want extra pepperoni!" Mei was so glad it was finished that she jumped on Izuku's back. "We did it greenie! Our first win at UA."
"We sure did, all thanks to Yaoyorozu!" He then smiled, making her a little red.
"We will win next time." Shoto patted Izuku's shoulder. "You still have to pay for my broken nose."
"Enjoy your victory while you can heroes because the queen will be back to claim her throne!" They look at her with raised eyebrows and she got a little red and lowered her head. "I thought that since we were the villains I should say something like that."
They laughed and went to talk with All Might.
On the way back, Momo was looking at Izuku with great interest.
'His quirk is strong, he was a good leader.' She then walks a little faster to his side, while Mei was still on his back. 'I won't fail mother.'
-/ Monitoring Room /-
"That was a great performance, all of you made creative uses of what you had at hand." All Might received them with a huge smile on his face.
"Young Midoriya, your skills as a leader were good for the first time, maybe if you had sent more copies with young Yaoyorozu things could have been easier." He then put his hand on Izuku's head. "You honored your friend request even knowing she was at disadvantage, a hero must trust his allies, and you did that today, but you should focus on the mission first instead of personal feelings."
"Thank you, All Might!" Izuku then gave him a big smile, happy for the praises.
"Young Hatsume, your creative uses of those gadgets made you a challenge for someone with a strong quirk, you provided support to your friend. That makes you a force to be recognized." He then got a little more serious, but his smile was still there. "You forgot to secure that the enemy was captured and that almost made you lose, wanting to protect your friend is good, but never forget the enemy in front of you."
"Sorry! I thought I had her knocked out." She was rubbing the back of her head a little embarrassed.
"Young Yaoyorozu, your quick thinking made you able to avoid being caught by the explosion, you were able to retrieve the bomb and win the test." He then got the same serious tone that he did with Mei. "But you forgot that a hero must adapt to any situation, you could have avoided wasting time by asking the exact direction where the enemy had put the bomb to your team."
"Sorry sir, I will do better next time." She lowers her head and she had to admit she completely forgot about that.
"Young Todoroki, your idea of combining young Bakugo sweat with your ice to make a trap was amazing, you worked well with your team and were able to push your enemies to their limits." He then sees the boy giving him a small smile. "But you insisted on keep fighting even knowing that one of the enemies was trying to retrieve the bomb and that made you lose."
"I understand sir, I will learn from my mistake." Shoto knows he could have done better.
"Young Katsumi, your desire for a fight made you forget that this was a team fight, young Todoroki was hit and lost his weapons, but you decided to keep fighting instead of throwing them to him." He then sees her lowering her head frustrated. "You did well on your fight against young Midoriya, but you also forgot that your role was to protect the place that was your hideout. Your attack could have made the whole building go down, not only risking your life but of your allies too."
"I am sorry for that sir, I was too focused on proving myself." Now that the adrenaline was out of her, she could now think calmly about her mistakes.
"Young Shield, your leadership was good, you coordinate your allies with confidence and took risks to make sure you fulfilled your role. Your mistake was the same as your teammates, you should have protected the bomb instead of focusing on a fight, you even went against an enemy that had a way to counter your quirk" He then looks at his successor with a big smile on his face. "Even if you lost this time, you accepted with your head high and proud. Learn from the defeat is good and will make you become not only a better hero but a better person too."
"I am sorry sir, it won't happen again." Even now, she was accepting her mistake with pride, she would do better after this loss and would become a better hero worth the responsibility she had.
After hearing All Might, they felt a weight being lifted from their shoulders.
"Congratulations on your first hero training!" All Might had a huge smile full of pride on his face.
The other fights weren't as exciting as the first, Uraraka and Iida were paired as villains against Hakagure and Jiro as heroes, they lost since one was invisible and the other made a lot of noises making them unable to hear Hakagure approaching and touching the bomb.
After the hero training was over, they went to lunch and talk about their own advice for each other. The others came to eat with them too since they were curious about how the hero training was.
Momo thought that it was a good opportunity to try to approach Izuku again and went to the table.
"Can I sit here?" She was looking at them with a nervous smile.
"Sure, I wanted to ask more about your quirk too!" Izuku offered her the sit on his right, while Reiko was on his left showing him books of cosmic horrors she wanted to know if he could use.
"Thank you, we can ask about my quirk, but I doubt it is as impressive as yours." She said offering a small smile to the group, she knows that she had to be on their good side to make her approach easier.
"We watched you making flamethrowers and incendiary grenades, how can you say that is not impressive?" Uraraka asked from the seat ahead of her.
"We were able to win thanks to you, don't talk like you haven't done anything." Mei was eating while talking with Melissa about how to improve the resistance of their babies again.
"Okay, thank you for the compliments." She was here for her mother's orders, but it was nice to be praised for her deeds.
