-Chapter 3-

-Rachel pov-

I am sitting outside of the lawyer office door. There is yelling and I just want to go home. I am so scared right now. My dads have never come home for anything.

"Hey sweetie?" I look up slowly at the older lady behind the desk "You want some candy? I think we have some in the little kiddies room!"

"But that is for kids" Keep it together Rachel "I am a sophomore"

"How silly of me huh?" She sticks out her tongue and I crack some with a giggle "How about we just talk a walk then?"

"Ay" I stand up some and she is quickly at my side "I alk"

"I know you can sweetie" She grabs my hand and pretty much helps me walk "I have known your mom for a long time"

"Ealy?" She nods and open up a door "Ere r e?"

"I know you said you are too old but no one is ever too old for candy" I smile and she turns on the light "I can get some while you sit in the rocking chair ok?"

I nod and crawl over to the chair. I climb into it while she grabs some candy and a book. She comes over and I end up on her lap. After the candy I am given a pacifier and lean into her as she reads.

This feels oddly nice to me honestly.

-Shelby pov-

"So we are not reaching an agreement" I sigh and stand up "Let's ask Rachel then!"

"Fine" LeRoy stands up and walks out just to freeze "Wh-where did she go?"

"What?!" I rush out with Hiram and see Rachel is gone "Where is my baby girl?!"

"Our last thing we said to her was we would be back" I look and see Hiram frowning "We said we would be back when she was five Lee"

"I know" LeRoy has a sad smile on his face "It was the day after her birthday...we got her a stuffed pony"

"Because she wanted a real one but we did not have the cash" Hiram sighs with a sad smile on his face too "We failed as parents"

"But you could make the right choice here" They share a look and nod "Let's find Rachel first"

"Amy is missing too" I look over at My lawyer who has a knowing look "She has a sixth sense Shel"

I nod and head down the hallway "Follow me if you can!" I hear rushing footsteps behind me as I turn down some halls "Amy is like a grandma to every kid that comes through here"

"But Rach is a sophomore" I nod and stop at the window "What?"

"She is looking for a way out of the struggles and to a simpler time" They both look and I see tears in their eyes "You can visit whenever you want...I know should would appreciate it"

"We will sign under those rules" Hiram turns toward me and holds out his hand "We will have our lawyer send the work"

"Thank you" He nods and Leroy hugs me when the handshake is over "Thank you both"

"Thank you" LeRoy steps back with a watery smile "She finally has a life now"

"She gave me one" I look at my girl sleeping on Amy's lap with a pacifier "She has given me hope again"

-Quinn pov-

I take a deep breath and knock on the door. I fix my pillow under my arm and my baggage. I place my hand in my stomach and smile. I can not wait for this little bundle to come out.

"You going to be all Barbie mom or come in?" I look up at a smirking Santana "Come on"

"Rude" She rolls her eyes and I come in "Are you sure your parents do not mind me living here?"

"Well that is something I have to tell you about" I hear a baby toy and look at Santana confused "Remember that this is not a kink thing and I'd you want to be with Rachel you may have to get used to this"

She walks past me and I follow. I stop when I see Brittany playing with a electronic doll house. I look at Santana who is smiling at her. I look back at Brittany and sigh.

"This is going to take some getting used to" I look at Santana who is looking nervous "I am not going to snitch on you Santana...you have finally stepped up as a friend"

"I am so sorry I kicked you to the curb" Santana pulls me into a hug "You and the baby always have a place here"

"I do not want Puck to be apart of the babies life" She pulls back with a knowing look in her eyes "I...I think I am ready to press the charges your dad talked about"

"You do know that puts Puck in jail right?" I nod and Santana cups my face "As long as your are sure ok? I will send Papi a text while you keep her busy! I will also get you some food cause I know you need some bacon!"

"Thanks" Santana nods and I walk near Brittany "Uh hi Britt! H-how are you doing?"

"I good" Brittany keeps playing with her dolls "Are you taking mommy? I love her"

"I have my eye on another girl" Brittany's attention is on me now with eyes filled full of wonder "I do not know if it is the pregnancy or what but...I like Rachel! She is smart, Kind, caring, talented, daring, determined, skilled, and just so many other things!"

"She like me?" I tilt my head some in confusion "She act like me?"

"I think Rachel is younger actually" Brittany points to my belly and I nod "Yeah maybe"

"You still like her?" I know that question is not just aimed about Rachel "You still like her even like that?"

"You will always be my Britt" I give her a forehead kiss and then tickle her sides "Now the tickle monster is here!"

She giggles and I can not help but laugh along. I have never felt so free in my life. We only stop when a flash appears. I turn to see Santana sighing behind her parents.

"The moment your life became better!" I look at Papa Lopez who smiles happily "I will always remember this moment! Just like I will remember the moment we get you over to John! Amy said that I could stop in anytime to get this filed"

"Thank you" I stand up and wipe some sweat "Being big does not help"

"Just be glad it is coming to its end" I nod and put a hand on my stomach as Mama Lopez walks toward the door "Come on! I want to get some stuff to celebrate this!"

I chuckle as Santana comes over and picks up britt. I watch as they go past and smile. They seems so normal like this. Maybe I was never really a good friend to them.

I get knocked out of my thoughts by a flash again. I turn and glare at Papa Lopez laughing. I chase him out of the room to the car. We all get in and take the trip to the lawyers office.

We wanted to get a lawyer ready just incase. I will go to the police tomorrow and be ready for everything. One step at a time for my little one. I am frozen on the walk inside though when I see something.

I look through the window to see Shelby, two men, and a old lady. Shelby moves just enough to see Rachel with a pacifier on her mouth. She looks so sweet and innocent. Did I take that away from her?

I feel eyes on me and look away from her. I see one of the men looking angry. He is soon stomping over and opens the door. I gulp as he stands in front of me.

"You are Quinn Fabray yes? The one who told everybody to not come to my daughters fifth birthday?" I shake my head and turn to see Santana cringing "That is what was said"

"I may have told others that" There are five slaps given to Santanas head "Ow! Yes I know it was bad!"

"We thought we were the problem" I turn to see the anger gone and replaced with sadness "She was better off without us"

"Leaving her ruined her just as much as the bullying" I put a hand on his shoulder and he looks up at my face "We can both earn our second chances ok? Do not give up on her"

"We are doing a plan where we come back and spend holidays and special events" He smiles a little "Makes us responsible for once"

"Good start" I look through the window at Rachel who gives a timid finger wave "I am working on mine Monday"

"The way to her heart is through her love of music" I look back to him and he steps back "Sorry about a little bit ago"

"Sorry for causing hell" He nods and I take a step back "I have someone's life to make hell who deserves it"

He nods and I walk to the Lopez gang "You ok?" I nod and smack Santana on the back of the head "Ow! Ok I deserved that!"

"Yes you did" I smile and let out a relieved sigh "But I also finally feel so free"

"First steps kiddo" I look up at Mama Lopez smiling "Welcome to the first steps to a free life"

A free life huh? That sounds pretty damn good.
