After we finished our tea and cakes me and Belle then decided that we would go into my walk-in-wardrobe and unpack my clothes. I felt like this was the best thing to do; given the amount of clothes that I had accumulated over the years since coming to Auradon. I also made a mental note to mention to Evie where my clothes now were as I knew for a fine fact that she would want to come in and organise my clothes. Evie was pretty OCD when it came to my clothes, so me and Belle tried to put things as close as to how she would want it, hopefully we would get it nearly right.
We were nearly halfway getting through my clothes into my walk-in-wardrobe, thankfully. I was currently just bending over to get another dress that Evie had made me, however I dropped it back into the case when I felt a sharp sting against my right buttock when someone spanked me. I heard a laugh as I stood up straight; and when I turned around, I saw my very smug fiancé looking at me.
"Ben, that wasn't very nice," I teased with a smirk. "Let me guess-" I said as I started to feel playful. "You couldn't help yourself" I grinned at him as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Nope" he chuckled as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I'll let you off" I winked at him, and I watched as a large grin spread across his face. "On one condition" I muttered as he tightened his arms around my waist, which made my chest press against his.
"What?" he muttered.
"Kiss" I muttered back as I brushed my nose against his. I heard a low purr come from his throat before he slowly moved his face closer to mine and he pressed a long and loving kiss against my lips. When we broke apart, I couldn't help but smile at the fact that my stomach was fluttering at being back in my Beast's arms, Lucifer I loved him so much! "So, what do we owe the pleasure?" I teased as I tried to stop my mind wandering.
"I was just wondering whether you two were planning on coming down for lunch-" he started as he looked over happily to his mother. "Mrs Potts wants to know what you want" he advised. "And the fact that you weren't already downstairs I thought I better come and see where you both had got to" he chuckled playfully as he looked down at me.
"I see," I noted. "Well, I think this is probably the best place to stop" I added as I looked over to Belle.
"Yeah" she agreed as I looked over to the rest of the piles and cases of clothes that I still needed to put away. Right now, the last thing I wanted to do was to put them away, and if I was going to be given a distraction, I was going to take it - especially if it involved spending time with Ben. "Well let's go have a well-deserved break" she grinned as she turned and started to leave the room.
"Let's" I replied as I stepped out of Ben's arms, I then slid my right hand into his left and started to lead him out of my walk-in-wardrobe, with me being very eager to spend some time with my beautiful fiancé and our family.
When we walked into the private dining room in Adam and Belle's suite, I noticed that Adam was talking to Mrs Potts. They both smiled warmly at the three of us as we took to our seats, with Belle sitting next to Adam on the other side of the table and Ben on my left. We all then quickly explained what we wanted to eat and drink, and Mrs Potts turned and quickly left with a warm smile on her face.
"So have you managed to get much done?" Adam questioned as he looked at me after the door had closed behind Mrs Potts.
"Well to be honest Adam-" I began. "I didn't really unpack that much," I admitted. "It was mainly really putting what I have packed back in boxes and cases; and we dismantled my painting room" I continued to explain as Ben slid his right hand into my left under the table.
"You also had a couple of errands," Belle reminded me.
"Oh yeah" I nodded.
"What errands?" Ben enquired, which caused me to look at him.
"I arranged a meeting with Madam Kield tomorrow" I admitted.
"Ooooo" he cooed. "Fancy" he sang happily. "Is that for your wedding dress? I thought you asked Evie to do it?" he enquired as he pulled one brow up in confusion at me.
"Kind of" I answered.
"What?" he pressed in further confusion.
"I'll explain later baby" I smiled at him. "I need to see if my plan works first," I added.
"Ok" he smiled.
"And I accepted my apprenticeship with Doctor Tennant" I told my family.
"Wow!" Adam exclaimed.
"Yeah" I replied as I tore my eyes away from my beautiful Beast and to Adam.
"So, what are the hours?" he enquired.
"Monday to Wednesday" I said. "But Doctor Tennant said he is going to be flexible due to the fact that I have royal commitments," I added.
"Well, that was nice of him" he chuckled, and I couldn't help but nod at this. In all honesty my royal commitments were always going to come first; and there wasn't anything Doctor Tennant or any other commitments that I took on could say about it. My royal work would always have to come first as this is my first priority, correction Ben is and always would be my first priority.
"So how long does it go on for?" Belle enquired.
"Well, it said first of December, but there was a note next to it to say that you could get offered other projects; but I don't think it would go past January" I told them all.
