Man, compared to your recent adventures, Vale sure was boring. Then again, you were comparing it to a beachside town where you just had an orgy, plus a few extra exciting days with RWBY. Oh, well. At least there was a festival going on! Part of the whole Vytal Festival was… well, the festival! The entire world was represented as you and RWBY walk through town, admiring the different stalls and booths, plus all the new people around. Man, woman, Faunus, people from all over the globe were wandering with you.
Basically, everything was exciting. RWBY especially. Very soon, the tournament would start, and while you and your team weren't exactly pushovers, Team RWBY was a cut above everyone else. If not for Pyrrha, pretty much everybody would put money down on them winning the First Year category, at least out of the Beacon entries. You've never seen what kind of monsters they have at Shade or Haven. Weiss is damn impressive, but you feel she's a little better than average compared to other Atlas students as a result of her grooming. Ruby, Blake, and Yang were better than average, too. Not that you're biased or anything, of course. Sure, you had them all weak in the knees a fair few times, but those specific skills aren't meant for the battlefield. You doubt Weiss was going to pull out that Krakyn mid-fight just based on the feelings it'd remind her of.
The bad thing about all this is that things were going to get a lot busier. Once the tourney starts, there's not going to be too many opportunities to fool around; RWBY has plenty of stamina to spare, but it's a bad idea to waste it on a quick lay right before a fight. So, today was pretty much the last day of freedom before the plot kicked off, so to speak. That means one last big date with everybody!
Realizing you've been lost in thought, you remember where you're currently at. You watch RWBY be lost in thought, Ruby especially. You all decided to do one thing each for your last free day, and you started with Ruby's wish of checking out a weapons shop. Weiss was picking through Dust while Blake and Yang checked on parts, but this is Ruby's element; the redhead constantly flits between the various display cases accompanied by a burst of rose petals. You watch your girlfriend blather on about rifling, bullet drop, integrity, basically everything one could possibly conceive about weapon modification.
Crescent Rose was the result of an ever-changing array of parts that Ruby rebuilt several times a week. You've spent hours admiring her as she worked, working her fingers over the pieces with minute detail. One more twist, one more screw, one more sharpening. It was incredible to watch Ruby, usually a bit of an unfocused ditz, dedicate her entire thought process to possibly increasing her combat efficiency by half of a percent. Most of the time, she didn't even need to practice with her modified weapon; she just KNEW the exact effect the change would have on her scythe. Everyone else took at least a few swings to really know notice the difference.
Of the four girls you've dated, you'd probably say that Ruby changed the most. Before, she was a fish out of water, too early to come to Beacon, but now, she was in the top 5 in your class in combat skills, and a… ahem, fully grown woman. While she's never lost that childish side of her, it only accentuated the parts of her personality that completely invert them. Ruby was a full-blown exhibitionist that loved showing off her figure to the world, while also being the girl that ate too many lollipops, while also also tearing through Grimm.
After a long while, a bag of new mods in tow, Ruby leads you to your next destination. Weiss' choice was, unsurprisingly, a coffee shop. Arguably, THE coffee shop. After all, it was the one you went to with Weiss, two weeks into the semester. To think, an attempted mugger cornering you and Weiss in an alley spiraled down into this path of debauchery and polyamory. If that crazy guy hadn't pulled a knife on you two, Weiss wouldn't have hurt her ankle, you wouldn't have had to play hero and bridal carry her to the coffee shop, you wouldn't have accidentally asked her out, and that wouldn't have turned into a nude beach trip with tentacle sex. Really, your entire relationship can be traced back to some mediocre coffee cake.
Weiss was a lot different back then, though. She was still gorgeous, but a lot less… well, almost everything positive. Most notably, she was… yeah, she was pretty racist; it was systematic, but her opinions on the Faunus were less-than-positive to say the least, putting her at odds with Blake. She also thought herself far better than Ruby at being a leader, believing that an heiress deserved the title more than a childish brat. She ALSO also low key thought Yang was a slut. Heck, she wanted you to buy her food when she's a billionaire.
Wow, you really dated her knowing all that, huh?
Well, at least you can say you helped turn her around. Weiss is a completely different person from who she was, all for the better. She understands the plight of the Faunus and their actions, she accepts that she's not, nor ever will be, perfect, and the Gods know just how much Current-Weiss would make Past-Weiss blush. She had changed quite a bit in that sense since you've met her; she now was a total pervert behind closed doors, and willing to take her legacy and use it for her own deviant ideas. She planned an entire trip for the sole purpose of using her legacy Semblance to pleasure her partners in a giant orgy. The personality shift also got rid of the discrimination, the uptightness, and basically all the other negatives Weiss had when you first met her. Now she was a kindhearted sex fiend.
