Day 8- Ahsoka sleeping on top of Rex
Ahsoka was still getting use to her position as commander, and so far her least favorite thing to do was the reports after missions. She understood why they were important, but she often found them to be boring and mind-numbing.
She sighed and put down her datapad. She looked over at Rex who was sitting across from her on his bed.
"Do I really have to do this?" she asked, not for the first time.
Rex glanced up at her. "If you wanna be good at your job, sir, then yes."
"Are you ever going to give me a different answer," she groaned.
"Maybe if you stop complaining, kid," Rex shrugged getting back to working on his own report.
Ahsoka sighed and picked up the datapad again. Technically it didn't need to be turned in tonight, just by tomorrow afternoon…the words were all starting to blur together anyway.
She rubbed her eyes and yawned. "I can't focus, Rex," Ahsoka mumbled.
Rex looked up again to find Ahsoka was sitting with her eyes closed, the datapad slipping from her fingers. Her head starting to fall towards her chest and he could see her chest rise and fall steadily. "Well, get some rest then, little'un," he chuckled.
Ahsoka hummed and smiled a little bit, but was soon back to her previous falling asleep appearance.
Rex smiled and shook his head. She wasn't going to be to comfortable like that; maybe her body would shift her into a more comfortable position.
He himself was getting stiff, and so he rolled onto his stomach, now able to stretch his legs a little more. He let out a sigh and relaxed a little.
A few moments later he felt little hands on his calves and they made their way up to his back. Then, he could feel as the Commander positioned herself on top of him, fitting nicely in the spot.
"Thi's'nice," Ahsoka said.
Rex chuckled. "I'm glad, kid. Now get some rest."
Ahsoka hummed again and snuggled closer. Rex knew she would be asleep soon.
