Trixie and Thanksgiving
Whatever Thanksgiving was, Trixie didn't quite understand it.
Mommy was getting yummy food ready with Daddy and Auntie Charlotte's help but it was disappointing to her as she had no teeth yet to eat any of it.
At least the funny parade on tv kept her company while Tommy, Chubby, Fill and Lil played Nakey Americans until a Reptar or Dummi Bear float caught their eye.
After the funny parade on tv ended, she fell asleep and didn't wake up until smelling her favorite baby food mashed peas and something new for Thanksgiving mashed sweet potatoes.
They were both yummy but Trixie got scared seeing Meanie beside her despite not seeing her in months.
"Remember what Doctor Jasper said. You have to be nice to your new cousin," Uncle Drew said. "Just like how you practiced on Cynthia back home."
Meanie sighed but obeyed as Trixie turned to her with her face covered in mashed sweet potatoes.
"I was mean to you when you were born because I was jealous. Jealous that Grandpa wouldn't give me any more attentions now that you were here. I'm sorry for what I did to you and for what I did before you were born. I won't be mean anymore," Meanie muttered softly. "Even though it's hard for me to be nice, I'll work my hardest to do it."
"I think Angelica's serious this time you guys," Tommy muttered.
"I don't know Tommy. She's done this before," Fill muttered.
"Yeah!" Lil agreed. "And the last time she promised to be good, we got all wet!"
"My daddy says that we should always give peoples a second chance. Even Angelica," Chubby muttered.
She didn't hear the rest of the conversation as the grownups craving a turkey (that wasn't a live one after the fiasco with the previous year's) seemed more interesting until she drifted off and fall asleep face first into what remained of the mashed sweet potatoes.
