"Hey, I was in the area when you called." Said Qrow, before stopping when he saw his sister sitting next to Summer, having actually doubted that Raven was really here, but now saw it was true.
And like Summer and Taiyang, he immediately noticed her rather unexpecting demeanor, along with pregnant stomach, making the male Branwen worried for his sister. As despite their differences, she is still his sister.
"Raven." Qrow greeted, with Raven looking up at her brother, before looking back down.
"Qrow." Replied Raven, as Qrow and Taiyang sat down across from the two women, wanting to get some answers as to what happened.
"Raven, what happened to you?" Summer asked, while seeing that her former partner was now starting to shake.
"It-it happened…a few months ago…I-I went out on a solo raid…I didn't think i-it'd be di-difficult, but then…Grimm started sh-showing up…I took care o-of th-them, b-but then…th-then…s-she showed up…S-Salem was there." Raven said, unable to suppress the fear as she remembered everything that happened, while Summer, Qrow, and Taiyang's eyes widened in shock to hear that Salem herself appeared before Raven, not even caring about the fact she went on a raid.
"Salem?! As in actually Salem, in person?!" Qrow asked urgently at the fact that Salem herself showed up, rather than any of her followers.
"What did she do?" Questioned Taiyang, with Raven taking in a shaky breath, knowing she couldn't tell them the truth of what happened, both of what Salem did and the fact she was a Maiden.
Knowing that would eventually get back to Ozpin and Raven refused to get dragged back into his war or have him and the other Headmasters find out the truth of her child.
"Sh-she, she just wanted to see…to see Ozpin's new generation of followers personally…and to…to prove a point…that no matter where we are, she can find us…that she knows our weaknesses…she knows how to break us…like she did to me…that nothing I did mattered…it was just a game to her…she could have killed me…but she didn't…she just wanted to a prove a point…that it doesn't matter." Raven said, lying, but also telling a part of the truth, since it doesn't matter, she stabbed Salem through the chest and she just walked it off, along with seeing just how easily she can manipulate all of them with just a few words and illusions.
"What…what happened after?" Summer asked.
"I went to a bar, to try and forget what happened…I ended up getting drunk and sleeping with someone, which lead to this." Raven said, pointing at her stomach.
"Why didn't you just go back to the tribe? Why come here?" Qrow asked.
"You know how the tribe works. Any hint of weakness is inviting them to challenge me and get rid of that weakness. I couldn't do anything or focus on my responsibilities as leader. So, I left before they could challenge and overthrow me. I didn't have anywhere else to go, so I came here, but I'll understand if you want me to leave. I'd want me to leave if I was in your shoes." Raven said, looking down, waiting for them to inevitably tell her to leave and not come back.
"You aren't going anywhere, Raven." Said Summer, refusing to leave her former partner alone now of all times, not caring about their difference, only that her friend needed help and Summer wasn't going to leave her alone.
"She's right. As much as we argued and fought, we're still family Raven." Qrow said, going over and sitting next to his sister, while putting a hand on her shoulder.
"There's a spare room upstairs, it's yours if you want it." Said Taiyang, while smiling at Raven.
Raven looked at them in disbelief, not understanding how they could so willingly let her back in, after how she left.
"Thank you." Raven whispered as tears fell from her eyes, for once being tears of happiness, rather than pain and sadness.
*End Flashback*
It still surprised Raven even now, that they had so readily welcomed her back, not being used to such kindness without expecting to give something in return or being taught kindness was a weakness.
Though the next morning, Raven had a new problem to confront, and that being the daughter she had abandoned for two years.
*Flashback*
Raven sat nervously in the kitchen, while Summer was fixing breakfast. Taiyang having already gone to Signal, having become a teacher there, something Raven didn't expect.
The reasons for Raven's nervousness, was due to the fact that in a few moments, she'd soon be meeting Yang for the first time since she left. Not sure what to expect, but likely knowing it'll be anger and denial, given for the past two years, Yang has believed Summer is her mother. It's unlikely she'll accept or believe that Raven is her birth mother, when she's probably never heard of her.
The Maiden was pulled from her thoughts, when she heard footsteps coming down the stairs and looked to see her daughter. Seeing the despite being only two-years-old, Yang looked exactly like her, except with blonde hair and lilac eyes, like Taiyang.
"Morning mom." Yang said, yawning, while rubbing her eyes, with Raven flinching, knowing she wasn't talking to her, while Summer smiled at her step-daughter.
