People how y'all doing this fine evening or morning or whenever the hell you see this ! Anyway that little break I had is done and I'm raring to go ! Let's get into it ! Also this story is now M rated due to me going crazy with Bakugo's ( and others eventually ) swearing .

" Walk with me Deku ."

Katsuki had thought a lot about what he wanted to say , more than he's really thought about anything in his life . Sure he always knew he was going to become the Number One Hero but with his excellent quirk PLUS a 10th generation One for All, yeah the dream felt a lot more tangible now , But as Deku had annoyingly pointed out ,that certainty came with big questions.

What kind of Number One was he going to be ?

Because the more Bakugo looked at it the more far away he became from what the world needed from a Number One, from a Symbol.

He was a bully , someone who told his once best friend to jump of a building. Katsuki wasn't stupid , he knew the way he was now he'd be a failure of a Number One but could he really change his ways ?

Didn't matter, the world wasn't gonna wait for him to make a decision and Deku was to stubborn to change his .

They'd arrived and it was time .

Time to show Deku what Symbol he'd become .

Izuku felt a wave of nostalgia hit him stepping into this place again, his nose was filled with the familiar and heavenly smell of cheese melting . The Bakugo and Midoriya families found the Takuda Sandwich Shop when the boys where 3 , the place served the best toasted cheese sandwiches he had ever tasted even now . Before he and Kacchan drifted apart their families where regulars at this place .

They'd have to be quiet and vague but for these pieces of heaven it was worth it.

" I did fuck all at that stupid party so take this consolation ya damn nerd ."

" Damn right I will these sandwiches are best ."

Was that vulgar of him. Yes

Were these magnificent things worth it . Also Yes

"Old man better tell me how he makes toasted cheese sandwiches so damn good ."

They shared a laugh , it felt good being here as friends, no.. brothers overcoming what life threw at them and being able to go home alive , which when you consider how many villains they've fought is not something they should take for granted .

Alas they had to get down to business.

" As much as I hate to say it you're right , doesn't matter what I do being the Symbol of Peace ain't in my blood ."

" That's not a bad thing one of the reasons things got so bad was because…."

" Because we thought All Might would solve all our problems for us , that he'd always save the damn day with a smile."

" Now we don't have a safety net and everything's a lot more real ."

" That's why I've decided I'm gonna be this world's Flawed Symbol."

" Ehh ?"

" I know that's sounds stupid as hell but here me out , one of our big issues is that these civilians and media idiots think were gods or some bull crap , but what if some young hotshot becomes the Number One gets a big interview for the world to see and then instead of stroking his own dick for the whole damn thing he talks about the hard times and not some ' look at me I trained 3 hours everyday my life's so hard' shit either, I'm talking about how the job changed him , the toll it took and the struggle it was to get up some days ."

" To show that he's no god just a mortal with big shoes to fill . I don't think I need to tell you the risk involved in that , one wrong word and …."

"Society won't trust heroes and I topple Japan better than Shittyraki ever could I know but the risk is worth it all ."

" You'd 'trim the fat' essentially not only would future heroes be more serious and effective but those who would join for more frivolous reasons won't…..dig themselves an early grave ."

" It might not be the sunshine and rainbows world we saw as kids but…."

" Maybe shattering that illusion would be a good thing ."

" To bad for you damn nerd don't think you were expecting this big a change when you passed it on huh?"

At least Kacchan kept it somewhat veiled .

Izuku stood up , he had to meet with All Might soon but before he went he had one last thing to say .

" Kacchan no matter what Symbol you become , what change you make to the world , however unworthy you feel you are just remember ...If anyone asks I will proudly tell them that you are Katsuki Bakugo the successor to Deku and All Might and man who gave the world what one hell of a reality check ."

Turns out Katsuki also had some parting words for his brother in arms .

" Knowing you the embers won't be going to waste so do me a favour , next time you see Handjob Smash his face in ."

" You know I will ."

And so they parted ways , their futures changed in ways they'd never know, but even in uncertain times with uncertain futures they walked with the power the ones that came before filling their veins .

