We see a disguised Mystique waiting in the airport at eight o'clock in the night, waiting for an important figure to show up
"I hope she gets here on time, if we are to defeat the X-Men I need her in my team." Mystique mentally said before a figure came up to her with her luggage
"Ah there you are... Please come with me, we have much to discuss and many people to meet." Mystique said as she opened the passenger side door for the mysterious figure
"I got the call, what is this about?" The figure asked as they both entered the car and Mystique starting and driving the car away from the airport
"Ever since Asteroid M imploded, your father has been outraged and has doubled down on finding special people like you to destroy Xaiver and his precious X-Men." Mystique said, partially explaining the aftermath of the Asteroid M incident
"And I assume I'm one of them? When do we strike?" The figure asked again
"Of course my dear, you are his daughter, and you will have your chance… For now, I want you to meet your teammates." Mystique said as she promised for the figure to meet the X-Men face-to-face and drove them towards the Brotherhood house
The next day at Bayville High...
We see Kurt struggling to open his locker
"Hi Kurt. You and your locker not speaking?" Kitty asked as she found Kurt
"Yeah! It's holding my history book ransom, and I'm late for class." Kurt said as Kitty looked if anyone was watching, which thank goodness no one was
"Well, you gotta know how to negotiate." Kitty said as she phased her hand into the locker to retrieve Kurt's book
"Thanks Kitty, I owe you one." Kurt said before leaving, then we see Scott and Jean walking around
"So how are things?" Scott asked
"Oh things are going fine, just doing my usual things: soccer practice, meetings, you know the usual." Jean replied
"Yeah? I just hope Ella's fine, you know, with what happened with Illyana." Scott said
"Yeah I hope so too." Jean said
"Jean, Scott." Ella said
"Hey Ella, how are you?" Jean asked
"I'm good, despite bumping into Illyana and the sort." Ella said
"Any plans after school?" Scott asked
"Just some homework to do, the usual." Ella replied as she started to head to her class as the bell rung
"Well, that's my cue, see you Scott." Jean said as she and Scott parted ways to their own classes
Later at the Brotherhood house...
It was a dark and stormy night as it began to rain as the car pulled up into the driveway and Mystique lead the mysterious figure to the front door as she entered
"I-is it really you?" Toad said before Mystique threw him away from her presence.
"Yep it's really you." Toad retorted
"What has happened to the team of tough mutants I assembled?" Mystique said in a disappointing tone as they have failed to defeat the X-Men constantly
"What are you talking about? We're tough as ever." Pietro retorted as he smirked with unfounded pride
"Are you? When was the last time you beat the X-Men? Never! They outshined you every time, But I have a plan to take a peg down... Gentlemen, meet your secret weapon." Mystique said as she first berated them for being failures before presenting them the new member of the team: Lorna Dane, the daughter of Magneto whose powers of magnetic manipulation could rival his own, but even with the suspicions, The Brotherhood do not know of Lorna's true parentage
Meanwhile in the X-Mansion...
We see Scott getting a drink from the fridge before finding Kurt hanging upside down
"Whoa! Kurt, what are you doing, sneaking around?" Scott exclaimed as Kurt accidentally frightened him before he asked
"Have you seen Kitty?" Kurt asked
"Yeah, she's been looking for you." Scott replied
"Oh man, her muffins this morning still haven't digested fully in my stomach! I wonder if they ever will." Kurt said, as he feared Kitty's cooking before he heard Kitty yell for his name so he teleported before she saw him
"Hey, Scott, have you seen Kurt? I need him to taste test my latest batch of my muffins." Kitty asked
"Uh, he just left." Scott said as he thought of a lie but decided to tell the truth regardless
"Dang it! Could you taste my muffins?" Kitty said asking Scott to try her muffins
"No thanks, I'm good with milk." Scott said remembering what Kurt said to him moments earlier
"Oh, ok." Kitty said as she felt a bit saddened as no one wanted to eat her muffins, she left and tries to find Jean to do the same
The next afternoon...
