Hello all Storm here with a new story! I won't say much other than hope you all enjoy the story. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
Groaning, a pair of blue-green eyes fluttered open.
'Wh-what? Where…am I?' Thought the person, while rubbing their eyes, only to freeze and look at their hands in shock.
"What the hell?" The person, a girl, said, only to touch their throat in shock at the sound of their voice, even more so when she felt a pulse, a pulse she hasn't had in a long time.
"That…that doesn't make sense, I was dead, I am dead." Muttered the girl, confused about what was going.
Sitting up, the girl took in her surroundings, and saw that she was in what looked like an infirmary, but definitely not one she recognized.
Throwing her legs over the side of the bed, the girl got off, only to stumble slightly at the ground being farther away, than she expected. Looking down at herself, the girl was only further shocked at seeing how short she was, and definitely not a grown woman, now looking like she was twelve or thirteen again. But with one noticeable difference…
"When the fuck did my boobs get this big?" Muttered the girl, surprised at how big her breasts were, when they definitely weren't that big, when she was this age.
The girl was only further confused, when she caught sight of long, beautiful crimson hair. Hair that she could tell, belonged to her, when she grabbed a strand of it, which shouldn't be possible, either. Given the last she checked, she had bright blonde hair.
Now freaking out at what was going on, both at suddenly being younger, and waking up in an unknown location.
"Mirror, mirror, gotta find a mirror." Muttered the girl, while looking around frantically for something, anything, that she could see her reflection in, just to reassure herself, that it was still her, she saw.
Thankfully, she soon found a mirror on the wall, and looked at her reflection, only to see someone that definitely wasn't her, looking back.
Instead, who she saw was a drop-dead gorgeous girl, even at her young age, with long crimson red hair, that went down to her thighs, blue-green eyes, fair white skin, and wearing a sleeping gown, that still showed off her already developing figure.
Blinking once, with the reflection mirroring the action, the girl shakily raised a hand to her face, and saw the reflection doing the same. Confirming that this was indeed herself, that she was currently looking at.
Not a moment later, the girl jumped back, and let out a loud ear-piercing scream.
Running away from the mirror, the girl jumped back onto the bed, that she woke up on, and curled into a ball.
'Okay, okay! Let's just calm down and think this through.' The girl thought frantically, taking several deep breaths to calm herself down, before she started going over what she knew about, who she was.
Her name was Naruko Uzumaki, her parents were Minato Namikaze, the Yondaime Hokage, and Kushina Uzumaki, the Red Death. She was the Jinchūriki of the Kyūbi no Yōko, whose actual name is Kurama, along with being a Ninja of Konohagakure, and the Nanadaime Hokage. Her wives were Satsuki Uchiha, Karin Uzumaki, Shion, Haku Yuki, Yakumo Kurama, Tayuya Uzumaki, Hinata Hyūga and Hanabi Hyūga.
She fought in the Fourth Ninja War, killing that bastard Obito Uchiha, then fought Madara with Satsuki, until that parasite, and momma's boy, Black Zetsu literally stabbed him in the back, and revived Kaguya Otsutsuki. Who Naruko was not ashamed to have ogled, upon seeing the Rabbit Goddess.
She lived for decades, watching her children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren grow up, until she finally passed on, after releasing Kurama. And reunited with her family, in the afterlife.
Then one day, she just vanished, and now woke up in a body, that definitely wasn't her own.
'Okay, okay, given what I remember happening, and my current predicament, I was obviously reincarnated. Now, I just need to figure out who I am reincarnated as.' Naruko thought, as she looked over her new body, while taking a moment to start looking through the memories of her current life.
Still, despite the circumstances, Naruko couldn't help, but admire her now red hair, especially with it having such a beautiful shade of crimson. It reminded her of the Uzumaki Clan, and made her feel closer her to birth mother, from her past-life, Kushina Uzumaki, as well as her cousins/wives, Karin and Tayuya.
Only to look up at the sound of multiple footsteps, before the infirmary doors were literally blown off their hinges, as a group of people jumped in.
"Rias-tan?! Are you alright, what happened, why'd you scream, were you attacked?!" Said a young redheaded man, wearing shoulder armor and noble-esque clothes underneath, while having a destructive black and red aura around him.
With the man were two adults, a man and a woman, who Naruko guessed were either his parents, or maybe his siblings, with how young they all looked. The adult man had the same red hair as the body she was in, and the younger man, along with a goatee, and the same colored eyes. The woman could pass off as her fraternal twin sister, with brown hair and purple eyes, while also having a more mature figure.
There was also a silver haired woman, emitting an icy aura, while wearing a white and blue maid uniform.
Finally, there were four kids around her age, two boys, at least she thought one of them was a boy, and two girls. The first boy had blonde hair and blue-grey eyes while wielding a sword. The second boy, possibly a girl, had pale blonde hair styled in a short bob cut, pinkish-violet eyes, and pointed ears, strangely enough.
The first girl was the same age as her, and just as beautiful as well, with long jet-black hair, violet eyes, and possessing a figure even more mature than her own, while having lightning sparking around her body. And the second girl was shorter than the other kids, with snow white hair and golden eyes.
Naruko could only blink, before the group saw where she was, and immediately stood around her bed, while looking at her with worry and concern. All of them asking her several questions, ranging from "are you alright" to "why did you scream" and "when did you wake up".
Naruko blocked out most of the questions, as she continued sorting through the memories of her current life.
Unfortunately, she could only draw blanks right now, which meant that she would have to go to her mindscape, in order to find out her reincarnation's memories.
'Which means that I'll need to improvise here, in the meantime...' Naruko thought, while looking around at what she supposed was her family and friends.
"I…I'm sorry, but who are you all?" Said Naruko, looking at them in confusion, internally wincing at the worry that her question had caused.
Given what's happened, Naruko knew that the only thing she could do, is take on her current life's identity, Rias, she believes her name is, since that's what they called her, and live her life. Though, that also meant she had to feign having amnesia, which wouldn't be a complete lie, since she remembers nothing of her reincarnation's life. Plus, this way, she wouldn't get too many looks for the sudden change in personality.
"Rias? It's us, your family? You do remember us, right?" Venelana asked, pleadingly, only for Rias to shake her head.
"I'm sorry, but I don't remember any of you. You're my…family?" Asked Rias, with all of them looking disheartened at this, realizing she had amnesia, and couldn't remember anything.
"It's, it's fine Rias. It's not your fault that you can't remember." Sirzechs said sadly, while forgoing the suffix he usually gives her, given how serious the situation is, and to not make her feel uncomfortable.
All while being angry with himself, for not arriving faster, to save his sister
"Well, if you are my family…then I'm sure I'll be able to remember eventually, with your help. Right?" Said Rias, as she smiled at them reassuringly.
"That's right, and we'll all be there to help you remember, Rias." Zeoticus said, while smiling at his daughter, with Rias returning the smile to her…father.
"But I don't know if I'll be the same, as you all know me." Added Rias.
"That's fine sweetheart, no matter what, you'll always be my baby girl." Venelana said, while kissing her on the forehead.
"If Rias-sama is well enough, perhaps showing her around the manor, to help her get refamiliarize with it, might help her remember something." Grayfia suggested, the others nodding in agreement, before looking at Rias, to see if she'd be up for it.
"Yeah, that might be able to help." Said Rias, while getting off the bed, now being more accustomed to her younger body.
With that, Rias was guided out of the infirmary, as her family and friends, who she learned are her peerage, began showing her around the manor. Meeting her family's maids, along with telling her who they were, and certain events in her life.
After separating from her family, her Peerage members also reintroduced themselves to her, as well. Telling her about how they met, and when she recruited them into her Peerage. With Rias frowning, when they also told her about their backgrounds, and how she saved them.
And one thing that really annoyed Rias, was when her family brought up the subject of her "betrothal" to Riser Phenex, the third son of the Phenex Family. Something Rias definitely wasn't pleased by, not only because of Riser being a lecherous womanizing pervert, that only wanted her body. But also from the fact, that Naruko was a lesbian, with a zero interest in guys, when she was alive. Which now transferred to Rias, given how the Uzumaki was the dominant personality, now.
This lead to Rias asking her parents, if she could read the contract, herself, wanting to see if there were any loopholes, that she could use. She saw that it specifically stated that Riser was to be married to her, not the other way around. Given how the Phenex Family already had an heir, in the form of their eldest son, Ruval, which meant Riser would have to take the Gremory name.
However, Rias still didn't find her engagement to Riser very appealing. Both from what her Peerage told her about him, and the videos she was shown. All of which, painted a very clear picture of Riser's personality.
"Hey, I'm actually going to turn in early, if it's alright, to process everything, and relax. Would you mind telling the maids to bring dinner up to my room?" Rias asked, with the four nodding quickly.
"Yeah, that's fine Rias. We're just glad to have you back." Akeno said, while hugging the crimson-haired girl, which Rias returned, before hugging her other Peerage members, as well.
As she walked to her room, Rias couldn't help, but bring her right hand cover her face, and narrowed her eyes, before proceeding to clench and unclench it. After repeating the process, she soon concentrated on it for a moment, before her had was covered in a dark purple energy, before transforming it into the same destructive black and red that she saw Sirzechs use.
Her family's Power of Destruction, if she remembered correctly, an ability that was limited to only the Bael Family, until her mother married into the Gremory Family. Which combined with the Gremory Family's strong magical potential, could make for a deadly combination. Having already been confirmed to be more powerful than the Bael Family's Power of Destruction.
When her family had explained this to her, Rias couldn't help, but feel giddy about this. Knowing that an ability like this had a lot of potential, making her excited at the idea of mastering her Power of Destruction, and experimenting with its capabilities.
After staring at the Power of Destruction for a moment, eventually Rias reverted it back to regular Devil Magic, before dispelling the energy all together. While cupping her chin into her hand, in thought.
'Another thing to take not of in this life, is that I no longer have Chakra. With this Devil Magic feeling similar, yet different, to Kurama's Chakra. Though, given how I'm a Devil in this life, it's really not all that surprising. Even if Kurama, and the other Bijū, weren't actually demons.' Rias thought to herself, before chuckling for a moment, due to the irony of her reincarnation.
Up until she earned the respect of the villagers and the ninja, she was treated like a demon by the majority of Konoha, for most of her life. And now, here she was, reincarnated as a literal devil.
Once she reached her room, Rias turned on the light, only to be surprised, when she saw the vast collection of manga/anime memorabilia.
'Wow, this is…a lot of anime.' Rias thought, while looking around with wide eyes.
Figuring she had been a huge fan of this stuff, Rias grabbed one of the manga called "Dragon Ball Z" and decided to see what it was about.
*Later*
Rias had stars in her eyes, as she watched Goku battle the God of Destruction, Beerus, in his Super Saiyan God form.
'This is amazing!' Thought Rias, not even realizing how quickly she had been reading the manga, before she started on the anime, and it is one of the greatest things, she's ever seen in both her lives.
'I wonder which would win, Goku's Super Saiyan God Form, or my Six Paths Sage Mode and Senjutsu, from back when I was Naruko, since they can both be considered Divine States?' Rias couldn't help, but think to herself, as she saw Goku go toe-to-toe with a literal God of Destruction, in his Super Saiyan God Form.
Sure, Naruko had her Truth-Seeking Orbs, but that was an ability she didn't like to use, unless she had to. Given how they didn't just negate someone's energy and disintegrate their body, but they also erased the soul, as well. And while the only way to truly counter and block them, is with Senjutsu, she could see Goku finding a way around them. Given his plethora of powerful and versatile techniques, along with him having an ability to come up with great strategies in the midst of Battle, that is on par with her own.
'He might even surpass me, in a few areas, given how Goku's Saiyan Physiology compliments his ability to make battle plans on the fly, like that.' Rias thought, knowing that such thinking and planning was natural as for Goku as breathing, given how Saiyans were naturally born warriors.
Once the movie ended, Rias sat on her bed, while sighing in contentment. Thankful for the small break from all the craziness she's been through, in less than a day.
'As much as I'd like to keep going, I must locate Rias's memories, and sort them out.' Rias thought, since while her interactions with her family and peerage did help her to somewhat understand her new life, she was still missing her memories from it.
Closing her eyes, Rias concentrated, until she felt the familiar sensation.
*Mindscape*
Opening her eyes, Rias smiled at seeing she was in her mindscape, which was thankfully not a sewer. Instead, being an old-fashion Japanese palace.
"Okay, let's see, memories on my family, Peerage, and Riser." Rias said, wanting to see memories of the latter, to see if he was really as bad, as she's heard and seen.
Thankfully, it wasn't hard to find the memories, thanks to her past life as Naruko and her experience with her own mindscape, due to being a Jinchūriki.
And not a moment later, Rias scowled at seeing that Riser was exactly like she's heard and seen.
'I swear, if this fried chicken even tries touching me, I'm gonna rip his arm off, and beat him to death with it.' Rias swore, not caring if he's immortal and can't die, that just means she'll have to get creative.
Shoving the memories of Riser aside, Rias started sorting through the ones of her family, her Peerage, and the old Rias, wanting to learn everything she can about them, and herself.
Though before she could finish, Rias heard a knocking sound out in the real world, making her sigh, before vanishing from her mindscape.
*Real World*
Opening her eyes, Rias went over to the door, and opened it, seeing a maid carrying a covered tray.
"Your dinner, Rias-sama." Said the maid with a short bow, with Rias smiling, and opening the door further.
"Thank you." Rias said, as the maid walked into the room, and sat the tray on the table.
Sitting down, Rias began eating, while also making plans for what to do tomorrow.
'I'll have to finish sorting through my memories of my family and my Peerage, so I can interact with them better. I'll also have to locate my memories of Devil Society, and their abilities, along with researching them personally, as well. And hopefully, I'll be able to get some training in, also.' Rias thought, given from what she saw, she hadn't really trained once in her life, despite being considered a High-Class Devil.
Something, she'll be rectifying, the first chance she gets.
Once she finished eating, the maid had collected the dirty dishes, and left, while Rias let out a short yawn, realizing that she was actually pretty tired.
Deciding to get some sleep, and satisfied with the plans she's made, Rias went over to her closet to put some pajamas on. Only to be confused, when she saw that her closet was completely empty of any pajama's, aside from a few sleeping gowns.
'It's better than nothing, I suppose.' Rias thought, while stripping down to her lingerie, and throwing on the sleeping gown, before climbing into bed.
Though not long after, Rias's face scrunched up, as she tossed and turned, trying to get comfortable. Only to be unable to find a good position or go to sleep. She then remembered that the old Rias slept naked and decided to try that.
Getting up, Rias took off her sleeping gown and her lingerie, before getting back in bed, and sighed in contentment, at feeling much more relaxed.
Not a moment later, Rias drifted off to sleep, all while wondering what this new life had in store for her.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we're seeing Naruko being reincarnated into the DxD world as none other than Rias herself. With there being plenty of changes in store with Naruko as the Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess. And since this is Rias's pre-Issei Peerage, don't expect her to be wasting eight Pawns on the pervert either, with Naruko being more hands on in helping her Peerage grow stronger and recruiting more members. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
Storm out
Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be seeing some of the changes from the new Rias along with her making plans of how to improve herself and her Peerage. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
The next morning, when Rias woke up, she blinked once at the unfamiliar surroundings, before remembering she was in her room. Along with remembering what had happened the other day.
