Happy 28th Birthday too me! Also Happy 54th Birthday to my Dad.
And like I do every year for my stories here is an update for you!

Chapter .4.
"…Staring with what the HELL were you thinking?!" Tony growls at them.
"Tones get in your car and calm down. We will deal with this in private", Carol orders
Tony growls and stalks away.
"Into the limo!" Carol orders
"Before Tones kills you", Hope mutters
They were ushered into the large limo. Once they were all in and buckled up Happy starts the drive back to the city.
"You guys are so lucky", Susan tells them
"So lucky Tony hasn't killed you yet", Hope tells them
"Why did he come?" Steve asks baffled
"He is not cold-hearted Stevie", James tells him
"How would you know?" Steve asks confused
Carol, Hope and Susan look at him knowingly. James notices their looks.
"You know?" James asks them to the others confusion.
"Of course. But we won't break Tony's trust", Susan replies.
"I want to know how Stark knew what was going on", Scott asks
All three plus Happy who was discreetly listening rolled their eyes.
"Honestly Scott. Who owns the Avengers Compound?" Hope asks like they are dumb.
"Stark", Fury states
"Yes and do you honestly think Tony would be blind to what was going on in one of his buildings?" Susan asks them
"They disabled the cameras", Scott protests
"And security", Sam states
"He has secret security measures, doesn't he? It is like I do", Shuri states
Hope and Susan smile at her.
"Correct. Tony wouldn't give a building away that he doesn't believe is safe for those that occupy it or houses the people he cares about", Susan tells them.
"But Hammer, Doom and Ross and all those men still got in", Hunter points out as Bobbi hits his arm, "Owww"
"But Tony was alerted the second they captured you", Hope tells them
"He can't care about us", Clint states looking sad.
"Why not?" Carol asks
"Because of how we ALL treated him", Steve states
"I basically betrayed him", Natasha tells them
"I kind of recked his suit", Scott states
"I made cars fall on him and accused him of killing my parents not listening to what he had to say", Wanda states
"I was nasty to him in the Rift and didn't hear him out", Clint states
"I left him and abandoned him to take the blame of Slovakia after all he has done for me", Bruce says looking ashamed and down.
"I knocked his best friend out of the air and also wasn't nice when he visited the Raft", Sam states
"I betrayed him by turning my back on him when I promised I would always be there. I abandoned him like everyone else", Rhodey states
"I am not exactly known for being nice too him. And I have to admit I do ask a lot of him", Fury states even through he didn't what to admit it.
"I made him believe I was dead. When I knew he would have kept it a secret if I asked", Coulson states wincing at the memory.
Carol, Hope, Susan and Happy listen to them admitting to their wrongs. That was a big step. Happy gave Carol, Hope and Susan a signal to say Tony was listening.
"And I kept the knowledge of his parents death from him. Used his money to find Bucky. And I basically attacked him to he couldn't move and I learnt he had to be rescued. I sent him that obnoxious letter and abandoned him to only have Vision and Spider-Man as back up", Steve states looking ashamed.
"Damn they are going to make it impossible for me to stay mad at"
Carol, Hope, Susan and Happy hear as their earpieces activate again.
"I think you will you are starting to make up for those choices", Hope tells them.
"Even through he hated to see you basically welcome violence for not getting him involved", Susan adds
"Oh and he is pissed about that", Hope adds
"Damn right I am pissed off at them. I am giving Mama Bird a run for her money with how angry she is at Bird Brain. I have to let you go. See you at the Tower", Tony tells them as the ear pieces deactivate.
"I may have not been there when he found out. And only arrived at the end of the fight. But I would say you scared him", Carol informs them.
"Scared him? The Great Tony Stark?" Scott asks confused, "Hank wouldn't agree with your assessment"
"My Father might surprise you", Hope tells him.