"Good morning, my sunny dragon." Replied Summer, with Yang's eyes fully opening, before the little girl blinked in confusion when she saw Raven.
"Hey, you look like uncle Qrow. Are you related?" Yang asked, seeing the resemblance the woman had with her uncle, with Raven gulping, while Summer stopped in her cooking and looked between the two.
"Uh yes, she is Yang. That's because this is Raven, Qrow's twin sister." Said Summer, with Yang being surprised to hear this.
"Does that mean you're my aunt?" Asked Yang, tilting her head, with Raven wincing at her question.
"Actually Yang, Raven is your…she's your birth mother." Summer revealed, going over and kneeling in front of Yang, who looked surprised and confused by this.
"My…birth mother?" Yang questioned, with Summer nodding.
"Yes, I know it's strange, but it's true. Though even if I didn't give birth to you, I still love you all the same, as if you were my own. Don't ever doubt that." Said Summer, hugging Yang, who returned the hug before looking at Raven.
"Where were you then?" Yang asked, still trying to understand what was happening.
"I…I had some issues to work out." Raven answered, not wanting to tell her daughter that she just left.
Yang only tilted her head in confusion at this, before her eyes drifted down to Raven's stomach and her eyes widened.
"Hey, you have a big tummy like mom does! Does that mean you'll have a baby to?!" Yang asked, smiling in excitement, while Raven was surprised at her question.
"Uh, yes…I am going to have a baby, like Summer." Replied Raven, before being surprised when Yang jumped up and cheered.
"Alright! I get to have two baby sisters now! And I get two moms, too!" Yang cheered, before running over and hugging Raven, surprising the woman again.
"You…aren't you mad, I wasn't around?" Raven asked.
"Why would I be mad? You came, back didn't you? And you're letting me have two sisters, instead of one! This the bestest day ever!" Said Yang, excited at the idea of having two little sisters, while Raven could only look at her daughter in amazement, before looking at Summer, who merely smiled at the scene.
Before hesitantly, Raven returned the hug.

While the welcoming's weren't what Raven had been expecting, they were also welcomed and helped her through her problems. She was especially grateful at being able to rebuild her friendship with Summer, even if she wished for it to be more, Raven was just glad to have her around again.
Which had also led to her telling Summer the truth of what really happened.
*Flashback*
"What did you want to talk about, Raven?" Summer asked, sitting next to Raven on the couch, both women now sporting rounded stomachs, showing how far along they were in their pregnancies.
Raven had finally decided to tell Summer the truth of what happened, knowing she had a right to know, especially on the chance that her child ends up having some of her features. Given Raven didn't know the extent of Salem's powers, or how real that transformation she used was. But since she was capable of impregnating Raven, the Maiden wouldn't be surprised if the child had Summer's features as well.
So, she figured it'd be best that Summer knew the truth, with Raven knowing there was a chance this could ruin everything, but she was going to tell her all the same.
"It's…it's about what happened, when I encountered Salem." Said Raven, with Summer immediately looking at her in worry.
"What about it? What else happened?" Summer asked, wondering what else Salem could have done to her former partner.
"Salem, she…she didn't approach me to see Ozpin's new followers, I doubt she even cares about them. What she really wanted…was me…she…she tormented me…she tore down all my walls…taunted me into attacking her…I did stab her, but…but she made me think…" Raven said, while hating the tears building in her eyes.
"She made you think what?" Said Summer, growing more and more worried at Salem did.
"She made me think I killed you. Knowing how much it'd hurt." Said Raven, grabbing Summer's hand before looking at her, with Summer looking at her with wide eyes.
"…Me?" Summer asked, with Raven nodding.
"Yes. Because she knew…she knew you were the one I loved most, and thinking that I killed you, it hurt more than anything imaginable." Raven said, while Summer looked at her with wide eyes, before slowly taking her hand away.
"Why are you telling me this now?" Said Summer, unable to deny the hurt she was feeling that Raven was suddenly telling her that she loved her.
"Because…because it was only because I thought it was you, that what happened next…happened." Said Raven, as the tears fell freely in remembrance of what Salem did.
"What happened…next?" Summer questioned, gaining a sinking feeling, when Raven put a hand on her stomach.
"I never went to a bar…I never met any guy…the only person who touched me…was her…while wearing your face…" Said Raven, with Summer covering her mouth in shock and horror, as she realized what happened and who the real "father" of Raven's child was.
"The child…it's Salem's." Summer said in horror that Salem did that to her former partner.
