"Now ladies and gentlemen, the main attraction of the evening, let's give it up for the world's strongest teenager Fred "The Blob" Dukes! All right, Fred, let's show them what you got." The announcer said
As Fred pulled two monster trucks which were on and going in opposite directions back toward himself as Mystique watched from the crowd. As Fred pulled the two monster trucks into each other he launched himself into the air and landed back on the trucks as the crowd cheered loudly. Fred went to take a bow but ended up falling face first in the mud which turned the cheering crowd into a laughing crowd fast making Fred very angry. As Fred got up Mystique seemed very happy but a few isles back sat Logan and Jean.
IN FREDS DRESSING ROOM...
Fred was throwing things around and causing huge damage to the room as he threw a fit about earlier.
"Something wrong?" Mystique said as she opened the door and stood there leaning against it as he turned around
"Yeah these small town hicks, they've laughed at me for the last time I'm getting out of here for good." Fred said as he took his fist out of the wall
"That can be arranged, in fact I know somewhere where your talents would be truly appreciated." Mystique said as she walked up to him and put her finger on his chest
"Listen lady, if you're from the circus you can forget it." Fred said as he pushed her hand away and pointed accusingly
"Oh no no no I have something far more interesting in mind, care to hear more?" Mystique said to him with a sadistic smile
"Yeah sure why not." Fred said as Logan and Jean started walking towards the door and right before he shut it, Mystique smiled right them
The next day at Bayville High...
"And this will be your schedule for the semester, any question Mr. Dukes?" Mystique asked as she pointed to a spot on the paper he was holding
"I don't know if I can do school again. I didn't fit into the other ones much." Fred said thinking back to his other schools
"You won't have that trouble here, as the principal I can make sure of it." Mystique said as Fred then walked out and shut the door
"Man this is complicated, hey hey you." Fred said as he grabbed one of the jocks by the back of his jacket and picked him up.
"Where am I supposed to be?" Fred said as he shoved the piece of paper in his face
"I don't know how to do a sideshow." The boy said to Fred was holding said as he started laughing at Fred
"DON'T YOU MAKE FUN OF ME!" Fred said as he threw the jock and picked up the whole row of lockers next to him and was about to drop them on the jock but right then Jean walked in the hall and noticed
"Uh hi you must be new here, uh I'm Jean Grey." Jean said trying to distract him long enough for her classmate to run away
"Heh oh yeah I am uh new I mean." Fred said as he turned around to look her in the eyes while he talked to her and the jock ran off
"Heh I figured, welcome to Bayville so uh what do your friends call you." Jean said as Fred put down the lockers finally
"I never had any friends but my name is Fred, Fred Dukes." Fred said as he and Jean shook hands
"Well Fred I wanted to apologize for Duncan. He can be a real idiot sometimes. Hey, did you need any help figuring this out?" Jean said as she bent down and picked up his class schedule
"Yes uh uh please." Fred said to her
"Okay hmm your first class is right over there." Jean said as she pointed to where his class was
"Huh thanks!" Fred said with a smile
"Don't worry, the first day is always the roughest. It gets better. I'll see you around." Jean said as she walked away to get to her class
"You sure will." Fred said as he crumpled his paper and smiled
Meanwhile in Markus's drama class...
"All right for this drama exercise you'll each be doing a scene with a partner since a few of you haven't chosen partners I'll be pairing you up myself." The teacher said as he walked around the class passing out books.
"Taran, you and Paul are going to do Laura and Jim from the Glass Menagerie and that leaves you and you." The teacher said as he walked up to Markus and Rogue giving them a matching book
"Why him?" Rogue said under her breath silently freaking out because after the event with the X-Men she still does not know how to feel around him
"You two will be doing Shakespeers Henry the fifth I've marked it, Henry and Catherine daughter of the French king." The teacher said as he looked at them both
"Lot's of luck Markus. I don't think Miss small dark and sullen has ever said two words you're gonna have to play both parts yourself man." The boy in the seat next to Markus said as the whole class started to laugh
"All right class all right now I want you to get together with your scene partner and rehearse, you perform on Tuesday." The teacher said as Markus turned to Rogue
"Um hey are you okay with this." Markus said to her scared that she would not want to do it with him because of what happened
"I have no problem." Rogue said as she hid her blush when talking to him
"Okay just making sure I guess I will see you later to rehearse." Markus said as he got up to go eat lunch
Later in the cafeteria...
