Chapter 11: This is my quest, to follow that star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far. {1/2}
"Come on! Come on!"
Dante Rembrandt Parker was sitting down on his room, wearing a black tank top and black sweatpants, watching some old video that he had on his computer on the TV. Which was basically a video of a summer he spend on Greendale.
Suddenly, he heard steps coming and he paused the video. Then Betty and Kevin entered the room carrying some microwaved popcorn.
"Here you go." Kevin handed him a bag.
"Thanks buddy." Dante thanked him.
The day after the banquet at the Belmont Lodge, Dante immediately told Betty about what he overheard Mr. And Mrs. Blossom say. That they actually were the ones that sent Veronica's dad to jail and they instantly made him a suspect for Jason's murder as that gave him a perfect motive. Once school day was over, Betty asked Dante if she and Kevin could pass on his house to talk more about it. But they ultimately decided to watch a movie together.
"What are you watching?" Betty asked as she sat down with a bag of popcorn at hand.
"One of the videos I had stored." Dante explained as he opened a large bag of M&Ms and mixed them with the popcorn. "It's from a summer I spent on my aunts's home."
"You fighting against a guy wearing speedos." Kevin pointed out.
The paused video had the image of Dante, on his Karate fighting stance wearing black swimming trunks. And a guy on a wrestling fighting stance, wearing blue speedos. The guy was a tall and handsome young man, with wavy blonde hair and a athletic figure.
"Let's rewind a bit an you'll understand." Dante decided to restart the video to give them some contest.
"What is this, a pool party?" Betty asked as she eat some popcorn.
Dante nodded in response. "One of my cousin's friend was throwing a party and she invited me to go, it took some convincing but I ended up accepting."
On the video, there was a considerable number of people inside the pool and the edges, and some were sunbathing on some nice looking chairs. Dante could be seem inside the poll, throwing water on a blond girl wearing a gray swimsuit. Suddenly , the blond girl shoves Dante into the water by pushing his head down.
"Is that your cousin?" Betty asked and Dante nodded.
"She's super cute, what's her name?" Kevin asked.
"Sabrina, Sabrina Spellman." His favorite cousin if he has to be completely honest.
The three then watched as the Dark Gentleman reemerge from the water and instantly be grabbed into a hug by his cousin, who wrapped his arms around his neck tightly and pressed her front into his.
Betty giggled s bit, probably because it was adorable. "You two seem very close."
"I'm close to all of my family members there, which is why I used to spend every summer with them." Dante explained to Betty. He would always spend his summers at the Spellman's home.
Suddenly, the camera moved towards two people telling at one another in the grass behind the chairs where people were sunbathing. It showed a girl wearing white shorts and a blue T-shirt and the guy whom Dante was fighting later on the video.
"Nice ass." Kevin commented as it showed the behind of the guy wearing blue speedos.
Suddenly, the guy groped the girl's chest and she punched the guy in the face, only for the guy to punch her back.
"Oh my god!" Betty was shocked by what she saw.
"What the hell was that?!" Kevin immediately asked Dante.
Dante paused the video to explain. "That guy is called Billy Marlin, basically a scumbag football player like the ones we got in Riverdale High." Jason was probably the only football player that Dante ever met that wasn't a shithead. "The... Girl... Is one of my cousin's best friends, Susie Putnan." He was trying to find the right words to talk about Susie. "Susie, identifies herself as non-binary, and... Let's just say... Billy and his asshole friends constantly mess with her because of it." Dante didn't know whether he should say "she" but he didn't know how else to say it. "Apparently, Billy wanted to see if Susie had... Breasts."
Both Kevin and Betty were visibly disgusted by that.
"If what is worth..." Dante played the video again, they watched Billy laughing at Susie. Only for his laughter to be interrupted by Dante coming out of the pool alongside Sabrina and charging at him, and delivering a flying kick into his chest, causing him to stumble back and falling into the ground.
"Wosh!" It was Kevin's reaction.
Sabrina immediately went to check on Susie, who fell into the ground as soon as the punch landed. But the camera then focused on Dante, who was yelling at Billy. But the football player simply stood up and tried to throw a right haymaker at Dante, but the boy in black swimming trucks just parried the punch with his left forearm before throwing a palm strike into his face, basically driving his palm into his nose.
