Normal POV
Aichi woke up as usual. But something was off when he saw his bedroom. There were two beds and one of them, Kai was supposed to be sleeping but he wasn't on his bed.
" He woke up so early?" Aichi said
He changed his clothes as he headed down to the dining room to see all his friends there.
" Good morning, everyone!"
" Good morning!"
" Where's Kai-kun?" Aichi ask
" Look out there." Miwa said
He pointed to outside as Aichi spotted Kai and Koutei fighting.
" Again?" Aichi ask
" Yeah. Whenever there's an opportunity, Kai's always at it." Miwa replied
" I see."
" Aichi. You have a schedule today. And since Kai is under you, he'll have to follow you the whole day. As for the first thing to do, you'll be shocked." Takamina said
" What is it?" Aichi ask
" It's a variety show. You'll have to go on it with Ren and Leon as members." Yuuko replied
" Huh?!"
" Why me?! I'm not even a member!" Leon said
" But Tsubasa-san arranged it... So you have to go." Takamina said
" Yay! It's going to be fun!" Ren cheered
" With you, I'm not so sure..." Leon muttered
They laughed as they started eating before the four set off. The director was already rolling the cameras the minute they were done explaining about what the variety show is about.
" Hello everyone! I'm Aichi Sendou!"
" My name is Ren Suzugamori!"
" I'm Leon Souryuu. Kind of acquaintance with the Souryuu sister idols."
" What are we supposed to do for this?" Ren ask
" From now on, you three will be doing a mission that requires a few strengths of yours. Firstly, you see that behind you, right? That's called the Flying Fish. Two people will be sitting in it and ride on it. The third member will solve a mental mathematical problem-" The director explained when Ren interrupted
" Me! I'll do the question! I'm good at this!" Ren said
" That's why, listen to the end... If you can't solve the question, the two will have to keep going again until you get the right answer. So if Aichi-san and Leon-san are ready, please put on the life vests and go on the ride." The director said
Aichi and Leon did as instructed and wore the life vests. They got onto the ride with directions on how to lie on it. They also noticed the attached cameras on the ride.
" Now when I blow this whistle, we can start." The director said
" We can solve the questions too, right?" Aichi ask curiously
" Of course. Now, start!" The director said
The whistle was blown as the question was given.
" 55 x 34 x 14 equals?"
" What?!"
The ride started and it was truly a flying fish. Soon, both Aichi and Leon were flying in the air, dragged along by the boat and screaming.
" What?! The question...!" Leon screamed
" What... 55 x 34 x... AAAAHHHH!" Aichi screamed
Meanwhile, Ren was having a blank look.
" I can't do it on paper?" Ren ask
" No. That's why I said to listen till the end." The director replied
" Oh no..." Ren muttered
Kai was watching them and sweat dropping when Ren couldn't solve it. Soon, Aichi and Leon returned, exhausted from the short ride.
" So what is the answer?" The director ask
" Um... 156?" Ren guessed
" WHAT?!"
" It's more than that!" Leon shouted
" Okay, here's the next question. 67 x 20 x 48 equals?"
" HUH?!"
The ride set off again as Ren once again has a blank look.
" Uh... 67 times 20 times... 46?" Ren ask
Sweat drop...
" REN/-SAN!"
" I'm sorry..." Ren said
With all the thinking, Ren stared off into space until Aichi and Leon returned again.
" What's the answer?"
" Um... 2,545?" Ren ask
" WHAT?!"
" Ren-san..." Aichi whimpered
" I should have known better than to trust you..." Leon whimpered
" I'm sorry!" Ren apologized
" You better do better this time. Sendou and I are going to turn crazy if you don't solve it soon." Leon said
" I'm sorry..."
" Now, next question. 11 x 6 + 55 equals?"
" Oh! That's easy!" Ren said
The ride set off again as Ren took some time to solve the question.
" 121?" Ren ask
" Correct!"
Ren cheered as the ride came back and the two climbed back up to surface with difficulty.
" Are you okay?" Ren ask
" No thanks to you..." Leon said
" Sorry..."
" What's next?" Aichi ask
" Here's a clue to the last game. Now, onto the next game. Since we're in the water, it's the Flying chair game." The director explained
Aichi and Leon were shocked as they were mentally defeated.