"Is that humungus guy the one that you and Logan like to see Saturday night?" Kitty said as she, Jean, and Markus sat at a lunch table together and Kitty pointed at Fred
"Yeah Fred he's okay when he's not ripping lockers off the wall." Jean said as she pointed at him as well
"He's the one who likes to do that, freaky." Kitty said while eating
"Yeah he almost dropped the lockers on Duncan till Jean showed up even though Duncan would have deserved it." Scott said before trying to get Markus's Beats off of his head before Markus instinctively caught his hand and removed his Beats
"Please don't do that... I'm trying to listen to some Fazbear Fright audiobooks." Markus explained as he let go of Scott's hand
"What's, like, that?" Kitty asked
"It's like a Goosebumps-esque book series but with creepy animatronics and stuff-" Markus replied as he tries to explain everything to her
"Fill her up." Fred said as he walked up to the lunch lady with his platter so she started to reach for a plate but Fred stopped her.
"Hey woah woah woah woah who said anything about a plate now load it up heavy." Fred said as he pointed to his whole platter and she started finding as much food as she could to fill it up and when it was full he walked away with a smile
"Basically, child murders, possessed animatronics, and the villain is a complete psychopath but eventually gets defeated." Markus said
"Hey guys what's up? I saw your partner for the rehearsals Markus, I just wanted to wish you luck." Kurt said while patting his back and laughing as Fred walked by making Fred think that he was laughing at him. Fred went to sit down but when he sat in the chair it collapsed and caused the whole table to flip making food go everywhere and land on Duncan
"Bad move blob boy." Duncan said as he and his posse got up and started walking over to Fred who was still on the floor
"Uh stay here Kitty this could get messy." Jean said as she stood up
"Yeah cause like that has not already happened." Kitty said as a fact.
Everytime Fred tried to stand up he would slip on some of the food on the ground causing everyone in the room except the mutants to laugh at him causing Fred to get very angry.
"DON'T LAUGH AT MEEE!" Fred said as he started picking up food and throwing it at Duncan so they started throwing food back
"FOOOOD FIIIIGHT!" A kid in the back screamed causing havoc to break loose and everyone to throw food
"Scuze me I'm skipping the desert." Kitty said as a burger flew through the air and hit her
"Poor Kitty you're all dirty." Markus said as he dodged the food but as he said it, he let his guard down and Kitty threw her food at him.
"Yeah that was deserved." Markus stated as Kitty laughed at him as she then phased through the floor to get out of there
"Fred Fred please calm down." Jean said as she started walking over to him and using her powers to avoid getting dirty, as Fred got angrier he picked up a table and started flinging it around.
"FRED STOP!" Jean yelled as she started running but then slipped on a stray piece of food on the ground and when she finally stopped she was right in front of an angry and rampaging Fred.
"FRED FREEED!" Jean screamed as Scott from a distance used his energy beams to shoot the table out of his hands. "Fred, put the table down Fred." Jean said as he started to calm down
"Jean Jean?" Fred said as he looked down and saw her and Scott on the floor
"You hurt her big man but if you want to fight try me." Scott said as he reached for his shades
"Back off Scott I'll handle this everything's fine isn't Fred?" Jean said as she put her hand up to calm him down
"They shouldn't have laughed at me." Fred said as he lowered his hands and Jean and Scott stood up
"No no they shouldn't, um Scott don't you have to get to class or something." Jean said as she turned to Scott
"I'll be close if you need me real close." Scott said
"I'll be fine." Jean said with a smile to Scott and he walked out
"Wow y'all really look out for each other don't ya." Rogue said as she hid behind her locker
"Yeah yeah we do that." Scott said calmly
"What's going on here!" Principal Darkholme said as she slammed Rogue's locker shut and looked at the two
"Nothing." Rogue said while looking down
"Um we were just talking,Principal Darkholme." Scott said as he got closer
"Then you had best stop your talking and get to class, have I made myself clear?!" Mystique said
"Yes ma'am." Rogue said as she walked off
Back in the cafeteria...