"Even if it did it wouldn't be a problem" Ben shrugged.
"Well until we get married-" I countered as I looked back up at him. "I don't really think I could be doing an apprenticeship when I am Mrs Dragon-Beast Adams" I smiled happily as I pushed my face closer to his. "I'll have other duties" I smiled at him as he rested his forehead against mine.
"Yeah, you will," he advised. "Because you will not only be my wife, you'll be my Queen" he advised proudly.
"Yeah" I nodded. "But like I have told you in the past Ben-" I continued as I cupped the left-hand side of his face with my right hand. "I'll just settle for wife," I finished proudly, and I watched as a large grin spread across his face before he pressed a brief but loving kiss against my lips. We sat gazing into each other's eyes, but we broke apart when we heard the side door open and when we sat up straight, we both watched as Mrs Potts started to walk in with her staff with our drinks. I felt Ben slid his hand back into mine under the table and he gave it a gentle squeeze. I then looked back up at my fiancé and I couldn't help but note how overwhelmed I felt in this moment. Yes, me and Ben had to have supervised time at the moment but having little moments like this meant a great deal to me and they always would do.
After spending an hour and half with Adam, Belle and Ben me and Belle returned to putting my clothes back into my walk-in-wardrobe. We only managed it for another hour when I told Belle that I was going to go for a run, so this gave Belle the excuse to excuse herself so I could get changed.
I quickly changed into my dark purple running vest, trainers and black leggings and after I had done this, I quickly pulled my hair into two side plaits. I then also pulled my phone strap onto my arm, slid my phone into it and plugged my air pods into it. I then started to walk out of my bedroom and make my way out of my suite and as I closed the door behind me, I pressed play on my phone, and I started to bop my head as my music started to play. I then made a mental note that going for runs was probably something that I was going to pick up and I didn't mind. It was going to give me the time that I needed to be alone to sort my thoughts out. And I think this was going to help me in the long run; especially as I didn't know how long this proposition was going to be over me and Ben.
I ended up walking up the same route that I had gone down when I decided to go for a run in the middle of the trial. I smiled when the tree that Ben found me in came into view and I quickly stretched for a few minutes.
After I had stretched, I then took a couple of deep breaths before I started to jog up to mine and Ben's tree. And when I came up to it, I stopped to get my break for a few minutes; and as I did this, I couldn't stop myself from laughing at how playful me and Ben had been here - especially at our private engagement party.
Before I could let my mind wander onto what else happened that night between me and Ben I jogged along a track until I ran quicker; and I didn't stop until I got to the lake that me and Ben had our quarantine lockdown at not so long ago. As I worked on calming my breathing down, I decided that this was probably going to be the best place for me to take a break; so, with this in mind I sat down and rested my back against a large wooden log. I then started to take in the beautiful scene before me as I let my mind wander on everything that had happened recently; and I started to think about ways on how to make it better for me and Ben. Mainly Ben, it was hard enough on me. But Ben had the pressure of trying to get us out of this mess; and I didn't want him to worry about this. If this proposition had to stick then we would find a way, we always did. As far as I was concerned Ben was and always would be worth it, and when I was his wife things would be different - I would make sure of it.
I was broken out of my train of thought a long while later to see that my phone was ringing; so, I moved my right arm slightly to see that Evie was ringing me. I pulled one brow up at this as I answered her call and started talking to her through my earphones.
"Hello" I said.
"Hi M" she replied.
"Is everything ok?" I asked.
"Yeah" she answered. "I just wondered whether you had any plans tonight?" she enquired.
"I don't think so" I said slowly, as I didn't know if Ben had anything planned for me this evening. "No," I added. "Why?" I added.
"Well Doug is working late tonight so I wondered whether you wanted to have tea with me in our apartment?" she offered. "So, we can have a proper catch up, away from all the drama" she continued.
"I see" I noted as I suddenly remembered that now we had all left school Doug was now working for the family business. However, as he was just starting, he had all these new ideas to help the business, but it meant long hours to try and implement them. "Yeah" I added. "I would love that," I said happily. "What time were you thinking? Because I'm currently on a run at the moment, so I would need to go in the shower and get changed" I explained.
"Around six?" she suggested.
"See you then Sis" I grinned.
"I know you call me that normally-" she started. "But it still feels weird," she admitted. "Given what has happened recently" she confirmed.
"I know," I replied. "But it doesn't really change anything between us," I added.