" Not again..."
" Two will have to sit on the flying chairs and if you answer wrongly, you'll be sent off for a ride and get thrown off the chairs. If answered correctly, we can go on to the next game." The director said
" Okay. So what are the conditions to win?" Leon ask
" You need to guess the AKB song that we're going to play, but without lyrics. So pick a member."
" Then I'll go up! Aichi-kun, you lost some of your memories, so we can't depend on you." Ren whispered
" R-Right..."
Aichi and Leon got on the chairs as the song was played.
" This song..."
" I know this one." Aichi said
" Um... Beginner?" Ren ask
" HUH?!"
The chair suddenly moved backwards and threw both of them off as Aichi and Leon both fell into the water.
" It's not?" Ren ask
" It's Heavy Rotation!" Aichi shouted
" They just sang it yesterday!" Leon shouted
" Oh yeah..."
" The next song." The director said
The song was played as Ren pondered.
" Oogoe Diamondo?"
The two braced themselves again as they were thrown off again.
" It's River, Ren-san!" Aichi shouted
" You shouldn't have gone up!" Leon shouted
" Sorry..."
" Let's go on to the next song..."
The song was played as Ren knew what it was.
" Sasae!"
" Correct!"
The two behind him heaved a sigh of relief as they got down from the chair.
" So, what's next?" Ren ask
" Dry up and change. We'll head to the next location. Here's the next clue." The director said
" Okay."
They did as told and changed as they headed to a field to see a nightmare.
" Are those mats?" Ren ask
" Not just any mats..." Aichi replied
" Okay, this is an acupressure showdown. We have five people to challenge you today. If you fall off the mat, you're out. The team who gets two points first wins. If it's a tie, there'll be a need for a third point." The director explained
" Yes..."
The five opponents came out as they couldn't help but leave their mouths open a little.
" Asaka!"
" Jillian!"
" Kai-kun?! Naoki-kun and Shingo-kun?! Wait... I thought Kai-kun was supposed to be..." Aichi exclaimed
He looked over to where Kai was supposed to be at and noticed that Mwia had taken his place.
" So these three will be your opponents. Please step on the mat. No shoes please." The director instructed
They took off their shoes as they stepped onto the mat and they literally screamed really loud.
" This is no joke!" Naoki screamed
" Let's just get this over with! We just need to eliminate the three!" Jillian said
" Yeah!"
The whistle was blown as they decided who would try to go first.
" Ren, you go." Leon whispered
" Huh?!"
" Asaka-san, try it." Shingo said
" B-But..."
Both stepped out with their soles hurting.
" I can't do this!" Ren whined
" Now, Asaka-san!" Jillian shouted
Asaka blushed while trying to push Ren, but in the end, fell onto the soft mattresses on the floor when Ren shifted his positioning.
" Oh. Are you alright, Asaka?" Ren ask
" Yes! I'm alright!" Asaka replied
" R-Ren-san! Look out!" Aichi shouted
He looked in front to see Naoki approaching with Shingo as he stepped back.
" Keep going!" Leon said
" I can't do this alone! Kai's supporting them from behind!" Ren whined
" Alright, we'll go." Leon said
The two stepped up as Naoki first grabbed Aichi.
" Got ya!" Naoki said
" Think again." Aichi said
He pulled Naoki to their field as Leon and Ren handled the others while Aichi dealt with Naoki. Naoki was thrown off the acupressure mat as he fell onto the soft mat.
" He's crazily strong..." Naoki said
Aichi went back to deal with the others as he saw that Jillian, Shingo and Ren were eliminated, leaving Leon, him and Kai.
" Just him left... Come on, Sendou." Leon said
" Yes."
They approached Kai as Kai saved Aichi for last and headed for Leon, causing him to fall off the acupressure mat.
" Now only you are left." Kai said
Aichi gulped as Kai grabbed his wrist and pulled him close so that he could say something into his ear that made Aichi both mad and embarrassed. He kicked Kai's leg and push him down onto the soft mat as his team got one point.
" Kai. This is not a love game. What did you say to him?" Ren ask
" Nothing in particular." Kai replied
" Well, I'm sure we'll still see each other in our room anyway. I'll be waiting for tonight." Kai thought, smirking
They got back up onto the mat again.