"It's just when they laugh at me I- I kind of explode inside you know." Fred said as he and Jean were talking while sitting down on the cafeteria floor
"I understand Fred but you've gotta learn to control yourself, you can get training." Jean said voice filled with understanding
"Yeah right where?" Fred said kinda curious about it
"I learn to control my uh gifts at the institute where I live." Jean said as she tried to figure out how to explain it
"Gifts, you mean you have powers too?" Fred said to her
"Uh huh watch." Jean said as she stood up and looked around before finding something she then pointed out a lunch chair that was tipped over on the ground and threw it against a wall which broke it with her telekinesis.
"WOAH YOU CAN REALLY POUND PEOPLE WITH THAT!" Fred said very excited but seemed to disappoint Jean
"No Fred, that's what we learn not to do, that's what the Xaviar institute is all about control I'd love to take you there sometime. I know the professor would like to meet you, just let me know when you're ready." Jean said as she walked up to him and put her hand on him before walking away
"I'll think about it." Fred said with a smile
"Great, well I gotta run I'll catch you later Fred." Jean said as she continues out of the cafeteria
"Hey Jean!" Fred says as he notices she left her backpack but then sees Scott at the door and changes his mind about giving it back
"Yes." Jean says as she turns around
"Nothing." Fred said angrily as he eyed Scott and they both walked away and Fred looked at a picture inside of Jean's backpack of Jean and Scott and ripped half off with Scott on it and put the half with Jean on it in his pocket and then left the cafeteria.
Later outside of the school...
Fred watched as Jean and a friend walked out of the school talking
"Like there goes my weekend I can't believe how much homework I've got." Jean's friend said as they continued to walk
"Yeah me too." Jean said as Fred walked up to the both of them which startled the pair.
"Oh hi Fred this is my friend Tarun." Jean said as she introduced them
"Yeah hi." Fred said kinda not caring
"Hi!" Tarun said back to him
"Uh Jean would you I mean would you like to uh wanta get a soda or something?" Fred said as he got the courage to ask her on a date or kinda a date
"Ah sorry Fred I can't I got some stuff I gotta do hey how about if I catch up with you tomorrow?" Jean said as she and her friend continued walking
"Stuff huh that's the best you could come up with stuff." Fred said as his anger rose
"Uh Tarun you better go on without me, I'll catch up with you later." Jean said quietly to her
"You gonna be okay?" Tarun asked Jean kinda concerned
"Yeah." Jean said as Tarun walked away and she turned to face Fred.
"Look friend, I like you and all but I have responsibilities and that means I can't go with you right now." Jean said just getting straight to the point
"But you're my friend." Fred said as he grabbed her wrist making her drop her stuff and look at him
"I thought so but friends don't hurt each other, now let go of me." Jean said as she tried to break free of his grasp
"Well just let me talk to you for a second... In private." Fred said as he started to drag her into a less populated area and she struggled the whole way
"Hey I said let go of me Fred I have to go home!" Jean said as she finally freed her hand and then decided to send a distress message to Markus who she knew was close.
"Markus I am in trouble!, I'm just outside the school." Jean cried to him hoping he could hear and not to far away he got the message and ran as fast as he could to her location
"You can't, you gotta go out with me!" Fred said demanding her
" I DON'T HAVE TO GO ANYWHERE BUT HOME!" Jean said as she rubbed her wrist and tried to run away but he caught her by the arms and pulled her back.
" NOW LET ME GO I'M WARNING YOU!" Jean said as she continued to struggle and then used her telekinesis to throw some cinder blocks at him
"Ah that's the best you got." Fred said as she then threw anything she could see at him including a dumpster which was deflected and ended up hitting the structure close by and falling on them. He tried to protect her, then her head got hit and she passed out and as he picked her up Markus finally arrived
"HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY SISTER?!" Markus screamed as he ran at him, ready to do whatever he needed because no one hurts his family. Fred then put Jean down and ran at him and attacked him knocking him into the wall very hard which knocked the breath out of Markus and before he could get back up, Fred picked up Jean and ran as Markus lost consciousness
Not much later...
