Story plot: It has been ten years since the birth of Leia Amidala (Secretly Skywalker). A/N: I do not own any of the characters or the plots of star wars! I hope you enjoy and would love to hear your reviews!

Do not worry - Luke will be in this story, I am just introducing him in a different way! I have great plans for this story, I think you will all love it.

9 BBY - Scarif.

The city of Scarif was the place affected most, not because the conflict had taken place there but because their supplies had been shortened as a result of the conflict, which left many homeless. Padme had gotten stuck right in, ensuring that those who were hungry had food, those who needed medical attention were attended too and those who had needed shelter and found shelter. Anakin helped restore some buildings, helped fix broken supplies, machinery that supported living in the city, and worked alongside some of the leaders to discuss security matters. Leia watched as both her parents stepped in action, they were such a natural at their jobs, she aspired to be like them but she knew she wouldn't ever be able to come close. Seeing an elderly woman on the floor, cold and looking hungry, Leia went to go grab her a blanket and some bread and other food supplies, "Here, wrap this around yourself." She said softly, helping her, "Thank you, thank you sweet child." The woman said with shaking hands, "Are you hungry?" Leia asked, handing her the food. The woman nodded but struggled to feed herself, "Let me help you." She said softly, feeding her gently. Both Anakin and Padme had looked up and watched, unable to wipe their smiles from their faces. She made them so proud.

After some time, Leia had gotten into it and felt such a great sense of pride from helping them, it felt so good. She hadn't wandered too far and made sure she could see her parents at all times, but she was quite a distance from them. As she was helping someone else she heard a voice, "That's a fine necklace you've got there girl!" He said simply, Leia turned around and saw a group of young men, rough looking young men, clearly thieves and criminals, swallowing hard she clenched her jaw. "It is mine." She said simply. "Give it to me, before I take it." He warned her, his voice scary as he pulled out a pocket knife. Though that still didn't scare her, "No." She said firmly. "You do not scare me!" She said again, standing her ground - oh how she was exactly like her parents. Her attitude bothered the men though, "You're coming with me!" He said, grabbing her arm and dragging her off, "Hey! Get your stinking hands off me!" she said squirming in his arms, "Shut it child!" He said again, moving his hand to her mouth to stop her from screaming as they walked away, with her. Padme looked up and saw and was in complete shock, "Leia!" She yelled in panic, "Anakin!" She yelled again, Anakin looked up and saw before seeing red and running straight over. "Let me go!" Leia yelled a muffled yell before biting down so hard on his finger, causing her to drop to the ground, letting out a squeal as she banged her head, which caused it to bleed slightly, but nothing too serious. "That's it! Give me that necklace." The man said seriously annoyed now, grabbing his knife and bending down over her, Leia once more kicked out and got him in the nose, she was feisty and she wouldn't go down without a fight, before she heard the sound of a lightsaber. She always knew her father would protect her, though sometimes his anger scared her, right now he was furious. "If you ever lay your hands on her again, I will be forced to do things no Jedi should do. Run." Anakin said firmly, standing strong, his lit lightsaber firmly in hand, his fist clenched. "A Jedi, Run!" The men scrambled, before he instantly bent down to his daughter, "I've got you." He said pulling her in his arms, Leia held onto him tightly, burying her face in his neck. "Those men were scary." She whispered out, trembling slightly. Padme had always told her, no matter how scared she was, to never show the enemy, so now that she was in the comfort of her father's arms, she was allowed to be scared. "I will never let anything happen to you Leia, I promise." He told her softly, holding her tightly, though he continued to watch the men run further into the distance with a menacing glare. Padme ran over, "My baby." She said pulling Leia into her arms from Anakin's, "You are bleeding, are you hurt? What did they do to you?" She asked in a panic, checking over Leia, "You have a bump." She said, looking at her head. "I think I did more damage to him momma." She said with a small smile, Anakin smiled proudly slightly watching his wife comfort their daughter. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have let you go alone." Padme said again, pulling her into a hug. "It's okay, I went too far." Leia whispered. "Let's get you cleaned up." She said, standing up and carrying her daughter, though she was heavy, Padme didn't care at this point, her daughter was her priority.