"I wanted to kill it. After I found out, I wanted to kill it, but every time I tried, I'd always see you and be guilted into keeping "our" child." Raven confessed, laying it all out, as Summer looked at her in sadness and horror at what she went through.
Raven looking up when Summer grabbed her hands, looking into her silver eyes.
"Raven, I can't begin to imagine what you went through, but you can't blame your daughter. No matter how she was conceived, or who her other parent is, she's innocent and deserves a chance. You can help her be better, to not turn out like Salem. And I'll be there to help you through it all." Summer said, with Raven looking at her in surprise and a little hope.
"You will?" Raven asked, with Summer nodding determinedly.
"Yes. And I'll keep it a secret of who's child she is, she doesn't deserve to be judged for the crimes of her parent." Summer replied, with Raven unable to help herself and hugged her tightly.
"Thank you, Summer." Said Raven, being reminded of why she loves Summer, she has the biggest heart Raven has ever seen.
"You never have to thank me, Raven. And in a way, she really is our daughter and we'll look after her, together." Summer said, smiling, not caring who the "father" of Raven's child was, she'll love them just like Yang and her own baby.
'And like her mother.' Thought Summer.
*End Flashback*
Raven had also needed to tell Summer she was the Spring Maiden, to explain just why Salem targeted her. Though this also came with an unsettling revelation, with Summer realizing that if Salem chose to target Raven now, it must mean the war between her and Ozpin would soon be reaching its endgame. With neither of them being sure, who would be standing at the top at the end.
They had also come up with a cover story to explain any features Raven's daughter may inherit from Summer. Being that the "guy" she slept with had a Transformation Semblance, that made it so any of his offspring inherited the features of his transformation.
Aside from that, the only other thing to happen during their pregnancies was Summer bringing home a corgi she named Zwei, which Raven had become attached to. Taking comfort in the small corgi during some of her more severe depression episodes, whenever she thought about what happened.
After that, it wasn't long until Raven and Summer reached their due dates, ironically in the same month and only a few weeks apart.
With Naruko Branwen-Rose being born on October Tenth and Ruby Rose being born on October Thirty-first. And like they predicted, Naruko inherited features from both Raven and Summer, having the same black and red hair as Summer, that also had some slight spikiness, and having Raven's red eyes. While having the same pale skin as both her mothers.
Along with having three whisker marks on her cheeks, elongated canines, and slit pupils, giving her a feral look. This being a result of Raven and Qrow having a Fox Faunus in their family tree, and while the genes were too diluted for Naruko to be born with a tail or fox ears, like an actual Faunus. It did result in her being born with some Fox-like features.
Fourteen years have passed since then, with Naruko, Ruby, and Yang having all been trained by their parents and uncle Qrow.
With Summer having agreed to help train them, despite not wanting any of her daughters to become Huntresses and get hurt, or worse. But she had relented, knowing that even if they weren't trained, they would still be targeted by Salem and her followers, simply for being connected to them and them being in Ozpin's group. At least this way, they would be able to defend and protect themselves.
Though Raven had adamantly refused to let Naruko attend Signal with Ruby and Yang, instead having her be homeschooled. To ensure Ozpin and the other headmasters don't learn about Naruko's "father", especially since the truth of her heritage shines through, when she uses her Semblance. With her hair turning stark white and her eyes glowing red and gaining black sclera.
Another reason was so Naruko could defend herself from Salem, as Raven was sure that the Witch had plans for their daughter. Given she doubts that the Grimm Queen seduced her, simply because she was horny and bored.
It was also good that Naruko wasn't attending Signal, as she had expressed a desire to instead become a bounty hunter/mercenary, rather than a Huntress, like Ruby and Yang. As a way to stay close to her bandit roots, without becoming an actual criminal.
Currently, Naruko stood in front of both her mother and uncle.
Over the years, Naruko grew into a beautiful young girl, with her black and red hair having grown well past her waist, with some strands sticking up. With her attire consisting of steel-toed, black heeled boots that went to her mid-thigh and had red straps around the heel parts, black spandex shorts, a black long-sleeved shirt with a cleavage window, two belts crisscrossing around her waist, black gloves, and a vibrant red jacket with two long thin tails hanging from the back.
"Naruko, you've come a long way in your training, and I can say that you've learned everything we have to teach you. All that's left is, to go out and gain some experience for yourself to keep improving." Raven said, smiling at her daughter, proud of how far she's come.
"Thank you, mom, and thank you, uncle, for everything you've taught me." Replied Naruko, returning the smile, having been trained by both of them to wield a sword and a scythe, along with mastering her Semblance, which was Blood Manipulation.