"No," she answered. "No, it doesn't" she confirmed. "See you soon," she continued. "Sis" she said, and I knew by the happy tone in her voice that she was grinning.
"See you soon" I laughed before hanging the phone up. I then went on to take on the very picturesque scene in front of me and I let my mind wander back onto mine and Ben's situation just before Evie rang. And I couldn't help but hope that me and Ben were going to be able to get through this whole sorry mess sooner rather than later. And when it was all sorted me and Ben could live our lives together, finally without any disruption, fingers crossed.
After sitting for around another twenty minutes before I stood up and took a couple of deep breaths. I then ran back down the track that I had just come down; and I kept going. I didn't stop until I got back to mine and Ben's tree. I allowed myself a few minutes to get my breath before I quickly ran back towards Auradon Castle to go and get ready to spend time with my sister.
When I got to the main hall in Auradon Castle I then decided that I needed to speak to Ben and tell him that I was going to spend some time with Evie. I just hoped that I wasn't about to disrupt any plans that he had for us both this evening but saying that there wasn't much that we could do, given that we had to be under supervision the whole time. So, with this thought in mind, I started to head towards Belle's library, hoping to find her there.
"Oh, Hi Mal" I heard Belle say as I walked up towards her reading area in her library. "How was your run?" she asked happily as she set down the book that she had been reading on a nearby small wooden table.
"Good thanks" I smiled at her. "I need to speak to Ben," I advised.
"Ok" she said slowly. "So why are-" she started but she suddenly stopped herself when she realised why I had come to see her. "Oh" she muttered. "Sorry" she quickly apologised. "I forgot" she admitted nervously before pursing her lips together.
"I wish I could" I sighed, and I watched as she threw me a very apologetic look.
"When you speak to him, I'll just stand in the doorway-" she began. "I won't listen" she promised as she stood up.
"It's nothing to press," I replied as she walked up to me. "This time" I added, and we both meekly smiled at each other before we both turned to leave. In all honesty I didn't mind Belle having to come and 'supervise' mine and Ben's conversation. Yes, it was still a bad situation but, on this occasion, I didn't mind Belle coming with me. I understood that this was a step that I was going to have to take as losing Ben was never going to be an option.
"Hey!" I sang happily as I walked into Ben's office. I watched as he quickly looked up at me; and I felt my stomach flutter when I saw his face light up as Belle closed the door behind me but held it at ajar so me and Ben could have a little bit of privacy.
"Hey" he grinned at me. "I'm guessing you've been for a run," he said as he slowly looked me up and down as I walked towards him.
"And what makes you think that?" I teased as I stood next to him on his right-hand side.
"So, is this just a social call?" he chuckled.
"Kinda" I chuckled back. "I don't need any excuse to see you" I purred as I stepped towards him, and I climbed into his lap. "However, I do need to tell you that I won't be around tonight" I advised. "Sorry" I advised sadly as I pulled a face at him.
"It's ok" he dismissed as he tightened his arms around me. "Nothing was planned," he added. "Where are you going?" he enquired.
"E's asked me to go over hers" I explained. "Girl time" I added as I rested my left hand against his chest.
"I see," he noted.
"Yeah" I nodded. "I don't know what time I will be back," I added.
"That's fine" he smiled as he started to play with the end of my left-hand side plait with his right hand. "As long as I know you are coming back" he winked at me.
"Of course, I am" I confirmed as I started to run the fingers of my right hand through the hair on the back of his head. "I just thought I better tell you in case you started planning something" I added. "Have you?" I asked slowly as I froze in his arms.
"No," he replied. "I was going to text you in a little bit to see if there was anything that you wanted to do tonight; but it's ok" he advised. "I can make other arrangements" he smiled warmly at me before he reached forward and pressed a kiss against my right cheek.
"I can cancel with E-" I started.
"No, you won't," he told me. "You need this time with your sister," he added.
"That's the first time you've called her that" I smiled at her.
"Well-" he started. "That is what she is," he shrugged. "Both of you have gone through the ringer recently," he added. "You more so" he sighed sadly. "You need to spend time with each other; and I won't stand in the way of that" he smiled again at me.
"Yes" I nodded. "But I still need to have time with you" I advised.
"And we will," he stated. "I promise" he vowed.
"Ok" I said.
"How about-" he began. "I plan a supervised date for tomorrow night?" he offered.
"Deal" I grinned eagerly, and I watched as my favourite smile spread across my Beast's face.