'My name is Rias Gremory, Heiress of the Gremory Family. A Family of Devils, and one of the 72 Pillars of the Underworld. My family is Zeoticus Gremory and Venelana Gremory née Bael, my parents. My brother is Sirzechs Lucifer, one of the four Maou, and his wife is Grayfia Lucifuge, the Queen of his Peerage. The members of my Peerage are my Queen and one of my best friends, Akeno Himejima, my Rook, Koneko Toujou, my Bishop, Gasper Vladi, and my Knight, Yuuto Kiba.' Rias thought, getting the basics of her life down, before going to the most recent memories of what happened to her.
She had been attacked in an assassination attempt by supporters of the Old Satan Faction, those who followed the Original Satan's families. As opposed to the new Satan Faction, which her family are members of, with Sirzechs being one of the leaders.
Nodding in satisfaction at remembering the basics of her new life, Rias closed her eyes to return to her mindscape, and resume sorting through her memories.
*Mindscape*
Once back in her mindscape, Rias began looking at all the memories of her Peerage, family, and of the old Rias. Wanting to learn everything that she couldn't when she was interrupted last night.
Though when she looked at the memories of the old Rias, she couldn't help, but facepalm and shake her head at what she saw.
"There's no way I can act like the old me." Rias said, seeing that unlike her, the old Rias was rather lazy when it came to training, only doing it unless she had to.
Along with the fact she had been a tomboy from her time as Naruko, never being afraid to get her hands dirty or jump into a fight. And while the old Rias also wasn't afraid of getting into fights either, again, it seems like she only does so, when she had to. And again, for the same reasons as well, that she was pretty lazy and spoiled.
'I really have my work cut out for me.' Thought Rias, knowing she'll have a lot to catch up on, to get stronger.
After she finished looking through the more personal memories, Rias moved on to everything she knows on Devils, and their society. All of which was pretty limited to the basics, such as the important Devil families, abilities, hierarchy, and some of the other Factions.
Once she had looked at all her memories, Rias nodded, before exiting her mindscape, knowing she still had plenty of information to look up.
*Real World*
Opening her eyes, Rias got out of bed and headed towards her bathroom, and got into the shower, planning to go to the library, when she finished.
'I'll have to get everything I can on Devils, and the society I'm now part of. Along with the abilities of all the important families as well, given how many there are.' Rias thought.
Finishing in the shower, Rias got out and dried off, before getting dressed. Once she was finished, the Gremory Heiress exited her room and made her way to the library, which she thankfully knew the location of, thanks to the tour she was given, yesterday.
Upon arriving in the library, the girl once again marveled at the sheer size of it, as Rias began searching for all the books related to Devils and their society, the families and their abilities, and the subjects she's most intrigued by, Devil Magic and the Power of Destruction.
Given when her family explained it to her, they also mentioned how imagination is a major factor in how one uses the Power of Destruction, and Devil Magic in general. And imagination was something Rias had in spades, so she's sure that she'll have a lot of fun with it and thinking of new ways to use it.
As for Devil Magic, Rias wanted to learn several different types, given she didn't want to limit herself to just using her Power of Destruction. Leading to her also getting what she could on both Devil Magic and Human Magic, to herself started on learning different types.
Deciding to start with learning Fire Magic and Lightning Magic, as a tribute to Satsuki, who specialized in both Fire and Lightning Ninjutsu. Along with Healing Magic, as a supplementary skill, as from what she saw, none of her Peerage members were healers, and neither was the old Rias.
'I'll have to do something about that, as well.' Rias thought, knowing it'd be important to have a healer in her Peerage, rather than just having all fighters.
After gathering all the materials she needed, Rias nodded in satisfaction, before returning to her room, where she changed into a white and maroon colored jumpsuit. The redhead wanted to get started on her training, as soon as possible.
After getting changed, Rias headed downstairs to the dining room, where she already saw her family and Peerage members eating breakfast.
"Good morning." Rias said, while smiling at them, with everyone's attention turning towards her, only to be surprised at what she was wearing.
"Uh, good morning Rias. Why are you wearing that?" Venelana asked, confused at her daughters choice of attire, which was something she usually wouldn't wear.
"I was planning to go out and start training after breakfast." Answered Rias, while sitting down at the table, with all of them now looking at her in shock at hearing that she planned to go train.
"B-but you never train Rias-tan! Not unless you have to!" Sirzechs said, shocked at Rias planning to go train, rather than stay her in room watching anime and read manga.
Plus, she never felt the need to train often, given how Devils naturally grew stronger, as they aged.
"Maybe. But that was before I lost my memory, and this is me now. I may not remember exactly what I was like before, I do know that training oneself is important. In fact, I was also hoping that you guys would join me." Rias said, while looking at her Peerage, who quickly shook off their shock, before smiling at their King, and nodded.
"We'd be happy to join, Rias." Said Yuuto, since all of them are actually being pleased by this sudden development, wanting to get stronger to protect each other, and now Rias is pushing herself to get stronger, as well.
Nodding at this, Rias soon finished her breakfast, along with her Peerage finishing up, as well. The five of them then headed to the backyard to get started.
Though when they got there, Rias's eyes widened in amazement at the sheer size of it.
'I can't even see the end of it, it could go on for miles.' Rias thought, amazed and pleased at this, since with the size of it, she'd be able to use it as her personal training ground, and not have to worry about destroying the entire place.
She'd just have to get far enough away from the manor when she starts developing more destructive techniques.
"What's the plan, Rias?" Koneko asked, while pulling on her gloves, with Rias turning to look at them all of them, as they waited for her orders.
"Okay, well, uh, how about we start off doing various exercises, and seeing what our limits are. Then we'll go from there." Rias said, not giving anything specific to what they'll be training in and deciding to stick with the basics.
Given she still had "amnesia", and doesn't remember her Peerage members abilities, or their Sacred Gears, in the case of Yuuto and Gasper. Along with the fact that the old Rias never trained that often and wouldn't have any ideas about more complex training exercises. So for now, it would be best to start with the basics, and learn what their limits are, then build up from there.
Thankfully, the four nodded in understanding, as they hadn't trained that much either, outside of Yuuto, who was trained by Sirzech's Knight, Okita Souji, to be a swordsmen. Though that was everything, so starting with the basics would be a good foundation for them to work from.
"Great then, let's get started! Twenty Laps around the entire yard should be a good start, let's go!" Said Rias, before they started running around the backyard.
*Timeskip-One Week*
'The training has come along better than I expected.' Rias thought, as she sat within the library, going over the past week of training herself and her Peerage have done.
She was pleased that their training was coming along rather nicely, despite having just started. Though she figured that had to do with the fact Devils were natural stronger, faster, and more durable than humans. Allowing them to grow stronger in shorter amounts of time if they really pushed themselves to train.
Rias and her Peerage have also managed to create a good schedule for what to train in, at what times, along with finding out the limits of her own body, as well. She had also taken notes on the strengths and weaknesses of her Peerage, to see what areas they needed to improve in.
'Since Akeno's my Queen, she is the strongest member of my peerage so far, along with having the most knowledge of Magic, which is further enhanced by the Bishop aspect of her Queen piece. Along with the enhanced strength and speed of a Rook and Knight. Though she also focuses mainly on Lightning Magic, something that could backfire, if she fights an enemy that's resistant or immune to lightning.
Yuuto's strength is his enhanced speed and his growing skill as a swordsman, with his Sacred Gear, Swords Birth, allowing him to create multiple demon swords to wield. Along with having some knowledge of Illusion Magic, as well. But he also lacks strength and isn't really taking advantage of his Sacred Gear's ability to create any type of demonic sword he wants, with any ability he can think of.
Gasper's strength is his knowledge of Human Magic and his ability to use it, along with his Dhamphir nature making him immune to sunlight, while also being able to absorb other people's powers by drinking their blood, turning into a flock of bats, and controlling them, and Darkness Manipulation. Though he can't really control the latter, with the same being for his Sacred Gear, something that'd be really useful, if he could. He's also rather shy and is a shut-in around those he's not familiar with.
And finally, there is Koneko. Her strengths are her immense strength and durability, but that's it. She doesn't know any magic, have any set fighting styles, and is more of a brawler. The worse though, has to be that she has Chakra and is capable of using Senjutsu, but doesn't, because of what happened with her sister.' Rias thought, putting a hand over her eyes and sighing, knowing she had a lot to work with, if her Peerage was going to reach its full potential.
Her own training was going just as well, with her having gotten a good handle on training her own Magic and Power of Destruction. With her currently working on ways to make it so that rather than just blasting an enemy, she can completely erase them, when she wants to, like in "Dragon Ball Super" with the Energy of Destruction's ability to erase a being from existence.
Right now, Rias was considering some hand-to-hand fighting styles for herself and her Peerage members to learn. Something to fall back on, if their Magic and/or Sacred Gears can't be used, so they wouldn't be left helpless. And to take advantage of their Supernatural Physical Capabilities, especially Koneko, with her being a Rook.
She's also thinking of taking lessons in fencing, along with getting a whip, and lessons in archery as well. A sword for close-range, a whip for mid-range, and a bow and arrow for long range.
'Though maybe, instead of a whip, I could get razor sharp wires instead, like the ones used in, Hellsing, Akame Ga Kill and One Piece.' Rias thought, figuring that it would be a better weapon for her to use, since a whip would probably fit Akeno more, than her.
There's also the fact that Rias still needed to help her Peerage with their own personal demons, knowing that such things are what's keeping them from being as strong as they could be. The problem was, she didn't know where to start, since she can't just walk up to them, and talk about their traumatic pasts.
Akeno with her mother's death, hating her father, and being kicked out of her clan, and nearly being killed by her own relatives, until Rias saved her.
Gasper being isolated and abused, due to his half-breed nature, his true form, and his uncontrollable Sacred Gear, and being killed by Vampire Hunters, before Rias found Gasper and reincarnated him.
Yuuto with his hatred of all Holy Swords, especially Excalibur, due to being forced into the Holy Sword Project, which lead to the death of his friends.
And Koneko refusing to use her Chakra or Senjutsu, due to her sister, Kuroka, going insane from using it, and killing her master. Leading to her being labelled a Stray Devil and Koneko nearly being executed, if not for Sirzechs giving her to Rias.
Though Rias had her suspicions about Kuroka going "insane" from using Senjutsu. Given she had Chakra and used Senjutsu in past life and never experienced any problems, outside the worry of turning to stone, if she absorbed too much. So, Rias wasn't sure if that story was exactly true, or if there was more to it.
Getting back on topic though, Rias couldn't help but curse the old Rias for not being more proactive in helping her Peerage members get over their trauma.
'I can't do anything about it now, but I'm sure I'll be able to think of something, later on.' Rias thought, knowing she had to help them, not just because it was her duty as their King, but also because they were her friends, as well.
"Rias." Someone said, pulling the girl from her thoughts.
Looking, Rias saw it was a bespectacled her age with a slim figure, black hair styled in a short bob cut and violet eyes. She recognized her as Sona Sitri, her other best friend, as well as her rival in this life, with Rias seeing that she was just as beautiful as herself, Akeno, and Koneko.
'Though she doesn't have the same bust size as me and Akeno. But I can see she more than makes up for it, with her developing ass.' Rias thought, while glancing at Sona's backside, as she sat down across from her, feeling no shame in knowing that it likely won't be the last time she looks either.
"Hey Sona. What're you doing here?" Rias asked, while smiling at her friend, glad to see her, but also curious as to why she's here.
"My parents and Onee-sama wanted to speak with your parents and Sirzechs-sama. I asked to accompany them, so I could see how you are doing." Sona said, having been worried about her friend, after the attack on her life, along with being shocked at her sudden change in personality, when she woke up.
But Sona was just glad that Rias was alright, even if she lost her memories, after the attack. Along with being pleased at Rias's decision to start training herself, and her Peerage as well, with it having also pushed Sona to start doing the same with her own growing Peerage. Not wanting her rival to get ahead of her in getting stronger.
"I'm fine, and I'm glad you decided to come here, Sona. Though right now, I really hate myself for not having helped my Peerage with their problems, before. Now, I don't even know how I'm supposed to help them." Said Rias, sighing as she leaned her head against her palm, with Sona gaining a solemn expression, being aware of the pain her Peerage experienced in their lives.
"I see. Rias, I won't lie, before you lost your memories, you were pretty lazy." Sona said, with Rias wincing at her blunt words, knowing they were true.
"But there was no doubt that you do care about your Peerage, with or without your memories. And if you really want to help them move on from their past pain, then just be there for them, like you always have, and when you feel the time is right, talk to them about their pasts, and be there for them. But not as their King, or the one who saved them, but just as yourself, as their friend, who wants to help them." Sona said, with Rias looking at her in surprise at her words, before smiling gratefully.
"Thank you, Sona." Rias said, glad to see that behind that strict personality, was someone who'd do anything to help her friends.
"So, what can you tell me about yourself. All that I was really told, is that we're friends, and that you're the Heiress to the Sitri Clan." Rias said, wanting to be reacquainted with Sona personally, rather than through her memories.
"Well, like yourself, my Onee-sama is one of the four Maou, Serafall Leviathan. Though she can also be quite…childish and clingy, like how Sirzechs-sama is with you. I specialize in Water Magic, which my family is known for, with Onee-sama being a user of Ice Magic, instead. I also enjoying playing chess as well and reading books on strategy." Sona said, with Rias nodding since she wanted to learn as much as she could.
"You like chess? Did we ever play together?" Rias asked, though already knew the answer.
"We have. Though I have won every match we played." Said Sona, with a small proud smirk, while Rias crossed her arms and pouted.
"What about yourself? Has anything changed since you woke up?" Sona asked, wondering what else has changed about her friend, besides her desire to start training herself and her Peerage.
"No, not much has changed, besides training more often, now. Though I have started going through my manga and anime collection, and it's so much fun! I can see why I was such a big fan of it, the battles, the stories, it's all so cool!" Rias said, with stars in her eyes, having taken to watching her anime in her free time, wanting to see everything she's missed out on, along with even getting some ideas to implement into her training, along with her Peerage members.
Hearing this made Sona sigh, knowing of Rias's obsession with Japan and its culture. Though she was glad for it, as it meant that even with her changes, Rias was still the same girl she knew.
However, Sona became worried when Rias looked at her with a rebellious glint in her, which Sona has never seen before, and was worried of what it'd entail.
"I had an idea. How about we sneak out and go into town for a little bit." Rias said, wanting to get away from the manor for a bit, and see more of the Underworld, if only going to a different part of the Gremory Territory.
"Uh, I'm not sure about that Rias. We aren't allowed to leave the Compound Grounds; we also don't have our guards with us, either." Said Sona, not wanting to go against their parents' instructions, given what happened to Rias, they didn't want to take a chance of their children going outside their family homes, unless they were accompanied by guards, or members of one of Sirzechs's or Serafall's Peerages.
"Come on Sona, we won't be gone long, or go far. Besides, it'd be good for you to learn how to relax and let loose, every once in a while." Rias said, knowing from her memories that Sona was very strict and serious.
"I do know how to relax!" Sona retorted in annoyance, always getting annoyed when someone tells her that she needs to learn to relax.
