Trixie's bath time
Finally whatever Hanukkah was had ended. Mommy said it to be the eighth night but Trixie wasn't paying attention.
She eagerly anticipated her favorite time of day.
Bath time.
Since she couldn't fit the sink anymore, it was finally time to get a floater thingy of her own.
Not the color purple like her big brother's but a nice baby pink.
That made her a little disappointed but as soon as Mommy put her feet into the floater thingy, Trixie giggled and clapped as she felt the water touch her toes.
Water she wasn't scared of.
The clown puppet Daddy had? Oh yeah. She was absolutely terrified of that thing.
She and Tommy played with the bath toys Mommy had given them until Trixie spotted something down below.
Something fun to pull on.
"What that? You pull it Tommy?" Trixie asked.
Tommy shook his head. "Sorry Trixie. Mommy says that the drain thingy makes all the water go bye-byes and then bath time won't happen any more."
He went back to playing as Trixie did the same but as bath time concluded and Mommy cleaned her up with a fuzzy blanket, she couldn't help but frown looking towards the water.
She wished she could save it.
When Daddy carried Tommy out of the bathroom for some time together before bed, Trixie found herself with Mommy who pulled the drain thingy.
The baby's eyes widened in horror as the water she played and got washed in disappeared into a big hole below.
Normally she'd be used to the sound of it going away by now yet this time she couldn't help but cry.
"It's okay Trixie Melanie. You're safe," Mommy shushed as she picked her up.
Trixie sighed in comfort feeling Mommy's warm embrace as she laid on her shoulder.
Yet she could never trust the drain thingy ever again.
At least until tomorrow.