"Jeeaan." Scott said as he walked around the school looking for Jean before he spotted the mess and Markus unconscious on the ground.
"MARKUS!" Scott yelled as he ran up to him and checked that he was breathing and thank goodness he was but just then he awoke and was hyperventilating
"JEAN HE HAS JEAN!" Markus said as he tried to get up but cringed in pain as Scott tried to calm him down a bit
"Markus what happened?" Scott asked as he helped him up slowly
"It's Fred, he took Jean." Markus said
"Markus it's okay we are going to get her back." Scott said as he helped Markus to his car and they rushed to the Mansion
Meanwhile at an unknown location...
"Wakey wakey sleepy beauty your table is ready." Fred said as Jean slowly started to regain consciousness and when she realized where she was, she started to struggle.
"Pretty sweet huh?" Fred said to Jean
"This can't be happening." Jean said as she then started to reach out to Xavier for help.
"Professor, I need help, please help me." Jean said as she closed her eyes and focused on connecting with him
Outside of the Mansion...
"Hey that's it, half-pint keep the ball away from the elf you gotta concentrate or-" Logan said as Shadowcat ran through the trees to keep the ball away from Nightcrawler before she stopped thinking and ran straight into a branch without phasing and dropped the ball
"Ha it's mine now Kitty." Nightcrawler said as he teleported right in front of the ball and caught while she was not the floor
"Give me that." Kitty said as she got up quickly so she could try and get the ball back
"Watch where your portin!" Logan said as Nightcrawler teleported onto an unstable branch and it snapped. As he fell, Kitty jumped into the air and grabbed him by the tail while laughing as she dropped him and when he looked up she stood there laughing with the ball in her hand.
"What kinda move is that?" Logan said as he face palmed
"Hmm innovation adoption it's what they're here to learn." Xaviar said as he then stopped because he got Jean's message.
"Jean, stay calm, we'll find you." Xavier said to her while then turning to Logan.
"She's been kidnapped." Xavier briefly said
"You elf get Cyclops I got a ride." Logan said as he then started to run. Scott then ran up holding an unconscious Markus and looking very flipped
"Professor, Jean's been-" Scott said before he got interrupted by Xaviar
"Kidnapped we know now get in the car and bring Markus too." Xavier said as Scott then nodded
Scott first went to school and got out to inform Rogue of why Markus was not there.
"Rogue, sorry Markus has to cancel, we have some family business!" Scott said
"I guess family must be really important to you guys." Rogue said feeling kinda sad
"It really is." Scott said as Kurt then teleported him back to the X-Mansion to get briefed on Jean's situation
Logan rode up on his motorcycle and got Jean's scent before riding off again to find her.
Inside the Mansion...
"I've been in contact with Jean but she has no idea where she is, all I can tell is that she and Blob are somewhere in this area." Xavier said as he pointed to the screen showing the vicinity that Jean was into Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Cyclops, and a slightly injured Markus.
"Then let's move!" Cyclops said as they all loaded into the cars to start searching the area
Back with Fred and Jean...
"This is gonna be the best night you've ever had… Dinner, and then some dancing." Fred said as he brought some napkins to the table
"Fred this is all wrong, now you can't force someone to like you." Jean said as he laid a napkin on her legs
"Why not, I'm stronger than everyone." Fred said as he raised his hands up
"Being nice usually works better." Jean said trying to get him to let her go
"Oh yeah I just remembered I've got a surprise for you." Fred said as he walked out of the room to grab something
"Hmm." Jean said as he walked away
Wolverine pulled up to the front of the building that Jean was being held captive in and took another sniff to make sure it was the right place
"I found 'em, the old ironworks at the south end and I'm going in." Wolverine said into his watch
"Logan, wait for backup." Xavier said as Wolverine turned off the watch not intending on waiting
"Logan has the location I'm transmitting coordinates." Xavier said through the com to both of the cars as both turned around and headed for the old ironworks
"Got it professor be there in three." Cyclops said as he and Phoenix closed in on Jean's location
Fred was in the front room grabbing something for Jean when an X was cut in the door and then broken down revealing a very angry Wolverine who jumped at Fred but was thrown back to the ground only making him angrier. As Wolverine got back up to attack Fred picked up a gas tank and threw it at him but missed. When it landed Jean heard it and started to try and free herself so she could help. As she continued to struggle to get out they continued to fight, Wolverine jumped at him again but was caught in midair and he forced him to the ground where he got on him and started to squish him.
