Another chapter here for you guys to enjoy, Time to prepare for the so-awaited invasion of UA. There will be surprises there so get ready for an intense fight. Enjoy the chapter.
"Everything is ready sir, the Nomus have matured enough to be able to fight, the first failed prototype is ready to be commanded, he is weak compared to the others, but he may be able to fight All Might without any problem." Garaki was working on his last Nomus.
"Excellent! Now I just need to make sure Izuku Midoriya won't be able to fight the Nomu for some time when we send it to UA." All for One knows the boy could use some legends to defeat the Nomu, but he had a plan to avoid that.
If everything goes according to his plan, he may be able to get all the information he wants.
"Why not just kill the boy? Even if it is a failed product, it is still something that could be used to kill other heroes, maybe if we send 3 high-ends-" Garaki was then interrupted by the annoyed expression on his boss's face.
"That boy mustn't be touched, I already have enough problems to deal with. I want Kurogiri to keep teleporting him around so he won't interfere." His tone was dead serious, he wouldn't allow the boy to be hurt, not when it was almost time to fulfill his promise.
"Sorry, sir! I know that it would be a problem to our plans, but I can't stop wondering why you haven't done anything against Hisashi Midoriya yet?" Garaki knows the man is strong, but for a man who can steal quirks to not do anything against him says that he wasn't someone that could be underestimated.
"As I said before, Hisashi Midoriya isn't a problem to us, so let's not turn him into one." He isn't a fool, he knows that he could fight against Hisashi, but he don't know if he would live after the fight.
"I understand, I will make sure the Nomus are ready for when you need them." Garaki then went back to work on more Nomus, leaving All for One alone.
'Killing the boy? How could I? I owe them a lot!' He then went to talk with his successor, Tenko had a mission to do.
-/ UA Main Gate /-
Many journalists were trying to enter and try to get an interview with All Might or at least take photos and videos of him teaching at classes.
Izuku came alone today, his friends had some things to do and would meet him there when a reporter saw him, she went as fast as she could to him.
"Good Morning! Are you a student of the hero course?" The woman was of average height and a modest figure, with brown hair that was on a ponytail that went bellow her shoulder. Her eyes were brown and big, she was wearing a blue suit with a white shirt and an armband with the logo of her channel.
"Y-Yes, I am from the hero course!" Izuku was kinda nervous about her invading his personal space.
"How it is All Might as a teacher? Are his classes a true spartan regime or he is a teacher that prefers a comfortable pace?" She had stars on her eyes at each question, and at each word, she was invading more and more of his personal space.
"W-We just had one class with him since school has begun this week, but it was a great experience to have him teaching us. We can do our best with the symbol of peace there to inspire us." Izuku was training with him since he was a kid, but that doesn't make what he said meaningless.
He then see the other reporters coming and decided that it wasn't a good idea to keep talking.
"Sorry, classes are about to start!" He then start running and use his ID to open the gate for him, but he made sure that they wouldn't pass too.
When he looks back at the gate he sees Yaoyorozu Limousine there, her driver came to open the door for her and bow in respect. She was like a princess arriving on a carriage.
The reporter's open passage for her, they knew who she was and wouldn't risk doing something that could make them lose their jobs.
She look at him and waved while smiling, she then came to him quickly to try to use this opportunity to close the distance between them.
"Good morning, Midoriya! I am surprised to see you alone." Not that she would complain, it is good that she was able to find him alone before class. 'If the reporters take photos about us and this starts rumors I can explore the chance.'
"My friends had things to do before class, and since I have time before classes start, I will be killing time." He then start walking around the campus since he still had 20 minutes before classes started.
Momo was walking beside him the whole time, she didn't know what topics to talk about since she already explained her quirk to him. 'That's it! His quirk possibilities.'
"Have you tried to use the powers from Gods? Maybe you can use them?" She was trying to know more about him to fulfill her mission and to also satisfy her curiosity.
"I can't use God's powers since many things are lost in history, for example, I can't heal people like Jesus since there are many things that were lost in history and the bible was changed many times along the years." He explained to her while he went to a bench on the road and sit there.
"So you can use the "demi-gods" like Heracles?" She was curious now. 'Doesn't that mean that if he have the whole story of a God, he would be able to use their powers?'
"Yes, since his story isn't lost, that is the only problem. If I have all the details, I can use it." He opens his backpack and gets a book with the legend of Jeanne d'Arc.
"Jeanne d'Arc? So you can't use only male legends?" She wasn't expecting that.
