Yo ! I'm back from my long break … again and I'm ready to write , I just realized that I didn't know where to go from last chapter . You'll have to forgive me I'm still a new fanfic writer so I don't have everything planned out just scenes in my head most of the time . I hope you enjoy anyways .

Edit : changed the way Iida and Todoroki addressed each other thanks for commenting that I realise now it was kinda unrealistic. Except Momo is still Momo cause I ain't dealing with her last name .

Izuku got home and walked straight to his room . Gran Torino was really pushing him to the limits , his muscles ached and screamed at him to stop this torture . Unfortunately this was necessary, a test from the HPSC was no joke and with only a week to prepare his tormentor-err trainer was pulling out all the stops .

In this weak the were hoping to train him in quirkless fighting getting him ready for the day when One for All eventually disappeared from his body . That doesn't mean they were neglecting it though , Gran Torino wanted his control to be at around 25% at the end of the week while also being able to go 30% in bursts when needed . He'd press every advantage he had and just like the one before him he'd use this quirk until he no longer could .

Speaking of every advantage he had work to do .

Something had been bothering him ever since he started actually researching ways to become a quirkless hero . He kept on looking into new skills to acquire, advantages he could gain over villains .

Martial arts , a way to land devastating blows even against physically stronger opponents

Support item making , giving him much needed versatility to combat the billions of quirks out there

The issue with these methods however was time he wouldn't be able to use these for the HPSC exam , which left him with his most beloved yet underused skill . His quirk analysis.

His notebooks were somewhat of a legend among 1A and while he did apply in battle on occasions like utilizing Aizawa-sensei's movements in exercises were UA used capture tape but there was one skill he was meaning to get up to par .

High speed Analysis

Being able to get information about your opponent in mid battle was way harder than sitting with his notebook but being able to theorize weaknesses and act on them mid battle would be a bigger boost than one would think .

He'd learnt not to overdo his training so while his body was resting he'd sharpen his mind and when next week rolled around :

Tenya felt his engines fire up as he sped through UA's obstacle course . A copy of the one at there Sports Festival it was installed to show the students how far they'd come since then.

Since they first started out

UA's villain robots crumpled beneath his kicks

Before they'd gotten real world experience

He was much faster now an could gain enough momentum to jump over the gaps instead of using the ropes connecting platforms

Before when he , Todoroki and Midoriya were side by side .

No he needed to stop , he's acting like Midoriya's dead he wasn't. He simply left the school .

And left behind some big shoes to fill

He didn't even realize he'd finished the course the minefield a blur to him . That until he felt some stings all over himself . With that and his aching legs he supposed a visit to Recovery Girl was in order .

" It seems no matter how fast you are running through a minefield is never a good idea ."

Turning around Tenya found that the one who made this wise crack to be none other than Shoto Todoroki who seemed to be done training himself if the steam pouring of him was any indication.

" Todoroki how's the training ?"

" Okay ."

" Going to Recovery Girl ?"

" Yeah ."

" Iida …. is it just me or are our classmates less loud since Midoriya left , do you think their having trouble accepting it ? Should we do something ?"

" It not that they haven't accepted it Todoroki even Uraraka has by now it's just …… he was a big inspiration for our class ,pushing them to be better in every exercise whether he realised it our not . Now that motivation isn't there anymore ."

" They're no longer motivated I see . It's probably a good idea for one of us to step up but I don't know if I can replicate that ."

" I doubt anyone can but …."

He'd seen it in class from an outsiders perspective they seemed the same laughing and having a good time while also giving excellent performances in their classes but they'd lost some of that fire that seemed to permeate the class before . As Class President he couldn't stand for that .

" I going to try, as Class President of 1A it's my duty to help this class . I may not be as motivating as Midoriya but I'll try my best ."

" You won't do it alone , I'm not the best at social cues but I don't think Izuku would like the class as it is so I think I'll join you Todoroki ."

" I appreciate it, Todoroki, and I believe we have the opportune time , they informed us in the Student Council meeting that UA's Culture Festival is coming up that should help our cause ."

" Good idea we might be able to get Momo on board too , well played Midoriya ."

He felt a lot more sure of himself now , living up to Midoriya's standard seemed a lot more possible now .

You may have left big shoes Izuku but I'm not alone. Your friends we'll fill the gap you left together.