"Ouch!" Kevin commented while cringing, as it was pretty obvious that Dante broke Billy's nose.
Betty covered her eyes, but she left a gap to keep watching.
Billy stumbled back a bit while holding his nose in pain. But Dante didn't let him recover, and delivered a back kick into his stomach, which caused him to fall back into the ground.
"Nice kick." Betty complimented him.
"Kicks were my second specialty in Karate class." Dante told her.
"What's your first specialty?" Kevin asked him.
"Counter-attacks." Dante always won his matches in the Karate Tournaments with counters.
In the video, Dante moved back after dropping Billy and went check on Susie with Sabrina. They could see that Susie's lip was bleeding from the punch. But while he was paying attention on Susie, Billy stood up from the ground and grabbed Dante from behind and did a suplex on Dante, slamming him hard into the grass.
"OWW!" Kevin made a sound that pretty much described what happened to Dante.
"Jesus Christ!" Betty justifiably said.
"Yeah, it turns out, Billy is part of the Wrestling team in his school." Dante pointed out while scratching his head.
Luckily, he was slammed on grass, which probably made the impact less painful. But it still hurted like hell, causing Dante to have a bit of difficulty in getting up from it, stumbling due to the dizziness that he was feeling. Which gave Billy the opportunity to actually land a left hook into Dante's face, which actually dropped him instantly.
"That's got to hurt." Kevin commented.
"Nah, I met a lot of heavy hitters in Detroit that can put this loser to shame." Dante commented as he got punched way harder than that on multiple occasions.
Once Dante fell on the ground, his cousin Sabrina went to his aid and stood in front of Billy, yelling at him loudly. She could have done it much worse, so that asshole should thank God that all she did was yell. But as they were trading insults with Susie joining her shortly after. Dante recovered from both the punch and the slam and stood up from the ground. Then he started to taunt Billy, the taunting workers, as Billy pushed Sabrina and Susie out of the way.
Now they returned to the part that Dante was watching before Betty and Kevin appeared, with camera man that Dante doesn't really remember who was it, approaching to film it up close.
"Come on! Come on!" Dante taunt the idiot in speedos.
Dante and Billy were now standing in front of one another, both on fighting stances but reluctant to engage as everyone around the party gathered to see the fight.
Seeing an opening, Dante delivered a roundhouse kick to his ribs, the kick landed and clearly caused some damage, but Billy managed to grab his leg and wrestle Dante into the ground.
Kevin and Betty definitely seemed to be engaged in the fight. As they were eating popcorn and seemed to be at the edge of their seats as they watched.
After Billy got Dante into the ground, the boy wearing black swimming trunks could only cover his face as the boy wearing blue speedos start to throw several punches while on top of him. But Dante was only waiting to have the positioning to do something, which was kicking him on the face as he was using his feet to keep him from mounting him.
"Wosh!" Kevin expressed while he eat his popcorn.
The kick caused him to stumble back a bit, which gave Dante the opportunity to stand up from the ground. He immediately close the distance between the two once again,Billy tried to punch him with a right haymaker, but Dante dodged by ducking and delivered a backhand strike to his cheek with his left fist followed by a right hook on the same spot. The hook rocked him a bit and made him stumble back a bit, which allowed Dante enough space to finish him off with a axe kick, which landed perfectly on his forehead, knocking him out coldly.
"Good nap motherfucker." Dante spoke out loud, basically to emulate what be said in the video.
"You actually said that?" Betty asked, with Dante giving her a thumbs up in response. "Can't say I feel bad for him." The blond girl commented in response of it.
Dante just eat a handful of popcorn and M&Ms.
"A question," Kevin had to ask something. "Why are you hotter in that video?" His gay friend asked him.
Kevin's observation had some foundation. In the video, Dante was in a much better physical shape. Which was evident by the nice looking abs that he was sporting.
"I got a little lazy since I moved here." Dante admitted. He used to get a lot of exercise back in Detroit, mostly by accompanying a group of thugs that he used to consider friends as they committed small crimes and by training Karate.
"You look okay, muscles aren't everything." Betty was quick to reassure him. Not that it was necessary though.
"So, any more videos of you there?" Kevin asked him.
"Ummm," He was a little confused. "Yeah..."
"Show us another one." Betty requested.
