'The Future Belongs To Those Who Give The Next Generation Reason For Hope.'
Luke and Leia had been travelling for some time now, they had no real lead to where there mother was or how to get there but the pair refused to give up, and they both had a feeling that Padme and Ben were still alive and okay, they were confused though. After seeing that they were running low on fuel and supplies they had to land straight on the planet closest to them...for them that planet was Tattooine, their home planet, where they were once nobodies and now they were from royal blood, from Jedi blood, raised through their teenage years by a queen and a senator of Alderaan, their lives had changed so quickly that it was even difficult for them to comprehend sometimes. They hadn't been back to Tattooine in 7 years and their last memories weren't exactly positive memories. It was so surreal for them.
Leia sat in the cockpit of their ship acting as Luke's Co-pilot. "Down there..." She said as they approached the surface, highlighting where they could land safely. "I don't recognized this part of the planet." Luke said as he carefully landed the ship, Leia looked onto the monitor, "That is because we are on the other side of the planet Luke, besides...how different can it look? It's just sand." She teased standing up and grabbing her head scarf to protect her from the heat of the planet, before walking off the ship. "Stay with the ship R2." Luke said walking with her off the ship as their droid went to come with them. "So, what's the plan?" Leia asked Luke as they walked side by side walking towards a town, a little bigger than the one they were used to as children. "We get what we need and we leave, we can't afford time wasting." Luke said simply keeping her close, knowing they were always to protect each other. Leia nodded as they entered the beginning of the busy Tattooine markets, "You think we have time to stop for a refreshment? I'm parched." She said simply knowing they hadn't eaten or drank so much since leaving, Luke sighed looking to her, "A quick one." he said looking to her, Leia smiled, "Looks like we're in Luck...there is a Cantina over there." She said with a cheeky grin before walking ahead of him, towards the Mos Eisley Cantina.
Walking in first Leia looked to different species around her, looked to the band who were playing up beat music, fights in the corner, table games and just people getting drunk. Feeling Luke come up beside her, "Seems...Lively." She said simply to him, "Lets just grab a drink and leave.." He said obviously not too impressed with the idea before walking straight to the bar, Leia holding back a little as she took in the surroundings. Luke had ordered their non alcoholic drinks to rehydrate a little, thanking him she took a sip and noticed she had quite quickly gotten unwanted attention, before noticing she was the only female in there. Rolling her eyes she stayed close to Luke, "This place gives me the creeps." She said softly too him, "Well you chose it." Luke added with a grin, she scoffed and rolled her eyes, "You were the one who wanted to be quick...this was the closest one." She added back not taking her brother's comments. "I'll be right back.." Luke said standing up, to use the men's room. It wasn't even a second after before she was getting unwanted attention of the creepy drunk aliens at the bar. "They bothering you miss?" A male voice came up from behind her, Leia's eyebrows arched as she turned to him, "I'm fine." She added very stubborn, "Yeah...looks like it." He said sarcastically, "Go on get outta here." He said shoving the aliens away from her before sitting down next to her at the bar. Leia was quite uncomfortable so turned her attention on anything else but him as she finished her drink, but couldn't help but feel his stares on her, after a moment she sighed before turning to her. "I'm sorry is there something you want from me?" She asked obviously not to impressed with his ways, The guy smirked which she really didn't like, yet felt attracted too. "Not at all...just curious really." He said simply sipping on his own drink with a smirk. "About what exactly?" Leia asked back, still with her standoffish attitude. "Curious about what a girl like you is doing in a place like this?" He said looking to her, the same smug grin never leaving his lips, eyebrows arching once more she narrowed her eyes unimpressed with this man, "A girl like me?!" She asked almost offended, "Well you know...you're clearly not from around here, and if you haven't noticed lady you don't actually match the criteria." He said with his cool guy smirk, it just infuriated her. "Doesn't