With her Semblance helping in creating her weapon with Ruby's help, the Aramasa, or as it's also called, the Blood Scythe.
"Good luck out there, kid. And if you ever get into trouble, just remember…I'm still a better scythe-user than you." Said Qrow smirking, while Naruko rolled her eyes.
"You wish old man. I'm the scythe master here, now." Naruko retorted, before the two smiled at each and fist bumped, before Naruko hugged her mother.
The girl then turned to the rest of her family, to say her farewells.
"Look at you, I sometimes look at you and still see that cute little girl running around. Now you've grown into a beautiful young woman, and a great fighter as well. I couldn't be prouder to call you and your sisters, my daughters." Summer said smiling at her daughter in all, but blood, having kept her word to always be there to help Raven, with Naruko returning the smile and hugged her.
"I owe it to all of you for your help." Replied Naruko, with Summer hugging her and kissing her forehead, before the girl looks to Taiyang, who became like a second uncle to her.
"Good luck out there and try not to just rush into a dangerous situation, you don't understand." Taiyang said, smiling.
"Aaah, but that's half the fun, the danger." Stated Naruko, before looking at her sisters.
"You are so lucky; you get go out on adventures and travel already, while I'm still stuck in school." Yang said, annoyed that her sister gets to go and explore Remnant already.
"Hey, don't be too upset, you'll get your chance…after graduating from Signal next year. Then attending Beacon for, oh, three years." Naruko replied, smirking, with Yang doing the mature things and sticking her tongue out at her.
The next was a twelve-year-old girl, with long pale blonde hair tied in twintails, pale skin, sharp shark-like teeth, and silver eyes. Wearing brown mary janes, long white socks, a black skirt, a white shirt, a black jacket, and blue bowtie.
This was Magne Xiao-Rose, Naruko, Ruby, and Yang's little sister having been born two years after Naruko and Ruby. Who was also born with traits from diluted Faunus genes, like Naruko, with hers being her sharp teeth. With it turning out that Taiyang had a Shark Faunus in his family tree.
"What no goodbyes?" Naruko asked, smiling, while Magne crossed her arms and made a "hmph" sound.
"And why should I say goodbye? It's not like we'll never see each other again." Said Magne.
"Yeah, I'll miss you too, sis." Naruko said, ruffling Magne's hair, who blushed in embarrassment before swatting her hand away.
"Don't touch my hair! I had it just right, and then you ruined it!" Said Magne, as she tried straightening her hair.
Naruko merely smiled at the girl, before turning to her last family member, and the one she was closest with.
"You're really leaving." Ruby said sadly, with Naruko nodding.
"Yeah, but even I'm not here now, I'll always be with you, just like you'll always be with me." Replied Naruko, with Ruby looking at her with teary eyes before speeding forward and hugging her tightly, which Naruko returned.
"I'm gonna miss you." Said Ruby.
"I'll miss you, too. But remember what I always say, never say goodbye, if you don't say goodbye, you aren't really gone…" Naruko said.
"You just aren't here, right now." Finished Ruby, with Naruko nodding in agreement.
"No matter what, you'll always be with me." Naruko whispered to Ruby.
"And you'll always be with me." Replied Ruby, before the two pulled apart and smiled at each other.
Raven and Summer looked at their daughters, seeing how close they were, having known they were always closer to each other, than everyone else. It made the two women wonder if history may repeat for them, Naruko falling for Ruby or Ruby falling for Naruko. If it did, they hoped it works out better for them, than it did for their mothers. The two women glancing at each other, being able to tell what the other was thinking, given how long they've known each other.
'No matter how long it takes.' Raven thought, refusing to give up, even now.
'I know.' Thought Summer, the two exchanging small smiles of understanding.
"Also Naruko, one more thing, please try to avoid getting into trouble." Summer said, with Naruko giving her an innocent look.
"What? How could I possibly get into trouble?" Asked Naruko, only being met with dry stares from everyone, except Qrow and Raven.
Before everyone looked at the Branwen Twins, who proceed to look anywhere, but them.
Meanwhile, in Atlas a certain general and CEO both sneeze in their respective offices.
No one aware of the chaos that will soon be unleashed on all of Remnant.
