A/N this mainly takes place in the "dream world" Ranma and Kasumi are in

Ranma and Kasumi returned home from the store. While Ranma went to the kitchen and started putting away the groceries, Kasumi went to the laundry room to transfer the load she had had in the washer to the dryer. After that was done Kasumi entered the kitchen to see a slightly wet Ranma-chan (a.k.a Ranko) now wearing an apron to cover her blouse and skirt (that she had changed into using fast change) already at work preparing the food.

"Ranma, you don't have to do that," she said as she slipped her apron on

"Maybe not, but I wanna help you. Especially since -sigh- everyone returns today"

They were about a half-hour from finishing up when Nodoka entered the kitchen and said "Hi girls," Ranma winced but greeted her "do you girls need any help?" while Nabiki took their bags upstairs to their rooms

"No Mom, we're almost done so please go sit down and relax"

"Your sure?"

"I am" Kasumi and Ranma chorused

So she went to the dining room and found Nabiki at the table. As well as Akane who had returned while she was in the kitchen, setting the table and talking to her sister. Deciding not to wait for their fathers Ranma and Kasumi brought out several dishes which contained Hamburger steaks, Hijijki No Nimono (a side dish loaded with both sea and land vegetables), onion salad, Miso soup with Tofu and Genmai (Brown rice)

Return to normalcy

As Monday morning came, Ranma was tossed out of his bedroom window which caused his curse to activate as he landed in the koi pond. The now female Ranma stood up in time to see her father, leaping out of the same window she had been tossed from. Instead of leaping towards him to start their morning fight, she turned so that she was now facing the back wall she then leaned to her left bringing her right leg up.

*CRACK*

Ranma caught Genma in the chin and he dropped to the ground unconscious from the kick*, she then went into the bathroom where she got cleaned up and dressed before entering the kitchen. Where the once again male poured a cup of coffee and grabbed one of the plates before entering the dining room as Kasumi called out

"BREAKFAST"

He put the plate on the table before handing the coffee to the currently zombified Nabiki. Once she had it securely in her hands, he took his spot at the table as Nabiki sipped her coffee and Kasumi brought in the rest of breakfast

"Thanks, Saotome"

"No Prob, Oni*-chan" he replied but surprisingly no one noticed as Akane, Nodoka and Soun sat down at the table

"So you two ready for Grade 11," Soun asked

"If we were going to another school, yes. However, since it's Furniken, no" both Ranma and Akane said at the same time

Once they had finished, the trio headed to school together for once, (and by that I mean Ranma was walking with the girls rather than on the fence). As they passed the ladle lady's house, Ranma was splashed "Every damn time" the now female muttered before stopping and counting down. The girls stopped as well but as Akane was about to ask what she was doing, she found herself being kissed by Shampoo while Nabiki of course took pictures before they broke apart

"Aiyahh, How kitchen destroyer take Airen's place?"

"I didn't you brain-dead hussy, she dodged you"

"That not true, Air..." she trailed off

All three noticed at the same time that Ranma was now several blocks ahead of them pouring water from a thermos onto her head, becoming male once again who yelled back "Hey you two are gonna be late if you don't get moving" the Tendo sisters then took off running leaving Shampoo to wonder why her Airen had dodged her

As they arrived at school they saw Ranma dodge Kuno's attack before kicking him in the stomach hard causing him to double over. Ranma then lifted him onto his shoulders before launching him up over his head dropping him into his left knee into Kuno's face knocking him out. Akane heard someone in the crowd said "Saotome knows the GTS**?" as Ranma headed into school. Nabiki turned to her sister and asked

"Any idea what's up with him today" Akane shrugged "I don't know but I'll if I find out I'll tell you later for two thousand yen off my tab"

"500"

"1000"

"750"

"Fine, deal"

Akane then headed into the school looking for Ranma (she even got Hiroshi and Daisuke to check the bathroom and change room) but no one could find him anywhere so she headed to their classroom hoping he was there but he wasn't.

He still hadn't arrived by the time Miss Hinako entered the room, then a couple minutes later as the bell rang there was still no Ranma. Five minutes after the bell he entered the classroom "Sorry Miss H, I have a" he lept out of the way of the "Happo Fifty-Yen Satsu"** which caused her to suck the energy out of the janitor who had been behind him. Ranma looked at the now-adult Miss Hinako "as I was saying I have a note from the guidance counsellor" he handed her the note, she read it then apologized.

Ranma for a change spent the morning trying to pay attention which made the other students nervous, when lunch came Ranma and Akane went out to their usual spot in the yard. When they sat down Akane asked about this mornings fight with Kuno and he explained that he was incorporating other types of moves into his art to create his own style.

As he was explaining this, Ukyo and Shampoo appeared with food to try and feed him however instead of eating their food as they hoped instead Ranma exploded in anger

"ENOUGH!"