She does know how to relax, damn it!
"Prove it then." Said Rias with a challenging smirk, with Sona narrowing her eyes, knowing she couldn't back down now, if Rias was challenging her.
"Fine, let's go." Sona said, getting out of her seat.
"Yes! Come on, before anyone comes searching for us!" Said Rias, while grabbing Sona's hand, and quickly running out the library, and out of the manor, while being careful to avoid being seen by any of the servants.
*Later*
After managing to sneak out of the Compound's Grounds, Rias and Sona went to a nearby town, with Rias eagerly pulling Sona along to visit every shop and see what they had to sell. While purchasing a few things, that caught her eye, along with visiting a small café to get lunch.
Eventually, it ended with them going to a park, and sitting at a picnic table.
"Sona, look at what I got." Rias said, while pulling out a chess set that she had purchased.
"A chess set?" Asked Sona, raising a brow, as Rias set it up between them, the chess pieces being red and black, with Rias passing the black pieces to Sona.
"Mm-hm. You said we used to play together; well, this'll be a good chance to help remind me how to play. Who knows, I might be able to beat you now, since I've forgotten all my previous strategies." Rias said, smirking, while Sona thought about it, and was intrigued at the idea of seeing how good Rias could be, without her previous experience.
Though what Sona didn't know, was that when she was Naruko, Rias had learned to play Shoji from Shikamaru, and figured the rules would be similar enough, that she'd be able to learn how to play.
"Alright, let's begin." Sona said, once they had set up their pieces, with her making the first move with one of her pawns.
Rias mirrored her move, with one of her own pawns, with Sona then moving another one of her pawns. Though when it was Rias's turn again, Sona tilted her head in confusion, when rather than moving another pawn, Rias chose to move her King.
"Are you sure you want to do that, Rias? You'd just make it easier for me to put you in check." Sona said, raising a brow at the risky move of moving her King, this early.
"I'm sure. Since while it's true that I'll lose, if you capture the King, the King is also the leader, just like in a Peerage. And if the King doesn't move, how can you expect others to follow them." Replied Rias, while crossing her arms under her bust, with Sona looking at her in surprise at her words, before looking at her own pieces thoughtfully.
After a few moments, Sona made a decision and moved her own King, as well.
The game went on for several turns, with Rias eventually getting the hang of it. While Sona had to think more on her moves, given she wasn't expecting the more unpredictable and risky moves from Rias. Being used to her being more cautious, and protecting her King, not putting them out at the front.
Eventually though, after over a dozen moves from both girls, the game finally came to an end.
"Checkmate." Sona said, looking at the board with wide eyes, as she finally managed to capture Rias's King.
Rias, despite losing the game, still smiled proudly, as while she may have lost. It wasn't before she managed to capture over half of Sona's pieces, including her Queen. While Sona only managed to capture half of her pawns and one of her Bishops.
"Better be careful Sona, I might be able to beat you, next time." Rias teased, as Sona still looked at the board in amazement.
'She could have beaten me, this time.' Sona thought, seeing that if she hadn't gotten the chance to capture Rias's King, her Knight was in the perfect position to capture her own.
Sona hadn't even noticed, having been so focused on the position Rias's own King, that she overlooked her own nearly being taken.
'Rias almost outsmarted me.' Thought Sona, before blushing lightly, as another thought came to her.
Back when she had been in a betrothal contract, like how Rias currently was, she had managed to get out of it, by beating her betrothed in chess. Before then claiming that she wouldn't marry anyone, that's not smarter than her. And given Rias had nearly beaten her at chess, that would have shown that she is smarter than her, and Sona never did specify that the person that she'd marry had to be a guy.
That thought only made Sona's blush intensify.
"Well I suppose we should head back, before our families get too worried." Said Rias.
"Ri-right!" Sona stuttered, before they started putting the chess set away.
Once it was fully packed away, the girls got out of their seats, with Sona then being confused, when Rias held out the chess set to her.
"Isn't that yours?" Sona asked, with Rias smiling at her, and shaking her head.
"No, I wanted you to have it as a gift, after we played our first game with it. So, I know that the next time we play, we can remember the day we spent together." Said Rias, with Sona looking at her in surprise, before gaining a small smile and accepted it.
"I'd like that." Sona said, only to be surprised even more, when Rias pulled her into a hug.
"I'm also really glad that we're friends, Sona, and for the help you've given me, today." Said Rias, while pulling back, and smiling at the Sitri Heiress.
"I-I'm really glad we're friends too, Rias." Sona said, while smiling softly.
It took a few moments, before both girls realized how close they were standing to each other, and quickly stepped back, with matching blushes on their faces.
"Well uh, we should be…getting back now." Said Rias, with Sona nodding in agreement, before they began making their way back to the Gremory Manor.
It didn't take long until they arrived at the manor, only to be greeted by their worried families with Sona immediately being grabbed by her sister.
"So-tan! Oh, I was so worried about you! Are you alright, are you hurt, do you need Nee-chan to kiss any wounds better?!" Serafall asked, while holding her sister tightly, with Sona blushing in embarrassment at her sister's behavior.
'I wish I was Sona right now.' Rias thought, seeing Sona being squeezed between Serafall's surprisingly large breasts, compared to her child-like body.
"Onee-sama, I'm fine!" Said Sona, while wrestling out of her sister's grip.
"Well, it's good you both are alright. But would you mind explaining just why you left the grounds?" Asked Zeoticus, as they had all been worried about the two, and where they went.
"It was my idea. I wanted to go outside of the manor grounds, and go into town to explore, and I convinced Sona to go with me." Rias said, willing to take the blame for them leaving.
"Actually, it was my idea. I had hoped that by going outside, it'd help jog some of Rias's memories, by seeing familiar surroundings." Said Sona, not wanting Rias to take the blame for it all.
The parents looked between the two girls, wondering who was telling the truth or not, before seeing how close Rias and Sona were, even more so than before Rias's accident.
"Well, I suppose that we can let you both off with a warning, this time. But next time you decide to go on a little adventure again, take some guards with you. And let us know beforehand, as well." Said Lord Sitri, with his wife, along with Zeoticus, Venelana, Sirzechs, and Serafall, nodding in agreement, not wanting anything to happen to their daughters/sisters.
"We will." Rias and Sona said at the same time.
Nodding at their words, the two families returned to the manor, to resume their previous discussions, before noticing that Rias and Sona were missing. While the two girls walked behind them and exchanged smiles with each other.
'Today turned out better than I could have hoped.' Rias thought, as they walked back into the manor.
So, what did you think, good. Yep Rias has started training herself and her Peerage, after seeing how the old Rias didn't train that much, now wanting to make up for lost time. Along with going over their strengths and weaknesses, the latter of which being mostly connected to their past trauma's, which Rias is having difficulties thinking of ways to help them move past their pain. Thankfully help comes in the form of Sona Sitri, her best friend and rival, who gives Rias her own advice before they get reacquainted with each other, before Rias convinces Sona to go out to the town with her. Leading to the two girls bonding over a game of chess, with Rias almost beating Sona this time around, leading to Sona remembering her condition of whom she would marry. Finally we see the girls returning to the manor, where they're let off the hook for sneaking after their family's see how close they've gotten. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
Storm out
Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be seeing Rias taking a trip to the Human World and going on a search for new Peerage members, along with introducing a new character from a different anime. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
Two weeks have passed, since the day Rias and Sona spent together, becoming closer than we were, before Rias's accident.
Since Rias has resumed training her Peerage, along with making some adjustments to their training schedule. Now including them learning several fighting styles, which Rias had taken from her large collection of manga and anime, along with the few video games, that she also owned.
She had picked styles that would best compliment them, along with being able to surprise their opponents, if they switch the way they normally fight. With Rias having also found some fighting styles to use for herself, as well.
Unfortunately, she had been unable to find any styles that would suit Gasper. So for now, he'll stay a mid-to-long range fighter, at the moment.
Currently Rias was standing off to the side, observing her Peerage's training, as they went through the stances and kata's of the various styles, chosen for them.
"I'm impressed Rias, you're Peerage has come a long way, since you started training." Someone said from beside her, with Rias looking at the person.
The person was a handsome young man, a few years older than her, with black hair and violet eyes, being very tall and having a muscular build. While wearing a black and white academy-styled uniform, with a white and gray vest over his jacket.
This was her cousin Sairaorg Bael, Heir of the Bael Clan.
Sairaorg was the eldest son of the current Lord Bael, who was prideful, even by normal Devil standards, though he had been born without the Power of Destruction. Leading to his younger half-brother, Magdaran Bael, to be named as the new heir of the Bael Family. While Sairaorg and his mother, Misla Bael née Vapula, were exiled to the countryside of the Bael Territory.
It was there, that Sairaorg was bullied by other Low and Middle-Class Devils, until his mother advised him to grow stronger in different ways. This leading Sairaorg to train his body to its absolute limits, becoming strong and powerful in his own way. Eventually leading to him being able to defeat his brother and become the next heir of the Bael Clan.
But despite this, he was still an incredibly kind person, even to his brother, who had originally scorned him, and forming his Peerage from other Devils like him, those who were scorned by other Devils. Along with being calm and noble, Sairaorg respected his opponents, and always gave it his all in any fight he was in. But Sairaorg also enjoyed fighting strong opponents, with Rias even going as far as to say he's a battle maniac.
After looking through the memories of Sairaorg, Rias couldn't help but respect her cousin for his determination to grow stronger, without any special powers. And yet, still showing kindness and respect to others.
'Gai and Lee would love him.' Rias thought, knowing that the two green-wearing Ninja would get along famously with Sairaorg.
Then she thought of three people wearing skin-tight green spandex, while screaming about the "Flames of Youth", and quickly banished those thoughts, less she be mentally scarred.
Anyway, Rias had contacted her cousin, three days after the day she spent with Sona, asking for his help in training her Peerage, along with reconnecting with her cousin. With Sairaorg being more than happy to help her, being relieved to hear that his cousin had woken up from her attack and, despite having "amnesia", was willing to start training herself and her Peerage.
With Sairaorg giving them advice on training exercises to cover their weaknesses, along with giving them more fighting styles he's learned, that'd suit them. Allowing them to start improving even more, than when they first started out. Rias had also offered her own advice, such as starting to wear training weights to improve speed and strength, which Sairaorg considered a good idea, and thought of having his own Peerage start wearing weights, as well.
"They have, but we also have you to thank for your help, Sairaorg. And thank you again for your help, it really means a lot." Rias said, while smiling at her cousin, which Sairaorg returned.
"Of course, if you ever needed any more help or advice, I'll be happy to do what I can. Now how about we join your Peerage and see how much you've all improved." Sairaorg said, grinning eagerly, while Rias's smile now twitching nervously.
"Ri-right." Replied Rias, knowing that meant it'd be a spar, with her and her Peerage against Sairaorg, a spar that was going to hurt for them.
*Later*
Rias and her Peerage panted in exhaustion, as they stood around Sairaorg, who didn't look the least bit tired. While it was just a sparring match, and he thankfully held back, his hits were still rather painful. Even Koneko, with her enhanced durability, winced in pain from where Sairaorg's hits connected.
"Well, that was a pretty good match, and day of training. I'd say that you all will be able to continue on without me, from now on." Sairaorg said, knowing they'd be able to continue their training without his help, for the time being.
"Y-yeah, we're good. Thanks again, Sairaorg." Rias replied, with the others feeling relieved at not having to spar against him, again.
Nodding, Sairaorg waved at his cousin and her Peerage, before taking his leave.
"Come on, let's go inside, and get cleaned up." Rias said to her Peerage, who nodded in agreement, wanting to rest from the day of training.
Returning inside the manor, the five of them returned to their respective rooms, to get cleaned up, and rest.
Climbing into her shower, Rias started cleaning herself up, as her mind drifted to a different topic she's been thinking of, recently.
'I'm going to have to start recruiting new members for my Peerage.' Rias thought, knowing she'll eventually have to start finding more potential members to recruit, given how other Devils in her generation have already recruited more than four members, and given she had already been attacked by members of the Old Satan Faction, it'd be good to have more allies to fight future enemies, that they'd go against.
Plus, she didn't want to hold off on recruiting members, especially with that marriage proposal, she still has to take care of. So, it'd be better to start looking for more potential recruits, sooner, rather than later.
With that in mind, Rias finished up in the shower and got out, drying herself off. Once she did that, the redhead threw on a bathrobe, and went to find her parents and brother, soon finding them in the library.
"Tou-san, Kaa-san, Nii-sama." Rias said, getting their attention.
"Rias-tan! Did you need something?" Sirzechs asked, while smiling widely at his little sister, only to yelp when Venelana grabbed her son's ear, and pulled him back.
"Did you need something, Rias?" Asked Zeoticus, with Rias nodding in confirmation.
"Yes. I was hoping that you would allow me to travel to the Human World, and search for potential members for my Peerage." Rias requested, looking at them hopefully, as her parents and brother looked at her with wide eyes, unsure at the idea of letting her travel to the Human World, with the memory of her near assassination, still fresh in their minds.
Though while they were hesitant, they also didn't see a problem with letting Rias travel to the Human World. It also helped, that when she and Sona had snuck out, nothing had happened to either of them.
Looking at each other for a few moments, the three older Devils looked back at Rias, before nodding.
"Very well, you can travel to the Human World, to search for potential Peerage members." Zeoticus said, with Rias beaming happily, that they were letting her go.
"But, on the condition that you take two members of my Peerage with you, as well, to act as guards." Said Sirzechs, refusing to take any chances of Rias going off on her own, and not have any protection.
"Alright, that's fine." Rias replied, accepting the condition.
Given that in the Human World, she won't just have Old Satan Faction spies to worry about, but also other enemies that'd want to attack or kill her, just for being a Devil. And while she's gotten stronger, since waking up, Rias wasn't foolish enough to think she could handle all threats, that came her way.
With the agreement made, Rias thanked her parents and brother, before heading back to her room, to prepare for her trip to the Human World.
*Timeskip-One Day*
The next day, after she and her Peerage had woken up, Rias met with them all, in the living room.
"Alright, I wanted to tell you all, that for the time being, we'll taking some time off from training." Said Rias, surprising the four of them.
"Any particular reason, as to why, Rias?" Asked Yuuto.
"Yes, I'll be going to the Human World, in order to look for potential Peerage members to recruit. I'll be accompanied by two members of Nii-sama's own Peerage, as protection. You all are free to join me, as well, if you want to." Rias offered, wanting to see if any of them would want to join her on her trip.
Only to sweatdrop, when Gasper immediately rushed back up to his room, but nodded. Knowing he wasn't ready to go into the outside world, yet, much less going to the Human World.
"No, thank you, Rias, I actually had plans today." Akeno said, with Yuuto nodding in agreement.
"Same but thank you for the offer." Said Yuuto, since he and Akeno already had their own respective plans for the day, with the break they're being given, making things easier.
"I'll go." Koneko said, while going to stand beside Rias, with her usual stoic expression, since with her enhanced senses, she'd be able to help locate potential Peerage members much faster, than just wandering around to find them.
Plus, she wants to take the chance to get more sweets, from the human world.