So, what did you think, good. Yep Naruko's parents none other than Raven and Salem! With Salem having tracked down Raven, along with knowing she's now the Spring Maiden, and after tearing down her emotional and mental walls seduced her all while disguised as Summer, leading to the Grimm Queen impregnating Raven. Which in turn led Raven to leave the Branwen Tribe after how she was affected by what happened, with her going back to her teammates and telling them what happened, with only Summer eventually learning the full story. With it not being long before Naruko and Ruby are born (Naruko's appearance is the cover image for the story just with black and red hair and red eyes, along whisker marks ad elongated canines). While all the girls are trained by their family to defend themselves and become Huntresses or in Naruko's case a mercenary/bounty hunter. Finally we get the goodbyes as Naruko goes off on her own, along with seeing a new addition with Magne having bee born, due to Summer not going on the mission that ended in her death, and seeing how close Naruko and Ruby are. Along with hints of the kind of trouble Naruko's going to get into. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.

Yo, it's the Sith'ari here, and I just want to get something off of my chest. For those that are going to complain, and call Naruko an OC, stop, just stop. This has been a pet-peeve of mine, for quite a while. Just because they're born in another world or have different parents, has a different appearance or abilities, when compared to their Canon counterpart, people just brush Naruto or Naruko off as an OC. And it's not even drastic cases, like this.
Whether they're reincarnation Fanfics, even when Naruto or Naruko retain their appearance, and potentially abilities, from their past-life. Or when we just make small or minor changes, like changing their personality or abilities. Hell, in the case of Fanfics where Naruto has amnesia, with it being established that he was originally from the Elemental Nations and lived the same life as Canon Naruto, up until a certain point, people are comparing him to an OC.
I mean seriously, if you are so trigger with us doing these things with Naruto, despite how minor they are, to the point of labeling him as an OC. Then why are you reading these Fanfics, or even on this Website, if all you are going to do is flame us, while bitching and moaning on how we decide to depict the character?! This is Fanfiction, not Canonfiction.
And what makes this so annoying, as that this used to not be a problem, or at least it hasn't blown out of proportion like it did now. People used to be more open-minded about these types of Naruto & Naruko Fanfics. But now, they just seem to be getting more and more close-minded about this.
Really, when people go by that logic, all Fanfiction Narutos and Narukos can be considered OCs. Because the one-true Canon Naruto, is the one that Masashi Kishimoto himself, had made. Especially when a lot of cases, where people try to make Naruto close to his Canon Incarnation tend to flanderized the more annoying aspects of the Character.
So again, just save us and the people reading the Fanfic the time and annoyance, and just stop.
Then again, I'm pretty sure that a good number of you will just be trolls, and ignore what I said, to just bitch and moan, regardless.
Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be seeing how Naruko's family is handling Naruko leaving, along with seeing Naruko begin her career as a mercenary/bounty hunter, with her first self-appointed job. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
Five days have passed, since Naruko left to begin her career as a mercenary/bounty hunter, and things have become rather…quiet to say the least.
Despite six, and occasionally seven, people living in the house, it now felt strangely empty with Naruko gone. All of them having to remind themselves that she had left, whenever they half expected her to show up or be causing trouble somewhere.
With Ruby and Magne taking Naruko's departure the hardest, with Ruby constantly worrying over her step/half-sister, wondering where she is, if she's alright, what she's doing. With it even leading the dual-haired girl to neglect working on her weapon, Crescent Rose. Being unable to focus on it, as it'd remind her of when she helped Naruko make Aramasa.
While Magne had begun carrying around a Naruko plushie she made, as a way to comfort herself and have her sister close by. Hating that one of her big sisters isn't around.
The two sisters were currently sitting on the couch and staring blankly at the holographic TV projector, though not really watching what was on. With Yang looking at her sisters in worry, before going over to them.
"Guys come on; you can't keep doing that." Yang said, standing in front of them with her arms crossed.
"Doing what?" Questioned Magne.
"This! Acting all depressed and sad that Naruko isn't here. I get it, you miss her, we all miss her, but acting like this isn't going to magically make her come back. It's alright to be worried about her, but you don't have to be, we all know how strong she is. If anything, you should be worried for anyone that gets in her way." Yang said, with Ruby and Magne nodding, all of them knowing that Naruko is a strong fighter, and if she wanted to, likely could have graduated from signal early and gone to Beacon, if not for Raven's refusal to have her attend Signal and Beacon, along with Naruko not having an interest in becoming a Huntress.
"I guess." Muttered Ruby, though still worried for Naruko and wherever she is at the moment.
"Great. Now why don't you keep working on your weapon, Rubes. That way, when Naruko does get back, you'll be able to see who's become the better scythe user. Right?" Said Yang, smiling at her sister, which Ruby returned before going up to their room to do just that.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Raven and Summer had their own worries of Naruko being out on her own. Namely the chance of Salem finding and approaching their daughter, before doing who knows what to her.