help that you're alone...so what is it you're after?" He asked once more finishing his drink again, Leia was not having his cocky ways. "You can wipe that smug look of your face because if you too haven't noticed you don't particularly fit the criteria either!" She said bluntly referring to him being the only other human here apart from her and Luke, "And I'm not alone...and what I am after has absolutely nothing to do with you, so if you don't mind you can leave me alone now." She said turning away from him, the man just smirked "Whatever you say...lady." She rolled her eyes once more, "And don't call me lady! My name is Leia!" She said bluntly once more not even thinking. "Alright...Leia, it's nice to meet you, I'm Han...Han Solo." He said offering his hand with a grin, Leia refused his hand. "I'm not here to make friends Mr Solo, now if you don't mind I will be on my way!" She said standing up seeing Luke coming back over. "Everything okay?" Luke asked concerned seeing the guy with his sister, "Yes...let's just get what we need and leave." Leia said softly going to leave, "You're after a ship?" Han called out as they went to walk back, Leia stopped in her track with Luke and sighed, "We have a ship." She said simply, causing Han to laugh, "What? That piece of tin you landed on the west?" Han said with a smirk standing up and walking in front of the pair, "Hate to say it lady but you and your boyfriends ship will be nothing but money earning parts for the locals, wouldn't surprise me if they've already had a go at it, Alderaanian metal will go nicely with the villagers." He smirked to her, his arrogance annoying her so much, that and the fact that he had called Luke her boyfriend made her feel a little queasy. Storming outside in a huff she went to check the ship seeing that he was in fact correct, which also bothered her, rolling her eyes as Luke came out too looking disappointed, "What are we going to do now?" Leia asked him, Luke shrugged, "I'm sure we could get something flyable for a decent price around here somewhere..." He said simply, Han coming out of the cantina and behind them with a grin, "I stand by my word, you need a ship...and I just happen to have one of the best ships in the galaxy, might even be willing to offer my service...for a good enough price." He said with a grin, not realising just how close he would become with these people. "We don't need your help!" She said shrugging him off focusing back on Luke, "Leia...he's offering us a ship...maybe its not such a bad idea." Luke said with his main focus always being saving his mother. "Are you crazy, we don't know the guy!" Leia said back at her brothers naivety. "I'm just gonna let you two discuss things...I'll be right over here.." Han added with a grin heading over to a corner by a market whilst they spoke. Luke sighed watching him, "What is the worst that can happen?" Luke said genuinely not getting a bad feeling from him, "Are you serious? He could be a super murderer for all you know...he doesn't want to help us, he just wants money and saw us as a perfect opportunity." Leia responded clearly not liking the idea. "And that is bad why? It's not like we don't have the money Leia, besides...maybe he knows more about the empire and we can find mom quicker..." Luke said trying to convince her, "If it goes wrong I'll take full responsibility." Luke promised, causing Leia to roll her eyes and sigh. "Fine...but he's your responsibility." She said storming away. Luke sighed watching her walk back to their original ship to get R2. "Sorry about her...she can be a little stubborn sometimes." Luke said walking up to Han. "I've dealt with worse...I like her though." He said with a smirk, "I'm Luke...Luke S-" Luke paused for a second, "Luke Organa." he said before offering him his hand. "Han Solo." Han responded shaking his hand, "So...you've got a ship?" Luke asked which made Han smirk once more.
"You don't fit in here...oh I know what you need Lady...you need a ship...I have the best ship in the galaxy blah blah blah..." Leia said in frustration as she mocked Han annoyed she was now going to be accompanied by his arrogance, the 18 year old walked towards the old ship seeing R2 being jabbed by locals sand people, "Hey!" She yelled running over kicking them off him, "Get out of here!" she said once more before bending down to R2 brushing him down from the dirt. "You alright?" she asked him as R2 responded, she smiled to him, "We have to change ship...what's left of this one is no good anymore, come on...but I have to warn you the new guy is kinda intolerable." She said sarcastically walking back to Luke and Han with R2.