Seeing this, Akeno and Yuuto knew that they didn't have anything to worry about, in regard to Rias's safety. Since with Koneko and two members of Sirzechs's Peerage, she'll be more than safe from any potential threats.
"That's fine. We'll see you when we get back." Rias said, knowing they might be gone for a couple days, possibly even a week or two, while searching for potential members.
Rias and Koneko then headed for the front door, where they saw the two members of Sirzechs's Peerage, that would be joining them.
The first was a girl, a few years older than they were. She had short pale blond hair, with a pink tint to it, while having an ahoge on top of her head, and a black ribbon over her head. While her skin was pale, and had pale, silver eyes, that shined with determination. All while having a black scarf around her neck, with the rest of her outfit consisting of a white, sleeveless kimono with black borders, that went down to her mid-thighs, while having a black and aquamarine Obi on her waist. She also wore an aquamarine trench coat, with the end of the sleeves being white, while she had black stockings and wooden sandals on her feet. Finally, she held her sheathed blade in one hand, at the side of her waist.
The second was an adult man with messy, dirty blonde hair, dark reddish-brown eyes, tanned skin, green tribal tattoos along his arms, white bandages wrapped around his hands and wrists, with metal bracers, and numerous scars on his arms, chest, back, and face. His attire consisted of black boots, black pants, a black and gold belt, with the buckle being a gold dragons head with ruby's for eyes, and a black jacket, with the sleeves rolled up, and no shirt underneath.
These two were of her brother's Knight, Okita Souji, and one of his Pawns, Beowulf.
Okita had been recruited by her brother, after she had accidently summoned him, while performing several rituals to avoid dying from her tuberculous. With her managing to be cured of it, after being reincarnated and being given Devil Medicine. Though she still had her pale pigmentation, as a result of her disease.
Along with having been Yuuto's Kenjutsu Instructor, she's also the reason for Rias's obsession and love of Japan.
While Beowulf was descended from the original Beowulf, having inherited his ancestor's power and Demonic Blades, Hrunting and Naegling. He was recruited after challenging Sirzechs to a fight, one which he lost, but not before managing to give Sirzechs a very small cut, on his right arm. After which, he had requested to join Sirzechs's Peerage, to grow stronger, and fight strong opponents.
"Ready to go, Rias-sama?" Okita asked, with Rias nodding, along with Koneko.
"We're ready, Okita?" Replied Rias.
"Then let's get going." Said Beowulf, as they placed a hand on both the girls' shoulders, before teleporting away.
*Japan*
When they reappeared, Rias knew they were in a small town, somewhere in Japan.
The reason she had chosen Japan to search for Peerage members, was due to the fact that Japan seemed to be a hotspot for supernatural activity. With towns such as Fuyuki and Karakura being prime examples of this. With Fuyuki's ties with the Holy Grail War, while Karakura had a very strong spiritual presence. Which made Karakura a prime location for Shinigami and Hollows, along with there being rumors of a few Quincies taking up residency, there.
And that's not even counting Kyoto, that's currently home to the Yōkai Faction.
'Hmm, perhaps I should consider going to Karakura and Fuyuki, to see if I can find potential recruits for my second Knight and Bishop Pieces. And if not those two, then at least a few Pawns.' Rias thought, excited at the chance to get new members for her Peerage.
Shaking her head of those thoughts, for now, Rias decided to focus on just searching the town she's currently in.
"Come on Koneko, let's see who we can find." Rias said, with Koneko nodding in agreement, as the two girls began exploring the town, while Okita and Beowulf followed from the shadows, since their appearance didn't exactly scream discreet.
The two Devils walked through the town, taking in the sights, along with keeping their senses open for any potential members, or anyone that had a unique energy signature.
Eventually, they stopped, when they found a unique signature, that was rather strong, but also feeling like it was being suppressed. Interested in the who signature belonged to, Rias and Koneko began walking to where they felt it coming from.
Though when they found it, the two frowned, when they saw a group of kids standing around a girl, who seemed to be around Rias's age. What made them frown, was the fact that they were pointing and laughing at her.
"Look at her, what kind loser has pink hair!"
"And that stupid cross she's wearing too!"
"No wonder she doesn't have any friends!"
Hearing there remarks made Rias scowl, as she remembered how Naruko was treated, when she was younger. And listening to these kids, had brought up plenty of bad memories.
"Hey, leave her alone!" Rias shouted, while walking up the group, with Koneko following behind her, getting their attention, before they glared at her.
"Beat it, loser." Said one of the kids, only for Rias to glare fiercely at them.
"How about you all beat it, before I make you!" Rias retorted, with the kids laughing at her, thinking she wasn't a threat.
Growling, Rias was about to make them leave, before her anger skyrocketed, when one of kids said something.
"Yeah right! Like you could make us. And what's with the red hair, it makes you look like a tomato!" Taunted one of the kids, with Rias immediately freezing in place at hearing that, as her hair covered her eyes.
"Did you just call me…a tomato." Rias muttered through grit teeth, as she began shaking.
"Yeah, I did! What're you gonna do about it, tomato!" The same kid said, while mockingly laughed at her, with the others joining in.
Though their laughter was quickly silenced, when Rias suddenly punched the kid in the face, sending him flying into a wooden fence.
"NOBODY CALLS ME A TOMATO!" Rias shouted demonically, with her eyes glowing red, while her hair floated into nine tail-like tendrils, as the kids now cowered in fear from her.
All while Koneko, Okita and Beowulf looked on in shock. Having never seen Rias lose her temper like that, before.
"She's a freak, just like the other one!"
"Let's get out of here!"
The kids started running away from Rias, though one didn't seem to get the message, and picked up a rock, which he threw at Rias. Making the Gremory Heiress hissing slightly, when it grazed her cheek, before quickly signaling Okita and Beowulf that she was fine, when she sensed them about to reveal themselves.
Besides, she felt pleased, when Koneko ran up and kicked the brat, right between the legs, sending them crumbling to the ground, in pain.
"Don't throw stuff at Rias." Koneko said, before grabbing them by their collar, and sent them sliding down the street.
With the kids taken care of, Rias and Koneko turned to the one they had been bullying.
"Hey are you alright?" Rias asked, only to look at the girl in surprise, when she got a better look at her.
She was a beautiful fair-skinned girl, with knee-length pink hair, green eyes, and a cute, girl-next-door face. While wearing a school uniform, and having a silver Rosary Cross, with a red stone in the center.
'Wow, if this was back in the Elemental Nations, I'd think this was Sakura's sister, or at least a relative of hers.' Rias thought, seeing the resemblance she had to her past life's teammate, at least in hair and eye color.
"I'm-I'm fine. Are you alright, you're bleeding." The girl said, while looking at Rias's bleeding cheek in worry, the redhead touching her cheek, and saw that it was bleeding.
"Don't worry, it's just a small cut." Replied Rias, knowing it'll heal soon, anyway.
"Here let me clean it." The girl said, pulling out a cloth and moving closer to Rias, with both her and Koneko grimacing slightly at the cross being closer to them.
Though when the girl was about to place the cloth on Rias's cheek, she froze and inhaled deeply, with her eyes glazing over as she caught the scent of Rias's blood, becoming entranced by it. The girl then looked at Rias's neck opened her mouth, revealing she had fangs.
"I-I'm sorry for this, but your blood…it smells so good." Said the girl, in a daze, as she leaned down and bit Rias's neck, before moaning at the taste of her blood.
"You're a Vampire?!" Rias said surprised, while Koneko tensed at this knowledge, before grabbing the girl and pulling her off of Rias.
The now revealed Vampire stumbled slightly, while licking the remnants of Rias's blood off her lips. Only to pale, when Okita and Beowulf appeared with their weapons drawn, ready to end her life.
"Stop!" Said Rias, getting in front of her bodyguards and Koneko, who also was about to attack the Vampire for biting her King.
"Rias-sama, she tried drinking your blood." Okita said, not lowering her blade.
"And I'm fine. I was just surprised, she's not a threat to me or Koneko." Said Rias, before looking back at the scared Vampire.
"I-I'm so sorry! It's just when I smelled your blood and how amazing it was, I couldn't control myself, and just wanted to get a little taste of it! I didn't mean to, I swear!" Said the girl, now terrified that she might die, though calmed down, when Rias smiled at her reassuringly.
"It's alright, no harm was done. I was just surprised to meet a Vampire here. By the way I'm Rias Gremory, this is my friend and Rook, Koneko. While these two are my brother's Knight, Okita Souji, and his Pawn, Beowulf. It's nice to meet you." Rias said, while holding at her hand, with the girl being even more worried at learning she drank the blood of the Gremory Heiress, and little sister of the current Lucifer.
"I-I'm M-Moka. And I'm really sorry again, for drinking your blood!" Said Moka, while hesitantly shaking her hand, afraid that either Okita or Beowulf would attack her.
"It's nice to meet you, Moka. And like I said, it's fine, there was no real harm. Besides, it's already healed, see." Rias said, showing the bite wound was already healed, along with the scratch on her cheek.
Seeing this, Moka relaxed slightly, even more so when Okita and Beowulf returned to the shadows.
"So, do you wanna hang out with us, Moka?" Asked Rias, with Moka looking at her in surprise.
"You…want me to hang out with you?" Moka asked, surprised at the offer, while Rias nodded.
"Yeah. Since you apparently live here, or at least nearby, you could show us the sights, and everything around here." Said Rias, while smiling at the Vampire, with Moka pondering the offer, since she's never been asked by anyone to hang out, before slowly returning the smile
"Ye-yeah, I'd like that." Moka replied.
"Great, then let's go!" Said Rias, as the three girls began exploring the town.
Moka showed them around the town, taking them to all the places she liked, with Koneko being especially excited, when they went to a sweets shop, and getting as many as she could. With Rias being excited, as well, when they also went to a manga and anime store, getting plenty of new manga and anime, along with some she's missing, as well.
While Moka was glad that they were having a fun time and having met people that don't make fun of her, or shun her. Though eventually, the day was beginning to come to an end, with the sun starting to set.
"Rias, how long will you be staying her?" Moka asked, while looking at the two Devils.
"We'll be staying here, for about a week. I originally came to the Human World looking to find potential members for my Peerage. In fact, would you want to become a member of my Peerage, Moka?" Asked Rias, knowing Moka would be a great addition to her Peerage, and would even be able to help Gasper control his own Vampiric Powers.
"I, uh, I'm not sure about that. Would I be able to have some time to think about it." Moka said, unsure about the idea of becoming a Devil, but at the same time, didn't want to lose the only friends she's made, only to relax, when Rias smiled and nodded.
"Take as long as you like. And whether you accept, or not, we'll still be friends." Replied Rias, with Koneko nodding in agreement.
"You're cool." Koneko stated, as she ate her sweets.
"Thank you. But I am tempted to accept the offer, if it means I can leave the Human World." Moka said, while frowning at the end, with Rias tilting her head, curiously.
"Why do you want to leave the Human World?" Rias asked, as while she was being made fun earlier, she didn't think that'd be enough to make Moka want to leave.
"Because of my appearance, and how I act, my schoolmates make fun of me, all the time. Thinking I really like Vampires and dress up like one, since I can't hide my fangs, and because of my Rosario." Replied Moka, with the two Devils attention turning to the Rosario, while grimacing slightly.
"Why do you wear that, anyway?" Rias asked, wondering if it was just decorative, or served another purpose.
Moka opened her shirt slightly, giving them a better look at the Rosario..
"It was given to me by my Kaa-san. It's to help me control and suppress my powers, since I come from a powerful family of Vampires. Without it, I'd be a different person." Moka said, knowing if the Rosario is removed her Inner self, or her "sister", would come out.
'That must be why her power feels suppressed.' Thought Rias, looking at the Rosario in intrigue, sure that her brother's friend and fellow Satan, Ajuka Beelzebub, would like the chance to study it, and see how it was made.
Though she frowned, as she could emphasize with Moka's situation, given her past-life as Naruko, and her less than stellar time in Konoha.
"Moka, are you free tomorrow?" Rias asked, getting an idea of how to help Moka.
"Yes. My school's currently on a holiday, and I don't have any plans." Replied Moka, with Rias smiling, as she planned to show the vampire that not everyone in the Human World, were like her schoolmates.
Though their attention soon turned to Moka's stomach, as they heard it growl.
"S-sorry, we were having so much fun, that I forgot to have dinner." Moka said with a blush, while Rias and Koneko soon blushed as well, when their stomachs grumbled, as well.
"Yeah, us too." Rias muttered, before looking at Moka with a smile and lowered the collar of her shirt, a bit.
"Here." Rias said, surprising Moka and Koneko.
"A-are you sure?" Moka asked, shocked that Rias is offering to let her drink her blood.
To which the Gremory Heiress confirmed with a smile and a nod, with Moka biting Rias's neck. Letting out a moan in delight and pleasure at the taste of Rias's blood. While Rias let out a moan of her own from the feeling of Moka biting her neck and drinking her blood. Somewhat surprised that it didn't hurt, while realizing that she didn't notice it earlier, due to her initial shock at Moka being a vampire.
After a few moments, Moka disengaged herself for Rias's neck, as they both panted from the sensations they just felt. With them both blushing slightly, when Moka licked the left over blood off her lips, in bliss from the taste. Before the two girls smiled at each other, after regaining themselves.
With that, Koneko and Rias shared their farewells with Moka, before going their separate ways for the day.
*Timeskip-One Day*
The next day, Rias met up with Moka again, this time with Rias showing Moka around town. Taking her to several places around the town, where they met people who were interested in the Supernatural, along with those who didn't make fun of Moka, but were instead amazed at her quirks. It amazed Moka, that she was actually meeting good humans for a change, that didn't make fun of her, or bully her.
"There are plenty of different kinds of people, Moka. You just need to know where to look, to find ones you connect with." Rias said, while smiling at Moka, as she interacted with her new human friends, with Moka smiling at the Devil.
Seeing that Moka was busy, Rias went to go meet with Koneko, since the petite Devil had gone off her own, while she showed Moka around. Eventually, she found her, with Rias rolling her eyes at finding Koneko in a sweet shop, while seeing that she had already gotten several more bags, in addition to what she already bought, yesterday.
Waiting for her Rook to finish, the two Devils then began walking through town, with no particular destination in mind. With both girls soon finding their way to the park, going to a nice secluded area, with Koneko happily sitting down, and began eating her sweets.
'I suppose now would be as good a time, as ever.' Rias thought, knowing now would be a good chance to talk to Koneko about her sister, along with her refusal to use Chakra and Senjutsu.
"Koneko, I was hoping we could actually talk about your training, and some changes that I hope we could make to it." Rias said, while thinking of the best way to approach this.
"What kind of changes?" Asked Koneko, while eating her sweets.
"Mostly about your…adversity to using Chakra and Senjutsu." Rias replied slowly, with Koneko's head snapping towards her with wide eyes before they immediately narrowed.
"I've already said that I'll never use Chakra or Senjutsu!" Koneko hissed feeling angry, and betrayed, that Rias was bringing up the topic in the first place, when she had to tell her, again, the reason she won't use her inborn Yōkai abilities.
"I know, and I know why you don't. But all I want, Koneko, is to help you reach your full potential. And that's not all, I've also had my…suspicions about what happened with your sister." Said Rias, knowing she had to be careful with how she said this, not wanting to reveal her reincarnation.
