Chapter 11
Bella POV
A/N: A little graphic for the first couple of paragraphs! WARNING!
They were able to get a few hours of shut eye before they were too wound up to go back to sleep. Bella was woken by Edward between her legs, she had a feeling that he was using her as a distraction but the bigger part of her didn't care. Edward could use her however much he wanted if she got to feel this good.
She called out his name as he found his release and before she could even catch her breath Edward was inside of her. He thrusted inside of her and before she thought was possible she was already on the brink of another orgasm.
"Edward, I'm close," she whispered to him. He grunted and then sat backwards so he was on his knees, and then brought her legs up so they were straight in the air. This wasn't their usual love making, this was full on fucking. After a few more thrusts Bella couldn't control her outburst and screamed out his name, Edward entered her two more times before he groaned out his release.
He pulled out of her and - after grabbing some tissue off of his nightstand and wiping them both off - laid down so he was on his side facing her.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled. When he looked into her eyes she saw nothing but shame, she reached up with her hand to gently stroke his cheek.
"Edward, you didn't do anything you need to be sorry for," she told him.
"I acted like an animal, I just couldn't stop myself and I needed you so badly," he whispered the last part as if to himself.
"Baby, you don't have to be ashamed, I kind of...liked it." She bit her lip as she waited for him to respond. It took a few seconds but he finally brought his eyes up and looked at hers.
"You enjoyed that?" She could hear a small amount of hope in his voice.
"Edward, I would never have let you keep going if I wasn't a full willing participant," she told him.
"True." She raised her eyebrows at him until she noticed his shoulders relax somewhat. "I had a nightmare about Rose dying and when I woke up and saw you sleeping next to me looking all sorts of sexy I couldn't help myself."
"I give you permission to do that anytime." She loved her sex life with Edward, he was never afraid to try something new or tell her his fantasies - she would, in return, tell him hers. He never left her unsatisfied like some of her previous relationships had.
When his phone rang on the nightstand next to him he froze for a moment. Bella rubbed his arm and whispered, "It's going to be okay." He nodded his head and answered the call.
It was his mom telling them that nothing changed, Rose was still hooked up to all the machines but the doctors were hopeful about waking her up within the next twenty four hours. Her brain swelling had gone down significantly and that was cause for them to breathe again. Things were looking up for Rose.
Bella couldn't have been happier so - after another round in bed - they got in the car and went to hospital with all of Carlisle and Esme's needs just in case Rose woke up early. Edward wanted to be there when she opened her eyes.

"So, how's everything going over there?" Bella asked Alice. While Edward was in the room with Rosalie Bella had decided to call Alice to make sure that everything was going fine in Washington. She was in the hallway just outside of the waiting room where she was still able to see inside but couldn't be heard.
"It's going. If you're not back by Monday I'll make sure to go to all of your professors and see about getting any notes that you missed," Alice said.
"Ugh," she groaned out. The last thing on her mind right now was school, she was focused on Edward and his family.
"How are you doing, really?" Alice asked her after a few minutes of silence on both of their ends.
"Just worried; about Edward, his family, Rosalie. It seems like so much bad is happening, I just keep telling myself to think positive thoughts and everything will turn out fine but it's hard when the waiting is the worst part," she explained. "Just keep talking, I really need a distraction. What are you doing today?" She asked her.
"Well, umm, I have a lunch date with Jasper, my OB appointment, and then I need to make my weekly call to my parents so they don't worry too much," she told her.
"Why do you have an appointment, are you okay?" Bella didn't think that she would be able to handle the stress if something was wrong with Alice, too. It was just too much at once.
"I'm fine, I just have my monthly checkup to get my shot again, you know how it goes," Alice said.
"Yeah," Bella mumbled. It was a pain to get the shot done every single month but Bella was used to it at this point, she'd been on the shot since she was 18 when she'd considered having sex for the first time.
Bella saw Edward come through the door so she immediately said her goodbyes to Alice before going to him.
"How'd it go?" She whispered. There was something about waiting rooms that made her feel like she had to whisper, she didn't want to disrupt anyone.
"It's just so hard to see her like that," he told her. "I just hope that she keeps doing better and then they will wake her up, I would do just about anything to see her eyes open."
Bella just wrapped her hand around his arm and laid her head on his shoulder to show her support. He leaned his head on top of hers and they just sat like that for a few minutes. Bella thought back to her conversation with Alice and how simple her life was over in Washington. She'd give anything to be back home with Edward and have his family safe.
She couldn't get what Alice said out of her mind, though. She didn't know why it bothered her so much but as she sat there with Edward there wasn't much else for her to think about. At least talking with Alice helped Bella remember to make her own appointment within the coming weeks so she could have her shot reupped. It was at that thought that Bella froze where she was sitting.