"I can use female legends too, Hundred Faces Hassan was a woman and I had no problem using it." He expected this reaction, of course, people would think that he could only use male legends.
"Interesting, so your quirk is not limited to gender or if it is a myth or not, but instead the only problem is if the legend is incorrect, or is missing important details." Momo thought that in a way, his quirk was similar to hers. 'If I don't know the composition, I can't create.'
"Yes, I can use many legends now, but I am not even half of the books my parents have." He then start reading, but he still was able to give attention to her.
He had to learn to be able to keep a conversation and read at the same time since Katsumi wasn't able to be quiet while he was reading.
"How many legends do you have books about?" She knows many people don't even like to read a book as a hobby, but he would need to read as many as possible.
"I guess 300, some legends are bond with each other like the knights of the round table, but I need to learn their legends individually if I want to use their full power." He was at half of his book so it wouldn't take long until he could use that legend.
Momo then notice the many bookmarks and the notebook on his side where he would take notes of the legend.
"What if some new legend appears? would you be able to use it? Like All Might? He is a hero known on the whole world." He then stops reading his book to look up at her.
"All Might is indeed a hero known around the world, but he is not a legend. So I can't use his power, but if he becomes one someday, then maybe I can."He then went back to reading.
"What makes something a legend then?" She was so invested in this topic that she almost forgot about the reason she was talking with him.
"Many things, would be hard to explain. Not all the legends are from good people, some are from beings that can be considered worse than demons. Like Blackbeard, Mephistopheles, and Jack the Ripper. I hope I don't have to use them, it's something that would put nightmares on people, but better have and don't use than don't have and need them." He got a sad expression on his face, but she wouldn't ask about it now.
They sit there in silence for some time, Momo took some glances at him. He wasn't bad-looking, and she know how powerful he can be if what his friends said is any indication.
'I still don't know why my mother wants me to approach him but must have something to do with his quirk.' She couldn't help but wonder what would make him want to become friends with her, she was raised in a strict house so she wasn't exactly experienced in being social with people of her age.
"May I ask you something?" He look at her once again, it was the first time he would be the one to start a conversation.
"What is it?" She wasn't expecting him to want to know something besides her quirk.
"Why are you here?" He looks at her with honest concern and that caught her off guard.
"To become a hero like everyone? This is a hero school Midoriya!" She was confused now, why would he ask that?
"I mean, what is the reason you want to be a hero?" He was looking at her and it wasn't with judgment, he was just curious.
"I think I will keep this a secret for now, sorry if that isn't what you want to hear." She bows a little for not being able to answer him.
"It's okay, must be personal." He then look at the device on his wrist and see that it was almost time for classes. "We should go, classes start now."
"Yeah, let's go!" They then went to their classroom and when they got there, Izuku saw that Iida was already there reviewing his notes.
Izuku went to talk with Iida while Momo went to her seat and take notes on her progress so far.
One by one, each student arrived and they were just waiting for their teacher. When Aizawa came, he look at the class with a little frown.
"Today you all have a situation that I want to be solved by the end of class." The whole class got tense after hearing that, would be a surprise test? "You will decide the class representant and vice."
'Thank god is not a test!' The whole class thought at the same time.
"I don't care who it is, just make sure to choose quickly and DON'T wakes me up!" He then went to his yellow sleeping bag and went to sleep.
"Okay class, we all need to decide orderly who wants to be a candidate? We can vote now and make it an effective use of our time." Iida was already with his hand up.
"If we are choosing who will be in charge then I am the perfect person for the job." Katsumi was already making plans on how to put her position to use.
"Not a chance popcorn girl, Izuku would be way better than you. Actually, anyone would." Shoto was smiling and Katsumi was looking at him as if she would attack him.
"What was that half-half? Do you want to repeat that after I explode your ass?" The whole class could see the sparks, they already knew who shouldn't receive their votes.
"Why do you think I should do it?" Izuku was surprised that his friend would suggest him.
"Because in case you haven't noticed yet, our group gravitates around you. And at the hero training, you took the role of leader without a problem." Shoto explained and then the whole class look at Izuku, making him get red from embarrassment.
"Let's vote now then." Iida instructed them and the students started writing the names and put them on a bag in front of the class.
Iida then started counting the votes and he didn't like what he saw. 'Not even one vote? My classmates don't trust me?'
After the votes were counted, Izuku and Momo were standing in front of the class. Izuku got seven votes and Momo got three votes.
