"How's it going there Kens?" Callen asked as he joined her in the shooting range.
"Ohhh, look who finally decided to show up to work." Kensi teased. "Where you been? Late night lady friend?" she asked.
Callen looked at Kensi a bit confused. "Sam and I were finishing that undercover gang case in Reseda."
Kensi reloaded her Sig and looked up at Callen for a moment before laughing. "Right. Duh." She said as she clicked her magazine in.
Callen gave her a considering look for a moment before moving on.
"Sooo." Callen said. "You up for a little game of horse?"
"Yea?" Kensi asked.
"Load up. That is. Unless you're scared."
"Yeah right." Kensi smiled as she cocked her gun and Callen got his gear ready.
"Ladies first." Callen said gesturing to Kensi to make a shot.
Kensi laughed. "No, no. Age before beauty." She said smiling.
Callen chuckled. "Alright. But no whining when I smoke ya."
Kensi snorted.
"Alright, here we go." Callen said as he got into position. "Behind the back, no look, double tap, center mass." Callen called out his shot before he pulled the trigger, making his mark.
Later that afternoon, Callen approached Hetty's desk. He took a moment to consider his thoughts before he was ready to speak. Hetty stared him down waiting for a while before asking him, "Can I help you Mr. Callen?" Callen took that as an invitation to sit.
After several more moments of silence, he spoke. "I'm worried about Kensi." Callen told Hetty.
"Anything… in particular?" Hetty asked fishing for details.
"We were in the shooting range earlier. And she completely missed the target."
"Are you concerned she is still having adverse side effects from her injuries?"
"I don't know. I just know that I've never seen Kensi Blye miss a shot like that. That and she's been….. Forgetful lately."
Hetty let out a quiet sigh. "I have also noticed some changes in Agent Blye." she said, nodding her head slowly. "Thank you for letting me know, Mr. Callen. I will look into it."