"Padme...Padme are you alright?" she heard the voice of Obi Wan in her mind, they had connected so well through the force over the years now it was nothing new to her. Although, it was still such a strange concept, however she was no where near as powerful as the rest. Sitting up on the bench she had been sleeping on in Vader's quarters she rubbed her eyes before nodding, "I'm alright...are you? Where have they taken you?" She asked softly worried for him. "I'm okay, they've locked in me the cells...for how long I'm not sure." Obi Wan responded not really knowing how many days they had been there for now. "I'm in Vader's quarters, he wants me to join him...like he did on Mustafar." She said knowing the past few days all Vader had tried to get her to do was join her, but she would not entertain him which just caused his frustration and to lash out, not on her though. "Don't give into him Padme, I will figure away out of this." He said simply. "I won't...he's here.." She said quickly to let him know they couldn't talk anymore, "Talking to someone?" Vader asked suspiciously as he walked into his quarters closing the door behind him, Padme stay sitting on the bench that was 10 feet away from him. "Do you hallucinate often Lord Vader?" She asked him harshly, yet calmly and soothing, folding her arms. "You've changed..." was all he responded with obviously not liking it. "It's been 18 years...Its normal." She said not in the mood to talk, she just wanted to go home, it was evident to her now that she was not getting her Ani back. "You're...crueler...that is not you." he said simply sitting down on the bed opposite her. "Nor is it you." She said simply, bluntly, much like Leia. "You're attempt to bring me back to the light is proving unsuccessful senator...I told you! Anakin is dead...!" He said in frustration at her sneaky attempts, "Then I will avenge my husband's death!" was all she said before laying back down and turning her back to him quite clearly not in the mood, she was tired, hungry, she needed to shower, she was just all round frustrated. "You will try." He hissed before leaving once more.
Leia had met back up with the two men and now a wookie, "Great we've a walking carpet joining us too?!" She asked with an eyeroll and an unimpressed looking, R2 making a sound to agree with Leia jokingly. "HEY!" Han said offended, "I'll have you know this walking carpet is a great friend of mine...and he has feelings too!" he said standing up for her as they stood face to face. "Just tell your giant fluff ball to stay out of my way!" She said simply walking off again, "Is she always like this?" Han asked to Luke placing his hands on his hips, unimpressed with a confused expression on his face, as if he was almost regretting it. "Only with people she likes..." Luke teased knowing Leia would kill him for that later, he sensed his sister's attraction to Han and it made him chuckle. Walking to follow her to the ship Han had pointed at, they climbed aboard, Leia already sitting in the pilot's chair, "I know she's a pain in the ass but its only for a little while Chewie, we'll get good money from this." Han whispered as they also walked aboard his ship, Chewbacca growled at him "Hey! Don't give me that...I know what I'm doing..." He said simple, "..I think." He added scratching the back of his head walking ahead to the cockpit where Leia was sat, Luke standing in the back. "No way Lady...only I pilot this ship." Han said adamant that she was not taking charge in his own ship. Leia sighed and rolled her eyes turning to him, "Fine...your control systems are about a thousand years old anyway, I'm not used to such ancient technology." She said standing up to once more be face to face with Han. Luke leaned against the back wall sighing but finding this rather entertaining, Chewie looking to Luke shrugging, the pair of them knew that both Han and Leia had just me their soul mates, but they were so similar and so stubborn it was going to be such a long trip. "I'll have you know that this is the Millennium Falcon, and is far better than whatever junk you showed up in!" Leia crossed her arms with a sarcastic look on her face, "Oh really? Well lets just see if this 'Millennium Falcon' lives up to your expectations, although I'm not holding out on much hope." She said scalding him, Han had never met anyone like this in his life, but he kinda liked it, not many people gave it back to him. "Lose the attitude Lady, otherwise you'll be finding your own way outta of this place." He warned her, pointing to her, Leia knocked his finger from her face, "Don't you point that finger at me! I suggest you do as we say...if you want your money!" She said storming off out of the cockpit. Han sighed slumping in her chair, "This is going to be a longggg trip." He said sarcastically starting up his ship, Luke laughed to himself slightly as they all sat down.
This was just the beginning
of Han and Leia.