"Why is Daisy with him?" Coulson asks
"She is not exactly with us. She comes when needed. Your just lucky she was close. But she probably would have asked Teleporter to bring her here thorough when she heard the name 'Ross'", Hope tells them.
"Teleporter? We didn't hear that name at the Compound", Natasha asks curiously
"Why has she got it in for Ross? I taught her not to let her emotions get in the way", Melinda asks
"Teleporter had family issues and couldn't be here", Susan replies
"And as for Ross you will have to get that story from Daisy herself", Hope tells them
"When did Tony get JARVIS back?" Rhodey asks curious
"A while. There is no other AI that Tony trusts more then JARVIS. And he just needed JARVIS back", Carol replies knowing Tony had gotten JARVIS back when he was betrayed.
She also know Tony just needed someone or something he could trust completely after so many betrayals.
They also knew that Tony still wasn't really trusting. Even with Pepper. Or them. Or James and they were dating.
But they had noticed that Tony DID trust Peter Parker and Harley Keener. Something about the kids let Tony trust them.
The rescued group all pondered the answers that they were given. They had many, many questions that they wanted answers too.
"Buck how do you know Tony? You haven't spent time with him", Steve asks still confused.
"I kind of been talking to Tony for a while", James admits trying not to tell them he was actually dating.
Carol, Hope and Susan wanted to roll their eyes at James trying to avoid answering the question. They didn't know why he bothered as it was likely everyone would find out soon. Even tonight when Tony was very, very likely to make James sleep on the couch.
"I wouldn't think he would see you", Sam states
"I wouldn't if you killed my parents", Leo mutters, "Owww", he says as Jemma hits his arm.
"We mended our differences", James replies trying not to look uncomfortable.
Hope and Susan try not to snicker. Happy was already quietly chuckling. Carol gives them all looks telling them to be quiet with just her eyes.
"Who are you?" Fury asks with his eye trained on Carol.
(AN: In this story Fury doesn't know Carol)
"Captain Carol Danvers. Former Air Force pilot. Now after a accident you could say I was given powers. So I travel the galaxies helping different planets. That is why I wasn't here at the start. I was half a galaxy away when Tony's call came through", Carol replies, "People call me Captain Marvel"
"How do you know Stark?" Coulson asks
"Childhood friends", Carol replies truthfully
"He never mentioned you", Rhodey asks looking at her strangely
Carol shrugs, "Tony as you know has trust issues. His trust issues have issues and those have issues"
"Isn't that an understatement", Happy mutters from the front seat.
"You should know that", Hope points out.
"Well not all off you", Susan amends looking at King T'Challa, Shuri and Coulson's team.
"Why are you with Stark with how much your Father hates him?" Scott asks Hope.
"Not everything is as it seems", Hope replies mystically
Actually Hope was a childhood friend of Tony's. And her Father didn't really hate Tony. They were rivals. And as for having Scott break into the Compound. Well her Dad and Tony had a beat going. And that should say it all.
Tony won that round. Much to her Fathers distaste.
She, Carol, Stephen, Reed and Susan were all childhood friends. With Tony and Reed having a huge rivalry. Actually Tony wanted to kill Reed on a regular basis as Reed had a habit off doing crazy experiments. So Tony actually had to ban him from doing those in the tower. If he did it again Tony threatened Reed with the Hulkbuster Armour. And Stephen threatened him with the Dark Dimension if he opened anymore space rifts in New York. (That nearly destroy the city).
If those threats didn't scare him then his wife Susan's threat hopefully did.
"We are pulling up. But the Tower is still in lockdown. Boss is still not here", Happy informs them pulling up in front of the Tower.
"Thanks Happy", Carol says as they get out.
The group see that the Tower was blacked out. And metal plates were over the windows.
"What the…?" Clint asks
"Lockdown to protect the residents when Halo was away", Hope explains
"What is Halo?" Fury asks
"A Team like the Avengers. But with a different set of rules and structure", Susan replies
"More will be explained at a later date", Carol adds putting an end to the discussion.