"Raven, why do you think Salem did…what she did? Why would she want a child?" Summer asked, neither of them having been able to figure out the purpose behind Salem's actions, given they doubted it was just a random accident that she impregnated Raven, while also knowing she was the Spring Maiden.
"I don't know, I always figured she wanted to use Naruko as some secret weapon against Ozpin, as a means to kill him permanently. Or intending to have her hold the power of the Maidens, to gather the Relics." Replied Raven, though not sure if that was true or not, and that worried her the most, not knowing what Salem's plans were for their daughter.
The only thing they could be sure about, was that Salem likely intended for Naruko to do something she'd only trust someone who shared her blood to do. Given the Grimm Queen had her own followers, whatever purpose she planned Naruko to serve, was something important.
"Do you think she'll…hurt Naruko?" Summer said, being worried on the chance Salem would hurt or even kill Naruko, if it seemed like the Witch believed the girl proved to be a failure and useless in her eyes.
"I…I don't think she would." Answered Raven, not sure herself of the possibility, though she hoped that the Witch still had some form of humanity in her and wouldn't harm her own child.
The only thing that reassured them, was that if they needed to get to Naruko quickly, in the event something does happen, Raven can use her Semblance and open a portal to her.
Now they can only hope it doesn't come to that, and anything Naruko does encounter, she can handle on her own.
*With Naruko*
Meanwhile, Naruko sneezed as she walked through the snowy Kingdom of Atlas, just as she entered a town.
'Huh, someone must be talking about me a lot. I wonder if it's Ruby.' Naruko thought, while rubbing her nose, having been sneezing for a few minutes.
Shrugging, Naruko looked around the town she just entered, being able to see the City of Mantle in the distance, along with the floating City of Atlas. The sight making Naruko shake her head, not understanding the point of creating a floating city, if only just to create a further divide between the citizens. As from what she's heard, Atlas is home to all the high-class, rich, and usually human, citizens of the Kingdom. While Mantle is home to the disenfranchised human and Faunus workers.
This also made it a good place for her to start out, given from what her mother and uncle told her, the people of Atlas are known to higher local mercenaries and bounty hunters. Rather than Huntsmen or even employing the Atlas Military, for certain…less than legal jobs. Having learned of some good places to go to, to take these jobs and begin her own career.
Eventually Naruko arrived outside a pub and pulled down the hood of her white cloak, going up to the counter and sitting down.
"You serve ramen here?" Naruko asked the bar keeper, who looked up from cleaning the counter before sneering at the girl, making Naruko roll her eyes, already knowing the reason.
She had also learned that the people of Atlas are rather close-minded on certain matters, in addition to only caring about their own self-interests, with one of them being their Anti-Faunus sentiment. So to them, even if Naruko only had feral features, rather than being an actual Faunus, it didn't matter to them. Since she was still a "dirty animal", as far as they were concerned.
"We don't serve your kind here. Beat it!" Said the bar keeper, with Naruko raising a brow and smiled mockingly at the man.
"Really? And who is exactly is going to make me, you racist piece of filth. You?" Naruko said, the man's face turning red in anger as he glared at her, before Naruko heard several patrons get up and walk up behind her.
"We are, you worthless animal. But since you don't know how to listen, your corpse will be thrown out!" Said of the various mercenaries and bounty hunters as they drew their weapons, making Naruko sigh as she put her hand on Aramasa's hilt, before the Branwen immediately jumped out of her seat, flipping over her attackers.
Landing on the ground, Naruko drew her sword, before swinging it the mercenaries and bounty hunters that attacked her, cutting them in half at the waist. Naruko then turned around blocking a strike from another patron, the girl then kicking them away from her, while Aramasa's hilt extended, stabbing the blade straight through them.
Naruko then ran over to a table, before kicking it over, use it as a shield to block several shots from the patrons with guns. Glancing out to see there were four shooting at her, the Branwen smirked at seeing them all standing in group.
'They're really not that bright, are they.' Naruko thought, before lifting the table up and throwing it at the shooters.
The sudden action surprising them, leaving them know time to dodge, as they were knocked down by the table. With Naruko immediately rushing over to them, before cutting them all deeply across the chest.
Standing up, Aramasa's hilt extended to its full length, while the blade rotated and began opening up into sections, as it took the form of scythe. With a red blade coming out, once the transformation was complete.