Dante only stared at the blond girl with a poker face, until he decided to ask. "Why do you, Polly, Veronica and, apparently now, Kevin, are so interesting in watching this old videos of me?" He had to ask as he couldn't understand why were they so interested in his life.
Betty seemed a bit embarrassed with that question, but she decides to answer his question. "Well... You're kind of a mysterious guy and, to a certain degree, it's fun to discover aspects about you that we didn't previously knew." The boy dressed in black was actually surprised by that answer. "I mean, you and Polly are so close, yet, there's a lot of things that she doesn't know about you."
There's was indeed a lot of things that they didn't know about him and sadly, they can't never know. Not that there's any consequences or anything but he's deeply afraid that they'll see him differently if he does. "Okay... What do you want to see." He press the remote control of the TV and the files where he wrote creative names for each video.
"Accidental orgy?!" Kevin noted the name that one of the files had.
Betty made a surprised face once she saw it too.
"Oh shit, I forgot about that one." Dante immediately responded in embarrassment.
"Is it... Really..." Betty was clearly a little embarrassed about the subject, but she seemed way too curious to not ask.
"Umm..." Dante didn't know how to respond. So he sighed. "Fuck it." He then put it on the video entitle "Accidental Orgy"
The video started with Dante standing in the middle of a really decorated room wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. He was talking to someone that could not be seem due to the angle of the camera.
"What the hell cousin?" Dante spoke with a amused expression on the video to someone that they couldn't see.
"Come on, I haven't done in a hell of a long time." They heard Dante's cousin speak.
"Join us." A third voice was heard. "I can tell you want to."
Dante stood there, reluctant while considering what the third voice said. But then suddenly, Dante started to take off his clothes. Which Kevin and Betty looked closely for some reason. But then the camera moved and to their shock, there was a bunch of people on the floor, enthralling into one another like a bunch of snakes during mating together.
"What is this...?" Kevin asked Dante as he observed them closely, precisely some of the naked guys on the video.
"My... Cousin had a involuntary guest on our aunts home and... Well... We had to... Treat her like royalty for... Reasons that I can't exactly explain." Dante did his best to explain what was happening on the video. "I... Went to check if she needed something, and when I entered the room, I ended up bumping into that." A number of very attractive guys and girls engaging in a orgy. But then Dante, who was wearing black trunks, got on the floor and crawled towards the girl that was the middle of the room. "That's the involuntary guest, Prudence Night." Prudence had dark skin and short wavy blonde hair. She also has luscious lips and dark brown eyes. She is a girl of tall stature with a slim figure. And she was wearing black lingerie.
Once Dante was close enough to her, he got on top of her and the two locked their lips together in a kiss of pure lustfulness.
Betty looked away visibly uncomfortable while Kevin just watched even more closely.
"Ummm... Were you two...?" Betty tried to ask if they were a couple or something.
"Not in a million years, that was purely physical." Dante clarified, although he was physically attracted to Prudence, he can't really stand her personality or the way she treats Sabrina.
"And put emphasis on the physical." Kevin added as they could see Prudence fondling Dante's ass.
While Dante and Prudence were making out quite intensively on the video while being surrounding by people engaging in a weird foreplay. Another person appeared and started to plant kisses on Dante's back. "That's Prudence's sister, Dorcas Night." Dorcas is a teen with red hair, blue eyes and pale skin. She was also wearing black lingerie.
"Holy..." Betty, although still embarrassed, couldn't resist anymore and started to watch again.
"Are they really sisters?" Kevin asked as the two girls practically tag-teamed on Dante.
"Nah, they're adoptive sisters." Or at least he hopes they are not related.
In the video, Dante turned around and also kissed Dorcas, who kissed him with the same lustfulness as Prudence. Soon enough, Dante was laying on his back, with the two sisters planting kisses on his face and chest. Until...
"What, seriously?." Kevin asked as a third girl appeared and joined the sisters.
"And... That's the third and last sister, Agatha Night." Agatha was a girl with black hair and brown eyes. She was also wearing black lingerie. Just like the two, she gave Dante an upside down kiss in full lustfulness before joining her sisters in kissing his body, his face and neck to be more precise.
As the Weird Sisters gang up on the Dark Gentleman, Dante spare a look at two guys making out right next to him. One of the two spare a look at Dante, a muscular dark skinned young man in his twenties. He laughed at Dante in amusement, which Dante laughed back. "That's my other cousin, Ambrose Spellman." The boy dressed in black explained. Ambrose was the one that put the camera there, probably because he wanted to re-watch it from time to time.
