-Chapter 5-

-Shelby pov-

"Alright I have glee auditions! I am looking for some new people to fit into our impressive group!" I look at my kids who seem bored already "Hey liven up!"

"With all due respect coach?" I nod and Giselle sits forward "We rather have Jesse than your daughter"

"And I want compliance not complaints" She glares and I raise a eyebrow "You want to argue about this? Cause I believe I can get that car taken and switched names"

"No car is worth this" A boy named Malcom stands up with some people "We are out of here!"

"Anyone else?" A few more stand up and I get their keys "Please find a new way home and if your parents complain have them call me"

"So are we magically getting four more people to be at the right number?" I look at Giselle who sighs "I may not like having spotlight time taken but I understand talent"

"Smart words" She smirks and I turn toward Rachel "You ok? You have been silent the whole time"

"I can audition" I shake my head but she is already standing "I am not going to let some people say who I am or not"

"Rachel calm down" She walks to the stage and I sigh "Alright! Do a song then"

-Rachel singing-

Na na na na na na na na na na na na

Na na na na na na na na na na na na

I guess I just lost my husband,

I don't know where he went,

So I'm gonna drink my money,

I'm not gonna pay his rent (nope),

I got a brand new attitude and

I'm gonna wear it tonight,

I wanna get in trouble,

I wanna start a fight,

Na na na na na na na I wanna start a fight,

Na na na na na na na I wanna start a fight.

So, so what

I'm still a rock star,

I got my rock moves,

And I don't need you,

And guess what,

I'm having more fun,

And now that we're done,

I'm gonna show you tonight,

I'm alright,

I'm just fine,

And you're a tool,

So, so what,

I am a rock star,

I got my rock moves,

And I don't want you tonight.

(Uh check my flow, aw)

The waiter just took my table,

And gave it to Jessica Simps (shit!),

I guess I'll go sit with drum boy,

At least he'll know how to hit (oops!)

What if this song's on the radio,

Then somebody's gonna die,

I'm gonna get in trouble,

My ex will start a fight,

Na na na na na na na he's gonna start a fight,

Na na na na na na na we're all gonna get in a fight!

So, so what

I'm still a rock star,

I got my rock moves,

And I don't need you,

And guess what,

I'm having more fun,

And now that we're done,

I'm gonna show you tonight,

I'm alright,

I'm just fine,

And you're a tool,

So, so what,

I am a rock star,

I got my rock moves,

And I don't want you tonight

You weren't there,

You never were,

You want it all,

But that's not fair,

I gave you life,

I gave my all,

You weren't there,

You let me fall.

So, so what

I'm still a rock star,

I got my rock moves,

And I don't need you,

And guess what,

I'm having more fun,

And now that we're done,

I'm gonna show you tonight,

I'm alright,

I'm just fine,

And you're a tool,

So, so what,

I am a rock star,

I got my rock moves,

And I don't want you tonight

No, no, no, no

I don't want you tonight,

You weren't there,

I'm gonna show you tonight,

I'm alright,

I'm just fine,

And you're a tool,

So, so what,

I am a rock star,

I got my rock moves,

And I don't want you tonight!

Ba da da da da da

"That was outside of your normal wheelhouse but very good!" Rachel smiles as everyone claps "I think you have proven yourself to the team"

She makes her way down and I see a head quickly poke back. I chuckle as Quinn is pushed onto stage with Santana and Brittany. These three are the ones I was waiting for. They could help the group dynamic so much.

-Quinn-Brittany-Santana-All-

Now I've heard there was a secret chord

That David played, and it pleased the Lord

But you don't really care for music, do you?

It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth

The minor fall, the major lift

The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof

You saw her bathing on the roof

Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you

She tied you to a kitchen chair

She broke your throne, and she cut your hair

And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

You say I took the name in vain

I don't even know the name

But if I did—well, really—what's it to you?

There's a blaze of light in every word

It doesn't matter which you heard

The holy or the broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I did my best, it wasn't much

I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch

I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you

And even though it all went wrong

I'll stand before the Lord of Song

With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah

Everyone is applauding as they take their bows. Quinn struggles some but she accomplishes it. They sound so great together! I already have perfect songs for them!