Lorna completely emptied out her luggage after sleeping in last night and started to put her clothes away as Mystique appeared
"Hello, Lorna. How was your sleep?" Mystique asked
"Great... I'm guessing you didn't want to talk about polishing nails or dying each other's hair, do you?" Lorna said as she wanted to get to the point
"Straight to the point, just like your father... So in a little while we'll be going out, so get dressed for this occasion." Mystique said as she was leaving after leaving a suitcase on her bed
"Occasion?" Lorna asked, confused on what Mystique meant
"Why, meeting your mortal enemies, of course.'' Mystique replied before she went downstairs and Lorna opened a suitcase that contained a green tiara to keep back her hair, metallic boots and wrist bands and a bathing suit on top of some pants in a lighter shade than the rest of the costume.
Back in the X-Mansion...
"Everyone, I need your attention." The Professor said as everyone dropped what they were doing to give their full attention to the Professor
"What's up Professor?" Markus asked as everyone started to suit up
"Cerebro discovered another signature... Her name is Lorna Dane. She has recently joined the Brotherhood and they are currently at the mall, I need you to investigate." The Professor said as he continued on before letting the others suit up and head over to the mall with the exception of Ella who is not a mutant
"I'll be back El." Markus said before rushing off to the car where most of everyone was waiting
Hours later after a drive...
The team went to the mall where it's been close for two hours as Kitty and Kurt phased and teleported respectively into the mall and opened the door for the others
"Man, this place looks different at closing." Kurt said as he looked at the empty and dark mall
"All right everyone, let's split up." Scott said as he, Jean and Markus go straight, Kurt and Rogue take the right and Kitty took the left, but after a couple of minutes they regrouped
"Nothing here." Kurt said, as he raised his shoulders and hands
"Maybe they are just, like, hiding." Kitty suggested
"No way, they aren't cowards, I know that." Rouge said
"You're correct... Rogue is it?" Lorna said as she appeared on the balcony above the team
"So your Lorna huh?" Markus said as he got himself ready for a fight
"And you're the famous Markus Grey, the one father keeps telling me how impressive and powerful you are." Lorna said as she was intrigued about Markus via her fathers conversations about him
"Shall we dance then?" Markus said as he and the others gotthier powers ready
"I thought you'd say that..." Lorna said as she revealed her costume
"Aw great, don't tell me your ANOTHER witch, we just beat one a month or so ago." Markus said as the others redeadied their stance
"I'm not a witch... I'm Polaris!" Lorna shouted as she used her power of magnetic manipulation to fight off the X-Men, they started to fight back but due to sheer power and intensity of Polaris's powers, it seemed one-sided
"Magnetic manipulation!?" Scott shouted as everyone took cover, away from Lorna's prying eyes
"Yes and I am what you suspect… I am Magneto's daughter! But I know what you X-Men are… Puppets of Charles Xaiver and are made to be only weapons for the humans to use." Polaris shouted as she revealed her true heritage and accused the X-Men as weapons for humans
"Wait what?… That doesn't even make any sense!" Markus tried to say before he took cover as a huge piece of metal shrapnel was close to impaling him
"Professor! Are you hearing this?!" Jean said telepathically, trying to communicate with The Professor
"Yes Jean, Cerebro was being slower than usual, that is why I only had partial information on Lorna." The Professor responded telepathically
"I've done enough… Mystique will be pleased to hear of this, and I promise you X-Men, my father WILL show you the true way for us to have peace!" Polaris said as she claimed victory over the X-Men but knew deep down the fight would be far from over and that her father would still convince our young heroes that coexistence is not possible
"Man… And I thought the Brotherhood was bad." Markus retorted as everyone peeked from their own cover just in time to see Polaris fly away
"Why didn't she just kill us if she was with the Brotherhood?" Kurt asked, confused as to why she left them alive
"Remember the last time we ran into Magneto?… He doesn't want to kill us, he's trying to convince us that a peaceful resolution, The Professor's way, would not work." Scott replied
"Jean, Jean is everyone alright?" The Professor asked, worried for his students
"Everyone is ok Professor, we did get our butts kicked though… She's just as, if not more than, powerful than Magneto." Jean replied telepathically as everyone checked up with each other
"I am sorry my X-Men, I should have told you all to wait till I got all of the information on Lorna, You've done enough tonight, just come home." The Professor said in disappointment, not in his students but himself as he should have all the information on Lorna before striking.
"On our way." Jean replied as everyone left the somewhat broken mall to come back home to the Mansion
