Note: Miraculous, I finished a chapter in one day! It is either a good thing or a bad thing, lol. I have had this ending in mind for a long time just wasn't sure how to get there. I may have rushed it a bit in wanting to get to this part. All mistakes are my own. Hope you enjoy the story! Thanks for all the reviews, favorites, and follows.

Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail or the characters, just the plot.

Juvia is good at what she does, she knows that she is good at showing her devotion to Gray-sama. Some may call it stalking, Juvia disagrees it is just showing that only she is worthy of Gray-sama's love. However, she is disappointed with herself now, she failed to follow Gray-sama when he left Fairy Tail. She knew she should returned from her job sooner. Still she didn't have a way to find Gray-sama again.

When she first heard the news, that Gray-sama would be away from Fairy Tail for an indefinite amount of time, she was inconsolable and the rain was continuous. She had tried to chase after him went she had first heard the news. She dragged Gajeel-kun with her for his dragon sense of smell could help. But it had been a few days since he left so the trail was cold. She returned to the guild empty handed and with a heavy downpour raging outside.

Juvia had been sulking in the guild, most of them giving her a wide berth, when she watched Natsu, Lucy, Erza, and Happy go into the master's office. Now curious, she kept an eye on the door, it would look to obvious if she tried to go up to the door and listen. she turned into water to transport herself under the door of the office and stayed a puddle of water under the master's desk to listen. She became concerned when Natsu and the others left the office with faces like thunder. They did not look pleased, even Lucy seemed somewhere between angry and upset.

It wasn't until she watched them leave, the guild doors slamming shut behind them, that she got the idea to follow them. Surely, they were going after Gray-sama and Juvia was not going to be beat out by her love rival!

This led to where she was now, watching Ezra punch Natsu unconscious to get him on the train with Lucy and Happy following. They were headed towards Ur's old home. Having been told by Lyon's team where Lyon had said he was going to check when they went to Lamia Scale.

Juvia was overjoyed that they had a lead on finding Gray-sama! Juvia was seated in the train compartment beside Ezra. They had caught her stalking them right before boarding the train. Ezra had invited her to come along since Juvia would likely follow anyways. Natsu was passed out in front of her, with Happy on his head. Lucy was reading a book but couldn't keep her focus on it. Ezra had just finished sharing what Juvia already knew from stalking.

It was a quiet moment in the group when Juvia felt a shiver run up her spine. Something was wrong but what she couldn't place. Something felt off, a feeling of foreboding ran through her. She truly hoped that the mages they were chasing weren't in trouble. But her feeling of dread only grew the closer they got to their destination.

"Lyon!" screamed Gray, as an enemy mage with dark hair and dark eyes, lashed a magic chain around Lyon's ankle and flung him into nearby trees. Gray created an ice sword, cutting through the chain before the mage could fling Lyon again.

Gray rushed to Lyon's side and created a shield right as bullets came their way, giving Lyon time to get back to his feet. Gray dropped his shield as Lyon sent ice eagles flying towards their opponents. A magic barrier appeared and blocked the attack once again.

Lyon groaned in frustration at that barrier. How were they supposed to get through that thing?

This time the barrier didn't lower as the other mages sent a combo attack of bullets and chains towards the ice mages. Each mage dodged the attack with easy. Lyon was in the ice make stance about to throw out another attack when Gray cried out in pain. Lyon looked over to see Gray fall to his knees and a splash of green on Gray's leg that was eating through his skin.

Lyon caught the sight of another mage that had joined their fight from seemingly out of nowhere. He saw where the attack ate through the ground leaving a trail towards Gray. Lyon let out a hiss as he realized it was acid magic. The younger mage must have dodged most of the acid attack but not enough.

Lyon shouted, "Don't!" as Gray's hand instinctively went towards the wound. Before either mage could do anything else, another combo attack was sent their way. Lyon quickly created a huge ice ape to cover them both.

Gray grit his teeth in pain as he stood back up. He carefully froze the wound without his hand touching his leg. Lyon was worried for his younger brother, but neither were hardly given time to breath as more attacks came their way. The fight went on for what seemed like ages.

The ice mages were cut up and bruised and Gray was limping from the acid attack. Both were getting tired and their magic low, they had been mostly on the defense. The enemy had them out numbered and kept up attack after attack.

Suddenly, Gray went down again; bleeding from a gash in his side where a bullet had whizzed through. Weakened as he was at this point, he struggled to get back up and fight. Lyon rushed towards him to help but was caught unawares by a chain and thrown the opposite direction of Gray. As Lyon struggled with the chain a magic bullet was sent his way, hitting him in his shoulder.

He barely heard Gray crying out for him as more bullets tore into him. There was a surge of magical power as the bullets suddenly stopped. Breathing through the pain, Lyon cracked his eyes open to see Gray and an ice shield with spikes in front of him.

Lyon felt the suffocating, dark magic coming from Gray in waves. He watched the devil-slayer mark start to spread and knew he had to stop it before it got to far. However, before Lyon could do anything another mage appear behind them. He pointed his fingers at Gray making him fall to the ground, clutching his neck. Gray's magic disappeared with his concentration gone. Lyon turned to face the new opponent, demanding.

"What did you do to him?"

The mage sneered at him.

"Nothing much, just made it where he can't move. Thanks to my vampire magic."