"Excellent girls! Welcome to the club!" They all give me a nod with a smile and walk off "Up next may come out to main stage!"

-Tina singing-

There is this thing that's like touching except you don't touch

Back in the day it just went without saying at all

All the world's history gradually dying of shock

There is thing that's like talking except you don't talk

You sing

You sing

Sing for the bartender sing for the janitor sing

Sing for the cameras sing for the animals sing

Sing for the children shooting the children sing

Sing for the teachers who told you that you couldn't sing

Just sing

There is thing keeping everyone's lungs and lips locked

It is called fear and it's seeing a great renaissance

After the show you can not sing wherever you want

But for now lets all pretend that we're gonna get bombed

So sing

Sing cause its obvious sing for the astronauts sing

Sing for the president sing for the terrorists sing

Sing for the soccer team sing for the janjaweed sing

Sing for the kid with the phone who refuses to sing

Just sing

Life is no cabaret

We don't care what you say

We're inviting you anyway

You motherfuckers you'll sing someday

"I like this one!" Giselle is standing up clapping while we all hesitantly applaud "That was amazing!"

"Yeah" I watch her walk off and shake off whatever..that was "Next up!"

-Mike singing-

Hey baby girl

I've been watching you all day

Man that thing you got behind you is amazing

You make me wanna take you out and let it rain

I know you got a man but this is what you should say

Why don't you tell him that I'm leavin' never looking back again

You found somebody who does it better than he can

No more making you cry

No more them gray skies

Girl we're flying on a G5, G5

And we're leavin' never looking back again

So call your shawty and tell him you found a new man

The one who's so so fly

The one to keep you high

Have you singing all night like that

Man she gon' be singing

She gon' be singing

Now if I talk it girl, you know that I will walk it out

Man I'll put my money money where my mouth is

'Cause you're the baddest little thing that I've ever seen

So I'm gonna ask you one time if you got a man

Why don't you tell him that I'm leavin' never looking back again

You found somebody who does it better than he can

No more making you cry

No more them gray skies

Girl we're flying on a G5, G5

And we're leavin' never looking back again

So call your shawty and tell him you found a new man

The one who's so so fly

The one to keep you high

Have you singing all night like that

Man she gon' be singing

She gon' be singing

She gon' be singing

She gon' be singing

You gon' be singing

Don't stress, don't stress, don't stress

Just tell him to the left left left

Don't stress, don't stress, don't stress

'Cause we gone and we gone and we gone

No stress, no stress, no stress

Girl you deserve nothing but the best

No stress, no stress, no stress

Girl you need to tell him

That I'm leavin' never looking back again

You found somebody who does it better than he can

No more making you cry

No more them gray skies

Girl we're flying on a G5, G5

And we're leavin' never looking back again

So call your shawty and tell him you found a new man

The one who's so so fly

The one to keep you high

Have you singing all night like that

Man she gon' be singing

She gon' be singing all night like that

Man she gon' be singing

She gon' be singing

She gon' be singing

She gon' be singing

Girl you gon' be singing

"Well that was something" He frowns and I hold a hand up "We will help you ok? You have a voice for sure and I want to help you get it out there"

"Hey I am perfectly capable of being the top!" I turn and sigh seeing Rachel someone's face "I am better than everyone here!"

"Hey!" I get up and rush over to them "You best sit your butt down now!"

"She is being a jealous jerk!" I raise a eyebrow and she pouts "No fair!"

"I think we have seen what we need to" Everyone nods and leaves "What was that Rachel?"

"She was being rude!" She stands up and stomps away "I am leaving!"

"She did that at McKinley" I turn toward the five kids new to Carmel "She has a moral issue"

"I will fix it" I sigh and shake my head "Thanks for coming! The first practice is tomorrow! Make sure to be here!"

They all nod and we exit the auditorium. I see Rachel upset in the passenger seat and sigh. I get in and she is completely silent. It is a silent ride home and a silent walk inside the house.

I try to comfort her but she storms off. I rub my temples and go for some headache medicine. I see a bottle and lift it up. These are lactation pills.

Maybe it could help with getting us closer...only one way to really find out I guess.