Before something actually explicit happened, Dante paused the video in embarrassment.
"Oh come one?!" But Kevin was frustrated. "Your cousin was about to get busy with that guy." Apparently, he got the hots for his cousin now.
"Exactly." It was Dante's response to his perverted gay friend.
"You seemed... Pretty close to those sisters." Betty was clearly a little shocked. Not that he could blame her.
"They have a... Strange infatuation with me since the day I met them." Dante replied. According to his aunt, the Weird Sisters are attracted to his power, whatever the hell she meant by that. "Can we please change the subject." He requested, already regretting showing them the video. But he knew that it would have lead to a lot of embarrassing questions otherwise.
"Can we see another one?" Kevin requested, as he clearly wants to see more of that. "I'm actually as curious as the girls now." Kind of understandable, considering that he just saw one of his friends in a orgy.
Dante sighed, he honestly just wanted to put on a movie or something but he decided to humor his friends a little more. "Fine," But he decided. "Just one more and Betty chooses." It was his last condition.
Betty just let out and amused smile before speaking. "Alright."
"Pick a good one." Kevin requested as he eat popcorn.
Dante handed the TV controller and allowed her to scroll down on the long list of videos that Dante possessed, until she found one that interested her. "Duel at Dorian's Gray Room?"
"Dorian Gray?" Kevin recognized the name. "Like in The Picture of Dorian Gray." He apparently read the book.
Dante didn't know how to explain that, so he decided to just invent a story. "Dorian's Gray Room is a gentleman's club, owned by a guy named Dorian Gray."
"Oh..." Kevin understood, luckily they didn't even considered that it's literally the same Dorian Gray from the book.
"But... Duel?" Betty was curious about that. But, she didn't let Dante answer, she just played the video to get some clarifications.
There it showcased the Club, Dante personally wasn't a fan of the place. Mostly because Dorian Gray clearly has the hots for him.
"Confession, I'm super jealous right now, because I really would like to visit a place like this." Kevin admitted as he apparently adored the fancy club.
"I would gladly take you there if I could, but it's like, super exclusive." Dante only got in because Dorian thought he was beautiful.
On the video, there was a strange gathering with several finely dressed guys circling around something. Inside the circle there was Dante, wearing a fully black tuxedo, standing in front of him, there was a young man with short blond hair wearing a red suit. In the middle of the two, there was another young man wearing gentleman's clothing from the 1800s, who had shoulder-length and curly golden hair. He was saying something that they couldn't really hear.
"Explanation, the guy on the red suit is called Luke Chalfant and the guy in the middle is Dorian Gray, the owner of the club." Dante gave them an explanation.
"What exactly is going on?" Betty asked him.
"Well..." Dante decided to just let them see it.
Once Dorian finish what he was saying he signaled the two of them to take a few steps back, once they did, the two of them removed the coats of their outfits and handed to the people next to them, then they roll-up their sleeves and prepared themselves. Dorian then reappeared with two swords, Italian dueling sabers to be more precise.
"Wait, it's a... literal duel?!" Kevin immediately questioned in surprise.
"Yup," Dante confirmed. "Don't ask why." It was a secret between him and Ambrose that he promised not to reveal.
Both Kevin and Betty eat the popcorn while they watched Dante prepared himself to duel against Luke, with Dante just watching them in amusement as they did.
On the video, both assumed an fighting stance.
Dante got into a personal fencing stance. With his right hand, which was carrying the sword horizontally, forward and his left hand next to his cheek with his legs slightly apart from one another.
Luke got into a more traditional fencing stance. With his right hand forward with the blade pointing at his opponent, his left hand at his hip and his legs bend ans spread apart.
Dorian, who was in-between the two, signaled them to start.
Both the Dark Gentleman and the Red Gentleman then charged at one another and started to trade blows with a very strange grace. Luke was visibly the more skilled with a sword but Dante was no pushover and was finding success in deflecting his attacks with ease.
"Where did you learn to sword fight?" Betty asked in curiosity as she eat some popcorn.
"Ummm... Prudence taught me in exchange of Karate classes." Calling it classes were an exaggeration to be honest.
