The baby store

Adoption seemed to be a store where grownups chose a new boy or girl to be apart of their family according to Angelica's concept.

She desired a sister, often dreaming of what they could do together and her teaching her new sister things like how to get cookies.

Only to face disappointment when Charlotte and Drew told her that they considered getting a baby boy instead.

"What's wrong with getting another princess?" Angelica frowned. "Boys are yucky and gross!"

"We said to consider getting a baby boy Angelica. We hadn't made up our minds yet," Charlotte explained. She knelt down and hugged her, stroking her hair. "But if you really want a sister then we'll have to explain to the agency that we changed our minds about Dylan."

Dylan? As funny as that name was compared to Tommy and Chuckie's, Angelica felt a little remorseful.

Still the possibility of getting a sister wouldn't leave her mind.

Charlotte and Drew could see the conflicted look on their daughter's face as Drew picked her up and took her in his arms.

"Cupcake, no matter if your mommy and I decide on Dylan or a baby girl, just remember that we'll love you both equally," He assured.

Angelica smiled. "Really?"

"Really sweetheart. We only want what's best for you," Charlotte reasoned as she silenced her cell phone.

Adoption was a baffling process to Angelica but she now understood her mommy and daddy were doing it out of the love they had for her, wanting to share it with another child.

But the baby boy Dylan? She wasn't too keen on him just yet.

Maybe she would sometime in the future but not today.

Today she still wanted a sister to teach things to and that was all she cared about in the whole world even more than cookies.