"What suspicions?!" Said Koneko, now even angrier that Rias was bringing up Kuroka.
"About how she allegedly went insane from using Senjutsu and killed her King. Given that I've only heard about what happened, and don't remember it personally, I've started looking at it from a more neutral standpoint. If Kuroka really did go insane, why did she just kill her King? Why not just start killing anyone, who got in her way, until she was killed, herself? And why would she run away, wouldn't an insane person, or someone drunk on their own power, gladly stay and admit they killed someone, willingly. Does her actions sound like someone drunk on their own power, or that something else was at play? Plus, look at all the other Yōkai that can use Senjutsu, and they didn't go insane." Rias explained, with Koneko scowling stubbornly.
"She still ran away, after killing her King, and abandoned me to be executed!" Koneko retorted, with Rias nodding, knowing that was true.
"Yes, she did. And let's say Kuroka really did go mad and abandoned you. Then by you refusing to use Chakra and Senjutsu, you're letting your sister control your actions, and keep you from being as great as you could be. There will also be a time, where you will most likely be forced to use those abilities, and will need to know how to use them, otherwise you'll only end up hurting yourself and others." Rias said, with Koneko's stubborn mask cracking slightly at that, thinking over her King's words, and even drifting to how her sister told her that Senjutsu was vital to a Yōkai's growth.
Though Koneko quickly regained her composure and stormed off.
"Leave me alone." Koneko said, not wanting to be around her King, and hear anything else she had to say.
"Koneko, wait, I just want to-" Rias said, while running to Koneko and putting a hand on her shoulder, only for Koneko to push it off, and glared at Rias.
"I said leave me alone!" Hissed Koneko, before storming off.
Watching her Rook leave, Rias couldn't help but look down, and sigh sadly.
'Way to go, Rias.' Rias thought, before deciding to give Koneko some time to herself, and hopefully consider her words.
Rias left the park, and went back to where Moka was, finding that she had finished getting to know her new human friends.
"Rias, is something wrong?" Moka asked, initially smiling at seeing her friend, before noticing the Devil's expression, and looked at her in worry.
Rias sighed, and began telling Moka what happened, before burying her face into her hands.
"Now Koneko is going to hate me." Said Rias, worried that Koneko would want to be removed from her Peerage, or worse, become a Stray Devil, because of her screw up.
Though she looked up, when Moka put a hand on her shoulder and smiled at her.
"Rias, the best thing you can do, is go to Koneko, and try to make amends. As for hating you, I doubt that would be possible." Said Moka, having seen how much Koneko cared about Rias, and while she would be mad, she wouldn't hate her.
"I…I don't know…she was really angry." Said Rias, not wanting to end up making things worse between them.
"Rias, just yesterday, I was getting ready to give up on ever meeting a kind human, or one that didn't make fun of me. Now I've not only met several but have even made friends with them. Because of you, Rias, you helped show me that not all humans are bad, and that there are kind ones. And I know you didn't mean to upset Koneko, and just want to help her. Now let's go find her, and show her that we both care about her, and want to help." Moka said, with Rias looking at her in surprise, before nodding in determination.
"Right, let's go." Said Rias, as the Devil and Vampire left to find the Nekoshou, with the search being easier, thanks to Rias using her King Piece to locate Koneko.
They soon found her sitting on a bench, in an empty street, with Koneko spotting them, before looking away stubborn with her arms crossed.
"Koneko, I just want to say-MOVE!" Rias said, only to suddenly shout, before tackling Koneko off of the bench, just as it suddenly was destroyed by a magic blast, with Moka gasping in shock, before going to her friends' side, and see who attacked them.
Looking, Rias tensed when saw four Devils flying in the air, with their wings out. But what made her tense, was their twisted and monstrous forms, showing that these were Stray Devils.
"You're Stray Devils! You just made a mistake attacking the Heiress of the Gremory Clan!" Rias said, standing up and putting on a tough act, until Okita and Beowulf could show up and deal with them.
"We know who you are, you little bitch! And we couldn't give a damn about your family, as long as we kill that worthless cat!" One of the Stray Devils sneered, as they glared at the confused Koneko, who wondered why they'd attack her, before she looked at them more closely.
"Wait…all of you, you were in the same Peerage as Kuroka." Said Koneko, recognizing them from her time, when Kuroka was still in her King's Peerage.
"That's right, and now we'll get our revenge for the traitorous bitch, for killing our King!" Another one of the Strays said.
"That makes no sense, why would you want revenge on Kuroka by killing her sister, who she abandoned?" Rias said, wondering if their minds had become twisted just like their bodies, along with wondering where the hell Okita and Beowulf were.
"Like it'll matter to brats, that'll be dead in a few minutes. And I'm sure you're wondering where your guards are at, right now? Well we took care of them with a little spell, sealing them away in a pocket dimension. Though given who they are, it won't hold them for long. But long enough for us to kill you!" Shouted one of the Strays, before they charged towards the girls.
'Damn it!' Rias curded mentally as she, Koneko, and Moka jumped back from the charging Strays, knowing they were on their own, until Okita and Beowulf could show up.
Releasing her own wings, Rias flew into the air, with two of the Strays following after her. Facing them, Rias created a red Magic Circle and launched a blast of fire at them, only for one of the Strays to create a Magic Circle of their own, releasing a jet of water extinguishing the fire, and blocking Rias's sight.
Before crying out, when one of the Strays appeared from behind her, and slammed their fist into her back, sending the redhead flying back to the ground.
Koneko and Moka weren't fairing any better, with Koneko realizing she was going against a fellow Rook, as the Stray wasn't being affected by any of her attacks, and how they hit even harder than her. While Moka was doing a little better, thanks to her Rosario weakening the Stray, but still wasn't doing much damage, since her own power wasn't at its peak.
It ended with both girls being thrown against each other, before smashed into a metal post. With Rias crashing into the ground, beside them, not a moment later, with all three of them groaning in pain.
Getting back up, Rias called on her Power of Destruction, before simply having it shoot off of her towards the Strays, launching them back, before crashing into the ground and into walls. Seeing their chance, the girls reengaged the Strays, with Koneko and Moka switching opponents, while Rias kept firing off blasts of her Power of Destruction.
"Why are you doing this?! Why would you want revenge against Kuroka by attacking me?! She wouldn't care if I died, or not!" Koneko growled, punching the Stray in the face, before gasping as she was kneed in the stomach.
"Stupid runt! The whole reason that cat killed our King, was because of you!" Retorted the Stray, as they tossed Koneko aside, where the Nekoshou crashed into a wall.
"Wh-what, what're you talking about?" Said Koneko, as she got up, as the Stray laughed wickedly.
"You really don't know? Then here's the truth, Kuroka didn't go insane, like everyone else in the Underworld believes, she was fully aware of herself, when she killed our King. All so she could save you, when he planned to experiment on you, to learn how to create Super Devils, and when that cat bitch found out, she killed him, and then ran away!" Revealed the Stray, with Koneko's eyes widening at hearing this.
"Wh-what?" Koneko said, not believing what she just heard.
"That's right, that's the real reason Kuroka killed our King, to save a worthless brat, like you! The bitch even had the nerve to beg to that fool Sirzechs to spare your life, that's why he gave you to his sister! And we should know, since we were there too, hoping to see that bitch get what was coming to her! After that, we attacked Sirzechs in retaliation for deny our king his justice, only for most of us to be wiped out! While those of us that remained, fled the Underworld!" The Stray continued, with Koneko being unable to move, as she couldn't believe she's hearing.
'Kuroka, Nee-chan, she killed her King…to save me. She left me behind, so I wouldn't be hunted like her…and she begged Sirzechs to save me, and he gave me to Rias. She did all that…to save me, and I hated her.' Koneko thought, realizing that this entire time her sisters been protecting her, while she's hated her for believing she abandoned her.
Koneko cried, as the Stray slammed their fist into her face, before grabbing her by the back of her head, and smashing her head into the ground.
"And when we find that traitor, we'll be sure to show her your mutilated body, before killing you as well! Then we will move on to Sirzechs, and show him the corpse of his sister, before killing him, as well! To ensure that we finally get justice for our King, and those of use that, that bastard had killed!" The Stray said sadistically, as they continued slamming Koneko's head into the ground.
'Nee-chan…' Koneko thought, unable to even react to stop the assault.
"Koneko, snap out of it! You have to keep fighting!" Moka said, while looking at her in worry, when she saw that Koneko wasn't fighting back.
"She's right! If you don't fight back, then you'll never get the chance to find Kuroka, yourself, and get the answers from her! Don't you want to see your sister again?!" Rias said, before crying out when the two Strays she was fighting hit her with blasts of Demonic Energy, sending her falling to the ground.
With Moka also being knocked aside, and crashing into Rias, as she fell to the ground.
"AHAHAHAHA! Oh, she'll get to meet her sister again, after we're done killing you little shits, and go after her next!" Said the Stray that was holding Koneko down.
Though his laughing was cut short, and replaced by a cry of pain, when Koneko grabbed his hand and crushed his wrist. Removing his hand, the Nekoshou looked at him with angry golden eyes that seemed to glow, while her ears and tails came out, as Koneko felt the familiar rush, that she hasn't felt in years.
"If you threaten my King, her brother, my friend, or my Nee-chan, I'll kill you trash!" Koneko said, before with surprising amount of strength, she threw the Stray Devil into the two that Rias had been fighting, before grabbing the fourth, when they tried sneaking up on her, and headbutting them.
"Wow, where did that come from?" Moka said, surprised at Koneko's sudden increase in power.
"She's using her Chakra again. But it's not enough, she doesn't know how to use it, and we still need to stall until Beowulf and Okita can arrive." Said Rias, knowing that while Koneko's use of Chakra will help, they needed something else.
Rias's attention then turned to Moka's Rosario and knew what she needed to do.
"Moka, your Rosario." Said Rias, with Moka looking at it, and understood what Rias meant.
"I can't remove it, only someone that means me no harm, can." Moka said, with Rias nodding, before grabbing the Rosario biting back the burning pain from making direct contact with the cross before she pulled it off.
Not a moment later, Moka was surrounded by a scarlet light, as she was surrounded by a swarm of bats, that seemed to merge with her body. With her hair pink hair turning a silver-white color, along with her breasts and butt getting considerably bigger, as well. Moka's eyes then opened up, revealing they were now crimson red, with slit pupils.
'Wow.' Rias thought in amazement, as she sensed Moka's power increased dramatically, along with becoming even more beautiful.
"Hmph, so I suppose that the one who woke me up was you." Moka said, with a more mature voice and stern expression as she glanced at Rias, snaping the redhead out of her surprise.
"Ye-yeah, we could really use your help." Rias said, with Moka glancing at the Stray Devils before smirking.
"Very well, I'd be happy to show these creatures their place." Said Moka, before vanishing in a burst of speed, surprising Rias.
Moka reappeared and delivered a kick to one of the Stray Devils heads, sending them flying back, making everyone's attention turn to her.
"What the hell?! Where did yo-GAH!" The Stray screamed, when Moka kicked them in the head as well, slamming them into the ground, grinding her foot into their head.
"Learn your place trash!" Moka sneered, before grunting, when she was knocked back from blast, by one of the other Stray Devils.
Seeing things were now more in their favor, Rias went to help her friends, with the fight being more even now, with Inner Moka being awoken and Koneko now using Chakra. Though they still weren't faring well against the older and more experienced Stray Devils.
Thankfully, help soon came, as Okita appeared between two of the Strays, before sheathing her sword, as the Stray Devils were sliced in half. While Beowulf jumped down reducing the third Stray into a bloody paste with Naegling, while throwing Hrunting at the final one, impaling their head.
With the Stray Devils now dead, Rias, Moka and Koneko fell over, unconscious, both from their injuries and exerting themselves.
*Later*
Groaning, Rias opened her eyes, only to be surprised when she saw Sirzechs standing over her. Along with Koneko, Okita, and Beowulf.
"Rias, are you alright?!" Sirzechs asked, while looking his sister over, in worry.
"I-I'm fine Nii-sama. But what're you doing here?" Rias asked, while seeing that they were still where they were, when the Strays attacked.
"Okita and Beowulf contacted me, after the Strays were dealt with, and informed me of what happened, so I came here as soon as a I could. And given who your new friend is, he also showed up, as well." Sirzechs said, as Rias caught sight of another man.
He was an adult man with silver-white hair, blood red eyes, fair skin, and wearing noblemen's clothing, along with a long cape. Rias also saw Moka, once again wearing her Rosario, standing beside the man, who then looked over at her.
"Rias Gremory, I am Issa Shuzen. You and your Rook have my thanks, for your hand in helping protect my daughter." Issa said, tilting his head down slightly in thanks, while Rias's eyes widened at hearing his name, and that he is Moka's father.
"Moka, your father is the Head of the Shuzen Family?" Rias said in surprise, while Moka nodded.
"Yes, though my full name is Moka Akashiya, rather than Moka Shuzen. Also, I didn't get the chance to say it earlier, given what happened, but I decided to accept your offer, and join your Peerage. Tou-san has already given his blessing to let me join." Moka said, while smiling at her father, who nodded, having allowed his daughter to join Rias's Peerage, given it'd also allow the Shuzen Family to become allies with the Gremory Family, and the Devils as a whole.
Plus there was another reason as to why he's letting Moka join Rias's peerage. As unknown to Moka, there is another condition that needs to be met, for someone to remove her Rosario. It has to be done by someone that truly loves her, her "destined one", essentially.
"Re-really?! That's great!" Said Rias, excited and happy that Moka will be joining her Peerage.
"Welcome to the family." Koneko said with a small smile, also glad that Moka will be joining them.
Taking out her Evil Pieces, Rias thought of which one would best suit Moka before settling on her second Rook. Given after seeing her Inner self fight, Rias knew Moka would be the perfect Rook.
"In the name of Rias Gremory, I call to Moka Akashiya, live a new life as my Rook!" Said Rias, as the Rook Piece floated towards Moka, before sinking into her chest, with Moka gasping, as she felt herself transform into a Devil.
Once the change was complete, Moka smiled, as now, she'll get to spend more time with her new King, and fellow Rook. Though she was also sad that now she'll be going to the Gremory Compound, and won't get to see her new human friends again, either.
"You'll still be able to see your friends here, Moka, we'll come back to visit, whenever you want." Said Rias, while smiling at her new Rook, with Moka returning the smile, happy that she won't to say goodbye, for good, to her human friends.
With that the group began preparing Moka's departure, with the Vampire-turned-Devil saying goodbye to her father, and her human friends, along with gathering her belongings, to help her get settled into the Gremory Compound. With Sirzechs also mentioning that once she's been settled, they'll take her to Ajuka to see about getting her Rosario changed to something different, since its current shape of a cross wouldn't be good for her. With Moka currently wearing a special collar, that looked more like a neck brace, to hold her Rosario, so she could still suppress her powers, which she found to be rather itchy and annoying.
They'll also be starting to have Koneko begin her Chakra Training as well, with the Nekoshou now wanting to begin learning to use it again.
"Sorry your Peerage Hunt ended earlier than planned, Rias-tan. But given what happened, I'd feel better, if you remained in the Underworld for a while." Sirzechs said, since this the second time his sisters been attacked, and would prefer to not have a third time happen.