"Yeah, she was able to sneak and get the bomb, but I want to see her in a fight!" Katsumi was still angry for losing.
"That eager to lose again popcorn girl?" Neito couldn't resist teasing her, and if he win tomorrow on his hero training, she wouldn't hear the end of it.
"Stop teasing her, the humiliating defeat is still fresh." Setsuna was laughing at Katsumi showing her teeth and growling like an animal.
"You lost for underestimating your enemies, there's no lesson in victory my friends, but a thousand on the defeat." Juzo as always was trying to keep things peaceful, for at least a minute.
"I am surprised Izuku, you could have used Iskandar legend to win the three of them in a second. Why not do that?" Itsuka asked and saw the others that didn't know about the legend giving her a raised eyebrow.
"If I did use it, Mei would have been caught too, and I don't know if bring someone to a reality marble would make me fail the exam. Besides, it wouldn't be fair against them." Izuku didn't want to sound arrogant, but he knew that the three of them wouldn't be able to win against a whole army.
"Wait, so you were holding back?" Momo was shocked, if that was him with only lesser legends, what can he do with the strongest?
"No, each legend have their strong and weak points." He said rubbing the back of his head.
"Melissa was only using 10%, so we can say both our best fighters were holding back." Mei then notices the others looking at her with shock. "What?"
"I am scared to see what you guys can do when you are not holding back." Iida said a little nervous.
"Even if you guys say that I am the strongest, there's one person you guys are forgetting that is way stronger than me, and it's here with us." They look at him surprised, there's someone that he thinks is stronger than him.
"Who it is? I may be as strong as you, but who would be stronger?" Melissa was curious now.
"Neito, I think that if he copy the right quirks, he may win against me without a problem." They then look at Neito and he was embarrassed, the guy that they consider the strongest just said that he thought Neito was stronger.
"I wasn't expecting that, thanks for the vote of confidence Izuku." Neito wasn't used to that.
"Please Izuku doesn't do that, I ship you with Todoroki!" Setsuna had fake tears on her face.
"Setsuna, this ship won't sail. Stop shipping our friends." Itsuka hit her shoulder making everyone laugh.
They talked during the whole lunch and Momo was able to talk with Izuku for some time, but with a group as big as that, it was kinda hard to talk as much as she liked.
After school was over, Uraraka and Iida went home and they went to the arcade since those who lost would pay, Inasa went there after school.
Momo told her driver to not come to get her since she would go with them, she wouldn't waste the opportunity.
When they reached the arcade she was surprised, it was her first time in such a place.
"What are you doing standing there? Come play with us." Itsuka called her and while they were playing air hockey, Shoto, Setsuna, Inasa and, Juzo was at the table eating their pizza.
"She isn't here to become friends with us, she wants something with Izuku." Setsuna was looking at the girl playing with Itsuka.
"So you noticed too? I thought I was seeing things." Shoto also thought it was weird that every time she came to talk with them, she only focused on Izuku.
"You guys said her name is Momo Yaoyorozu right? What would a girl from a rich family want with Izuku? It would make sense if she tried to approach you Shoto." Inasa wasn't at UA all the time, but from what they talked about on the phone, he was aware of her actions.
"Maybe she thinks he is cute or something?" Juzo tried to see things from another perspective, he didn't want to get suspicious of someone until he had proof.
"It's possible, he is cute and I saw him without a shirt too, so I know he got good muscles." She looks around and sees the boys staring at her. "What?"
"Nothing, just remember to never forget to lock the doors when we go change." Shoto gave her a small smile, making her pout a little.
They played for some time until they had to go home.
-/ Yaoyorozu Manor /-
"Hello, mother! I have good news for you, I had hero training today and was on the same team as Izuku Midoriya." She was excited to hear her mother's praises for good work.
"What happened then?" Her mother's tone was as cold as always.
"I brought the victory to the team against the son of Endeavor." She could report the progress about Midoriya later, she wanted her mother to know about her victory first.
"That's nothing to be so excited about, as a member of the Yaoyorozu family, victory is the only option. Now tell me about what I ordered you." She was harsh with her words, not even a 'well done daughter.'
"Sorry mother, I was able to impress him during the training and approach him today, he went to the arcade with his friends and invited me to go with them, I took the chance and was able to get on good terms with his friends too." She was a little sad that her mother didn't care about her victory, but she wouldn't fail her.
"Good, make sure to keep approaching him, I had a great interest in that boy." Her mother hangs up again and Momo just laid on her bed wondering what interest her mother has in him.
Here we end this chapter, Izuku victory wasn't easy and Melissa also had to hold back or she would kill someone with one punch. Mei and Melissa fight were kinda hard to do since many would say Melissa should win easily, but let's not forget that this is training, they are not trying to kill each other. See you all Next time.
