All right time for my first real fight chapter . I'm really nervous but I'm pulling a Mirio and POWERING through . Hope you enjoy !

There was not a second lost as the two fighters flew towards each other . There was no longer time for the cautious approach .

Shohei swooped down talons ready to claw his enemy . At this range his dive was a dangerous attack . Something Izuku could attest to as his fellow hero's claws dug into him leaving bloody claw marks behind .

Shohei followed up with two more clawed kicks . He needed to finish this quickly . Izuku managed to dodge the first one only to be slashed across the chest by the second . He jumped back hoping for some space for a counter attack his avian opponent closing the gap quickly.

His arms have sort of merged, or I guess just transformed into his wings so he must also use a kick based fighting style while keeping up his flight .

Izuku rushed forward meeting his foe and hoping he could keep up .

Kick to the liver , unsuccessful

Dodge claw

Dodge another

Roundhouse , easily dodged

Another round of dodging

Axe kick , success !

Dodge talon , not success !

The fight continued in such a pattern . Both having the necessary speed to dodge the others attack , causing long volleys of attacks until one combatant slipped up , only for them to recover quickly and hit back .

Izuku knew he was fighting a losing battle , their speed might be comparable but his opponent was far to skilled . The years of hero training had streamlined the bird boy's movements . There was no energy wasted and mistakes were few and far between.

While Izuku was littered with claw marks , Shohei seemed relatively unscathed albeit tired . Shohei had trained for years ,he wasn't going to let some rookie first year deny him the chance to become a hero .

' Really wish I had a watch on me ' Izuku thought letting a talon fly past him before parrying another with a kick . ' Cause this feels way longer than 3 minutes.'

Izuku jumped back once more hoping for some space to think but it bought him barely any time before he was once again thrust into a flurry of blows . He weaved past the initial attacks eyes darting every which way looking for an opening .

Unfortunately they soon fell into the same rhythm with Izuku hanging one by a thread. He needed to break the pattern now or he was done for . He needed to go all out .

He couldn't hold it for long that would strain him too much but he was so close to a win . He needed to take the risk .

Izuku exploded into movement , his every attack becoming faster and stronger . He knew how much difference even 10% of One for All could make in a fight . His increase from five to eight percent was enough for him to keep up with Kacchan .

And he was proving it now , the fight was slowly but surely moving in his favour . His opponents moves becoming more predictable .

Shohei was getting desperate.

" He's increased his power , I can't afford to get hit but I can't waste time fighting! I have to end this now!"

A lightning fast claw shot towards Izuku but with his enhanced reflexes he managed to lean away from the strike . Before Shohei could retract his leg , Izuku had it in his iron grip . Shohei knew then and there he had lost . His impatience was his downfall .

With a scream of effort Izuku slammed Shohei into the ground said boys head ringing on impact . He didn't even managed to get up , Izuku was already above him fist raised .

" 30% DETROIT SMASHHH!!"

" Well I believe a congratulations is in order , Izuku Midoriya and Shohei Buki congratulations you are both now official hero's!"

Izuku was vibrating with excitement , there were definitely tears but he didn't care about that right now.

He'd become a hero , it wasn't in the way he imagined it and there were still many struggles ahead but he was finally able to save people with a smile ( without being at risk of a vigilantism charge ) . He couldn't wait to go home and tell his mom ( at the risk of flooding they're apartment building again).

Shohei had a less enthusiastic response, not due to a lack of happiness just confusion .

" I don't believe I am eligible to accept this licence Tastumaki-san after all both my teammates and I failed the exercise so I shouldn't be the only one getting a licence ."

Tastumaki's onigiri head grins as he gives a flamboyant explanation, complete with hand gestures and fabulous poses .

" Of course Mr Buki you and your teammates did fail the exercise but your performance was still excellent, you maximized your quirk's advantages while also keeping up with Midoriya, something your teammates failed to do keeping him fighting for as long as possible . In fact in the time you took fighting professional backup would have already arrived in a real situation and Midoriya would have lost . That along with your overall skill makes us believe you are a worthy of receiving a Hero Licence ."

Shohei could only nod , the analysis was sound and rational it may feel a little selfish but he had earned his place . He looked to Midoriya who was bawling his eyes out while looking over his license .

He hoped his opponents would become an ally in the future.

Well Keith always said he needed to socialize more .

" So you and UA faked your 'quirk loss' so you could work undercover to gather info on the League of Villains ?"

" Yeah that's it , I honestly didn't expect you to ask Buki-san ."

" It's still big news right now but as long as you work mostly under ground and cover your face well you should be fine ."

" Thanks for the advice."

Izuku wasn't expecting Buki ( Hero name Gale ) to talk to him after gaining their licences but it was nice getting to know him, he needed at least some connections in the hero world after all ( ones he made himself not ones he got from UA or One for All .)

Speaking of which .

' Holy shit One for All gave me vision of the past ! And Nana Shimura was there wait there were two of them and one was talking to me what the fuck howww?"

" Midoriya can you hear me ?"

" O-O-oh sorry I spaced out for a second ."

" I guess we're all tired , lets exchange phone numbers it will be better to talk when we're refreshed."

" Sure , I look forward to working with you from time to time Gale ."

" Same to you Deku ."

Izuku walked out of the Commission building with his head held high . This was the first step but seeing the look on All Might's face when he saw Izuku's licence ( and very much still feeling the hug he got )

It gave him hope for the future.

Phew that was one hellava chapter lemme tell ya . It's a little short but fight scenes are harder than they look. Tell me what you thought of it I didn't post it last week because I wanted it to be as good as possible.
