R & R longer note at the end

The two shinobi wondered through the abandoned village looking around seeing signs of a recent fight, reports had come through of a Yōma sighting after numerous failed attempts to locate and exterminate the creature it had been declared two stronger shinobi would be sent to a possible location of the creature and quickly exterminate it.

"I feel like it wasn't worth me coming along" the brunette said as she looked around seeing the destroyed buildings as they passed "I'm sure you could handle it alone Naraku".

"Orders were for two, Lady Kagura also said this would be good experience" the green haired girl called Naraku said turning to her brunette companion "Stay alert Asuka, this thing has taken down numerous shinobi already". Asuka nodded as she looked around her short swords clutched in her hands, Naraku let her senses take over as they reached a branching path as the two stopped looking around.

"I think we should split up" Asuka suggested as Naraku looked toward her "I know this thing has taken out numerous shinobi but it would help to cover more ground". The green haired girl nodded after a few moments as she took the left path keeping her senses on high alert as Asuka took her path to the right, neither one knew what to truly expect but where confident that they could handle anything that came at them.

Naraku stopped as she reached a wide open area, stood before her was a small broken fountain the same claw marks could be seen gouged into the once concreate floor the girl couldn't understand why she hadn't heard any signs of movement. She turned to look back towards the split path wondering if Asuka had found anything when she quickly turned around summoning her flail spinning it into the incoming creature.

A large howl rang out as the metallic ball slammed into the large body of the Yōma as it slammed into a small house causing the building to crumble around it, landing on her feet Naraku hopped around waiting for the creature to recover as she watched the bricks begin to fall down as the Yōma got back up its six arms clutching daggers as it's black eyes turned towards the shinobi who continued to wait watching the creature's movements closely. With a large roar the creature charged the green haired girl once more as she continued to wait summoning her flails as the creature got closer swiping its daggers she jumped back allowing her flail's to shoot in front of her as the sound of metal on metal rang out.

Quickly changing direction Naraku brought her flails to the side colliding with the creature once more crushing on of its many arms as it cried out once more rushing back as blood pooled from its removed arm, pressing the advantage the green haired girl ran forwards concealing her flails as she jumped into the air flipping as she summoned her flails once more crashing them down on the creature as it lost another arm.

With another howl the Yōma began to retreat heading down towards the branch in the path, quickly realising the danger Naraku quickly gave chase hoping to reach the creature before an unsuspecting Asuka got ambushed.

Asuka charged back towards the intersection the two shinobi had split up on hearing the repeated sounds of roars and battle she waited looking around as she heard the sounds of something coming from the direction Naraku had taken, noting the heaviness of the footsteps she could tell whatever was coming wasn't human.

"Secret ninja art: Hanzō-Style Full Bloom" Asuka called out, her short swords held at her sides as a greenish glow appeared she waited seeing the wounded creature getting closer as she charged forwards slashing the Yōma repeatedly removing its other arms flipping backwards she slammed her blades into the ground as sharp rocks shot forwards piercing the creatures body as a black tar shot out catching Asuka as she landed.

Naraku slid to a halt seeing the creature's fallen body as her pink eyes scanned the area spotting Asuka wiping black tar off herself as she approached wondering if the girl was injured.

"Are you ok?" Naraku asked as she approached seeing the brunette smile at her nodding "Good job finishing it off".

"Well it does take someone more skilled to kill it I guess" Asuka said with a smirk as Naraku looked over "Guess I shouldn't have been worried, I could have just done this alone since you weren't much use in the end. After beating such a weakling like that maybe I should accept all the other requests and just take them on, come to think of it, I think going back to the shrine is a good idea so I can go and defeat Kagura in a fight". The green haired girl slowly walked over curious on what was going on, the brunette continued to grin stood in front of her looking into Asuka's hazel eyes.

"Something wrong or are you curious about what the eyes of your better looks like" Asuka said as she returned her blades to their sheaths "Feel free to continue looking, you can examine my amazing talent up close next time if you're a little faster on getting here".

"That Yōma did something to you" Naraku said as she pulled back heading away "Let's head back to the shrine so Lady Kagura can check you over and hopefully reverse whatever this thing d…" The rest of Naraku's sentence was cut off as her eyes widened in surprise feeling a softness against her lips as she realised the brunette had kissed her.

"Since you were taking so long to actually make a move I thought it best for me to do so instead" Asuka said with another smile as she pushed the green haired girl against a tree "You're not a bad kisser but you have room for improvement, let's try again shall we". Asuka leaned in once more kissing a surprised Naraku who felt herself kissing back wanting to get this over with so she could hurry back to the shrine and fix this mess the two found themselves in.

Little pride can't hurt but maybe Asuka shouldn't have been quick to say she could take Kagura in a fight but I'm sure Naraku enjoyed the kiss so much she wouldn't possibly say anything to Kagura...right?

Anyway I'm sure she'll be fine but we might want to get some flowers for Asuka's funeral but for now we'll move onto the next chapter soon enough, thanks for reading and see you in the next chapter