Spinning the scythe around, Naruko turned and swung it cutting off the bar keepers head, when he tried attacking her from behind. Looking around the pub, Naruko saw everyone was now dead, making her return Aramasa to its sword form.
This wasn't the first time Naruko's had to spill blood on her travels, Raven having made sure her daughter wouldn't hesitate to take an enemy down permanently. Rather than giving them the chance to try and get back up, so they can attack her again.
'And all I wanted was some ramen.' Naruko thought, sighing in annoyance before going over to the request board, seeing as the pub was now out of business, she might as well see what jobs it had available.
Looking over the various requests, Naruko's eyes soon landed on one she saw that came from the SDC, the job request involving one of their slave mines. Requesting extra guards to help keep the "animals" in line and in the event, it was attacked. The request obviously being illegal, given the nature of it, with the company not hiring anyone through the legal channels.
'Well, it's not what I was hoping for, but it'll do.' Naruko thought, drawing her blade again, before slicing the request in half and exiting the pub to head for the mine.
*Later*
It didn't take long, before Naruko reached the mine with her immediately being surrounded by SDC officials, pointing their rifles at her.
"Hold it, you damn an-GAH!" One of the officials said, before letting out a choked gasp when Naruko threw Aramasa straight through his chest, making him stumble back, before the Branwen ran forward, grabbing her sword's hilt and flipping over him, while pulling her weapon out of his body.
Not stopping there, Naruko quickly turned around and, using the official's corpse as a shield, grabbed his rifle and began firing at the remaining workers. The girl continuing on her way, the moment the last one fell dead, while flipping her cloak around, so that the black interior was now on the outside and the white was on the inside.
Entering the mine, Naruko stuck to the shadows as she made her way to the generator room, cutting down anyone that got her way. Upon arriving at the generator, Naruko began stabbing it repeatedly with her sword, until it was finally destroyed, plunging the entire mine into darkness. Outside of the glowing Dust crystals and flashlights.
Though rather than exit the room, Naruko hid and waited for someone to enter the room, to see what was going on. Which didn't take long, as two guards entering the room. Only to immediately lose their heads, when Naruko swung Aramasa at them.
Grabbing the bodies, Naruko threw them out of the room, quickly following after them, before seeing more guards standing outside with their weapons drawn. Being shocked when the two bodies came flying out, with Naruko capitalizing on their shock, to begin cutting each of them down. Before being forced to start dodging their shots, when they came out of their shock and started shooting at her.
Weaving through the shots, Naruko dropped to the ground and slid under them, spinning around once she was close enough and swinging her sword, cutting off her attackers' legs. With the Branwen putting them out of their misery as she stood up, before holding her sword behind her, and blocking a strike from one of the hired mercenaries. The girl running and kicking off the wall, slamming her steel-toed boot right in his head, accompanied by a loud crack as he hit the ground.
Ducking behind some cover, when she began being shot at again, Naruko looked around to see who was shooting at her this time. Only to scoff, when she Atlesian soldiers and Knights shooting at her, rather than guards or mercenaries.
'Figures.' Naruko thought, not surprised there were some corrupt members in the Atlesian Military here.
Though knowing they would be better shots than the guards she's taken out already, Naruko couldn't simply run through the fire towards them. Looking around, Naruko soon spotted a large gravity Dust crystal emerging from the ceiling, one right above her attackers.
Getting an idea, Naruko jumped out of her cover before making her way up to the ceiling, dodging the corrupt soldiers and mechs shooting at her. The girl soon reaching the Dust crystal, swinging her sword slicing right through it, making it fall down towards the soldiers and mechs. Though rather than crush them, they managed to jump out of the way, only for the Dust to explode upon impacting the ground. Unleashing a blast of gravity, launching them into the cave walls, with the mechs being reduced to scrap metal, while the soldier's necks were broken upon impact.
But before Naruko could jump down and continue taking care of the remaining guards, she cried as she was suddenly shot in the back, her Aura flaring around her as it took the brunt of the attack. Though it was still strong enough to knock her down from the ceiling, and crash into the floor. The Branwen groaning at the shot, before her eyes widened as she quickly jumped back avoiding machine gun fire.
Looking, Naruko saw more mercenary guards, ones that definitely looked more experiences than the ones she's dealt with already. But what had Naruko's attention, was the two giant mechs following them.
"Oh…shit." Naruko muttered, not expecting to encounter mechs that big, with equally big weapons.
When the mechs began firing at her, Naruko turned the other way and began running, knowing she couldn't fight those things head on, along with the mercenaries also attacking her.