"I love you, Mally," he said proudly.
"I love you too" I replied in the same proud tone as I pushed my face closer to his and I pressed a brief kiss against his lips. "I'm going to get ready" I stated. "Need to go in the shower" I advised as he pulled me close so my head was now rested against his so we could talk more privately.
"Don't tease me Mal" he purred. "If we didn't have this proposition over us, I probably would have joined you" he flirted.
"I know" I flirted back. "But you will just have to wait for that" I added as I cupped his face in both of my hands. "Lucifer help the pair of us when this gets sorted" I chuckled as I let go of his face and I wrapped my arms around his neck, and we cuddled tightly together.
"I know," he answered. "No appointments for a few days" he smirked.
"Ben" I said as I threw him a stern look. "As if!" I sighed. "Try at LEAST a week" I insisted.
"Sorry" he apologised as he pulled a mock sorry face. "I stand corrected," he chuckled.
"Unless you think that is all you would need?" I teased. "A few days" I joked further before I pressed a kiss against his left cheek.
"No," he quickly stressed. "I just didn't want to push my luck," he advised.
"You wouldn't be pushing your luck" I giggled. "We would be making up for lost time" I flirted.
"Yeah" he agreed; and we both shared a loving look.
"I'm going to go," I said. "But not before this-" I began to get out but was stopped when pressed his lips against mine and we shared a long and loving kiss. When the need to breathe came to us we broke apart and smiled at each other for a few seconds before I went to go and climb off his lap. However, I started to feel playful, and I grinned at him; and I watched as he threw a confused look at me. "Oh" I muttered. "Ben, I forgot something" I advised.
"What?" he asked; and to answer him I pressed another kiss against his right cheek.
"Thank you" he said before he mirrored my actions and pressed a kiss against my left cheek.
"That wasn't it" I teased.
"What was it?" he enquired.
"This" I stated bluntly before quickly licking his right cheek and quickly jumping off his lap and running around his desk. When my eyes landed on him once more, I noticed that his eyes were open wide in shock at what I had just done. "One nil" I grinned at him.
"Really?" he questioned incredulously. "Oh you" he laughed wholeheartedly. "I'll get you back Mal" he warned me as I took a couple of steps backwards in case, he decided to dive at me.
"Promises promises Benny" I winked at him, before turning to go and leaving the room to go and spend some time with my sister - before my Beast decided to rugby tackle me.
It didn't take me very long to get changed into a pair of lazy dark purple sweats and a dark purple t-shirt with a bright green symbol of a green dragon. I wore some dark purple sneakers and I decided to just leave my hair hanging; and I kept my makeup quite basic with just purple eyeshadow, lip gloss and blush.
I quickly packed everything that I thought I may need for a few hours over Evie's into my handbag; and I quickly threw it over my shoulder as I left my bedroom; very eager to see what my night was going to entail.
I was just about to walk out of the main hall of Auradon Castle, but I stopped, and I heard Ben call out to me. When I turned around, I watched as he started to walk towards me, with a very playful look on his face.
"Ben" I said happily as I stood still as I noted that Adam was standing down the corridor a short distance away.
"Mal" he answered as he stepped in front of me.
"I know what you are about to do Beast" I said as I pulled one brow up at him.
"I know" he answered as he interlocked his fingers together and he placed them on the bottom of his stomach. "That's why I'll just bide my time" he grinned smugly at me.
"Ok" I nodded.
"Come here" he smiled at me as he held his arms out to me and I quickly stepped into his arms. "I just wanted a quick hug" he advised as he snuggled into my hair.
"Very nice" I purred, and I felt him press a kiss against the top of my head before he pulled away and looked at each other. We both then grinned at each other, and Ben quickly looked down at my lips for a couple of seconds before he reached down and pressed a long and loving kiss against my lips.
"I'll see you later my love" he grinned happily at me.
"See you later" he replied, and I winked at him as I went to turn away but stopped when I heard his voice once more. "Did I mention that I love you?" he said, and I turned and looked back at him.
"Did I mention that I love you back?" I said fondly and I watched as a warm smile spread across his face. I winked at him again and turned to leave and this time I left the main hall. And as I did this, I couldn't stop a large smile spread across my face at what had just happened with me and my fiancé. I loved him so much; I couldn't wait to be his wife. Mrs Maleficent Bertha Dragon-Beast-Adams that was the title that I was currently striving for; and I knew that I was going to get that title - one way or another.