When was the last time she'd been to the OB?
She wracked her brain but the last time she could remember was right before she left Forks and came to Seattle. She was supposed to make another appointment a month into the school year but due to the stress she was under with schoolwork and then the new relationship with Edward she'd completely spaced it.
All of a sudden she had trouble swallowing so she told Edward that she had to go to the bathroom and would be right back. When she'd locked herself into one of the stalls she pulled out her phone and brought up the calendar app, she counted down the weeks since she had the shot. No matter how she counted she came up with the same number.
Ten weeks.
How could she have been so stupid as to forget a simple thing like her shot? She even had it marked on her phone but she'd completely spaced it out.
If her counting was right - after the third time she was pretty confident in her counting - then her shot expired a little over six weeks ago.
"No, no, no," she mumbled to herself. What was she going to do, she took deep breaths so she was thinking calmly. She didn't feel nauseous, she wasn't more hormonal than normal, and her breasts weren't sore - those were all good signs that she wasn't what she thought she was (she was too scared to even think the P word). But she also knew that she hadn't had her period, she hadn't had it while she was on the shot but she wasn't sure if it was supposed to start right back up after it had expired. If it had - she was in trouble.
She let herself out of the stall and paced in front of the sinks trying to think of a way that she could get it either confirmed or denied. The only thing she could think of was talking to a nurse but she didn't know how she could do that without Edward suspecting something. She'd already been gone so long that he might've already been wondering about her so she would have to force herself to put on a straight face and not worry Edward.
The next couple hours were pure agony for Bella, she wanted more than anything to tell Edward but she didn't want to stress him out more than he already was. She had to find out first before telling him.
When visiting hours were announced to be ending each of the family members took a moment to be with Rosalie. If all continued to go well then tomorrow morning they would lighten her drugs and she would hopefully wake up. Edward was the last one to say goodbye to Rosalie so Bella was alone in the waiting room and took that as her cue to find a nurse.
She walked down the hallways just a little bit and found the nurse's station. She took a deep breath before approaching it.
"How can I help you, dear?" The nurse seemed to be in her late fifties with very kind eyes, she immediately put Bella at ease.
"I don't exactly know. Umm, you see, I just realized earlier today that I never re upped my birth control shot." Before she continued she looked around herself to make sure that she didn't know anyone within earshot. She looked back at the nice nurse. "I don't think I am but it would be nice to know for sure...if I'm pregnant," she explained.
"When were you supposed to get the shot again?" The nurse asked, she had no judgement in her voice which made Bella feel slightly better.
"Six weeks ago."
"Have you had your period or intercourse within those six weeks?" The nurse was typing things into her computer as she asked Bella the questions.
"No to the first but yes to the second," Bella whispered.
"So the fastest we can find out is with a urine test," the nurse told her. She rummaged through some drawers under the table and motioned for Bella to follow her down the hall and to the restrooms. Bella took a deep breath before she followed.
"Have you had any symptoms?" The nurse asked her.
"I don't think so." When they reached the bathroom Bella did feel like she was going to throw up but she knew that had more to do with nerves than anything else.
She took the cup from her - she saw that her name tag said Carla - and locked the door behind her. She took her phone out of her back pocket first to text Edward that she needed to go to the bathroom and she would meet him in their car. She wasn't completely lying to him but she still didn't feel comfortable omitting such an important thing from him.
After she gave her sample to Carla she told Bella that it would take just about ten minutes for her to get a definitive answer. Bella told her that she would wait and took a seat on a bench that was down another hallway so there wasn't a chance that Edward would run into her.
She placed her head in between her legs and grabbed two fistfuls of her hair to try to reign in some calm. She prayed that she wasn't pregnant, now was not the time for her and Edward to have a baby - she wanted one in the future but that was like five to ten years from now.
Five minutes came and went and soon enough the clock was showing her that she had been sitting there for ten minutes when her phone rang, Edward's name lit up the screen and she debated for a minute about answering it but that was when she saw Carla turning into the hallway. She silenced the phone but sent a quick text to Edward that she was on her way and apologized for taking so long. She glanced down at her phone when it buzzed again in her hands and smiled at his kind words.
It's okay, love. Take your time, I'll be waiting for you. -Edward
She didn't reply back but sucked in a breath when Carla stopped in front of her and motioned for her to sit back down on the bench - she hadn't even realized that she was standing.
"So, I did two tests to make sure that I gave you the right results and it does look like you're pregnant, sweetheart. My guess is you are somewhere around six weeks along," she saw the distraught look on Bella's face and placed her hand on top of hers and gave her a reassuring squeeze. "Honey, breathe," she reminded her.