"Looks like you won Midoriya, I hope we can work well together." Momo gave him a small smile.
"What the fuck is that? I understand Iichan getting votes, but her?" Katsumi was pointing at Momo and the girl had to hold back to not say anything rude to one of Izuku's friends.
"At least is better than you, after all, she won against you right?" Jiro said smirking at her reaction.
"I will kill you clapboard!" Jirou then look at her with killing intent, this was a sensitive topic for her.
"Try me rabid dog!" Kyoka pointed her jacks at Katsumi.
"Enough both of you. Kacchan, the class voted and we won, please don't pick a fight with anyone." Izuku was calm, he was expecting she would react like that, but if they wake up their teacher it would be bad for everyone.
"You are good at this! I am glad I voted you, very manly." Eijiro was impressed by his classmate.
"Now you see why I said he is better than you?" Shoto's smile only made Katsumi more frustrated.
"Let's just calm down and focus on our classes, okay?" Momo had time to calm herself, she wouldn't waste the opportunity she got.
The classes went as normal, it was lunchtime and Izuku was with his friends at the cafeteria talking about his new position.
"You are the class representative too? I was voted and Neito is the vice." Itsuka was glad that she would work with someone she knew.
"Are you fucking kidding me? Copycat was voted? I hate my classmates even more now." Katsumi was pouting like a kid, that reaction only made them laugh.
"Don't feel bad popcorn girl, some are made to lead, and some are made to be put on a leash." He then start running since Katsumi started chasing him.
"I would like to raise the bet on Katsumi." Mei then steal their pudding while they were running.
"They will kill you for stealing their dessert." Melissa then takes one from her hand and starts eating.
"So why are you eating?" Reiko asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I want to support my friends, even when they do something like this. And I like pudding." Her reason only made everyone roll their eyes.
"I still can't believe I won, I didn't even say that I wanted." Izuku was still surprised by the results.
"Don't even think about quitting, if you want to be a hero, you have to start accepting this kind of responsibility. Your classmates think you are a good leader and if you refuse then you are spitting on their choice." Itsuka then looks around and sees everyone staring at her. "What?"
"Nothing, Mom!" Yui's joke made Itsuka embarrassed and everyone laugh.
"I voted on you because you proved more than once that you have great skills as a leader." Iida explained with his exaggerated arm moves.
"I voted because I trust you will be good for the class." Uraraka was excited as always.
"By the way Midoriya, you voted on yourself?" Setsuna's question made them look at him with curiosity.
"No, I voted for Yaoyorozu." Two things happened when he said that.
The first was Momo Yaoyorozu listening since she was passing by the table, the second was Katsumi jumping at him and grabbing his collar.
"YOU DID WHAT? You traitor, you should vote for your friends." Katsumi was shaking him back and forward like a doll.
"That was unexpected my friend, I won't question you about it, but it was indeed unexpected." Juzo thinks that his friend must have a reason for that.
-/ UA Main Gate /-
At the gate there it was the reporters trying to pass and get interviews, someone with a black hoodie and black pants then touch the gate and it start to turn into dust.
The reporters then enter UA running and the alarm was activated, The young man then smiles while he walks calmly to his objective.
"Have fear heroes, for I am here!"
-/ UA Cafeteria /-
The students hear the alarm and started running in panic, the doors weren't large enough for everyone to pass at the same time.
Izuku and his friends were being pushed by the other students and they couldn't move.
He then sees the teachers chasing reporters outside the window.
'It's just the media?' Izuku then tries to get the attention of the students. "Guys is just-" He was being pushed around and couldn't talk. 'That's enough!'
He activates Emiya legend and creates a megaphone and a Hookshot. He uses the Hookshot to reach the top of the exit.
"STOP! It's just the media, the teachers are trying to make them leave. Panic won't help us, we are heroes in training, so stop pushing around and walk calmly!" He then sees the other students looking at him and calming down. "Thank you! Let's leave calmly as the heroes we want to be."
He then jumps down and goes with the other students to the exit.
"That was a good greenie, talked like a good hero with the public." Mei patted his shoulder impressed by the demonstration of a hero keeping his calm and leading the others.
"Do you still doubt the reason we voted for you?" Shoto looks at his friend smiling.
"You are right, I will make sure you guys won't regret your choice." Izuku then sees Yaoyorozu looking at him, she just nods her head and starts walking again.
-/ UA Main Gate /-
"The gate wasn't forced open, it was destroyed!" Nezu was looking at the decayed gate.
