Wooo new chapter! Happy Holidays! Please review

I woke up drenched in sweat and unable to move my legs. I felt like I had been put into a straight jacket that was doing its best cocoon impression. My scooting and struggling made my trap shift itself revealing that Starfire was part of my prison. She had tucked me into bed under every blanket in the house and became the big spoon with no blankets on her.

"Starfire, what are you doing?" I asked when she simply fluffed my pillow and shed one layer of fleece throw blanket like that was going to make a difference at all. I noticed that my pillowcases had been changed and she had but a dark towel on the one she had been using. Her hair was unbraided and I could see the shard. She must of taken a shower since it seemed damp still and extra red with the blue blood washed out.

"You fainted and I wanted to make sure you were safe while you slept. You kept shivering so I got more blankets until you stopped." She said and closed her eyes as if she was going to go back to sleep. "Are you okay now?"

"I am fine." I said and was surprised that once I was free from my nest of blankets that my limbs did not feel as achy as I had expected. When I overused my hexes I would feel weak, achy, and painfully cold for a few days after. Now I still felt tired and somewhat achy, but sure as hell not cold. "How long was I out?"

"About a day." She answered and my doorknob jiggled across the room where Starfire immediately made a hissing sound.

"Starfire, eat." Came Kyd Wykkyd's command from the door. Well at least the bastard had not been arrested. She relaxed and ceased reminding me she was genetically related to cats.

"Can I eat too or am I not as special?" I sniped back since I found myself suddenly starving. My stomach made a sound of agreeance.

"Eat." Came his response and I knew he was gone.

I tried to stand to find gravity was a little extra potent today as my body rushed downwards. I was caught by Starfire who's hands steadied my waist until I had my feet back under me. It was like my ankle had come to haunt me. Starfire shifted so her legs were hanging off the bed.

"I can just carry you again." She offered and I was not comfortable with all this help she was offering. It was too much. I needed space. Though I was not sure my actual abilities to hobble away.

"No I'm fine, Koriandr', just go ahead." I hoped my tone and use of her name showed her I needed some privacy.

"I am quite hungry. I cannot promise food if you take too long." She said not happy with her dismissal, but left when she removed her hands and I stayed standing. Her feet did not touch the ground which did not jostle my stance. It was weird seeing her hair wet and loose again. It moved differently than her actual body swishing furiously even though her movements were delicate. I had been changed out of my shoes and other hazards parts of my uniform. My hair was in a rare braid that I assumed she had done in my sleep. I needed another talk on boundaries.

"Fuck." I whispered as my legs were reluctant to actually work. I would have to really stretch to get everything back to how it needed to be. Though the smell of food that floated in through my partially cracked door was motivating.

I could smell fresh bread and lemon. Though as I got through the door I saw a spread I never expected. We had a scale of how fancy our victory meal was based on who got arrested. If one person was arrested we could get outback steakhouse, two people it was Applebees, and three people it degraded to Taco Bell. Billy must have been able to get all the bags out and no one was arrested if they had splurged on Red Lobster.

They must have bought out a Red Lobster with the massive piles of food on the table. It almost felt like my birthday with the food selection. I loved the coconut shrimp. I sat down at my normal seat and appreciated that someone had taught Starfire she was not supposed to eat the shells. I had my money on Billy since he was facing her.

Though she was like a hurricane with how quickly she was demolishing food. I was glad that the shrimp was easily in reach since it was obvious I might get bit if I leaned too far in her space.

"Glorious." She said as she experienced her first cheddar baked biscuit. Her eyes went so wide and Billy, Seemore, and Mammoth laughed at her expression.

"You can eat a lot more of those if you keep beating the Titans to a pulp." Seemore said and pushed the basket closer to her.

"Have you seen the news footage?" Billy asked me as Starfire paused for a second and tilted her head. I wasn't sure if Seemore had entered her bite zone or not.

"No, I was there for all of it." I responded still a little miffed we had been left behind.

"Unlike some people." Gizmo echoed as he took another helping of the scampi. I was appreciative of him also throwing some shade since I doubted Starfire knew how purposely.

"We would not of made a difference." Wykkyd said confidently as he himself grabbed a biscuit without consequences.

"You will have to fill us in on all the details." Seemore said and I knew he was looking elsewhere, but his words were directed at me. He wanted to know if she remembered anyone while she was fighting and to all my knowledge she did not.

"While I do not approve of theft, I would not be opposed to fighting the dark haired woman again." Starfire butted in when she went for a beverage. I suspected that Seemore had mixed margaritas for everyone, but I was going to see her reaction before I drank one myself.

"Wonder Girl right?" I asked to anyone since we didn't really have time to brief her on names, but I wanted to make sure she didn't mean Raven.

"I believe so, you have such interesting names on Earth. She would be fun to fight in a more open area. She didn't even take out her sword…" She sounded wistful as she cracked open the shell of a crab.

"It's not like you have a sword yourself." Gizmo pointed out and flinched as he expected her to throw something at him. Though she paused to consider. I was starting to wonder if she was glitching out due to her injury. How much brain damage were we dealing with?

"You are right, I need to fix that." She said and abandoned her plate to wash her hands before shooting out for notebook.

"Now you've done it." I said since now she would have a sword. It appeared that she was absorbed with drafting one.

"Hey Candy, I have better sketch paper in my room. You are free to go get it, top drawer in the desk." Seemore offered her and she went automatically to go get it. Just what we needed to arm the super powered alien with PTSD.

"So?" This was Billy trying to get details while she was occupied.

"She didn't hold back for any of them. Probably would of killed them if we didn't have a discussion beforehand. She's wiped." I said in a quiet voice watching the door for her reappearance.

"Damn, that's crazy." Billy voiced and I saw Wykkyd not change in facial expression but posture to a more I told you so.

"How much did we end up taking home?" I asked gesturing to our feast. It had to be a lot if they were willing to feed the blackhole of Starfire's stomach with lobster.

"More than the total take home of all last year. Plus we don't have to give Candy a full cut." Seemore said with a sharp grin. It had been discussed we just cover her food and maybe some clothes, but she did not deserve an equal cut. Reparations for the hits she had given us over the years.

"Can someone help her get new clothes? I don't want to see…" Gizmo was not a perv one of his good traits.

"I'll handle it." Seemore said.

"No." Mammoth was the one who disagreed and I suspected that he had not wanted Seemore to mess around with his new sister stand in. "I'll buy, she can pick them out."

"Fine with me, I gotta send as much home to my girl as I can. She's due for a new ring too." Billy said and I realized why he still had a girl. I wasn't sure what she did when he was in prison, but it seemed as healthy as anything from his perspective.

"Angel may be willing to take her if she is given freedom of my card." Wykkyd said though he never seemed to mind when Angel went shopping and seemed happy for the day.

"Whipped." Gizmo muttered and ended face forward in his food as a hand appeared from a portal and pushed him down.

Bells rang out as Starfire returned and watched Gizmo's situation. She seemed to be in a better mood after a fight. With how much she needed to get rid of her pent up stress on the safe, I was happy she had not uncovered our deception. Violence seemed to a language she spoke fluently and wanted to exchange. As long as it was against the Titans, I would have no qualms.