Back on the ship, they watched as the medical droid attended to Leia, before Anakin walked into a different room needing a second. Padme knew exactly what was going through his mind and followed, "Ani…" She whispered, "Do not allow this to darken your mind." she said softly, standing slightly behind him. He clenched his jaw, he still struggled with the darkness, he had ever since his mother was killed. "I wanted to hurt them, Padme, kill them…" He said simply, knowing he was safe to open up to her, "But you didn't and that shows your strength, your resilience, it proves even more that you are a great Jedi." She said softly, before he turned to face her. "I don't care about being a great Jedi, If I was a second later, they would have…" He paused, unable to say the words, the thought of something happening to Leia made him sick to the stomach. "You weren't a second later…you have taught her well, she stood her ground and you got there. She is well, our daughter is well." She whispered, moving her hands to his chest, he leaned his forehead down against hers, "I can't bear the thought of losing her Padme, either of you." He whispered, closing his eyes as he held her close. "You will never lose us Anakin." She whispered, moving her hand to the back of his head.

Theed, Naboo.

They continued their duty on Scarif before calling it a day and heading back to Naboo, reporting to the queen and heading home. Anakin sat by Leia's bedside as she slept, he wouldn't be able to sleep knowing his daughter had a huge bump on her head. Her tiny hand rested in his and as he stroked it, he could sense she was okay, her vitals were fine and her life force was beaming, though it didn't stop him worrying though. He could feel Padme's presence behind him as she stood in the doorway watching him, "You should be resting Padme." He said softly, not to wake his daughter. He didn't even look at his wife as he was fixated on Leia, "As should you.." She whispered walking up behind him and moving her hands to his shoulders, her bump grazing his back slightly, he could feel the life force of his unborn child, it was so strong. "Come to bed Anakin." She begged slightly, "I cannot, what if something happens?" He asked worriedly, "Nothing will happen…she is fine. Please, come to bed and rest. Lola will inform us if she needs us." Anakin let out a soft sigh, looking at Leia's droid, giving her a look to say she better wake them if Leia needed him. "Fine." He said softly.

Laying in bed with his wife, he knew he wouldn't sleep but he had to ensure Padme rest too. She was close to 7 months after all. He attempted to sleep, but the second his mind began shutting off ever so slightly he could see terrible visions of Leia being taken from him, the pictures so clear in his mind, but then it happened. Something new, something he had never had before. His wife was in pain, crying, "Anakin, please! Help me." she begged him, he stirred in his light sleep, he broke out into a sweat before hearing the cries of a newborn and Padme's scream before shooting up and breathing heavily. He looked at his wife sleeping peacefully, before grabbing his nightgown and heading outside to sit by the lake. Leia had woken up after hearing the door open and followed him out, "Why are you sitting out here dad?" She asked curiously, rubbing her eyes, still a little sleepy, it was still dark out and the moon was shining bright across Naboo, it reflected beautifully in the lake. Anakin turned his head slightly, "What are you doing up, silly?" He asked, pulling her to sit between his legs and wrapping her up in his robe with him, knowing it was a bit chilly at night. "I heard you leave." She said softly resting against his chest, "I didn't mean to wake you, I just couldn't sleep." He said softly, his chin resting on top of her head as they looked out to the moonlit lake. Leia paused softly, "Your heart is beating fast, did you have a nightmare?" She asked looking up at him, she was so much like Padme and knew exactly how to get through to him. "It was just a dream, Leia." He said softly, reassuring her though it certainly did not feel like a dream. "I sometimes have nightmares too and they are definitely scary, but…that's all it is daddy. A nightmare, it's not real and when you wake up you will see all the reasons you do not need to be scared of a silly little nightmare. It's just our brain playing tricks on us and us Skywalkers are too smart to have tricks played on us." She chuckled, sending him a cheeky grin. That caused him to smile, she was the most perfect little thing. "You have no idea how much I love you Leia…" He whispered looking down at her. "As much as I love you." She smiled, before resting against him again and looking out at the lake, before eventually falling asleep in his arms. Anakin knew he had to put these thoughts aside, calming his breathing and relaxing, he had too much to lose if he let anything consume him and so that was exactly what he did, closed his mind off from the darkness and relaxed.
