I keep getting reviews about Luke, he of course is in this story but this story is focused mainly around Leia and her relationship with Anakin/Vader. :)

4 ABY - The Death Star

Leia had willingly surrendered herself to the guards, she knew if there was any way of saving her father she would have to get close to him. She was shocked when he had her cuffs removed and walked alone with her.

"So, you have reconsidered my offer?" Vader asked, he did not seem threatening at all. Leia clenched her jaw as she walked alongside him.

"I have come to rescue you, father." She said softly. She knew the only way to get to him was biting her tongue and connecting with him on a personal level. Vader was not her father but she knew the man under the mask was, he was just lost.

"I am in no need of rescuing." He said simply as they walked.

"I do not believe that. I know there is still good in you, I can feel it. She knew that." She said softly, looking at him. Watching him stop at the mention of her mother. She stopped too and turned to face him slightly, "The Emperor has not driven it from you fully." She added once more.

"You do not know the power of the darkside, I must obey my master." He told her, she could feel it. She could feel he was conflicted.

"I will not join you father, you will be forced to kill me." She told him. She no longer feared him, she could feel everything he felt and it was so…sad. So much pain, suffering, anger, hatred, but somewhere, in all that darkness she could feel her father. The man she once knew.

"If that is your destiny." He told her softly, his tone softening each time, even if it was robotic.

She looked at him and shook her head, "I do not believe you will hurt me father. You would have done so by now." She told him softly. It was silent, only the robotic breathing from his suit filled the silence.

"Come with me, together we can stop the Emperor, I will help you become Anakin Skywalker again, the man I once knew. The man I love." She told him desperately.

"It is too late for me, Leia." He said softly, his hand moved to her shoulder and she swallowed hard.

"Nothing is ever too late." She whispered.

"Come away with me, help me raise our child, leave everything behind whilst we still can."

Haunted by some of his wife's final words, Leia reminded him too much of her and instantly the rage built up inside of him at everything he had lost. "The Emperor is expecting you." He said sharply, before walking away, Leia followed.

Walking into the throne room she swallowed hard, it was rather intimidating that was for sure, but she still felt…safe. She didn't know why, she knew Vader would not harm her, she just knew it.

"Child. How you have grown." Palpatine said to her with a menacing smirk. Leia remembered him as the Chancellor when she was growing up.

"You have not aged well." Leia spat back, she had Anakin's sarcasm, fire and need to torment his enemies.

"General Grevious, you're shorter than I expected."

The memory of his former self haunted him, he had not known his wife was pregnant during his time at war. It was that very day that he would find out about her being pregnant with Leia. Not only did she remind him of Padme, but she reminded her so much of himself.

"You are much like Anakin Skywalker child, weak." He said simply. "I am looking forward to completing your training, soon it'll be I you call master." He laughed. Leia cringed as she stood slightly in front of her father.

"You are not as wise as you think, Palpatine. I will not turn to the dark side." She told him firmly. Vader was shocked at his daughter's bravery - not even he would back chat the emperor. Palpatine stood up.

"You are a foolish child. You are unwise to many great things." He said with a grin, walking towards her. "It is your destiny to take your place in the dark side of the force." He told her.

"You're wrong. I will die before I join you and I will take you down with me." Leia told him she was getting annoying and Vader could feel it.

Palpatine laughed and walked back to his seat.

"There is no point in resisting, Leia." Vader told her.

She turned to face him, "I will not turn." She said firmly, withdrawing her lightsaber. Palpatine laughed as Vader instantly withdrew his in defense. It shocked Leia.

"Yes, a duel of father and daughter." Palpatine smirked. "Let your anger flow through you, young Skywalker. He took everything from you, your friends, your life, your mother..use your anger, I can feel it flow through you." He grinned, tormenting her, he loved every second of this conflict.

"I will not fight my father." She told him firmly.

"Then your friends on Tatooine will die." Palpatine said firmly.

"Luke." Leia whispered.

"Your thoughts betray you, child. You cannot protect your brother now." He said with a grin. Leia just screamed and charged towards the Emperor who used the force to throw her into a wall. Letting out a grunt, she looked up and stood up.

"Do what you must." Palpatine told Vader. Vader hesitated and clenched his fist. "DO IT!" Palaptine yelled again as Vader swung for Leia. She blocked, she was trained and she remembered his moves.

"I know your every move, dad." a 9 year old Leia chuckled as her and Anakin playfully sparred with staffs on the fields of Naboo by her lake.

"I am just going easy on you, you're a child." He teased, hitting her staff playfully. Leia smirked and swiped the staff under his feet.

"Well don't." She told him with a grin. Anakin grinned and looked at his daughter from the ground. Standing back up he arched his eyebrow, she was much like he was as a child.

"Very well." He grinned. "Are you ready to see what a true Jedi can do?!" He teased, holding his staff up.

"Bring it on, old man." She teased, sending him a determined yet playful look.

The pair fought it out playfully and of course he did go easy on her, he was 32 and twice the size of her, but he was impressed with his daughters ability to strike back and her lack of fear of getting hit.

"Father please!" Leia yelled to him, through the blocks. "This isn't you." She said, striking back.

"You will join me, Leia! It is your destiny." He told her.

"You know that is not true!" She yelled back, she felt a little helpless, just when she thought she had gotten through to him, she lost him.

"I can feel the anger in you, my child." He told her. Leia knew in that instant she had to stop, she could not feel anger, or hatred. Striking at him hard enough for her to get away, she stood on the platform and closed her eyes, calming down. She could not fear hatred or anger. The only way she was going to win was to stay calm.

"It is pointless." Vader told her as he slowly walked towards the platform and stopped. "If you will not join me, then you will die." He added.

Leia just looked at him. "So I die…" she whispered. Before she could say anything she felt a sharp pain right through her stomach, a lightsaber, a red one, but it wasn't her fathers. "Then you die." Palpatine hissed from behind her. "Perhaps, your brother is more worthy." He said in a laugh before pulling the lightsaber out, watching her drop to the floor. Even Vader had not expected that and flinched. If he had not been conflicted before he was now. His hands clenched around his lightsaber and into a ball, as he watched his daughter lay on the floor. Flashbacks to watching his wife drop to the floor on Mustafar. Palpatine laughed as he wiped his lip.

"Father…" Leia whispered out.

"ANAKIN!" Padme's voice yelled.