Bella took a deep breath, she had to fight back the tears that she could feel behind her eyes. "How could I be so stupid? What am I going to do?" She meant to say those to herself but Carla forced her gaze up so she could look into Bella's eyes.
"Dear, you are not stupid, never think that you are. You made a mistake, everyone has the right to make mistakes. Now, you need to figure out what you want; do you want to keep this baby? You have options," Carla told her.
Bella knew that she wouldn't be able to abort the child that was growing inside of her and she also knew that she wouldn't be strong enough to give the child to a loving family. She may have only known that she was pregnant for a couple minutes but she already loved the small baby inside of her. The real question she needed to ask herself was, What would Edward do?

Bella was quiet for the rest of the night, she tried to say that it was her nerves but she could tell that Edward didn't believe her. He didn't pry any more than that but she could tell that it was bothering him that she didn't confide in him. She wanted to so badly but she didn't want to put any more additional pressure or stress on him. After Rosalie woke up was when she was going to tell him.
"Bella, what's wrong?" Edward asked her as they were lying in bed attempting to get some shut eye.
She could hear the anguish in his voice and knew that he was imagining the worst case scenario. In her effort to protect him from more stress by not saying anything she was just causing him more stress.
"Baby, it's okay. It's nothing bad, I hope, but I just need to get my head wrapped around it just a little bit longer, okay? After Rosalie wakes up tomorrow and everything is better on that front I'll tell you," she told him.
"Okay." He wasn't happy with her answer but he didn't sound so worried anymore. She just had to hope that he wouldn't leave her when he found out.

The rest of the night was uneventful, the family went to the hospital hoping with everything they could that this was going to be a good day. Bella couldn't believe that it was only Sunday, it felt like so much longer since Edward had gotten the phone call about his sister. So much of their lives were changed by this trip, Bella knew that she would never be the same.
They waited in the waiting room for about thirty minutes before the doctor came out and told them that they were lightening her drugs and would know within the hour if she woke up. The entire family sighed in joint relief and then continued waiting. Forty-five minutes later the doctor came through the door with the best news, "She's waking up."
Bella noticed that Esme fell to her knees crying in relief, Carlisle held her but still had tears in his eyes. Emmett wasn't in the room - he'd been inseparable from Rosalie. All Edward did was whisper, "Thank God." He pulled Bella into his arms and she felt the subtle shake of his shoulders that signaled he was crying. She held him in her arms, she had to hold back the tears that wanted to come with the relief that was coursing through her body.
After Edward came back from seeing Rose Bella could see the relief in his eyes. She just hoped that when he found out the other news that he would take it just as well. She didn't know what she would do if he didn't.
The next couple hours were spent with the family going in and out of Rose's hospital room. Bella wanted to wait until Rose was more awake before she met her. She just made sure that everyone was eating and drinking and taking care of themselves.
"Bella, can I take you somewhere?" Edward asked her around two in the afternoon. He was still smiling - she didn't think that he had stopped smiling ever since he found out his sister woke up.
When Bella nodded her head Edward took her hand and dragged her to his car. He hummed along to the radio until they got to a small park. It was beautiful - it had wild flowers planted around it with a picnic table off to the side - Edward pulled Bella towards the center and laid down with her in his arms.
"Bella, this day has been amazing. Thank you for coming with me and keeping me sane at a time where it would be so easy to go crazy. I can't believe that you are all mine, I love you so much," he told her. They lost themselves in their kiss for a few minutes before he pulled away to look into her eyes. "Now what was it you wanted to wait to tell me?"
She was kind of hoping that he would've forgotten. She still hadn't wrapped her head around the fact that her and Edward were going to have a baby together. Well, guess she was winging it, she thought.
"So, yesterday I got some good news, at least I think it's good news, but I wanted to wait to tell you because I didn't want to add more onto your plate until I knew that Rosalie was okay and now that we know she's going to get past this it should be as good a time as any to tell you but I just don't want you to freak out, okay, and I want you to remember that I didn't do this on purpose and senior year's just been so stressful for me so far that it's lucky if I remember to wear clothes to class-"
"Bella, breathe," Edward cut her off and told her. She took a deep breath, she was rambling, she was so nervous and that wasn't something that she really ever did. "Love, just tell me whatever it is, I promise that I won't overreact," he said.
She took a moment to focus her thoughts before saying the words that would forever change their lives.
"I'm pregnant."
A/N: I really hope that you guys like that surprise little twist. I wanted to make Bella pregnant all along. When I read these stories everyone portrays Bella as a 'perfect' mom, never loses her temper, or anything like that. After I had my son 7 months ago I realized that you can still be a perfect mom and need time to yourself or let your child cry themselves to sleep. I just wanted to portray that type of mom! Thank you!
And, like always, REVIEW!