Stepping on to Dagobah Beach Izuku felt a lot heavier than he ever did before . This was the place where he proved his worthiness to All Might but also to himself . That he , quirkless useless Deku could stand among the greats and become a hero .

And even after all that training, I still couldn't to a thing .

Now Izuku knew that with the strength he had at Nabu ,Nine would be impossible to defeat alone but that's what bothered him . Izuku was known for his quirk analysis and yet he'd made minimal progress since One for All was passed on to him .

Sure Full Cowl and Air Force where solid techniques but when it came down to it they were nothing special, Kacchan already knew the basics of Full Cowl and his AP Shot gave him the range he needed already . He didn't even get a chance to fully master Shoot Style to a point where it could actually be considered a style . All things considered he was probably One for All's most useless wielder .

" I think we both know that's untrue Young Izuku ."

Izuku turned around to face the man he came to meet blushing as his habit reared its head once more .

" S-s-sorry All Might."

" Don't worry about it , besides I think I'm at the level where I can finally decipher your muttering Young Izuku ! "

" Uh , congratulations ?"

" Hahaha, congrats indeed my boy ,however -"

The air around All Might shifted and Izuku almost instinctively took a step back , it was at times like this that he realised that frail as Toshinori Yagi may be now he still had the presence of the Number One.

" I thought we discussed your self esteem issues my boy , it may feel as if your inferior but you made great bounds in One for All from that day on this beach ."

" I know, it just feels like I've failed . I told you I'd become the Number One , The Symbol of Peace but I didn't do any of that !"

Izuku felt the tears well up in his eyes .

" You trusted me with your power and I just passed to another as soon as I could , the moment there was a struggle I threw all the responsibility away !"

" Izuku, now I know you're bullshitting me ."

Izuku didn't know when his head went down but what he did know is that if he picked it up any faster , it would have flown off . All Might was the Number One hero with millions of cameras on you 24/7 you learn to be child friendly just in case . So you know when All Might curses ….

He means business.

" Izuku I have seen risk life and limb for strangers, I've seen you break your already broken fingers to save a classmate from themselves. You also might forget that I was quirkless to so I know middle school must have been hell to you . "

All Might bent down looking Izuku in the eyes his blue eyes glowing regardless of whether he had a quirk.

" Izuku I've seen you suffer and struggle to get to where you are now , my boy you've earned the title of hero twice over by now ."

Izuku had never felt this much emotion from All Might , he sounded so sure , so certain that Izuku knew he couldn't deny his words no matter what. He'd never felt so touched in his life . This wasn't All Might saying 'good job following the plan I gave you ' or 'good job showing the world I am here ' ….

This was 'good job doing what you wanted to achieve ' and that meant more to him than any quirk that he'd been given .

" If you're not going to take my word for it ask the higher ups ." All Might drew his attention to a letter with the Hero Commission's logo on it handing it to him .

" What's this ?"

" You see Izuku you should know by now this mission is extremely dangerous and if something goes wrong then the Hero Commission would go full attack dog on us for putting a child in the field, especially if they didn't know about you , so it was in our best interest to tell them our plan leaving out One for All of course . "

" But they wouldn't just let me out in the field on your word , would they ."

" Not with , the threat the League has become but we pulled some strings . Young Izuku in one week you will participate in a test given by the Commission themselves ! In the event you pass we will be given permission to carry out this operation ,be prepared they aren't gonna make this easy on us ."

He was going to be ready , he may have passed on One for All but the embers still burnt brightly inside . He'd make sure to destroy the rest of All for One's legacy and clear his successors path to the top , even if said successor would kill him for doing so .

" I'll be ready All Might I won't let you dow-oof ."

Sadly he would have to wait to tell All Might this as he currently got the wind kicked out of him by a very familiar yellow blur . His predecessor giving him an apologetic look .

" Ya damn well ain't gonna disappoint us brat cause I'll be whipping your lazy brat ass back into shape this week ."

So that's Chapter 5 not much to say about this one really just building up things like the details of what Izuku's doing and who's involved. I hoped you liked it anyways I certainly find the M rating much more freeing as you can see by me going nuts with the swearing ( at least compared to earlier chapters )