"Can't breathe." Wolverine said as he struggled under the weight of Blob
"Jean's my friend, you can't take her from me!" Fred yelled at him
As Jean heard it get louder out there she tried even harder and ended up ripping out a filing cabinet from the floor
Cyclops and Markus arrive...
"Markus, you stay here, I don't want you to get hurt." Cyclops said as he jumped out of the car
"If you think I am gonna sit here while Jean is in danger then you're wrong." Markus said as he jumped out of the car as well but cringed with pain and grabbed his stomach
"Markus-" Cyclops tried to say but Markus interrupted him again
"Scott you know how much she means to me please, I can't lose her." Markus said as he stood up straight and was filled with courage to get his sister back.
"Okay Markus then let's go and save her." Cyclops said as he then ran to the big garage type door and blew it up.
"We're just giving her a way out through you if necessary." Cyclops said
As he then shot Blob with his beams but instead of getting heard Blob smiled and used his hand to block it and as he did he threw Wolverine at Cyclops and in Markus's weakened state he tried to catch them with his telekinesis but was too weak and then both fell on him knocking all three of them unconscious and Cyclops goggles off. Rogue then walks up and sees the goggles and the three of them on the ground and touches Cyclops face to gain his powers and before she walks off she also touches Markus face and smiles because for some reason she just can't help but feel happy when seeing him.
When Fred opens the door to where he was keeping Jean the filing cabinet goes flying at his face.
"NOBODY RESPECTS ME AND YOU'RE THE WORST, YOU PRETENDED TO BE MY FRIEND!" Fred yelled as he threw it back at her and she barely caught it before it hit her and he walked back out to pick up something bigger to throw at her but before he can he is hit in the back with a red beam and drops it
"LEAVE HER ALONE YOU YAHOO!" Rogue yelled at him
"Whatcha gonna do to me, maybe wear bad makeup." Fred says mocking her
"Didn't Mystique tell you what my power is?" Rogue said as she got closer
"No cause I don't care." Rogue said as he tried to throw something at her but it was stopped in the air and when she turned around she saw Markus standing there
"Well she is more powerful then you so you better back off and STAY AWAY FROM MY SISTER!" Markus said as he picked up a bid and heavy barrels and threw it at him and Rogue ran up and touched Blobs arm, Markus whom was a little groggy from telekinetically throwing the barrel due to his injuries, then ran into the room with Jean to untie her while Blob was distracted
"MY POWER IS YOUR POWER AND I CAN TAKE MORE THAN ONE!" Rogue said as she then flipped him over her shoulder and shot him while he was in the air
"I GOT TOO MUCH POWER EVEN FOR YOU, YOU CAN'T HURT ME I'M THE BLOB!" Fred said as he jumped back up
"Nah you're just garbage that wanted a date now tell you what I'm taking you out!" Rogue said as he ran at her but before he could jump her she shot him through the roof and he landed in the dump nearby.
"STOP LAUGHING AT ME!" Fred said as the birds circled him and he tried throwing things at him but just ended up slipping and falling
Markus, Jean, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine all sat there while Rogue put Cyclops goggles back on.
"There you go I only took a short-term dose of your power. You should be back to normal soon." Rogue said as he started shaking his head a bit
"Thanks for helping." Markus said as he helped Rogue up
"Don't mention it." Rogue said as she accepted his hand with a blush
"But why?" Jean said to her
"I don't know... I just don't know." Rogue said as she then ran off
"Hey wait!" Jean said as she tried to run after her but Wolverine grabbed her hand and pulled her back
"Easy Red let her go." Wolverine said as Jean turned to him
"But she-" Jean tried to say before she got interrupted again
"She ain't ready, trust me on this." Wolverine said as they watched her run off and Phoenix walked up to Jean and hugged her and she hugged back
"Okay so maybe she's part of the dark icky side but I figure we, like, totally owe her now." Shadowcat said as they all stood there
"Yeah yeah we do big time." Cyclops said as he put his hand on Jeans shoulder