"It's fine, besides, what I got more out of it is more than worth ending the trip early." Rias said, while smiling at both her Rooks, which they returned.
The group then vanished into a Teleportation Circle, returning to the Underworld.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we get a look at more of Rias training her Peerage with Sairaorg's help as well, along with getting her parents and brother to let her go to the Human World to search for potential Peerage members. On the condition she take two members of Sirzech's Peerage as guards with Rias agreeing. We then go to the next day with Koneko accompanying Rias along with her guards, Okita Souji and Beowulf (modeled after their Fate-series appearances as Saber and Berserker respectively) where they travel to Japan, a prime hotspot of Supernatural activity, with some mentions of other locations as well. Then we see Rias still has quite the temper from her past life, especially when you mention…the forbidden word, as she and Koneko scare off some bullies. We then get the introduction of Moka Akashiya herself, with her befriending Rias and Koneko, after the drinking the formers blood, with Rias also offering her the chance to join her Peerage. Next we see Rias showing Moka that not all humans are bad before going off to find Koneko and bringing up the subject of her using Chakra and Senjutsu, along with her own suspicions of Kuroka allegedly going insane, leading to Koneko storming off. Thankfully, after some encouraging words from Moka, Rias goes after Koneko only for all three to be attacked by the former Peerage mates of Kuroka wanting revenge against her, with Koneko also learning the truth of her sister. Leading to her using Chakra once again and Rias removing Moka's Rosario bringing Inner Moka, turning things to their advantage, long enough for Okita and Beowulf to arrive and finish them. Finally we see Moka has accepted Rias's offer to join her Peerage with her father's blessing and been made her second Rook, with all the Devils returning to the Underworld to help get Moka settled. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
Storm out
Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be having a timeskip straight to when Rias and her Peerage first enter Kuoh, but with a lot of changes. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
'This will do nicely.' Rias thought, smiling, as she looked around the Old School Building of Kuoh Academy, which had been changed to now be the clubhouse of the newly established Occult Research Club, serving as a cover for both her, and her Peerage members.
All of them were also starting their first year at Kuoh Academy, with the academy having recently been reformatted as a co-ed school, rather than an all-girls one. With the Old School Building being used by the ORC.
Rias, Akeno, and Moka were all fifteen, and starting their First Year of High School, Yuuto was fourteen, and in his Final Year of Middle School, while Koneko and Gasper were both thirteen, and just a year behind Yuuto.
With her, was the rest of her Peerage members, though she hadn't had much luck in recruiting anyone, since recruiting Moka years ago. Not that Rias minded, since her Peerage has improved a lot, since Moka joined them, each of them having grown even stronger.
Koneko had also gone through great changes, as well. She was now much taller, about the standard size for her age, while being bustier and more curvaceous as well, now rivaling Rias and Akeno. With her hair now going down to her shoulders and lower-back.
This being due to Koneko now using Chakra and Senjutsu again, helping her grow more, both in her strength and physical appearance.
Gasper was also present, something that would have surprised anyone, that knew the young Dhampir, along with his fear of the outside world and people. Though that had been before meeting Moka, with both the older Vampire and Rias helping Gasper with his fears.
*Flashback*
Akeno, Yuuto, and Gasper all headed for the library, having learned that Rias and Koneko were back from their trip to the Human World, earlier than they thought they'd be back. With their King having called them to the library, to meet the new Peerage member, that she managed to recruit.
Entering the library, the three saw Rias and Koneko, along with a pink-haired girl, who they guessed was the new Peerage member, Rias told them about.
"You're all here, great. Akeno, Gasper, Yuuto, I'd like you all to meet Moka Akashiya, my second Rook. Moka, these are Akeno Himejima, my Queen, Yuuto Kiba, my Knight, and Gasper Vladi, my Bishop." Rias introduced, with Moka smiling at her fellow Peerage members.
"H-hello, it's nice to meet you all." Moka said, with a short bow, while Akeno and Yuuto returned the smile, with one of their own, while Gasper looked at her in surprise and slight apprehension.
"It's nice to meet you Moka, we're glad to have you joining us." Replied Yuuto, with his own short bow.
"Ufufu, you made her a Rook Rias, then I'm sure she can be quite wild, beneath that shyness. Maybe she can show us just how wild she is, later." Akeno said, smiling slyly at Moka, who blushed lightly, feeling there was a double-meaning behind Akeno's words.
"Y-you're a Vampire." Gasper said, making everyone turn to him, with Yuuto and Akeno being surprised to learn Rias managed to recruit a Vampire into the Peerage, while Moka smiled at Gasper, having been told about him by Rias.
"That's right, it's nice to meet you, Gasper. Rias and Koneko have told me a lot about you." Moka said, while walking up to stand in front of Gasper, who unconsciously took a step back.
"Th-they did?" Gasper asked, with Moka nodding, as she touched her silver bat medallion, with a ruby embedded in the center, having just gotten it as a replacement for her Rosario.
"Yeah, and I understand how difficult it can be to control your powers. I used to have the same problem but was eventually able to control my powers. And I'd like to help you learn to control your own, as well." Said Moka, with Gasper looking at her in surprise at the offer to help him control his powers, something no other Vampire has ever offered him, even his own family.
All of them to scared at his true form and his Sacred Gear, along with the general prejudice against half-breeds. The only friend he had was his fellow Dhamphir, Valerie, who also helped him escape his family, which lead to him meeting Rias.
Now, he's meeting another Vampire, with Gasper obviously being tense and afraid, given his past experiences with his kind. But rather than looking down on him, hating him, or being afraid, Moka is offering to help him control his power.
"You…want to help me?" Gasper asked, not sure what else to say.
"I do Gasper. If you'll let me." Replied Moka, smiling and offering him a hand.
"We both want to help you, Gasper." Rias said, standing beside Moka, and smiling at her Bishop.
Gasper looked at Moka's offered hand, before hesitantly taking it, while smiling shyly at the Vampire, which Moka returned. With Rias smiling happily, glad to see Gasper taking the first step to improving himself.
*End Flashback*
Since then, Moka and Gasper had spent time together, with the pink-haired Vampire helping the Dhamphir learn to control his Vampiric powers. With Gasper now having much better control over his Darkness Manipulation, now being able manipulate and control his own shadow, along with shaping it to suit his means.
He's also gained more control over his Forbidden Balor View, though not complete control, and he still had some problems using it. Though now, there wasn't any worry of him freezing everyone, whether they were enemies or allies, should something scare or startle him.
It also wasn't just his power and Sacred Gear, Gasper's improved on, the Dhamphir now being more confident, and less afraid of everything. This being thanks to Rias and Moka, slowly helping Gasper get over his fear of the outside world. First, by taking him out on small trips to nearby towns, in the Gremory Territory, getting Gasper used to being around people, while making sure not to overwhelm him.
They worked their way up, until finally they took Gasper to the Human World, to the same town Rias met Moka, to introduce him to Moka's human friends. This allowing Gasper to become more trusting and open to humans and Devils, no longer being afraid of them.
Though Gasper was still terrified of Inner Moka, whenever she came out to "help" with his training.
It made Rias proud of the progress Koneko and Gasper have made in overcoming their past trauma's, allowing them to grow strong and start using all of their powers.
And it wasn't just them who have improved either, with Akeno and Yuuto also improving. Even more, so after Rias talked to them both, and helped them move on from their own past traumas, as well. Though, that's not to say it was easy, with both of them being stubborn, but Rias was able to get through to them.
*Flashback*
Rias sighed as she sat across from Yuuto, who had a scowl on his face and his arms crossed.
The reason being, the Gremory Heiress had decided to talk to both Yuuto and Akeno about their pasts, and start helping them move on from them. Having started with Yuuto, figuring it'd be easier to start with him first, as she's still thinking of ways to approach Akeno.
Though now, she's wishing she talked to Akeno first, as Yuuto was being stubborn and getting angry at the topic of both Holy Swords and The Holy Sword Project. Even admitting that if he saw a chance to destroy Excalibur, he'd take it, no matter what.
That made Rias very worried, not wanting to see Yuuto be consumed by his hatred for Holy Swords and end up becoming a Stray Devil. The redhead refusing to let any of her Peerage members suffer such a fate.
"Alright, just let me ask one last question." Rias said, looking at her Knight, with Yuuto nodding once, still angry over what they were discussing.
"If someone were to kill me with a gun, whether it's a regular one or one loaded with Light Bullets. Would you hate the gun itself, for being the reason for my death, or the person who pulled the trigger?" Rias asked, deciding to go with the classic Batman Scenario, with Yuuto frowning at the question.
"I would gain some distaste for the weapon that killed you, but I would ultimately hate the person responsible." Replied Yuuto, knowing if such a thing happened to Rias, or any of his friends/comrades, he would forever despise the person who killed them.
"Then tell me, how is Excalibur any different in this situation? It didn't decide to be used in a such a way, for children to be tortured and killed, just to find those who could wield it. It was created to be used for good, to protect people. But instead, it was used to satisfy someone's own twisted purposes. If you think about it, Excalibur was just as much a victim of The Holy Sword Project, as well. It was never intended to be used in such a way, but it was, by those who sought to use it, for their own purposes." Rias said, with Yuuto frowning and looking away, part of him still clinging to his hatred for Excalibur, and what happened to his friends.
"I'm not asking you to just forget what happened, I just don't want to see you become a Stray, because your hatred became to much for you to control. I only want to help you get better, and not be corrupted and turned into something unrecognizable." Said Rias, putting a hand on her Knight's shoulder, with Yuuto sighing, before nodding.
"Fine, I'll go see someone to talk about what happened. But don't think I'll ever like that sword." Yuuto said, given Rias had wanted him to also go to therapy to talk about what happened, while planning to have Akeno do the same, when she talks to her.
And while Yuuto will go to therapy, he doubted that anything will make him like Holy Swords, at most he'll be able to tolerate them.
"That's fine. I just don't want you being consumed by revenge, and go running off, should we ever encounter Holy Swords, those who wield them, or any of the Excalibur Fragments. Or the chance we meet someone who's descended from King Arthur, or one of the Knights of the Round Table." Rias said, nodding in acceptance, glad that he'll at least get help, and didn't expect him to suddenly like Holy Swords, or anything like that.
Just as long as he didn't go out of his way to destroy them or kill anyone connected to them. Whether they be wielders or descendants of past wielders, given Rias knows there are plenty of descendants of legendary heroes, Beowulf being one such example.
For now, she's just glad she was able to help Yuuto.
*End Flashback*
Yuuto had kept his word, and started going to see a therapist, a trusted Devil one, so he didn't have to make a cover story of what happened to him. Along with having improved in his training, Yuuto had also become more relaxed, and didn't get angry at just the mention of Holy Swords, anymore.
After helping her Knight, Rias had gone to talk with Akeno, which had turned out a lot worse, than talking to Yuuto.
*Flashback*
"HE'S NOT MY FATHER! DON'T EVER SAY THAT AGAIN!" Akeno screamed, as she threw anything she could grab at Rias, who was currently ducking behind her bed, thankful she had put away anything valuable and breakable, before talking to Akeno.
It started out like when Rias talked to Yuuto and Koneko, Akeno being stubborn and refusing to talk about her father, or what happened to her mother. That is until Rias made a mistake, and said that Baraqiel was her father, that he did care about her, along with how her mother's death wasn't his fault.
That's when Akeno got really angry and started shouting at Rias and throwing stuff at her, with the Gremory Heiress merely keeping her head down, and letting Akeno vent her anger. Knowing that was part of the problem, Akeno keeping all her emotions bottled up, and preferring to act like Baraqiel didn't exist.
After a few moments, Rias saw that the projectiles had stopped coming, along with Akeno shouting at her. Peeking out, Rias frowned sadly when she saw that Akeno was now on her knees, crying.
Moving over to her friend and Queen, Rias wrapped her arms around Akeno, allowing the girl to cry into her shoulder.
"I'm sorry Akeno, but I just want to help you, and don't want to see you hating your father, when he doesn't deserve your hatred. I'm sure your mother dying hurt him, just as much as it hurt you, like it's still hurting you. And you can say you hate him, but I know you don't, not really." Rias said softly, refusing to let go, when Akeno tried pushing her away.
"Yes I do! I hate him, he was supposed to protect her, but he didn't! Now she's dead, and it's his fault!" Akeno cried, while shaking her head.
"No you don't." Said Rias, while rubbing her friend's back.
"Yes I do! I have to hate him! I have to hate someone! Because if I don't…then all I'd have left is to hate myself." Akeno said, with tears streaming down her face.
It was why she hated her Fallen Angel side, it was the reason her mother was dead, because her family hated Fallen Angels. It was why she had been exiled from the Himejima Clan, why she would have died, if not for Rias showing up and saving her from her relatives, that hunted her down to kill her.
But it was easier for her to hate her father and blame him for what's happened, because if she didn't, then Akeno would only have herself left to hate.
"You shouldn't hate yourself, Akeno." Rias said.
"Why not? I'm just a hideous monster. Even my wings are hideous." Said Akeno, as her wings came out, one Devil wing and one Fallen Angel wing, forever showing her hybrid nature.
"Don't ever say that again!" Rias shouted, glaring at Akeno, with the ravenette looking at her in surprise at hearing Rias shout at her, this time.
"You aren't a monster, and you certainly aren't hideous! You are beautiful Akeno, and so are your wings, they show you are unique, that there's no one else like you. So don't ever think your wings or your heritage make you a monster, they make you who you are. And who you are, is my best friend and someone I care about." Rias said, hugging Akeno tightly, while the hybrid's eyes widened in surprise at Rias's words.
"It's still the reason my mother is dead." Muttered Akeno, knowing there's no way to deny that.
"No, your mother died, because her family couldn't accept that she was happy with someone, just because he was a Fallen Angel. Your parents loved each other, and they love you Akeno, and I'm sure your father still loves you, just like I know you still care about him." Rias said, while patting her friend's head, with Akeno staying silent as she laid her head on Rias's shoulder, not deny that she did care about her father.
"And that doesn't mean you should hate the Himejima Clan either, they aren't worth it. They cared more about their outdated traditions than their own family. And that's their lost, for losing someone as special as you Akeno." Said Rias.
"Then what am I supposed to do, if I can't hate anyone?" Akeno asked quietly.
"You have to overcome the pain and sadness. It's not easy, but I know you can, Akeno. And if you ever get the chance, talk to your father, don't lose one of the last blood relatives, you have left." Replied Rias, with Akeno pulling back and looking at her in confusion.
"One of the last?" Asked Akeno, confused since the Himejima Clan already hated her, and was sure she lost them already, leaving only her father.
"Yes, you still have your cousin, Suzaku, who cared about you then, and I'm sure cares about you now." Rias said, with Akeno looking at her, surprised at the mention of her cousin, Suzaku Himejima, the only family member who cared about her, the two having played together, when they were young.
"I don't know, what I would even say to him." Said Akeno, not knowing what she should even say to her father, given the last time they saw each other.
"You'll know when you see him. Or don't say anything, show him you still care and want to be a family again." Replied Rias, with Akeno lowering her head, before hugging the redhead.
"Can we just stay like this, a while longer." Akeno said softly, wanting to just feel comfort, after all her bottled up emotions and memories came rushing back.
