CHAPTER 2

VANESSA'S POV

Hearing the front door unlock and open, I ran through the house jumping into Alec's arms. I kissed him all over before giving him a deep kiss on the lips pulling away and setting me down I pulled him over to the living room to sit on the couch so I could undress him so he could relax better.

"Alec. I am so happy you are here. How long are you staying this time?"

"You get me for the week before I have to go back to work."

I squealed in excitement as I straddle his lap, laying my head on his chest I breathed in his scent. I don't know how long we laid on the couch but the sound of someone knocking on the door drew me out of my light nap, looking up at Alec I was scared. We have never had a visitor before.

"Go into the bedroom."

Jumping up I ran to the bedroom, closing the door but leaving it open a crack so I could peek out and hear what was being said.

"Demetri. What are you doing here?"

The unknown male responded as I could hear them move further into the house.

"I picked up your tenor and wanted to make sure you were okay but I can see you are more than okay. Who is the human?"

"None of your business. It is no one's business. Not yours, not Jane's not anyone!"

I could hear Alec getting angry so I ran out of the room to him. I didn't like when he was angry, when he was angry it led to me being hurt or losing privileges. Wrapping my arms around Alec's waist I buried myself on the side of his body as he wrapped an arm around me, pulled me behind him. I didn't even look or acknowledge the other man, my only focus was Alec.

"Alec. Do the Masters know about her? Why are you keeping her all the way out here?"

"It. Is. None. Of. Your. Business! You dare show up and question me!"

I whimpered a little in fright at Alec's escalating voice, drawing the attention of Alec and the unknown male. Looking at Alec only I pouted a little, I had been good, I didn't understand why he was angry. Giving me a light kiss on the head Alec turned back to the unknown male.

"It is time for you to leave, Demetri. You are upsetting my human."

I peeked up at Demetri. His eyes were the same red as Alec's, catching my gaze I quickly averted my eyes to Alec who was glaring at Demetri. Taking Alec's hand I pulled on it to get his attention.

"Can we go play with the bubbles in the bath?"

Tucking a strand of hair behind my ear Alec gave me his full attention.

"Of course, we can my precious human. Demetri. I believe you can show yourself out."

Alec didn't even look at Demetri as he pulled me along and into the bedroom and to the bathroom to start a bubble bath.