"Ranchan/Airen"

"Shut up I don't want to hear anything from you two, I don't even want to see you. I am still upset with the two of you and the only reason I am not beating your asses into commas is that every non-martial artist walked away from the wedding with no injuries, so this is your last chance for a chance at forgiveness so LEAVE"

"But" they chorused

"But nothing YES, I wasn't ready to get married however since it was a Western ceremony the Priest would say "If there's any reason why these two should not be married speak now or forever hold your peace". I was going to object by saying I don't think we are ready to marry yet, which means the wedding would have been called off especially if Akane also objected, but NOOOOOO you had to attack with LETHAL weapons. Now for the last time stay away from me until I decide to talk to you"

Both hesitated still before finally turning and running away in tears because they knew they screwed up and had probably destroyed any chance of being with Ranma, he even if he forgave them. As for Ranma he collapsed to the ground and he finished his lunch before heading back to his classroom

Kasumi's Birthday

A month after school had started Ranma had started disappearing the second it was out, for several hours at a time. No one knew where he was going or what he was doing, despite attempts to follow him. After two weeks of this happening everyone had had enough and wanted answers so when he returned home one night, he found everyone but The Kunos and Ryoga waiting for him

"Hey what's up?" he asked as he entered the dining room

"Where have you been, boy?"

"Probably out with some new floozie"

"No, and even if there was a new girl it would be the Panda's fault not mine"

"Yeah right you pervert"

"So what Akane? You believe that I am responsible for all my engagements?" she nodded "so, while I was still in my Mother's womb I was going around saying "Excuse me, I would like to engage myself to your daughter after I'm born" do you realize how monumentally stupid that sounds?" Akane looked embarrassed and was completely red faced

"HOW DARE YOU CHEAT ON MY DARLING DAUGHTER". Surprisingly Ranma just ignored the Demonheaded Soun

"No care if boy type or girl type, you is cheating on wife then Shampoo kill Airen" he glared at her before saying

"All that is Shampoo is just another of the thousand threats I've heard before"

"Shampoo mean it, Shampoo done waiting for husband so can go home"

"I was NEVER your husband, never will be your husband and you are all my witnesses as you all heard her. So as far as I'm considered this means the Kiss of Marriage is OVER" Cologne went to speak but Ranma continued "and if you try any more of your potions, spells, artifacts etc then Shampoo, I keel you*** and that's not a threat it's a guaran-damn-tee"

"This is not over yet Son-in-law. However, while I don't think she meant it. Since she said she will kill you in either form in front of witnesses, I will have to talk with the council to see how they will want me to proceed."

"Fine, but until you hear from them keep her away from me because now that she has threatened my life I WON'T hold back and I WILL put her in the ground." Cologne nodded "now as for where I have been I have gotten a job"

"Yeah right, Saotome"

"Like anyone would hire a pervert like you?"

"Just tell the truth Ranchan"

"I have told the truth. I have a job and now work after school for a few hours three days a week and six hours when working on weekends, as that is all the time the school will allow for any student that works. You can confirm that with the guidance counciller or..." He turned to Ukyo "you can, isn't that right Uuchan?" she just nodded

"Ok, then where are you working Saotome?"

"Oh no Tendo, I'm not telling"

"Then that means your lying and you don't have a job, so you were out with some floozie"

"I'm not lying and I'm not telling you, uncute tomboy, because to get the job I had to promise I wouldn't tell anyone where I am working as my boss doesn't want the Nermia Wreaking Crew showing up and wrecking the place"

They all agreed that probably would happen if they did know where he was so they agreed to leave it alone. That is all but Nabiki who because one of her lackeys had given her some information on Ranma went a few days later to a maid cafe called Maid Latte****.

When she entered she saw Ranma-chan wearing a maid uniform (a black knee-length dress with a white apron and what looked to her like a corset just under the breasts, black tights with black shoes and a white headband) serving people in a rare moment for her she decided to turn around and went to leave but

"Welcome Home Mistress"

Nabiki froze at the pleasant yet strained voice realizing she had watched her to long and had been caught. So she turned to face her "this way Mistress" Ranma lead her to a table and handed her a menu "Now you know. Please don't tell anyone else, Mistress. I want to keep this job" Nabiki just nodded and ordered a coffee but when Ranma came back she also had a chocolate parfait as she put it down she whispered "a little insurance, My treat."

A few weeks later when Ranma received her first paycheque she gave some of it to Nabiki as she no longer wanted to be a freeloader like the Panda, she opened a bank account and put most of it into it then she used the rest for a gift. Later that day Ranma returned to the dojo with a gift box

"What's that boy a gift for your fiancée?"

