Day 4- Anakin Giving Ahsoka a Piggyback Ride

Ahsoka yawned as she stumbled back to the gunship that was waiting for her and Anakin.

Her master, a few paces ahead of her, was holding up just fine after the battle. But she could feel her legs wanting to give out underneath her, the muscles exhausted, unable to even burn as they would after a long workout.

"Master!" she called out as loudly as her voice would let her. Anakin paused and turned. "I'm too tired."

"Come on, Snips," Anakin beckoned. "You'll be fine. The ship isn't that much farther. You're keeping all the boys waiting."

Ahsoka yawned again. "I know, I'm sorry," she groaned slightly. "But my legs are tired. I don't think I can keep walking."

She looked down at her feet, trying very carefully to place one in front of the other.

"You're doing great!" Anakin called back to her. He turned around again. "Let's go."

But Ahsoka knew any moment her legs would give out.

And they did.

Without warning, as she stepped with her right foot, her knees buckled and went to the ground, bringing her with them.

"Master!" Ahsoka called out, half laughing and reaching for him. In the distance she could also see one of the troops from the gunship pointing to her.

Anakin turned around. He laughed and jogged back to where his padawan had fallen. "You really can't walk, huh, Snips?" he jested as he lifted her up onto his back.

She rolled her eyes. "I tried to tell you, but you wouldn't listen; my legs feel like jelly."

"I know that feeling," Anakin chuckled. "But at least they held out until after the battle. Wouldn't have been too great had you collapsed during it."

"No," Ahsoka chuckled, resting her head on her master's. "It wouldn't have been. 'm glad I did'n."

Anakin laughed as her words began to slur. "You must be exhausted! You're starting to sound ridiculous."

Ahsoka frowned. "I'm always ridiculous, actually. So there!"

"I'm sure you are, Snips," Anakin smiled.

They approached the ship and Anakin went to put down his sleepy padawan, but she grabbed on tighter and shook her head.

"Now you really are being ridiculous. What will I do with you?"

"Keep me!" Ahsoka grinned, stupidly.

The troopers suppressed laughter as the banter approached the ship. Or they tried to. Anakin rolled his eyes at them as he got on.

"She's being ridiculous," he explained to them.

As though prompted, Ahsoka stuck two fingers behind Anakin's head, causing a soft chuckle to makes its way through the men.

Anakin shook his head. "I don't think I want to know," he sighed.