" Now, one more round and your team will win. Begin!"
The whistle was blown again as they started again. This time, Naoki went up again as Aichi hid behind Ren and gave him a surprise attack, causing him to fall back down onto the soft mat.
" You idiot, muscle head!" Shingo shouted
" Shut it, Granny Glasses!" Naoki shouted
While they were arguing, Ren took the chance to push Shingo down as he fell onto the soft mat. Kai stepped up and pushed Ren while his guard was down.
" Ren! You shouldn't let your guard down!" Leon shouted
" I'm sorry!"
Leon was approached by Kai as well and pushed down while he was disciplining Ren. Now, their team only left Aichi.
" Three versus one is so unfair... " Aichi said
" Good luck, Aichi-kun!" Ren cheered
Kai grabbed Aichi's hands as he was pulled towards him.
" No choice..." Aichi thought
He sat himself down onto the acupressure mats as Kai had difficulty picking him up. Aichi kept slipping himself out of Kai's grip. The girls went to help but it was the same result. In the end, while trying to help Kai, the two girls fell down to the soft mats by accident.
" Don't make this difficult for me..." Kai said
He tried to pick him up again but Aichi slipped out of his grip again. Aichi pushed Kai with all his might after standing up and Kai fell onto the soft mats. Aichi went down after the game and rubbed his painful soles.
" Yay! Aichi-kun, that was great!" Ren said
" He's too strong..." Naoki said
" Good job. This is the last clue. Now, we'll need to go to the last location." The director said
They headed to the last location as they saw a giant arena.
" This last game is hide and seek. You guys need to do a mission while the five who did the previous game with you will be coming to catch you in a few minutes time. The clues that you've got from the three games will be your clues to your missions, so I suggest you check it before the catchers arrives." The director said
They opened the first card.
" The mission is something that you'll find within the deep woods but be careful of traps within two mission items." Leon read
The second card was opened.
" Hey. These are bands?" Ren ask
" You'll need to put those bands on. If the chasing team tears that off, you'll lose the whole game." The director explained
The third card was opened.
" Priority card. You can choose your field. Buildings or Forest." Aichi read
" Since it says here, we can find it in the deep woods. I reckon we choose the forest." Leon said
" Yeah."
" We'll choose the forest then." Ren said
" Okay."
The ground shook as the arena turned into a giant forest habitat. They wore the bands as they got ready to go.
" How do I climb this?" Ren ask
" I think it was like this." Aichi replied
He climbed the tree easily without breaking a sweat and so did Leon.
" Living in an island has some advantages." Leon said
" Let me try!" Ren said
He tried to climb the tree.
" Careful. If you step on a thin branch, you need to be gentler. Otherwise, the branch will snap." Aichi said
Ren climbed up with some difficulties.
" Director-san, we can set off already, right?" Ren ask
" Yes. Go and do your mission. I just heard that the chasers are here." The director replied
They nodded and scaled each trees as mini flying cameras followed them.
" There's so many trees... I'm afraid we can't find them in time." Aichi said
" Should we split up?" Ren ask
" No. If we leave each other's side, there's a possibility that one of us would get caught. So staying together is the best solution." Leon said
" Okay."
Aichi climbed to another tree as he noticed something shining at the roots of another tree. He climbed down the tree as he pressed the button that he found. A piece of a gold medallion emerged as Aichi picked it up.
" This must be it." Aichi said
" Seems like we have to find two more pieces." Ren said
" Let's keep going." Leon said
A sound of bell ringing surprised them as they scurried back onto the trees. Kai and the others passed by.
" That was scary..." Aichi said
" Come on. Let's go that way." Leon said
They moved on the trees as they approached further into the forest. That was when Aichi spotted another of their piece of medallion. He picked it up. That was when a cone appeared in front of them. A paper was on the ground.
" Let's see... The three of you need to sit on the cone for three minutes with your legs off the ground before you can set off to the last medallion piece..." Aichi read
" This is crazy..." Leon said
" Agreed."
" So who's going to go first?" Ren ask
" You." Leon replied
" Huh?! Okay... I'll do more than one minute for sure! Or maybe even the whole thing." Ren said
He got ready to sit on the cone. He just sat on it, lifted his legs up and winced from the pain.