Both of them kept on deflecting each others attack, until their blades locked together. But once their blades were locked for a few seconds, Luke delivered at headbutt into Dante's forehead which caused him to stumble back a bit.
"Is that allowed?" Kevin asked in surprise.
"Technically yes, since we didn't really agreed to an specific set of rules. " Dante explained. "But, I was fighting honorably until that very moment." He informed them with a smirk as what it was about to come, wasn't going to be pretty.
In the video, Dante held his forehead in pain for a few seconds. And so did Luke, since your supposed to aim for the nose and not the forehead. Once they both recovered, Dante simply stared at him with a hostile look and Luke just smirked in response.
Both re-assumed their stances and prepared to engage once again. However, Dante delivered an upward feint, but once Luke rose his blade to deflect, Dante delivered a side kick to his stomach with his right foot. The kick caused Luke to stumble back right into the counter of the bar. Giving no chance for him to recover, Dante close the distance and delivered a precise slash on his right arm, which made a cut on his bicep.
"Oh my god!" Betty gasped once she saw the cut.
"Before you ask, the swords are real and we both knew and agreed with the risks." Dante decided to explain before they got the wrong idea.
Back on the video, Luke dropped his sword as soon as his arm was cut. But he apparently didn't want to admit defeat and decided to grab a bottle of expensive whiskey from the counter and try to hit Dante's face with it. He almost managed, but Dante was able to dodge by moving his head back in time.
"Nice dodge." Kevin commented as he devoured the popcorn.
But then, Luke tossed the bottle at Dante and it actually landed on his chest. It did hurt, but not that much. Until Luke actually started to grab even more bottles to toss at Dante. Who started to move away to get away from the line of fire. Which was what Luke wanted as he grabbed the sword once again with his left hand. Then he charged at Dante with it. The Dark Gentleman's response was to re-assume his stance once again, and prepare for the income attack. Luke clearly was being stupid as he was right handed, which showed when he sloppily delivered a horizontal slash at Dante, who effortlessly deflected his attacks. After a fifth deflection, Dante had enough and just hit his face with his elbow, which caused him to stumble back towards the counter once again. Before Dante could close the distance, Luke got on top of the counter with Dante following behind him. The Red Gentleman tried to attack the Dark Gentleman, but failed and Dante easily deflected his attacks while on top of the counter. Until Dante had enough of that, and delivered a powerful blow into Luke's sword, which knocked it out of his hand and flew into the shelves, knocking several bottles of alcoholic beverages down.
The recording then abruptly ended.
"Oh come on..." Kevin spoke in deep disappointment.
"Short version, I won." Dante decided to confirm the obvious.
"Is he okay?" Betty had to ask due to the cut on his arm.
"Yeah, his arm didn't took long to heal." He assured her before he eat more popcorn. "Can we watch an actual movie now?"

I know that this chapter is just random stuff that Dante did in Greendale but, there just isn't much to show on this chapter since it was mostly about Jughead.

When is the next chapter for the dark gentleman because i love me some more of this dante and veronica moments and if you put toni in this story just pair her up with cheryl in my opinion and also what about Leo howard he could be Dante any thoughts about that?

Oh, don't worry, she and Dante will have some more moments.
Toni and Cheryl will get together, don't worry about that. But if Dante will be included on their relationship, it's a different story.

Kinda nice that the only reason Dante isn't enjoying Betty's parents being at each other's throats is because of how upset Betty is about it any other circumstance I can see him eating popcorn and enjoying it haha anyway him comforting her was very sweet
Like that Polly called Dante handsome even if it's just a little thing haha anyway at least the two had each other to make it through the dinner

Loved the last scene with Dante looking after Cheryl to and her saying sorry to him and really opening up to him
So when it comes to magic and Dante since you said he's much more than a wizard and the equal of Sabrina since Sabrina is a being made to be a unholy trinity if I remember right got me wondering what Dante is so my current tinfoil hat theory is Dante is something more Eldritch
Point is to the magic world Dante is a sleeping dragon no one wants to rouse him and it's a case of they stay out of his way

The plot in this chapter is getting more intense. Dante's relationship with the girls Growing up The Dark Secret of the Blossom Family is about to be revealed soon.
-After clearing things up with Cheryl. Cheryl definitely plans to flirt with Dante.