"They didn't have quirks that can do that, someone else must have done it." Higari was inspecting for any clue about the culprit.
"Someone was very interested in entering the campus." Vlad king was looking at the security cameras for anything that could help.
"What we do principal?" Midnight didn't like the situation.
"The students are okay, but we need to reinforce the security." Nezu would have to call his friends and tell them about this. 'The boy was here? Does Hisahsi know?'
He then decide that it was better to investigate this without risking the students.
"Tell the students that they are dismissed today, we need all our attention on this." Nezu was already calling his friends to talk about it.
"Yes, sir!" The teachers went to talk with the students, they would need to be sure they were safe before anything else.
"I must call him!"
-/ League of villains headquarters /-
"Sensei, I did everything you asked." The young man was talking with his mentor proud of himself.
"Good, you will invade UA tomorrow. Your objective is to use the Nomu to incapacitate as many people as possible." He made sure to put strength at his words.
"But sensei, why not just kill everyone? The Nomu would be able to do it right?" He wasn't sure why not just make a massacre and prevent future heroes before they become a problem.
"If students are killed, the pros wouldn't stop looking for us, that would become a problem to our other operations. Your attack at UA is only to distract them while I do something."
"What will you be doing sensei? If you don't mind me asking." He was surprised, his mentor avoid walking around without a reason.
"I will pay a visit to two old friends and their little daughter, you will meet their son at UA. He will be the one that will kill the Nomu." His smile only got wider when he saw the reaction of his successor.
"A student will kill the Nomu? How strong he is?" He didn't like that, a student strong enough to kill the Nomu would become a huge problem in the future.
"His name is Izuku Midoriya, green hair, and freckles. When you see him, tell Kurogiri to retreat and he will teleport all the villains that will be with you." He then put his hand on the boy's shoulder. "Kurogiri will be teleporting him around for some time so you can keep them occupied. After twenty minutes, retreat no matter what happens."
"Okay sensei, but I would like to see this guy's strength personally if possible." He had an interest in someone so strong.
"You can fight him if he kills the Nomu before the time is over." He then got a serious expression. "Don't kill the boy, you can fight if you want, but don't kill him."
"Understood, I will be careful." The young man then leaves to prepare everything for his mission tomorrow.
"It's been a while we haven't been able to drink together, should I bring something for the kids?" He then starts walking with a sinister smile on his face. "After all, they are..."
-/ UA Main Gate /-
"Since classes are canceled we sho-" Iida was trying to tell them to study even if classes were canceled for at least ten minutes, but Katsumi interrupt him.
"Do you ever shut the fuck up? Classes are canceled, if you want to study then go ahead, but don't try to force everyone on it." Katsumi already didn't like Iida, he was always trying to make people study even when they were eating.
"For once, I agree with the rabid animal. You should learn to relax dude, when was the last time you did something bad?" Neito was walking beside Katsumi and he had his hand on her face holding her from attacking him.
It was easy since she is so small.
"I have never done anything bad, I want to honor the name of my family since we are a family of heroes." Iida said with pride in his voice. "Do you guys know Ingenium the Turbo hero?"
"The boy scout that has many sidekicks?" Katsumi asked with a raised eyebrow.
"He is my older brother, our family is made of heroes and I want to make him proud of me." He always feels pride in talking about his family legacy.
"So that's why you talk so strictly!" Uraraka pointed out.
"Now that you mention it, I can see the similarities." Itsuka was looking at Iida and she now could see the traces of his brother.
"It's good to have someone in the family that inspires you." Melissa had a heavy burden on her shoulder, but her main inspiration would always be her father.
"So you want to be a hero just to continue your family works?" Mei asked with a somewhat serious tone.
"Yes, I will become a hero that makes them proud, but I still can't lead people. My brother honor and follow all the rules and make sure that everyone does the same." He said that and everyone except Uraraka thought the same thing, but of course they wouldn't say that loud.
"That's stupid!" Everyone except Yui.
"What?" He looks at the girl with a frown on his face.
"Yui, that was uncalled for." Itsuka was doing her work as the big sister of the group, and try to avoid a fight.
"I agree with doll face, you want to be a hero just to follow your brother's steps? That's beyond retarded." Katsumi said with the delicacy of dynamite.
"What is wrong about wanting to continue my family legacy?" His tone was cold and serious.
"Enough guys, we are all friends here." Juzo was trying to keep things under control.