"I'm glad you are finally taking your engagement to Akane seriously"

"Nice of you to buy your fiancée a gift, son". Akane smiled and held out her hands

"It's not for her old man, it's for Kasumi" he said as he handed her the gift

"Boy, the only one you should be buying gifts for is your fiancée"

"Maybe if I had ONE I would, but I bought it for Kasumi because today's a special day"

"Oh, and what's special about today, Saotome?"

"I hope you joking, Nabiki" seeing the confused looks on their faces "your serious? None of you remembered what today is?"

"There's nothing special about today," Akane said and Kasumi's face fell

"Wow, that's cold. I expected that from your father as he lives in a dream world and doesn't care about anything other than me and you Akane getting married." Soun let out an indignant hey "However, I thought that you her sisters would have remembered your Sister's birthday"

Soun, Nabiki and Akane exchanged shocked looks "they may have forgotten but I didn't. Happy Birthday, Kasumi" She opened the box and pulled out a beautiful dark blue dress (A-line pleated sleeveless cocktail party dress with floral lace) "Go get changed I'm taking you out to celebrate your birthday" she opened her mouth "don't you dare argue, we're going" she gave him a peck on the cheek then ran up to her room.

Ranma then headed upstairs to get ready himself, Ranma came down soon after and he was now wearing a suit (his Mom had bought) he had his hair done in a ponytail rather then his usual pigtail it wasn't long before Kasumi came down in her new dress with a touch of makeup, they then headed out to dinner at Pony Corral. While waiting for their food the local band Mike and the Eastwood gang started playing so they did a little bit of dancing

After that night Ranma and Kasumi started hanging out more and no one thought anything of it because they just saw it as stuff you do with friends (shopping (in girl form), movies, concerts, conventions etc (and yes I know those can be things for dates too but they don't think that)) heck he or rather she started working in the kitchen with her.

The only one who did see something wrong with this new relationship was Kodachi who ended up being Hospitalized by Ranma and Akane as they had broken several of her bones after she attacked Kasumi, shortly after her birthday.

You might think oh they wouldn't do that but Kodachi caused Kasumi to her to sprain her ankle and brake her arm, so once Kodachi was patched up she was sent to a mental hospital for evaluation and is waiting trial. Because of this Ranma decided to offer to train not only Kasumi once she was well but her sisters too

Ranma Moves out

After Kasumi was fully healed from Kodachi's attack, she joined her sisters in training and soon proved that like Nabiki she still did practice katas from time to time to keep in shape. However while Ranma would run them through exercises and katas he was sparing with Akane...barely but after two weeks

"Damn it Ranma, HIT ME!"

"Not yet, Akane but as soon as we get your speed up" this caused her to falter as she was expecting him to just flat out refuse

"Really?"

"Yup your nearly ready for that step, your sisters however still have away to go yet"

Two weeks of training had passed before things started going back to the usual level of craziness, with rivals attacking out of nowhere, fiancées trying to get in his pants, gaining frequent flyer points on mallet airways, Kuno trying to get into her his girl side's pants, as well as a few more fiancés appearing so when Nodoka announced that her house was fully repaired and she was moving back, Ranma decided to drop a bomb on everyone

"I'm leaving"

"WHAT!"

"Before you get started, one of my coworkers asked me to housesit for a few weeks and I said yes, so I will be living there while I'm house sitting

"I forbid it"

"You will stay here and marry Akane"

"You know what Pop, that's not happening?"

"WHAT?"

"It doesn't matter what you want, it's not your life it's mine and I'm tired of playing make believe. I have told Akane a few times "I Love You" but either you two pop up saying "way to trick her, boy" or she says "like I want to be loved by a perverted freak like you" it's clear we're never gonna get married. So, again I'm leaving"

Soun and Genma went to attacked but Nodoka pulled her sword causing them to freeze he thanked her, grabbed his pack said goodbye to the girls and his Mother giving her and Kasumi a promise of staying in contact before leaving what had been his home for the last while

Over the following month, Ranma went to school, went to work, trained, he even took Kasumi out a few times. Then once his coworker returned from her vacation, Ranma headed over to his Mother's (newly rebuilt) house. Once he entered the house he asked if he could live there while he saves for his own place. She of course said "Yes" as after nearly thirteen years her baby boy (and girl) were finally home

As Ranma, sat in his new room he thought about the changes that been happening. He was taking school more seriously, he...well she had a job and somewhat liked, a couple of coworkers had become her friends (they even knew about the curse as he told them when he was hired and they didn't care), he was now training the Tendo Sisters, he now had a brother or was it sister...(eh whatever) as Nodoka adopted Konatsu, he was hanging out with Kasumi since she was no longer doing everything for her family any more, Kodachi was now a resident of the local mental hospital.

Then to top it off the Amazon's were no longer a problem as the council declared their marriage annulled only if Ranma was to adopted into the tribe as Shampoo's shield sister. This however meant he now had no fiancées (or one if you believed Genma and Soun)

However, the biggest change was about to happen