"As long as you want, Akeno." Replied Rias, while returning the hug and smiling.
*End Flashback*
Like with Yuuto, Akeno had agreed to attend therapy, to help with her problems, along with improving in her training. Having begun using her Fallen Angel powers and Holy Lightning, rather than just her regular Lightning Magic.
It made Rias glad that she was able to help her all her Peerage members, making her feel like she really deserved to be their King and their friend.
Rias then shook her head of her remembrance and addressed her Peerage.
"Alright, it looks like we've set up everything we need, in our new clubhouse. So, we should be getting to the Academy before classes start." Rias said, while crossing her arms under her bust, with the others nodding, with Yuuto and Gasper exiting the clubhouse to head for the academy.
Though Moka, Akeno and Koneko didn't leave, and instead walked up to Rias, with the pink-haired Vampire smiling sweetly, before wrapping her arms around Rias's neck and pressing her lips against hers. Rias happily kissing the gorgeous Vampire, letting out a small moan, when Moka bit her lip and licked her blood.
"You still taste as sweet as the first time, Rias." Said Moka, licking her lips, stepping aside as Akeno took her place, and eagerly slammed her lips against Rias's.
The Hybrid Queen pressing her body against Rias's, and practically grinding against her, happily moaning into the kiss, when Rias put her hands behind and under skirt, grabbing her ass.
"Ufufu, naughty Buchou. Maybe later, we can see how the shower works, together~" Akeno purred, smiling seductively, with Rias gaining a clouded look in her eyes, only for an annoyed Koneko push her out of the way.
"Quit hogging Buchou!" Koneko said, before jumping and wrapping her arms and legs around Rias's body, while pressing her lips against her beautiful King's, with Rias gladly returning her other Rook's kiss.
"Aaah, don't worry Ko-chan, I'd never forget my horny kitty." Said Rias, petting Koneko's head, with the reincarnated Nekoshou purring happily, before letting out a moan, when Rias kissed her neck.
"As much as I'd love to continue, we do need to get to class." Rias said, the girls nodding reluctantly, before exiting the clubhouse, while making sure to put an extra sway in their hips.
'I hate seeing them leave, but by Maou, I love watching them walk away.' Thought Rias, while watching their lovely asses moving.
Over the years, up to them enrolling in Kuoh Academy, Rias had gotten into relationships with her female Peerage members and Sona, who also joined Kuoh in the same year as her, Akeno, and Moka, with her own growing Peerage joining, as well. She and Sona having begun their relationship, after Rias finally managed to beat her at chess.
Now both girls were tied with the same amount of wins and tied games, with Rias hoping to gain the lead, soon.
'Now if only I could gain a lead with all of them.' Rias thought, while sighing in annoyance.
Unfortunately, while Rias enjoyed being with her girlfriends, they have yet to become sexually intimate with each other, despite sleeping in the same bed together, naked. This was due to the fact, as much as Rias hated it, she was still engaged to Riser.
With Rias also having the misfortune of meeting him in person, and couldn't believe he was even worse, than what she's heard and seen from her memories.
*Flashback*
Rias clenched her fists around her utensils tightly, resisting the growing urge to blast, slap, punch, or kick her so-called "fiancé" right in the balls.
A few days after returning to the Underworld with Moka as her new Rook, her parents told her they invited the Phenex Family over for dinner, in order for her to get "reacquainted" with Riser.
'More like so the flaming chicken can fuck me with his eyes.' Rias thought sourly, as the moment the Phenex Family arrived, she could just feel Riser undressing her, with the redhead shivering in disgust, the longer it went on.
The only saving grace were that Lord and Lady Phenex also brought their daughter Ravel with them, a rather cute girl. And who Rias wished she was engaged to, rather than her pig of a brother.
"So, my dear Rias, are you excited for our wedding?" Riser said smirking, shamelessly looking her up and down, with Rias's fists tightening further, as she began bending her utensils.
"Yes, so excited, that I could just walk into a Church and die from how happy I am." Said Rias sarcastically.
"Rias!" Venelana said, giving an apologetic look to Lord and Lady Phenex, both of whom thankfully waved off Rias's comment.
Both knowing what their son was like and tried doing what they could to curb his worse impulses, but those attempts clearly failed with his behavior.
"What? I'm just being honest. Now if I was engaged to Ravel-chan here, then I'd be much happier." Rias said, while winking at Ravel, with the Phenex girl looking at her in disbelief and surprise, with a light blush on her face.
"Wh-what?! Y-you can't be engaged to me, w-we're both girls!" Said Ravel, trying to make herself look as small as possible.
"Oooh, I didn't hear a refusal there? Would you actually prefer to marry me, Ravel-chan?" Rias asked, smiling slyly at the younger girl, with Ravel's blush intensifying.
"Th-that's n-no-not wh-what I-I m-meant! S-st-stop m-making -s-stuff u-up!" Ravel stuttered, with Rias's smile only growing.
"That still wasn't a refusal~" Rias sung, with Ravel holding her face, to hide how red it became.
Though Rias's momentary good mood was ruined when Riser scoffed.
"So, I see that's true, you actually believe you like girls, just because you lost your memory. Well don't worry my dear Rias, once we are married, I'm sure I can get you to like men again." Said Riser, smirking lecherously, with Lord and Lady Phenex lowering their heads in shame at their sons behavior to his fiancée, in her family's own home, as well.
Rias scowled, before slamming her hands down on the table, and stood up.
"Well this was an enlightening evening! I learned you weren't just a filthy pig, but also a bigot, as well! And I don't "believe" anything about who I like! I know exactly who I like!" Sneered Rias, seeing how he pretty much implied gay conversion from his comment.
Leaving the table, Rias gave her parents a glare, as well.
"Are you both happy that you still want me to marry someone, like that?! When he's now shown he's bigger scum, than I originally thought!" Rias said, not giving them a chance to respond, before storming off, planning to take a long, hot shower, to wash away Riser's eyes on her.
While her parents winced at her words, though Venelana did give Ravel a thoughtful side glance.
*End Flashback*
Sighing in annoyance, Rias banished those thoughts, before they ruined her current mood.
Turning, Rias looked out the window and her own reflection.
'A lot's really changed, since that day.' Rias thought, knowing a lot has changed since she reawakened her memories of her past life, as Naruko Uzumaki.
She's since regained all her memories of being the old Rias and having successfully merged her two personalities together and found a balance.
Having all of Naruko's and the old Rias's pros, while not having any of the cons from the latter.
'Along with being much stronger, than if I hadn't awakened them. And not just me, my Peerage as well.' Rias thought, her knowledge of Chakra and Senjutsu, from when she was Naruko, having been a major help in Koneko's training.
Thankfully, she had managed to pass it off, as them experimenting with Koneko's abilities, after they got the basis of Chakra and Senjutsu in this world down. Along with whatever the Gremory Family was able to find on the subjects.
Rias had also managed to recreate the Rasengan using Magic, having also taught it to Akeno, Koneko, Moka, Gasper, and Yuuto. With Koneko using the traditional version, with her Chakra, with the others, like Rias, used Magic to make it.
She had also managed to master her Lightning Magic, Fire Magic, and Power of Destruction, with the redhead currently trying to incorporate them into the Rasengan. Rias had also completed her training in Healing Magic, and begun working on Ice Magic, Wind Magic, and Water Magic, along with Barrier Magic and Runes. The Gremory Heiress wishing to take the Gremory Family's affinity for Magic, to its peak.
Along with having recreated some of the Jutsu from her past life, along with various techniques she's seen in anime, manga, and video games.
But while a lot of good came from her past life's memories, there was some bad, as well. With Rias having noticed that her memories as Naruko were starting to fade, having trouble recalling the names or faces of people she used to know.
'And with the rate they're going, they'll all be gone, by the time I'm seventeen.' Rias thought, sadly.
Thankfully, she didn't start relapsing back into her old self. With it making Rias wonder, if the reason she awakened those memories, was so she could become a better Devil and King.
Looking out the window, Rias saw her reflection suddenly change into that of Naruko's own, the blonde Jinchūriki smiling at the redheaded Devil.
"Thank you, for everything." Rias said, feeling sad and even a little scared, as it felt like she was saying goodbye to an old friend, one who's been with her, her entire life.
"It's not goodbye, I'll always be here, if you need me, Rias. But now, you're reaching the point, that you don't need me, anymore. It's time for you to grow on your own, now. But don't forget, I'm always here." Naruko said, smiling and winking at the girl.
Rias smiled solemnly, as her reflection faded back to her own, wondering if it was just her mind playing tricks on her, a figment of her imagination, to help put her at ease.
'Even it was, she's still right. It's time I stood on my own feet and move on as my own person. And not have Naruko be there to hold my hand.' Rias thought, knowing soon, she'll be growing as her own person, and wouldn't have her past-life to help her, anymore.
Taking a breath, Rias pushed off her desk, and went to go attend her classes. Though as she exited the clubhouse, she felt another memory echo through her mind, or really a message from someone Naruko loved unconditionally, and who loved her without question.
"Never say goodbye. If you don't say goodbye, then you aren't really gone, you just aren't here right now."
"Thanks…Kaa-chan." Rias said, smiling softly as she left the clubhouse.
That's definitely one memory, she won't ever forget.
So, what did you think, good. Yep Rias has reformed the ORC for her Peerage to use, along with seeing Gasper is out and about. This being due to both Rias and Moka help him control his Vampire abilities and his Sacred Gear, while also building up the Dhampir's confidence. We also get flashback's seeing Rias helping Yuuto and Akeno with their own problems and going to therapy for help, along with another flashback showing Rias meeting her "fiancé". Finally we see Rias thinking over how much she's changed since awakening her memories of Naruko, along with learning her memories were now fading away, but with some helpful words from her mind (or perhaps Naruko herself), Rias accepts this and knows it'll soon be time to stand on her own as a King and a Devil. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
Storm out
Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be seeing Rias's time at Kuoh Academy, along with her hunting for new Peerage members, and getting a look into her training again. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
Three months have passed since Rias and her Peerage enrolled into Kuoh Academy. With the Gremory Heiress currently in her class, observing her classmates, seeing if any of them would be good potential Peerage members. With it having been decided, that she and her Peerage would split into different classes and schedules, so they'd have an easier time scouting out more students. Allowing them to see if any of them really stuck out, and who would make good Peerage members.
Unfortunately, Rias doesn't see any students in her class, that really caught her attention.
'Hopefully, the others will have better luck in their classes.' Rias thought, before turning her attention back to the teacher, trying to stay focused on the lesson and not fall asleep, after she finished observing the other students.
Eventually, class came to an end with the students clearing out for the lunch break, with Rias doing the same and heading for the Student Council Room to spend time with Sona. Knowing her own Peerage would also be out for lunch, while her Queen Tsubaki would be spending time with Kiba. The two having started a relationship, sometime after she convinced her Knight to start attending therapy.
Which pleased Rias, as it showed that Kiba was beginning to open up more to others, besides the rest of her Peerage and her family.
Arriving at the Student Council Room, Rias smiled at her girlfriend as she saw Sona sitting in front of a chessboard.
"Sona-chan, you look as beautiful as ever." Said Rias, sitting down across from Sona, with the Sitri Heiress gaining a small smile, before resuming her stoic expression.
"So, I trust that you payed attention in all of your classes, nor did you skip any of them, right?" Sona asked, with Rias trying to not look Sona in the eyes, since while she attended all of her classes, she couldn't really say anything about the former.
"I might have had to use some subtle illusion magic, so I wouldn't get called out by the teachers, or my classmates." Rias muttered, while scratching the back of her head sheepishly.
This made Sona sigh in exasperation, knowing that ever since she lost her memories. Rias always struggled with schoolwork and book smarts, unless the subjects are something that interests her. Such as when she's studying Magic, for example.
It's not to say that Rias doesn't enjoy reading, her collection of Manga and Light Novels can attest to that. She just prefers reading for fun, with books that she likes, or finds interesting.
"Well anyway, I won the last game. So you get to make the first move, this time around." Sona said, with Rias nodding and moving one of her pawns.
"You know you should learn to smile more Sona-chan, along with relaxing. If you want, I can think of a few ways to help you relax~." Rias said, while smiling slyly, making Sona freeze slightly as she made her move, before glaring lightly at Rias, which was ruined by the blush on her face.
"That is highly inappropriate, Rias. We're at school at the moment, and I am Head of the Student Council." Scolded Sona, making Rias sigh in mock sadness before making her move, along with smirking and leaning forward.
"Okay then. What about making our game a little more…interesting?" Said Rias, with the bespectacled girl eyeing her suspiciously.
"Interesting how?" Sona asked, having learned that ever since they started dating, Rias could be a shameless flirt and tease.
"Oh, nothing bad, just…for every piece we lose, we take off a piece of clothing." Rias said innocently, with Sona's face turning bright red at what the redhead just said.
"Wh-what?! Y-yo-you c-can't be serious?! That is…that would be breaking dozens of school rules!" Sona exclaimed in a scandalizing tone, with Rias smiling sweetly as she leaned forward.
"I didn't hear a no. Could it be behind that prim and proper attitude, you really want to break a few rules with me?" Said Rias, while winking at Sona, who refused to look her in the eye, and focused entirely on the board.
"Ju-just m-make y-yo-your m-move!" Sona stuttered, with Rias continuing to smile, as she moved another one of her pieces.
The game continued for several minutes, with Sona eventually able to calm down, with the two making some small talk. While Rias still continued to flirt with her girlfriend, though more modestly now.
"And checkmate. That makes it 71 wins for me and 42 for you." Said Rias with a smirk on her face, making Sona sigh in exasperation at her defeat.
Even after all these years, Sona still couldn't figure out Rias's unpredictable strategies, and when she does manage to figure them out, the redhead would just change up her strategy again. Though Sona also can't deny it's also a good learning experience, that helps her to really think and plan in order to win.
"So, do I get to choose my own prize, or did you already have one in mind?" Rias asked, while smiling and winking at Sona, who could only sigh and pinch the bridge of her nose.
"Rias, we're at school and any prize you'd want would be breaking over a dozen rules." Said Sona, being able to suppress her blush this time around, while Rias rolled her eyes, before scooting her chair closer to Sona's.
Then before the Sitri Heiress could react, Rias placed one hand behind her head and pulled her close, pressing her lips against Sona's. While this wasn't the first time this has happened, Sona was still surprised by Rias's boldness and opened her mouth to protest, only to moan into the kiss, when Rias's tongue entered her mouth.
Giving into the kiss, Sona began kissing back, making Rias smile into the kiss. The redhead then placed a hand on Sona's side, before trailing it down her body to her thigh. Making Sona gasp in pleasure at the contact, while allowing Rias to further control the kiss.
'You're always so easy, Sona-chan.' Rias thought, knowing that despite being a stickler for the rules, Sona was the easiest to seduce out of all her girlfriends.
Granted, this was mostly due to Sona being rather repressed, when it came to such things, having preferred sticking to the rules. With it also helping, that Rias knew some of her weak spots with how long they've dated.
Though before the girls could go any further, Rias pulled back, much to her and Sona's chagrin. As the latter was now too wound up to maintain her usual posture.
"Wh-why'd you stop?" Sona asked with a flushed face, now actually wanting Rias to continue.