For whatever reason, maybe the company, maybe the day, the coffee cake at the once-mediocre shop was good today. Something about it was just different shared between five people who loved each other. Now filled up on sweets and drinks, the day moved towards Blake's choice of venue; surprising no one, it was a book store. You'd taken many trips to this place over the past few months, each time learning more about whatever obscure topic or story Blake was chasing. Romance, "romance," thrillers, horror, even a guidebook at one point, Blake's thirst for knowledge and narrative was unquenchable.
Much like her interests, Blake only got more complex as her pages unfolded. Though it's nigh-unthinkable now, Blake was the quiet, mysterious type that rarely said a thing when you first met. She was simply polite, a bit sarcastic, and prone to accidentally revealing that she reads smut. As you experienced her story firsthand, you found the determined activist with the mother of all backstories, the beauty and beast that lay beneath the surface.
Heck, even finding out that Blake was a Faunus in the first place was a revelation; said revelation came with a scar on your shoulder and what eventually would make Blake fall in love/lust with you. A run-in with the now reformed Ilia led to you taking a hit for Blake, which led to her revealing her ears, and the subsequent breakdown prompted you to put on Lucky the Cat so Blake could calm down. For the holidays, you got her the Lucky plushy, showing how much you cared for her. From there, a combination of her feelings of security around you, Faunus heat cycles, and some wires crossing meant that Blake's feelings for you were *strong,* with both physical and emotional attraction getting filtered through the Faunus desire to seek a partner.
Which, apparently, Weiss was cool with.
So, you and Blake got together, with Weiss happily in the middle. The story continued from there. Blake opened up, moved past her issues with Weiss, and then things continued to spiral into what it is now. If anything, she loves her situation more than any of you, as it allows her to act out all sorts of fantasies she reads about.
After some browsing, you all went in to finish your day… well, actually, Yang just wanted to chill. Rather than some front row seats to a local boxing match or hitting up a club, Yang wanted to simply hang in the dorms and play some video games with her partners. That was Yang, and that is what you love about her; anyone looking from the outside would immediately have assumed Yang's day would involve partying at some club, hitting up a bar, or finding any excuse to dress in skimpy clothes. But that wasn't Yang. Well, that is, but also not. While she had definitely changed the least out of the four girls, it was your perception of her that changed.
Yang was a collection of interesting, seemingly contradictory elements that one needs to actually look at to understand who she is. While yes, she is a busty blonde that enjoys partying, the occasional drink, and oozes sex appeal, that was just part of her. What's easy to miss is her motherly side; Yang was a soft, kind, nurturing woman as much as she is a powerhouse in the ring. She effectively raised Ruby from infancy, yet on the surface, people tend to notice her hair and figure before her nature.
While yes, Yang did enjoy the stereotypically dumb-blonde things, she also enjoyed a quiet night with the people she loved, getting angry at video games. She liked mindless club music as much as introspective deconstructed versions of it. She liked wearing pretty dresses with low necklines and high heels as much as t-shirts and boots. She liked soft, loving romance and hard, exciting lust. Really, just a series of contradictions nobody would expect from looking at her cleavage. "Yang," was a woman that could exist above and below and surface. And yeah, that was all there from the beginning; it just took a while to see it. It's just a convenience that surface-level Yang was as great a person to be around as the below version.
The other thing you live about Yang… well, you love a lot about all of the girls, but Yang was really the one that started this whole mess. While a myriad of factors went into everything in your complicated relationship, Yang was the main reason you wound up with RWBY; grasping at Ruby's loose connections to people, Yang was the one that sought you out to help Ruby break out of her shell. Heck, she even phrased it as if you were dating. That led to Weiss, and Yang's trolling led to Weiss kissing you on your second date, which sped that relationship along. Fast forward, and now you're getting your ass beat in a video game by a blonde that loves you.
It's a weird relationship, but it's a good one. There are just so many things to love about your partners, even if you ignore the obvious extra benefits four women with various sexual interests bring to the table. You've been alongside them for so long, too, watching them become better people. Ruby became a confident young woman, Weiss rescinded her negative views on her perfectionism and treatment of Faunus, Blake learned to not shoulder everything herself, and Yang gained a direction to point her otherwise aimless thrill-seeking in.
Hopefully, the tournament doesn't make things too busy around here.