"There's nothing wrong about using your family as inspiration, but you are not your brother, acting like him will only limit your view of the world and hold your true potential." Reiko's tone was calm even under his gaze.
"Are you all saying, that I am unworthy of being a hero?" He was looking at their faces, he was getting angrier by the second.
"Geez dude, see what they mean? You heard something you disagree and you got all angry about it. No one said you aren't fit to be a hero, listen to the others before talking." Setsuna agrees with them, but she would at least try to say more smoothly.
"Iida, I am the son of the number 2 hero, but I don't care about what kind of hero my father is, I live my life, not him." Shoto had a heavy burden being the son of Endeavor.
"Rules are important, but they aren't everything. Someone may break the rules to protect someone they love, and people can do bad things just to force the others to follow their rules." Neito then looked at Izuku for a second before looking at Iida.
"You guys don't know what are you talking about!" His hands were into fists, he thought they wouldn't judge him, but it seem he was wrong.
"Our parents are famous pro heroes, inventors, prosecutors. We understand the pressure of a family legacy, but WE will live our lives, not our parents. You can use your brother as inspiration, but don't make him the center of your life." Izuku was trying to at least make Iida see something good from this since his friends just dropped this bomb on him.
"I have to go!" Iida had his head down, he went walking without saying another word.
"The fuck was that guys? Look what you did, you hurt his feelings."Itsuka glare was focused on Yui since she started.
"If he keeps thinking only about rules and his family name, People WILL die." Yui's tone was as neutral as always, but they could feel the weight of her words.
"Anyway, that was rude, You all should apologize." Izuku was rubbing his eyes, this was bad.
"For what? Telling the truth?" Katsumi was too stubborn to admit she was wrong.
"You guys went too far, he is our friend." Uraraka was looking at Katsumi with a frown on her face.
"We know each other for three days, and I only said a few words to him since we only interact in the cafeteria. He is not my friend, and we better pops his little bubble before he kills someone with that mindset." Reiko's tone was cold, they weren't that close to being called friends.
"I think is better we all go home to cool our heads, I am not in the mood to go to the arcade anymore." Neito then starts walking home.
"I agree, we talk later." Katsumi then starts walking beside Neito and both were talking on their way home.
"Melissa? Can we spar today?" Itsuka needed to relieve some stress.
"Sure, I need that too." They then went to Kendo Dojo.
"I will go work on my babies, see you guys later!" Mei went to her home to work.
"See you later Izuku." Yui just nods to everyone before leaving.
"Since arcade is canceled as our classes, I will go shopping. Bye!" Setsuna leaves for the mall.
"I will check Iida later, bye guys." Uraraka left quickly.
"I guess with a group as big as this, we are bound to have some problems." Juzo was looking at Izuku as if trying to comfort him. "We talk more tomorrow, just let them have a moment to think." Juzo then left to go home.
Izuku sent a message to Inasa so he would know the arcade was canceled, so he didn't have to go there after school.
"I recognize my mistake, I could have said better, but the message was the same." Reiko was looking at Izuku, she was sure he would be bothered by this.
"They just need time, I will be going now. I hope we can still play later." Shoto starts walking, leaving only Izuku and Reiko behind.
"My first day as class representant, and I already have to solve problems between classes." Izuku rubbed his eyes once again.
"Sorry about that, want to go grab a hamburger? My treat!" She felt bad for this being his first work as the class representative.
"Sounds good, let's go!" Izuku didn't have time to eat since the situation at the cafeteria, but he was interrupted.
"Midoriya! Yanagi!" Momo called while walking to them.
"Hey, Yaoyorozu!" He waved at her while Reiko just nods.
"Are you free right now? I would like to talk about something in your quirk that got my attention." She asked politely, but after seeing his friends leaving, she had to try to approach him again.
"Actually we are leaving." Reiko was looking at the girl as if analyzing.
"Sorry Yaoyorozu, maybe tomorrow?" He said rubbing the back of his head.
"Oh? Sure, sorry for not asking before." She then sees Izuku leaving while talking with Reiko. 'What the hell? That girl will ruin my plans, I must do something about it.'
Momo then called her driver, she would have to use their position in class to her advantage.
'He voted for me, that means he trust me right?'
Let's end here, this chapter is a preparation for the invasion of UA. Before someone asks, no, Iida won't take Izuku's place as the class representative. That is something that bothers me in canon, Izuku wants to be the next symbol of peace, but he gave up a position of leadership and responsibility? Sorry for those that like Iida, but the boy will have to deal with some things. See you all next time
