Family day

Angelica was happy. Now that her mommy stayed home from work some days, she was able to come with her to preschool.

While having Charlotte being CEO of her own company betting out Susie's mommy's doctor job was fun in her mind, nothing was more fun than bringing Trixie along for the ride.

Trixie was quiet and slept through everything around her, making as little noise as possible.

Angelica didn't know what happened to Miss Weemer but she had recently been replaced by a less stressed, more capable teacher named Miss Lilly.

Not that she minded. Miss Lilly was a lot more fun and kind but stern if she needed to be.

She even giggled when the teacher thought Trixie was her little sister.

"I wish she was but then I'd have to share her with my mommy and daddy," Angelica mused, giving Trixie a playful glare and got a giggle in response.

Miss Lilly smiled, nodding in agreement. It felt nice to finally get a chance to see Angelica in a less "terrorizing" state according to her previous preschool teacher.

As she watched her teacher meet the other children and their families, Angelica turned towards her mommy who carried a bubbly Trixie in her arms.

"Is there something you want sweetheart?" Charlotte asked.

Angelica bit her lip, holding back tears. "Mommy, when you and Daddy tried to have another kid a long, long time ago before Trixie was born and it didn't happen, was it something I did?"

"No. Of course not. Why would you ask such a thing?"

"Because I was selfish and spoiled. I'm sorry."

Charlotte patted her daughter's back, seeing Angelica blink back tears for she knew she didn't want to cry in front of her classmates and the mega crop CEO didn't blame her one bit for having those feelings.

"You didn't do anything wrong. Things…. Things happen unexpectedly sometimes and there's usually a reason for it," She reasoned. "Does that make you feel any better sweetie?"

Angelica nodded and ran off to play while Charlotte stayed behind with Trixie for refreshments that the classroom provided, making a mental note to talk with Drew or Stu and Didi about what had taken place when they were alone and away from the kids at a later date.