The enemy mages now had them surrounded. Akira, the teal-hair woman, spoke up.

"I believe this is game over. Just let us take the Devil-slayer and we will leave you-" Here she pointed at Lyon, "alive. I have no real desire to kill cuties like you."

Lyon moved so that he was in between Gray and Akira, what was left of his magic swirled up in defensive anger.

"You will only get him over my dead body."

Akira let out a sigh,

"So sad, I gave you a chance to come out of this alive, but I guess killing you is the only way to finish this."

Gray tried to move, he truly did. He tried to open his mouth and tell them that they could take him, he would go willingly if they left Lyon alone. He tried to get his magic to work, anything to stop what he feared was to happen. There was no way Lyon would survive against them. They had been fighting for too long; Lyon was injured, weakened, and outnumbered.

There was nothing he could do as he watched Lyon using all the magic he had into blocking attacks and trying to attack back. The barrier was still a problem, and he stood no chance at all.

Time slowed down as Gray watched Lyon be ripped apart by bullets and burnt by acid. Gray couldn't even shout for his brother, couldn't reach out, nothing. Time froze as he watched Lyon fall to the ground. Lyon fell facing him, bleeding out, burnt, and one of his legs mostly dissolved. Gray could only watch as the light left his brother's gaze.

Gray felt tears rolling down his face, he was shaking in a mix of rage and despair. He felt a cocktail of emotions, fury, anguish, guilt and regret. This couldn't be for real. He can't have lost another family member! They had been getting closer and rebuilding bonds. How dare these evil bastards take his family from him! He felt the devil-slayer mark throbbing to be let out.

"What the hell!" He thought, "I have lost everything! Why not let this take over and destroy everything."

Losing the last link of family, Gray couldn't care less for what the counsel decided or care for anything. All Gray could see what darkness and anger. He didn't care what happened, he was going to destroy these people and if he didn't come back from the devil-slayer mark he no longer cared. The last site Gray saw before letting the mark take over was the group of mage closing in on him and his brother's corpse.

Akira held out a hand to stop the other mages from advancing. The air felt beyond stifling; it was dark, sinister, and if she had to name a feeling, pissed. They could only stare as the devil-slayer mage stood up, through the paralysis. His whole body was black, with purple eyes. His hair was straight up, and the magic swirled around him in purple hues. However, that was nothing compared to the look on his face. There was nothing there but cold rage.

Akira knew they needed to catch this guy, but she could feel the power in the air and was unsure of getting closer. Her slow response cost them all their lives. The last sight she saw was the devil mage and his purple ice coming their way.

Natsu stared in stunned horror at the scene they had arrived to. When the Fairy's reached Ur's home they had followed Natsu's nose to where the ice mages had to be. Natsu had slowed when he smelled blood and a lot of it, some was Gray's but most wasn't anyone he knew.

Natsu, Lucy, Ezra, Happy, and Juvia walked into a scene of pure destruction. The whole area was frozen, painted with blood, and there were limbs of body parts scattered about. The air was full of suffocating, powerful magic. And amid all that carnage stood Gray but not the Gray they once knew.

Gray's body was black with purple eyes. Natsu recognized the feel of Gray's devil-slayer magic. Natsu was confused and fearful, he was uncertain what happened. Surely Gray didn't do this.

There was a gasp and Natsu turned to see Lucy covering her mouth with tears in her eyes and a grief-stricken look in Ezra's eyes. Juvia spoke with a waver in her voice,

"Is that Lyon-sama down there?"

Natsu looked to where Juvia's shaky hand was pointing. Natsu came to a quick understanding of why Gray was full on devil-slayer, seeing Lyon's body in the only unfrozen area.

Ezra snapped them out of their horrified stupor,

"We need to stop him, now!"

The others jumped into action. Natsu's fist lit with flames.

"I have no problem knocking some sense into him."

Lucy grabbed Natsu by the shoulder to stop him.

"Maybe we should try to talk to him."

Ezra shook her head.

"I think we are going to have to fight him. I doubt he will listen."

Lucy looked over to Natsu to get his opinion but he was gone. Already headed towards Gray with flames, shouting.

"Ice-prick! Stop this right now!"

Natsu attacked Gray but was easily blocked and his flames frozen. Gray punched Natsu with a frozen fist. Natsu was quick to recover and jump to attack him. The others had joined as well, except for Juvia. The other three try to talk to him in between attacks but he wasn't listening.

After a few moments of fighting Ezra pulled the others back and asked,

"Is he even there, wasn't there something about the devil-slayer mark having a demon inside? Could that have taken over?"

Natsu growled,

"No, there is no way he would let that go that far!"

Lucy spoke timidly,

"Natsu he did just lose another family member, maybe he could only take so much?"

Natsu glared,

"Even so, it doesn't matter we still can get him back. I will knock him out and we will drag him back to the master."

They turned their attention back to the devil-slayer mage that had been just destroying things and saw Juvia still close to Gray.

Juvia had been watching Gray and trying to talk to him. Nothing was getting through. Juvia hugged him from behind. For a moment they were all frozen, including Gray. Natsu and the others hoped that Juvia would bring Gray back to his senses. For a moment it seemed to work. But only a moment and then Gray moved faster than they could blink and froze Juvia and was gone.
