A/N: Me, writing Bella/Edward? Shocker! I heard this wonderful song (Tell Your Mom - Georgia Webster) and it sparked something that just had to be written. Hope you enjoy!

Bella Swan/Edward Cullen

It's a perfect sunny morning the day it all ends.

Ironic, really, that their relationship ends the very place it began: fifth-period Biology.

She whispers her objections in hisses that punctuate Mr. Banner's droning sermons, rushing to squeeze the words out before they are more overtly interrupted by the hustle and bustle of their peers.

"It's not that I don't want to be with you -" she mutters, staring down at her interlaced fingers.

"Clearly, that's untrue."

"- but really, the way you're acting is so childish. Disconnecting my car battery? That's a low blow, Cullen, and you know it."

He huffs out a frustrated sigh, punching the bridge of his nose.

(Totally unnecessary. Vampires can't get tension headaches.)

"What do you want from me, Bella? You know I want what's best for you, even if you refuse to see it."

His dulcet tones, once endearing, only serve to raise her hackles.

Her words slip from her mouth like poison. "I wanted you for so long, and now I don't know what to do. I'm sick of begging you, Edward. I'm done."

"Bella, my love -"

"Tell your mom to stop calling. We're done."

She shrugs on her jacket, slipping out the back of the science lab before Mr. Banner can finish his protestations.

It's a perfect sunny morning, and for the first time in a long while, she stands alone in the warm glow.

It's Spring, and Bella Swan is free.

(Esme's calls go straight to voicemail for the next three months. Edward doesn't call once.)

(Bella barely misses him this time.)