"Sorry Sona-chan, as much as I'd love to take you right now and hear you scream my name, I still have an image to uphold." Said Rias, with an annoyed expression, really wanting nothing more than to fuck Sona in the Student Council Room, but still had to maintain the mask that she wears in public, due to her status as the Gremory Clan Heiress.
This being thanks to her stupid engagement to Riser since she had to maintain her purity. Even though she's tempted every day to throw caution out the window, and essentially cheat on her fiancé, with her girlfriends.
Unfortunately, this wasn't about her distaste for Riser and the engagement. But how those actions would affect her family's status and image. Knowing how bad it'd be if the entire Underworld believed the Gremory Heiress was willing to sleep with anyone, just to get out of an engagement that she didn't want. And Rias didn't want to put her family through all that, just because she didn't like her asshole of a fiancé.
It's why she wears the mask of one of Kuoh Academy's Great Nee-san's, that she's recently become known as. So the actions of her true self don't reflect poorly on her family.
'But once I finally find a way to break that damn engagement, I am going to rock all of their worlds.' Rias thought, knowing when that time came, all bets were off.
"Well, see you Sona-chan, I can't wait for our next game." Said Rias, winking at her girlfriend, before leaving to go for a walk to clear her head of her arousal, leaving an annoyed and horny Sona.
*Later-ORC Clubhouse*
After classes ended for the day, Rias and her Peerage met at the ORC Clubhouse, to see if any of them some found potential recruits.
"So, did any of you found any students that looked like they'd make good Peerage members?" Rias asked, while looking at her Peerage, before feeling disappointed when most of them shook their heads.
"No, we didn't see any of students, that had any potential." Answered Akeno.
"Same. None of the students in our year really stood or caught our attention." Koneko added, with Rias sighing, but expected this would likely happen, before looking at Yuuto, who hadn't shaken his head.
"What about you Kiba? Did any of the students seem particularly interesting?" Asked Rias.
"Maybe. There are two girls in my year, Murayama and Katase, that are members of the Kendo Club. They have a lot of talent in using swords, from what I saw, and great potential for using magic, as well." Kiba answered, having observed them, and saw that with the right training, they'd be great Peerage members.
Though it's ironic, that they also used to have a crush on him, until learning that he was dating Tsubaki. Granted, it's not rare for devils to have harems, since they have different views of polygamy than most humans. But Kiba was actually one of the few Devils that preferred to practice monogamy, instead of polygamy.
"Hmm, what Pieces would you recommend them as?" Rias asked.
"I'd say Pawns since they do have potential in different areas. And as Pawns, they'd be able to promote themselves to any Piece, and boost any given attribute." Replied Yuuto, with Rias humming in thought.
"Alright, Kiba, Koneko, bring Murayama and Katase here tomorrow, and we'll see if they'll want to join us. Though, Akeno, Moka, be ready to use a Memory-Wipe spell, in case they decline." Rias said, wanting to give them the chance to join her Peerage or not, along with making sure that if they declined, they didn't tell anyone about the Supernatural World.
The four nodded at the instructions, while wondering if they'll potentially get new Peerage members.
*Timeskip-One Day*
The next day, after classes ended, Yuuto and Koneko had found Murayama and Katase, before inviting them to the ORC Clubhouse. Something that made the girls both nervous and excited, since they were among the students that looked up to Rias, Akeno, and Moka.
The four entered the clubhouse, while seeing that everyone else was already present, with Rias sitting behind her desk flanked, by Akeno and Moka.
'Hmm, they're pretty cute. And I can see they'll definitely grow into great beauties, in a few years.' Rias thought, subtlely checking out the two girls, seeing they were both early bloomers, though not to the same extent as Koneko.
But in their defense, Koneko has her Chakra and Senjutsu to increase her growth, as well.
"Murayama, Katase, welcome to the ORC Clubhouse. I want to thank you both for coming here." Said Rias, while smiling at them, with Murayama and Katase returning the smile.
"It's no problem, Rias, thank you for inviting us." Katase replied, with Murayama nodding in agreement.
"Yes, thank you, this is a really lovely clubhouse. But why did you want to meet with us?" Asked Murayama, neither of them knowing the reason why Rias wanted to meet them, especially since they're already members of the Kendo Club.
Hearing the question, Rias dropped her mask as the Gremory Heiress and one of the Two Great Nee-sans, with Murayama and Katase surprised at the sudden change in demeanor.
"I suppose I should first properly introduce myself, all I ask is you two don't freak out. My name is Rias Gremory and I, along with the rest of the ORC, are Devils. Or Half-Devils in the case of Akeno, Koneko, Gasper, and Moka." Said Rias, before releasing her wings, with the rest of her Peerage doing the same, while Murayama and Katase looked at them in shock and slight fear at the knowledge, they were surrounded by Devils.
Rias then began explaining to them about the Evil Pieces, the History of the Devils, and the Three Factions as a whole. Thankful that the two remained calm or did a good job at hiding how freaked out they were and let her explain.
"As you can see, everyone here is a member of my Peerage. Akeno is my Queen, Moka and Koneko are my Rooks, Kiba's my Knight, and Gaspers my Bishop. The reason I called you both here, is because I wish to offer you both the chance to join my Peerage." Rias said, surprising the two.
"Y-you want us to become, Devils?" Katase asked, with Rias nodding as she crossed her arms under her bust.
"Yes. The choice is entirely up to you both, and I'll understand if you reject my offer. Now, do you have any questions that you'd like to ask?" Asked Rias, with Murayama and Katase nodding slowly, since this was a lot to take in.
"Uh, yes. If we became…Devils, what exactly would we have to do?" Murayama asked, since the both of them feeling pretty nervous, about this.
After all, everything they knew about demons, or Devils, meant they killed people, stole people's souls, and sacrificed virgins.
"As Devils, you'd be members of my Peerage. But you wouldn't have to worry about being treated as servants, slaves, or anything like that. The Gremory Family has a history of being one of the more affectionate members of the now 32 Pillars and see our Peerages as family. As for what you would do, mostly just attend meetings and complete contracts. And no, those don't involve taking peoples souls. All you'd do is hand out flyers and wait for someone to summon you to fulfill their request, afterwards you would form a contract between yourself and the client. You would also take part in Rating Games against other Peerages. All of which would help boost your own status and rise in rank, until you eventually become a High-Class Devil, and be able to form your own Peerages. Those are the basics of what you'd be doing, aside from that, you'd still go about your normal lives." Rias explained.
"And, we can say no, if we don't want to?" Asked Katase, with Rias nodding.
"Yes, if neither of you wish to become Devils, I won't force you to. Like I said, it's your choice." Replied Rias, with Murayama and Katase looking around at the other Peerage members, who all nodded in agreement with Rias's words.
"Could we have some time to think about this?" Murayama asked, with Katase nodding in agreement, since this was a lot to take in and a big decision to make.
"Of course, take as long as you like." Rias answered, while silently casting a spell on the two, so they can't reveal anything they've heard to anyone, whether accidentally or intentionally, so the secrecy of the Three Factions, and the Supernatural as a whole, isn't compromised.
After all, since they hadn't outright said no, she can't erase their memories, just because they haven't decided yet.
"And here, for when you do decide, use these to summon me." Said Rias, handing them both a flyer to summon her, with the two nodding and taking them.
"Thank you, Rias." Katase said.
"Yeah, thank you. But we have to go now, Kendo Practice will be starting soon." Said Murayama, with Rias nodding in understanding.
"Right. And one more thing, if you two do accept my offer, you'll still be able to attend the Kendo Club. Just in case, you were worried that you'd have to quit." Rias said, with the two smiling and nodding, glad to hear that, before taking their leave.
Watching them leave, Rias looked at the of her Peerage, once the two were gone.
"The rest of you are dismissed for the day." Rias said, with her Peerage nodding, before taking their leave as well, with Ria soon following by teleporting to a secluded part of the park, wanting to get some training done.
Once appearing in the park, Rias began going through her exercises, along with practicing her Magic, as well. Doing basic control exercises with multiple forms of Magic, the redhead wishing to be able to use several types of Magic at once. So she also began working on being able to multitask, without breaking her concentration.
After she finished with the exercises and Magic Manipulation, Rias reached into her pocket dimension and pulled out her weapon of choice, a large scythe with a black staff and crimson-red blade. Having chosen a scythe as her weapon, given its range allowed Rias to keep her opponents at a distance. Along with being able to channel her Magic and Power of Destruction through it, to launch attacks from its blade. And with how big it was, it allowed Rias to use the momentum of her swings to her advantage, such as stabbing it into the ground and flipping around the handle to dodge attacks, or attack an opponent.
Plus, Rias can't deny that she may have been inspired to use a scythe, after watching shows, such as Soul Eater and RWBY for example.
Going through the katas and channeling her power through it, Rias smiled at how much she's improved in using her scythe.
Though she soon finished practicing with her scythe, and returned the weapon to her pocket dimension, before moving onto something new. This being something she's been working on in secret and intended to be the pinnacle of her Clan's mastery of Magic.
The idea having come to her, with the knowledge that Devils have the ability to alter and modify their appearance. This being part of the reason why her parents, Sirzechs, and Grayfia look so young, despite being hundreds, if not thousands, of years old.
Not counting that Devils have near eternal youth, as well.
Rias planned to combine this ability with some Power Enhancement Magic and the Power of Destruction, to give herself a transformation. Like ones she's seen used in anime, along with knowing that Sirzechs was able to transform his entire body into Power of Destruction.
It's been a secret project Rias has been working on, and intended for it be an ace in the hole against enemies.
With that, Rias took a deep breath before letting out a roar of power, as she began transforming, with a dark crimson aura with black highlights surrounding her. Her eyes soon started to change, with them now having black sclera and glowing red irises with slit pupils, while her teeth sharpening into fangs, with her canines growing slightly longer. Though stopping, before they became monstrous in appearance, while still giving her the right mix of danger and sexy. While her skin starting to gain a tan, with her hair developing silver-white streaks and highlights. That soon began spreading across her hair, replacing its original crimson-red color.
'This feels good.' Rias thought, shivering at the feel of her power growing, before continuing the transformation.
Unfortunately, the transformation suddenly stopped, before it was complete. With Rias's appearance reverting back to normal. Causing Rias to look at herself in surprise, before mentally cursing at failing once again to complete her transformation. Before the girl sighing in resignation.
'I guess that Goku is right. The power will have come from a need, not a desire.' Thought Rias, disappointed that she'll have to wait to complete her transformation.
Knowing there isn't much else to do, Rias prepare to teleport back home. Only to stop, and point her thumb behind her, firing a red Death Beam at whatever, or whoever, was spying on her.
"I'll never get tired of how awesome that is." Rias said, smiling at having recreated Frieza's signature attack, while making it red to her own flare to it, before becoming annoyed, when she looked to see just what she had killed.
With Rias scowling, when she saw the red and orange Fire Eagle, while recognizing the bird as Riser's Familiar.
"I am really starting to get pissed off, right now." Muttered Rias, before blasting its head off, ensuring Riser can't get any information about her, from its memories.
With that done, Rias put the corpse in her pocket dimension, before teleporting to the Underworld.
*Phenex Compound*
Reappearing outside the Phenex Compound, Rias walked through the gates, being greeted by Lord and Lady Phenex, Ravel, and Riser, who was accompanied by his Queen, Yubelluna. The Phenex Family being surprised at the sudden visit, but also pleased, particularly Riser.
"Ahh, my dear Rias, have finally come to your senses, and decided to stop wasting your time in the human world? You don't have to answer, it's obvious you have, and we can now go through with our wedding." Riser said with a smirk, while under the belief that Rias had "come to her senses" and was going to marry him now.
"Sorry to disappoint, but if I was here for pleasantries, it would be to see Ravel-chan, here. No, I'm here strictly for business, and to return something you lost." Said Rias, while smiling "sweetly" at Riser, before snapping her fingers, causing the corpse of Riser's Familiar to drop down in front of them.
Much to their shock and horror at the appearance of the headless corpse, while Riser scowled, furious at seeing that his Familiar dead.
"You know Riser, we may be Devils, but are you really that afraid at the idea of losing against me, should we have a Rating Game to decide the engagement, that you need to cheat in order to win? Like having your Familiar spy on my training." Said Rias, still smiling "sweetly" at Riser, with it now gaining a mocking-edge to it, as well.
All while Lord and Lady Phenex frowned at Riser, and Ravel looked at him in disbelief.
"I mean of course, it'd make sense that you'd need to have an unfair advantage to win. You know; besides those fancy tears, you have. Cause honestly, what exactly is the point of your Peerage? Just to have a bunch of half-naked girls to flaunt around, no offense to Ravel-chan, since I'm sure you didn't have a choice in the matter. I mean, if you wanna admit you're scared, it's perfectly acceptable. Since my Peerage doesn't need an unfair advantage to win, like spying on our opponent, or always being able to have Phoenix Tears, in a Rating Game. All we need, is our own strength and power to win. But Riser, I think we both know you need every advantage; you can get. Though I'm sure we'll see if you really deserve your undefeated record, during your next Rating Game, without your little birdie to spy on your opponent. Now, I'll be going, and do try to look after your pets, from now on." Said Rias, before teleporting back to Kuoh, leaving a fuming Riser, as Lord and Lady Phenex looked at him in disappointment, with Yubelluna being upset at her King's humiliation, while Ravel was in shock.
"Riser, we won those Rating Games fairly, didn't we? We never cheated, right?" Ravel asked, having believed her brother won all his Rating Games, because he and his Peerage were strong, not by spying on their opponents.
"Of course we did Ravel! Rias is merely trying to cause problems because she knows that she'll lose against us!" Riser shouted, with Ravel flinching at the volume, but didn't look convinced at his words.
"Then you won't mind your mother and I ordering an investigation, regarding your Rating Game matches. And seeing for ourselves, that you earned those victories." Said Lord Phenex, with Riser about to argue, only to fall silent under his parents' look.
Since while it may have simply been Rias taking a jab at Riser. Her bringing the body of his Familiar here, showed that such a possibility could have happened. So Lord and Lady Phenex wanted to make sure that their son actually won those Rating Games, fairly.
"I'll also be trading you one of my Bishops, for Ravel." Said Lady Phenex, wanting her daughter to have the chance to form her own Peerage, or join a different one, if she chooses.
This serving only to worsen Riser's mood, as he stormed back into the manor, followed by Yubelluna.
So, what did you think, good. Yep Rias is having her Peerage divided and observing their classmates to see if any of them would be worth recruiting into her Peerage. Along with seeing, that unlike canon Rias, this Rias also has a bit of a rebel streak but also isn't willing to do anything that'd affect her family's status and image. Then we see that none of her Peerage found any students of interest, except Yuuto who recommended Murayama and Katase to join as Pawns, with Rias having them brought to her the next day and offers them the chance to join, with the girls needing time to think about such a decision. Next we see Rias's training, with both her weapon of a choice, a scythe, and seeing her own secret project as well, trying to create her own transformation. Finally, Rias takes care of something spying on her, revealed to be Riser's Familiar (which he actually did have spying on her and her Peerage in the anime), which she then returns to her "fiancé" along with giving a few burns of her own in regards to him being undefeated in Rating Games. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
Storm out
