We see machinery activating as a light shows Logan in a tube hooked up into other machines as he wakes up, activates his claws, and simply walks away but runs into the wilderness and his archnemesis Sabertooth before waking up after falling out of his bed, revealing that these were past events in Logan's life.
In the late morning...
An alarm blared off before Kitty phased her hand through it and left her head to go to the bathroom, failing to see the "occupied" sign on the doorknob
"Wha- Hey, do you mind?" Rogue said in surprise to see Kitty before she phased out of the restroom. "The sign says occupied! The door was locked."
"Who can read at this hour? Kitty asked, trying to defend her actions before Rogue slammed the door in front of her. "Sorry!" She replied before going back to their room to type an email for her parents.
"Dear Mom and Dad, today started out just like the other school days, with everyone feeling a little... crowded. Me included. Especially with a roommate like Rogue. Though it's not really easy to get close to her or healthy either unless you're a laid back guy like Markus then you might have a chance." She said in her mind as she typed before Rogue came in to blow dry her hair and left the room before encountering the others who were returning from training. "Finding a place to be alone around here is really a matter of timing. Sometimes you have to settle. Like when Mr. Logan's around, but that's ok because he doesn't wanna talk to anybody." She continued before Logan noticed Kitty on the dining table typing on her computer.
"What's the matter, half-pint? Am I reading too loud for you?" Logan asked
"Uh... no. Just enjoying how quiet it is." Kitty replied before the door bursted and the others came in to eat breakfast much to the dismay of Kitty. "It's like sometimes Mr. Logan can be so incredibly rude, you know?" She typed again before Logan increased the volume on the tv, reporting a bear attack on Mount McKenna
"Mount McKenna." Logan growled before leaving the kitchen
"Hey Logan, you ok?" Scott asked but got no reply
"What's wrong with him?" Ella asked
"Nothings wrong with him, he's a bit of a loner that's all." Markus said before he munched on his cereal
"I mean, Professor Xavier is always saying that we're kind of like a family here, and we all have to get along, but Mr. Logan doesn't act like it, he's always going off, doing this alone wolf thing, I mean it's not like his life is so much tougher than ours." She typed before leaving and saw three sets of claws going through a door when she walked down a hallway. "Mr. Logan?" Kitty asked as she heard a ruckus before Logan bursted out "Oh, hi. Sorry, I-, Are- Are you ok?" Kitty then asked
"Yeah, fine. Fine. Just... redecorating." Logan replied before shutting the door
Later...
"Kurt is one of the youngest and he is a bit immature but not too much, you know? Some of the kids here are pretty nice. Like Scott, he tries to be responsible for Professor Xavier and the other students and other times, he acts just like a regular high school kid. Thank God for Professor Xaiver, He keeps the lid on things around here. Not an easy job sometimes, especially with Mr. Logan, I bet he really gets after him for trashing his room." She typed as she saw Professor Xavier with Logan outside
"Something in that news story, I don't know what... set me off." Logan explained to Xavier
"Let's, uh... Let's talk about it, sit down." Xaiver replied as Logan sat to talk
"Charles, there's something in my head, buried there. How about you get inside and see if you can pry it loose?" Logan proposed
"All right, but I need you to relax." Xavier replied
"Ha! Yeah, easy for you to say." Logan laughed before the Professor put his hand on Logans forehead and saw some flashback on Logans Weapon X days before he broke it up
"Oh, tell me that was a dream or something." Logan said
"No, a memory. Long forgotten or rather, suppressed. I believe that was a glimpse of how you came to acquire your unusual implements. Do you wish to continue?" Xaiver replied before asking to continue the telepathic session
"Go for it." Logan replied before the session continued, revealing more flashbacks of Logan, being trained as an animal and fighting Sabretooth, then the session ended
"Are you all right?" Charles asked
"Whatever happened to me, that's where it started, with that ghoul in the black coat. He's the guy who did this! I gotta go." Logan replied before leaving
"You're going to that mountain in Canada, aren't you? The one you saw on tv and in your nightmares." Xavier explained
"Happen to pick that up while inside my head?" Logan replied
"Well, I guess I'd better sign off before someone pops in here and finds me. He is always doing that, totally freaks me! Besides, I'm about to be late for school." Kitty typed but this time inside the X-Jet before she heard a knock on the door and the door opened, in which Ella walked in where Kitty was
"Why are you here?" Ella asked
"Out of, like, necessity." Kitty replied out of annoyance
"Whatever, come on, Scott's giving us a ride to school." Ella replied
"All I wanted was just one minute alone in this whole stupid mansion!" Kitty said as she closed her laptop
"Yeah I get that sometimes, when a house is so crowded you want to be alone, besides-" Ella tried to explain before the X-Jet was rumbling, knocking Kitty and Ella off of their feet as it took off.
"It's Logan." Ella said as she wanted to talk to Logan but Kitty stopped her
"I wouldn't, he's been acting, like, mega-weird, all morning." Kitty warned
"Oh, don't be so dramatic, hey Logan what are you-" Ella shrugged before she was very close to being shredded by Wolverine and ran back to Kitty's side to protect her
"Still think I'm dramatic?" Kitty asked with a smirk on her face
"Nope, no you are not." Ella said
"Engage... autopilot... Why... are you following me?" Logan growled before he stood up and went to Ella's nd Kittys direction
"We're not following you. It's just-" Kitty tried to explain before Logan tried to slash at her before Ella saved Kitty
"Now you made him angry." Ella said as she braced for the worst
"I gotta... take you back before-, you gotta get away, there's something in my head! I can't control it!" Logan shouted before activating a door to separate him and the two teens before he slashed at the door
"He's shut himself in so we can be safe." Kitty said
"He's going berserk and driving the plane, You call that safe? We gotta get outta here." Ella replied
"I guess we are stuck in here, question is, where are we flying to?" Kitty asked
Later on...
