A/N: Contains spoilers of FT481 and angst. The ideas popped up in my head and I must let it out. I did this in a rush so this wasn't well polished. Sorry that the title is so lame which is just taken from the name of Neinhart's magic.
Erza lied on her side on the deck. Her fierce red tresses slid over her shoulder, covering the painful expression on her face. She was panting harshly. All her wounds being carefully treated by Wendy now opened up again, bleeding along with the ones newly carved on her skin and in her flesh by the ghosts of her past enemies.
She didn't want to move an inch; only wished that she could just continue to rest in her current position, feeling her magic power and physical strength slipping away from her quickly. But she knew that she couldn't. This enemy was more than a thread to the existence of her beloved guild. He was working for Zeref to annihilate humanity.
And he was also the cause that her sister-like friend and the man she loved were swallowed by the sea, now being alive or dead remained unbeknownst to her.
Gritting her teeth in agony, Erza planted a palm on the wooden surface beneath her, willing herself to get back up.
"You are prepared to feel more pain now, aren't you?" The soft but evil voice of Kyouka sickened Erza, reminding her all the insulting and cruel tortures she endured under the hands of the female demon.
"Show me your strong will once again, Titania." Erza knew very well that the seemingly encouraging words uttered by Azuma were purely deceptive. "Make it worth for me to crush you."
Mustering up all the energy she had, Erza raised herself up unsteadily, supporting herself with her sword.
"My blades haven't had enough of your blood yet, Miss Erza." Ikaruga chuckled deeply.
"Ah!" Erza cried in pain and found herself falling on her knees as the swords in the hands of the pink hair assassin sliced across her lower legs.
She pressed her free hand over the new opening on her left leg as she almost curled into a ball; the sweat on her forehead fell and hit the deck like tiny raindrops.
"I thought you've become stronger, Erza."
A new, yet too familiar, voice hit Erza's eardrums.
No. No. No.
Her eyes widened in horror, and her body shook uncontrollably without her permission.
It can't be. Please, no.
She wished to pretend that she didn't hear this voice. She wished that her hearing this voice was only her hallucination.
But she knew that she was perfectly awake and sane because of the pain she felt. She had to confirm what she thought with her own eyes.
She never knew that to raise her head could be that difficult and heavy like she was carrying tons of bricks on her head. And her heart pounded loudly with increasing fear as she forced herself to look up.
Tears rolled down her cheeks like two streams when Erza finally took in the sight of the man standing in front of her, who had a head of blue hair and a red tattoo on his right cheek.
"I guess we will surely finish everything within seven minutes this time, Erza." Wearing a dark blue cloak and a pair of black gloves, the Jellal Erza fought against in the Tower of Heaven said with a sly grin.
The enemy in her past. The historia of corpses.
The Jellal who had woken up from Ultear's manipulation, had spent eight years in trying to redeem himself, had become the only one she wished to spend the rest of her life with one day, was dead.
Erza screamed in despair into the sky.
And she let her sorrow and anger to fuel her as she lurched forward, trying to cut through Jellal with her swords.
"You want to kill me? I thought you love me, Erza." Jellal said sarcastically as he swiftly stepped aside to avoid the attack. "Or is this your unique way to express your love?"
Unforgivable.
"You are not Jellal! He's already…" Erza's voice trembled and her hands shook and she didn't find it in herself to speak the truth. "Don't mess with my memories on the true person Jellal was!"
She rushed to the Jellal took shape from her memories preparing to launch another attack, but was blocked by Ikaruga who jumped in between them before being tied down by Azuma's tree roots. Then an excruciating pain ran through her body making her let out an anguish cry.
"The seven stars shall pass your sentence."
Erza couldn't stop her tears from falling as she looked at the familiar face of Jellal. He was gone. This was not him.
She shut her eyes. She was unable to requip into her armor anymore. But she could still summon her weapons
"Grand Chariot!"
All kinds of weapons appeared in the air and fell from the sky targeting at Jellal.
The ship cracked into two unable to stand the strong attacks. Jellal, Kyouka, Azuma and Ikaruga all disappeared as Erza fell into the sea.
On the shore, Kagura continued to give pressure on Jellal's chest, refusing to give up on his heart which had stop beating for two minutes. But she was momentarily distracted when an explosion on the sea startled her.
"Erza!" She cried in panic seeing the ship where Erza was on being destroyed.
Then she felt it from her palm, the flutter of Jellal's heart. She forced herself to focus on reviving Jellal again and not long after, Jellal started throwing up water while coughing violently.
"What happened…" Jellal asked in a weak voice when his coughing died down and when he finally gained back some of his consciousness.
"I need to go to help Erza now and will explain to you later." Kagura felt utterly relieved to see that Jellal had come back to life finally but now Erza's safety worried her deeply.
She rose up to run to a nearby boat but stopped in her track when a person suddenly appeared in front of her.
Erza, perfectly unwounded and in her sarashi and flame-colored pants attire, pointed her sword at Kagura.
"Erza?" Kagura asked hesitantly. Then realization hit her and she started trembling. "No…no…"
"Erza…" Watching with disbelieving eyes, Jellal uttered the name of the scarlet hair woman with a broken voice.
She was dead.
A/N: Please ignore how Jellal came back to live. I know it didn't make any sense in real world.