" It hurts..." Ren whined
" Ready. Go." Leon said
1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10... After the ten seconds, Ren fell off. Silence...
" I'll go next..." Leon said
Leon challenged it as he lasted even longer than Ren before falling off.
" 1 minute 20 seconds. He did better than you." Aichi said
" So Aichi-kun has to do 1 minute 30 seconds. Good luck." Ren said
Aichi sat on the cone and winced. He sat there for awhile before falling off.
" 1 minute 25 seconds. We were close. If only someone had done even more..." Leon said
" Sorry..." Ren apologized
They got ready to do the second round.
" What are you doing? Hurry up and do this." Leon said
Ren walked over to the cone and sat on it. He lasted longer than last time and he was still stubbornly clinging on. Soon, three minutes went past and Ren got up before collapsing from the enormous pain.
" That was amazing, Ren-san!" Aichi said
They massaged his aching bottom before realizing something was off.
" Pfft..."
Aichi hid a stifled laugh in his sleeve and got up, facing another direction when he realized something while massaging.
" Are you serious?" Leon said
He also felt something off and tried to get it out. When he managed to force it out, it was a water bottle hidden in his pants.
" Who in the right mind would put a bottle into their pants?!" Leon exclaimed
That was when he got up as well and started laughing a little with Aichi.
" Let's redo it again... This time, no cheating..." Aichi said
" Yes..."
They each sat on the cone and finally got three minutes. They started to leave when they heard more bells ringing. Kai and the others spotted them and were chasing them now.
" Run!"
The three ran and climbed the trees to escape. Leon turned back and stopped the other two.
" They're gone..." Leon said
" What a relief..." Ren sighed
" We should keep going. We found two pieces. But I wonder if they fit... After all, there could be fakes." Aichi said
He fitted the two pieces together and they joined together.
" Looks like this is real. Just have to find the last piece. Let's go." Leon said
They nodded and wandered through the trees. Ren spotted something shining on the trunk they were standing on and found the last piece.
" Got it!" Ren said
A card flew down and Leon caught it.
" Squat up and down once before you spin a member of your team around your waist once for each member. Passing of the member spinning, the member's feet cannot touch the ground or you'll have to redo again. The catchers cannot tear the band inside the area you're in until you complete the mission. If you can't do it, you'll have to redo it again. But..." Leon said
" Even I feel it's going to turn bad, awkward and embarrassing..." Aichi said
" Let's do it before Kai and the others come! Hurry!" Ren said
" Y-Yeah..."
They went down as they stepped on the ground.
" So who's going to be spinning?" Aichi ask
Both Leon and Ren stared at Aichi almost immediately he asked. Aichi was stunned and pointed at himself.
" No! I-I can't! B-Besides, I might be too heavy for Leon-kun!" Aichi reasoned
" It's an unanimous vote. Hurry up. We can't waste anymore time!" Ren said
He lifted Aichi off his feet as Aichi blushed.
" So... How do I do this?" Ren ask
" Squat up and down once." Leon replied
Ren squatted down with Aichi in his arms and a sound was heard. Ren stood back up again.
" Wait a minute. I could have sworn I heard a bone cracking..." Leon said
" R-Ren-san, are you alright?" Aichi ask
" I guess I didn't stretch enough... So all that's left is the spinning, right?" Ren ask
Leon nodded in response. Ren tried to spin Aichi around his waist but got stuck midway.
" How am I going to get you back here?!" Ren ask
" You wanted me to be it so think of something!" Aichi said
The sound of bells rang as Kai and the others appeared, looking at the scene in front of them.
" Y-Yo, Kai..." Ren greeted
He accidentally released Aichi from his hands as he fell on his bottom.
" Ow!"
" I-I'm sorry!" Ren apologized
" I-It's okay..." Aichi said
Leon rushed to help him up.
" You can't tear our bands while we're doing this." Leon said
" Then hurry up." Kai said
Ren lifted Aichi up again. Ren looked over to Kai to see his eyes twitching. He squatted down and stood up again.
" Ready?" Ren ask
" Yeah."
Ren threw Aichi's feet to the back as he switched hands. His right hand supported Aichi's legs as his left hand supported Aichi's body.
" One more time." Ren said
He let go of his left hand as Aichi easily spun the half round.
