A/N : I saw a review about paragraphs in my writing. I would like to reassure you that I definitely do put them into my writing and it does make it clearer but for some reason when I save and upload, the format changes and does not make the paragraphs as clearer. I will try and fix the issue :) For now, please bear with me.
4 ABY - Endor
"So what you're telling us is that the Empire has a moon sized planet destroying weapon and it is up to us to destroy it?" Han asked, a little unable to comprehend what he had just heard.
"That is exactly what I am saying and the only way to destroy it is to blow it up from the inside." One of the generals told him.
"That's suicide." Han added.
"The lives of those willing to bargain with mortality will not go uncredited Where there is victory there is always sacrifice." The general added once more. Han swallowed hard and ran his hand through his hair.
"So who is volunteering?" Han asked looking around at the crowd of fighters, civilians willing to fight, pilots, generals, he couldn't quite believe just how many people were preparing to die by standing up to the Empire, an empire many feared.
"All of us, Captain. We are all in this together, every single one of us. We know what going into this fight means for us all, but we stand on common ground when it comes to the protection of this galaxy. This sacrifice is necessary and I will happily give my life to ensure the future is bright for all." A young woman named Tarla said. Han looked around and saw a few nods of agreement. Luke watched and swallowed hard before standing up.
"I will stand and fight with you, all of you." He said proudly, he was a fighter - but not for aggression, for peace. Han grabbed his arm and pulled him down.
"Are you kidding? It's suicide, kid." Han told him quietly, Luke just clenched his jaw.
"I've been running since the minute I was born. It is time we all stop running and stand up for what is rightfully ours…peace and freedom." Luke told him he was much like Padme. "You can cower away all you want, but I am staying to fight. With or without you." Luke told him again before going to the general to discuss plans.
Han clenched his jaw and watched him walk away before he saw Chewie giving him a rather judgmental look. "What are you looking at?!" He asked rhetorically before going back to his hut.
The Imperial Ship
Vader paced back and forth, as he tried to come to his senses. Another Skywalker? But how? That baby died when Padme did - or so he thought. How was it possible that he had not sensed it?! He could sense the child, both children, when Padme was pregnant, how could it be that he could not sense it whilst they were living and breathing? How could he not know that Leia was still alive. He felt betrayed by himself, by the power he ruined everything for. It angered him and he had to know - now.
Storming the hallways, once more his staff feared him and parted ways just to let him through, terrified of what he would do next. Bursting through her cell doors, she could tell he was in no mood. "You have a sibling!" He practically told her. Leia clenched her jaw, she could not allow this to happen.
"I did have. I never got to meet them, no thanks to you." She said with an eye roll - how that eye roll was much like Padme's. He clenched his fists, and took a step forward.
"Your thoughts portray you child. If you do not tell me, I will find out myself and the actions I take will not be so understanding." He said simply before leaving.
Leia collapsed back on the metal bed in a gasp. She couldn't let him find Luke, because she had no idea what he would do to him and that scared her, so much.
It was until long after that she heard a scratching sound coming from outside the door, standing up rather confused. She looked to see if she could spot something, before the door blew off. Her eyes widened when she saw the man, "Ben?!" She asked, confused. "What are you doing here?" She asked again.
"There is no time Leia, we have to go." Obi Wan told her, reaching for her hand.
"You cannot be here." Leia told him, as he pulled her to safety.
"Neither should you. That is why we must move quickly, the longer I am here the quicker he will sense my presence and I will not be able to help you then." He told her honestly, feeling his end near.
Leia clenched her jaw and stopped in her tracks, "He knows…about Luke. I don't know how but he knows. We have to get to him. We have to protect Luke." She pleaded. Obi Wan nodded and took her hand once more before leaving with her, avoiding any of the guards, troopers and hopefully Vader.
"Lord Vader, there has been a breach in the cargo, a ship has been taken." A guard told him.
"What?!" Vader asked in anger.
"And…the prisoner has gone too, she has escaped." the guard told him, clearly nervous for his reaction. The room around them shook as Vader's anger heightened. Using the force to pull the guard to him roughly, "BRING ME THE GIRL!" He yelled, throwing him into the wall before storming off once more.
Endor
Luke was helping to fix one of the jets when he saw an incoming ship - imperial ship. "What is that?!" He asked.
"That is an imperial ship. Everyone to their stations!" A man yelled.
"No Wait!" Luke yelled back, looking up at the ship. "They'd be shooting at us by now. It is not them." He added.
"How do you know?" Another fighter asked.
"I just do…Don't shoot." He said before rushing over to where the ship had landed. Most gathered around ready to stand ground and fight as they anticipated the unboarding of the ship.
Luke and Han clenched their jaws before they saw Ben leave the ship and then Leia. "Leia!" He called out in relief before running to his sister and hugging him tightly. "Luke." she whispered back, hugging him just as tight. Pulling back slightly she looked at him, "Luke he knows about you." She whispered.
"He does?" he asked, arching his eyebrows. "Well then we must fight." He added again. "We have to stop this." He was passionate.
"And you will, but there is something I must teach you first…both of you." Ben said simply to them, even Leia looked confused. "But for that we must go into hiding once more, a place where he will not find either of you. For that very reason we must leave now." Ben added again. The siblings just looked at each other and knew they could trust in him. "Okay.." they both said together.
"So, you're just going to come in here, annoy the crap out of me and leave again?" Han asked her softly, as he watched her prepare the ship.
"You like me now do you?" Leia asked sarcastically.
"I liked that you can keep me on my toes." He said with a grin. She rolled her eyes at his words.
"I'm not here to be seduced by your arrogant comments or smirks. There is a job to do." She said simply, arching a brow at him.
"Destroy the Empire and get ourselves killed, yeah yeah I know." He said sarcastically.
"This is serious Han. I don't know what Ben wants to teach us but I trust him with my life. I know whatever it is will help in our victory." She said softly looking at him, Han just swallowed hard and looked at her before nodding. "I need you to stay here and guide this fleet. You know this galaxy inside and out, you are a fighter and we will win this war. If you are truly the one to give orders, then I believe acting as general will suit you well." She smirked.
"Don't look at me like that."
"Like what?" Leia grinned, before walking away to board the ship.
"Like that princess!" He yelled playfully.
"Don't call me princess!" She yelled back before smirking at him one last time.
"So where is it we are going?" Luke asked as they watched Endor become a tiny dot in the distance.
"A place where it all began." Ben said softly, "A place where you will connect to your true selves." He said again. Luke and Leia just looked at each other before taking each other's hands.
They both knew that this was the start of something so important, something historic and the start of their destinies. Hiding and running was no longer an option.