The X-Jet has now landed near Mount McKenna and Wolverine leaves into the wilderness with Ella and Kitty now dressed in her uniform not far behind
"Did you get into the cockpit?" Kitty asked as Ella catches up to her
"Yeah, but something's jamming the transmitter way out here, I couldn't reach the Institute." Ella explained
"Looks like we're on our own then." Kitty replied before they both went into the Canadian wilderness
Meanwhile in an undisclosed location...
"Excellent. You see, that chip in his brain is still active after all these years. Oh, I did such good work those days... And yet, through sheer force of will, he managed to subdue it... until now." The scientist by the name of Cornelius explained
"Why now?" The figure in the dark said
"Oh, I suppose he just got too comfortable with Xavier, let his guard down. Certain news footage did the rest. Isn't that right, Bigfoot?" Cornelius explained then asked
"Don't call me that." Sabretooth said as he revealed himself
"Tell you what, Sabretooth. Why don't you go with our old colleague?" Cornelius asked as Sabretooth left to find Wolverine
"Wolverine" Sabretooth shouted
"Sabretooth! I thought something was stunk about this forest!" Wolverine replied as they both started to fight which ended with Sabretooth on the floor "Alright, fuzz bub, playtime over. Now I want some answers!"
"You'll get your answers, Wolverine, but you'll wish you hadn't." Cornelius said as he suddenly appeared and activated something which overrides the chip into making Wolverine pass out
"Welcome home." Sabretooth said
Back in the undisclosed location...
"You've aged remarkably well, Logan, if at all your recuperative powers have served you well. Now it's time they served me, especially since your enhancements represent quite the financial investment." Cornelius explained as they went through the base where Logan received his adamantium claws.
"Ah, Bigfoot." He said as Sabretooth entered the room "Are we ready for training?"
"We are." Sabretooth replied before Cornelius started typing on a computer
"And I see our test subjects are in position as well." Cornelius added as the computers showed camera footage of Kitty and Ella exploring the forest
"No!" Logan shouted as they mentioned Kitty and Ella as their subjects in which Cornelius activated the chip in Logan's, brain to become a order-biding soldier
Meanwhile with Kitty and Ella...
"Man, it's like he just dropped out of sight somewhere." Kitty said
"I think he's back." Ella replied as he saw Logan
"Mr. Logan! Over here!" Kitty shouted to get Wolverines attention
"And I think he got backup!" Ella shouted
"Sabretooth? But they're like mortal enemies!" Kitty said
"Yeah... Ours!" Ella shouted as she and Kitty ran from the duo of Sabretooth and Wolverine
"KITTY!" Ella shouted as Kitty fell off a small cliff to the snow floor
"Mr. Logan, it's me! What's the matter with you?" Kitty pleaded before Logan stopped himself in his tracks, resisting the chips control for a moment before chasing her down again while cutting down trees, before phasing a big tree and almost falling off a big cliff
"Kitty, Kitty!" Ella shouted while trying to find her before Sabretooth gave chase to her
"Kitty... no, NO!" Logan shouted as he thought that he killed her, but failed to see that she phased upwards of the cliff and was behind Logan who almost killed her if he didn't stop at the last moment, then Ella found the pair
"We are getting out of here." Ella said, trying to bring Kitty with her but she resisted
"No, wait! I'm reaching him... It's me, Kitty. Remember? Half-pint? Please, try. We had breakfast together earlier... Kinda? Look, whatever they did to you, you are fighting it. You can win, don't give up! Do you really want to hurt me, Mr. Logan?" Kitty said as she was reaching out to Logan in which succeeded a Kitty hugged Logan
"Wrong move!" Sabretooth said as he made a surprise attack on Logon in which he repelled and ran towards the undisclosed location with Kitty and Ella following suit
"Sabretooth, where is he?" Cornelius asked
"He entered the lab." Sabretooth replied as Logan is cutting down the door to Cornelius's location
"Don't make me do this, Logan." Cornelius said as he readied the self destruct button to Logans chip
"Get out of my way!" Sabretooth shouted as he saw Ella and Kitty in his way
"Touch me and I'll knock you out!" Ella threatened as Kitty phased through the door behind them
"I warned you!" Cornelius shouted as he tried to take control of Logan
"Ok, I see the problem!" Kitty shouted as she phased through the computer, rendering it useless "Whoo! It's about to get really hot here!" Kitty said as she phased out of the computer which was about to explode as Ella, Logan and Kitty got out of the base before it blew up but after they left, Logan passed out
Later in the evening...
"Relax, my friend. You're back at the Institute, you're safe." Xavier said as Logan woke up fast
"What about the kids? Where are they?" Logan asked
"Both fine. Kittys, been In here every hour checking on you after the surgery." Xaiver explained
Meanwhile upstairs...
"Oh just relax everyone, no ones going to starve to death, besides my new friend needs some time alone." Ella said as she barred the team from the kitchen room by blocking the door so Kitty can have her alone time
"So, like I said in the morning, it's just been a normal day here at the Xavier Institute. Funny... cause I've been complaining how little space there has been. That's part of the deal when you've become part of a family." Kitty typed on her computer resuming on where she was while emailing her parents
