R & R longer note at the end

The white haired girl walked ahead katana gripped in her hand as the younger girl followed behind looking around, they had been summoned to deal with a Yōma incursion at local disused hot springs hotel there had been a plan to renovate the building the two stopped as they reached a branch in the path through the hallways.

"Which way Miyabi?" the smaller brunette asked the other shinobi as she looked down the left path, Miyabi looked to the right as she considered their options she could feel the presence of something down both paths as she wondered which would be the least dangerous remembering her promise to the Yumi the leader of Gessen.

"You take the left path Minori" Miyabi suggested as she turned to face the girl who clutched her small blue bucket weapon tighter "I'll go down the right, stay low and quiet if things seem to get out of hand then head for the exit". Minori nodded as she peered down the left once more, she had been concerned when she had found out she was assigned to the mission however a wave of relief had crossed over her learning she would be partnered with Hebijo's elite leader Miyabi.

Her friend and leader Yumi had been concerned however as Miyabi had turned up to collect the less experienced shinobi she had made the white haired girl promise to keep her safe, Minori had felt annoyed as she had left ahead of the other girl once again her team had been treating her like a child.

"I'll be fine" Minori said as she headed down the left, Miyabi could hear a slight annoyed tone behind her words as she sighed heading to the right.

Minori continued down the hallway checking the empty rooms as she went, she couldn't deny she admired the white haired girl but once again she was being treated like a child, she was as much a shinobi as they were now she would have her chance to prove it.

She stopped as she strained her ears hearing nothing as she continued to move, the presence she had felt seemed to have disappeared she looked around for any signs it could have escaped as she stopped once more looking over her shoulder wondering if Miyabi was ok.

Checking a few more rooms she stopped as her ears perked up, she looked over her shoulder as she heard the sounds of fighting her blood began to run cold as fear took her over, the sounds where coming from the direction her ally had gone down. Shaking her head, she gripped her weapon tighter as she summoned up her courage heading towards the sound hoping she would reach the other girl in time to provide back up.

Miyabi jumped backwards as spider like Yōma began to swarm towards her, as she cut them down she looked through the many creatures noticing a larger one at the back, her eyes locked on it realising this was the real target concentrating hard she coated her blade in a black flame as she took out more of the creatures around her.

"Secret ninja art: delightful inferno" Miyabi called out as she charged forwards slicing everything in her path as the smaller Yōma's bodies burned up she sent one final slash as she sheathed her sword the large spider like Yōma's body combusted as the slash exploded the creature's body. The grey ashes off the Yōma's body floated on the air like dust as Miyabi looked on, turning away she breathed a sigh of relief coughing a little from the ash as she headed towards her partner for the mission.

"Miyabi!" Minori called out as she got closer, Miyabi's yellow cat like eyes locked on the other girl as she allowed a small smile to cross her lips realising the other was safe. As the other girl got closer she noticed something was off, the white haired girl seemed to be swaying as Miyabi felt a sudden wave of exhaustion crashed over her falling forwards onto the other girl, the sudden movement caused them both to fall to the ground.

"Miyabi, are you ok?" Minori asked trying to push the other girl off so she could sit up, Miyabi looked at her with a sleepy smile as she wrapped her arms around the girl's waist feeling the other shiver from the sudden movement.

"I'm fine Minori" Miyabi asked yawning as she laid her head on the other girl's shoulder not showing any signs of getting up "I must have used up a lot of energy, just stay still, you make a comfy pillow I'll just take a little nap then we'll go". Minori continued to try to move the other girl to no avail as the white haired girl leaned over the brown haired girl felt something soft and wet against her cheek as she blushed a little.

"M-Miyabi, did you just k-kiss me?" Minori asked as the other girl pressed her face into the girl's neck her slow breathing tickled her as she looked to the side seeing the white haired girl softly sleeping. Minori laid there unable to move as she continued to look around hoping the last of the Yōma had been dealt with as she tried to come up with a way to escape the sleeping shinobi's clutches.

Boom, completely out of nowhere ship this time Minori X Miyabi and this is also because I've been kind of unfair towards Minori in other stories so I decided to be a little nicer to her with this, there will be another story that I do her justice in won't be a Miyabi ship that time but we'll see

Anyway three chapters in and I wonder if anyone is close to learning the patterns yet, the writing is there maybe I was a little subtle with them but I believe in you all to eventually work them out and once again if you do then the DMs are always open for your guesses