" We should've done this earlier..." Aichi sighed
" Leon-kun, your turn." Ren said
Ren passed Aichi to Leon as Leon flinched a little. Given his form, his height and weight are almost the same as Aichi's, so this is making it difficult for the both of them.
" Good luck, Leon-kun." Aichi cheered
Leon squatted and stood with difficulty. Aichi then kicked his legs off to make it easier for Leon to catch his legs and body with the switched hands.
" Just one more..." Ren said
Aichi kicked off again as Leon managed to catch him. They heaved a sigh of relief.
" Now then... Run!" Ren said
The three ran off again as Aichi fitted the final piece and the game was over.
" Congratulations for winning. Here's your prize for the win. Thank you and we'll see you in the next episode." The director said
The three heaved a sigh of relief after the cameras went out.
When the programme was viewed on the television of the whole AKB building, some literally laughed.
" How could you not know that mathematics question?!" Naoki laughed
" The AKB songs were sang yesterday and you forgot?!" Yuuko laughed
" The mats look like they hurt really badly..." Rekka said
Ren was still rubbing his sore sole from the pain.
" Aichi and Leon are even better climbers than you..." Misaki said
That was when they saw the cone sitting incident. Leon was drinking water to avoid laughing. However... When it came to the water bottle being forced out, he literally spit the water out.
" Who in the right mind put a water bottle in there? Seriously..." Leon muttered
" But I thought it was really a good idea..." Ren said
" I've never seen such an idiotic guy like you before..." Leon said
" Where's Aichi?" Kourin ask
" He went to get something to drink. Now that I think about it, he's taking quite long..." Ren said
" Wonder what Brother's doing?" Kamui said
Miwa was looking around too.
" Huh? Where's Kai?" Miwa thought
Meanwhile, Aichi was in the kitchen making something to drink. He heard footsteps behind him as he turned around to see Kai standing there.
" Hello, Kai-kun. Would you like some tea or coffee? I'm making some blueberry tea right now." Aichi said
He drank some of the tea from the cup as Kai approached him.
" Aichi. Can I ask you? How did it feel when those two carried you and spun you around?" Kai ask
Aichi gave a questionable glance before realizing it.
" Kai-kun. Are you... Jealous?" Aichi ask
Kai flinched as Aichi giggled.
" But you looked like you had fun when you did that..." Kai said
" I'm not. It's embarrassing, that's why I was blushing." Aichi said
Kai approached even closer to him. Aichi drank his tea again and set it down. That was when he felt hands on his shoulders. Kai turned him around and kissed him. Aichi's eyes were wide open with the sudden kiss, but gave in and kissed back. Kai kept taking in the scent of blueberries, probably from the tea but he's more than satisfied. They broke apart after awhile and Aichi went back to making some coffee for Kai. He handed the cup of coffee to Kai as he took it and drank it.
" It's delicious." Kai said
" Thanks. Kai-kun, you know that the audition is in three days time, right? Are you ready?" Aichi ask
" Maybe. But I still think I need to learn a lot more from you, don't you think so?" Kai ask
" Really? I think you're more than qualified. Just so you know, the judging is based on points of the judges. Don't blame me if I'm too fierce." Aichi said
" Of course I know. You're always fierce." Kai said
" Not always. At least, I'm still patient. Show me your best shine on stage, Kai-kun." Aichi said
" I can't beat you but I'll do my best, so that I can stay here to be with you. Maybe I can even join the show you're in and punish Ren if he makes any trouble like before. I can even spend more time with you. Oh yeah, you can leave the deal for tonight." Kai said
Aichi smiled.
" But... On one condition... Call me Toshiki from now on." Kai said
" H-Huh?! I-It's too sudden!" Aichi said
" Really? Then I won't join the audition?" Kai said
" H-Huh?! I-I got it! T-Toshiki-kun..." Aichi said
" What was that? I can't hear it." Kai said, cupping a hand on his ear teasingly
" T-Toshiki-kun..." Aichi said
" One more time." Kai said
" Toshiki-kun!" Aichi said
Kai smirked and put his hands around Aichi's waist and pulled him in close to him.
" Much better. I'll definitely do my best with your support." Kai said
Aichi smiled as they kissed once more, the sky turning dark for their romantic moment.