Carol, Hope and Susan start talking quietly while the others where off to the side wondering about everything they have learned and they were also worried about Tony. As Tony did take some heavy hits.
James just wanted to apologies to his boyfriend and make sure he was ok. But he wasn't delusional. He knew he was in trouble. He just hoped Tony wasn't as mad as he had been when they left the Compound.
Other cars pull up with other people they had met getting out and go and talk quietly to Carol.
"Reed and the others are parked on the roof. Till Tony lifts the lockdown", Daisy informs them as she gets out of her car with everyone but Tony and Spider-Man.
"Wish he would hurry up", Matt grumbles still in his costume.
"Or give us the code to the Tower", Reality adds
"It is for security that only he had the codes", Betty tells them rolling her eyes.
"Betty can we talk?" Bruce asks nervously
"Later Banner. At the moment I am tried. I am surprised you all not", Betty tells him
Suddenly a car pull up and a teenager jumps out eating ice cream. Tony gets out of the drivers side looking much calmer then before.
"Why does he get ice cream?" Techno asks
"Because of his damn Puppy Dog eyes", Tony grumbles out naturedly
The Halo Team knew that Peter had a habit for cheering Tony up. And it was rare for Tony to deny him something when he gave what Tony called 'Puppy Dog' eyes. That were better then Captain America's. Is what Tony always said.
Tony pulls out a bag off something.
"What is that?" Sharpshooter asks
"Something for the kiddies", Tony replies moving towards the door.
He puts a finger to his ear.
"J unlock the front door. And I suppose let Richards, Storm and Grimm in from the roof", Tony says out loud.
They see the metal plates roll back and the doors open.
"Come on kids", Tony says to everyone
Everyone rolls their eyes at him and quickly walk in. The Avengers nervously follow.
"Carol take the Avengers and Agents in Elevator Three. The rest come in one and two", Tony orders
Everyone nods agreeing with the plan. The Avengers and Agents seemed to realise it was best not to argue with Tony at the moment. And not draw attention to themselves if they didn't want Tony to start yelling at them again.
Once they were all in the elevator it starts to move fast.
"What should we expect?" Steve asks a little nervous
"You will see", Carol replies smirking.
She had been told that Laura Barton was furious so it was likely that Barton was going to get slapped. Lang would likely get a head slap from Hank. Jennifer was likely to try to calmly scold them so she doesn't turn into the She-Hulk. Cooper Barton was likely to totally ignore his Dad in favour of his favourite Uncle, same if Lila was there. And hopefully Harley didn't have his Iron Lad armour on to maybe use it on those her hurt his Father figure. As for Sharon she was likely to slap Rogers on multiple reasons.
The doors of the elevators open at the same time.
And they were voices shouting.
"Uncle Tony!"
"Tony!"
The Avengers and Agents see Cooper and Lila Barton pounce of their 'Uncle Tony'. And a kid in his early teen rushes over to Tony too.
"Why aren't you in bed?" Tony asks the two Barton children.
"They refused to go to sleep until they knew YOU were alright", the voice of Laura Barton says
Clint sees his beautiful wife walking over to them.
She hugs Tony then turns to Clint.
"La…", Clint starts but was broken off but a hard slap to the face.
"Shit!" he curses
Laughter was heard from around the room. Cooper, Lila, the young Teen, and Spider-Man were laughing.
Jennifer Banner was staring at all of them assessing their injuries.
Hank was busy glaring at Scott.
And the Sharon appears and storms up to Steve and slaps him hard across the face. Steve winces looking at her in shock.
"That is for the most stupidest stunt ever", Sharon tells him.
"Really?" Hope asks discreetly looking at Tony.
"Oh that reminds me!" Sharon declares.
She then slaps Tony's face.
"Owww what was that for?" Tony asks grimacing as he touches his aching jaw.
"I stand corrected YOUR stunt was the most stupidest in the world"
