Prompt: The family (or part of the family, or part of the Friends of Narnia) comes to watch one of Edmund's rugby games.

Okay, I am not a sporty person and even after watching rugby and reading articles on it, I hardly understand it at all, so hopefully this isn't too bad. :)

Edmund concentrated on the ball as he moved forward. Catching it smoothly, he passed it on to Franklin, who passed it on to John. John threw it back to Edmund. Edmund ran forward to the goal but was spun to the ground as opposing players piled on top of him. The ball was taken and the other team scored. Edmund rose, breathing hard. If they didn't win this, it would be over for this season.

He scanned the bleachers for his family. There they were. Peter was staring at him with a worried look on his face. Edmund shot him a thumbs up as he trotted back into position. He glanced back at Peter, who looked as if he wanted to tell him something. Peter made a swinging motion with his hand and pointed to his head, then his feet. Remember Narnian footplay? Edmund grinned and nodded. Rugby and swordfighting weren't similar in any way except in regard to footplay. Both required hard, fast movements and Edmund now threw those into his game.

He refocused on the ball as it was thrown into play. Eric passed it to Edmund and Edmund ran forward, spinning to the side to narrowly avoid a tackle, just like when he would sidestep a sword strike. He moved up, stepping forward and back, then to the side, just like in a feint.

He ran again, clutching the ball tightly to his chest. He was thrown down and one of his opponents landed on top of him. He knew more were coming. Edmund rolled out from underneath the first, grabbing the arm of another and pulling himself up, thinking of how Peter did the same, years ago, when their roles were reversed. Where he was the one cheering Peter on and Peter was the one in the fight – a fight to the death with Miraz.

Edmund sped across the field and passed the ball to a teammate just before he ran into a pair of defenders. The ball went up and down the line of players before coming back to Edmund. He focused on the field ahead. Two more defenders to pass and then it would be touchdown. Edmund smiled at the thought. A touchdown for Narnia.