"Woah!" Said Naruko, barely able to dodge several rocks that were fired at her, before quickly diving down behind some cover.
"Come out and die, you damn animal!" One of the guards shouted, as they all began firing at where Naruko was hiding, as the girl lowered her head and closed her eyes, while taking several deep breaths as she concentrated.
Slowly, Naruko's black and red hair began turning pure white, while she began hearing several beating sounds, the sounds of the guard's hearts beating. Before Naruko's eyes then snapped open, showing her now glowing, red irises and black sclera. The girl smirking wickedly, as Aramasa extended again, but rather than the blade rotating and unfolding into a scythe, it folded backwards.
While outside her cover, the firing soon stopped as a cloud of dust and smoke formed, blocking their view. None of them wanting to hit a stray Dust crystal and set off a chain reaction, that'd get them all killed. Only for three tendrils of blood to shoot out of the smoke, impaling three of the mercenaries through their chests, much to the shock of the other guards.
Before Naruko herself leapt out of the smoke, with Aramasa now possessing a massive scythe blade made of blood, while her hood and the darkness helped hide her changed features. The Branwen swinging her scythe slicing through several guards at once, ducking and dodging their attacks as she cut them down one by one. Naruko then turning to face the mechs, spinning her scythe around, with the blood blade transforming into a shield to block the rockets and shots that were fired at her.
Running up to the mechs, Naruko held her scythe, as the blade reformed. Before holding it under one mech, bringing it straight up, while slicing both the mech and its pilot in half. The girl then swinging it off to her right, impaling the second mech pilot, causing the mech to fall backwards, with its pilot now dead.
Standing up, Naruko looked around and saw all the guards were now dead and didn't see any more showing up.
'Guess that was the last of them.' Naruko thought, before taking a deep breath and exhaling, as her features returned to normal, while the blood she used flowed back into her body.
Sheathing her weapon, Naruko went to free the imprisoned Faunus workers, all of whom being grateful at being given back their freedom. Along with going around and collecting all of the necessary evidence of what happened here, to make sure the SDC would be investigated for its treatment of its Faunus workforce.
Once that was done, Naruko took her leave of the mine, eventually reaching a different town than the one she was in earlier. Being able to find an inn that, thankfully, accepts Faunus and Faunus descendants as patrons. After paying for her room, Naruko immediately laid down on the bed, all while imagining the look on Jacques Schnee's face, when he learns about what happened.
*Timeskip-Three Days*
"It saddens me to say, that as of three days ago, one of the SDC Dust mines were attacked, with all of the workers having been unfortunately killed in cold blood or gone missing. We can only presume that such an attack, was the cause of the White Fang terrorists, that have begun attacking my family and company. I would like to assure all the citizens of Atlas and Mantle, that the SDC will be doing everything in its power to find the ones responsible for this atrocity and have them brought to justice. Along with ensuring that the families of the workers who lost their lives shall be compensated for the losses they suffered. And locating the workers, who have disappeared, to make sure they are brought back safely and unharmed. That is all." Said Jacques Schnee to the reporters of the press conference, he was holding, in response to the attack on one of his Dust mines.
Though while he put on the act of being saddened at the loss of his workers, really Jacques was furious at whoever dared to attack one of his mines. Having sent an SDC team that's loyal to him to investigate, after not getting a report from the mine in three days. Only for them to find all his hired guards dead, and all those damn animals missing.
This angered and worried Jacques, that someone could potentially expose the treatment of his Faunus workers and his less than legal dealings. Having discretely placed a bounty on finding out whoever was responsible and killing them, to send a message to anyone who would attack the SDC.
While publicly, Jacques figured it'd also be a way to get some good PR for the SDC as well, while pinning the blame of the attack on the White Fang. This way he can generate sympathy of the "unjust attack and murder of his workers", along with turning more people against the animals as well.
Though the CEO still swore to find whoever was really responsible and make them pay for thinking they can attack him like this.
The man completely unaware of how outmatched he was against the one responsible but will soon learn.
Unaware that from within her room, at the Inn she was currently staying at. Naruko was watching the entire press conference, while seeing through Jacques's façade as the worried and mourning CEO.
"If it's a war you want Jacques, it's a war you'll get." Naruko said, as her red eyes glowed for a brief moment.
Eager to take the crooked CEO down, and out.
Meanwhile, back in Patch, Raven and Qrow suddenly felt a sudden urge of pride in their daughter and niece, for some reason.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Ruby and Magne are taking Naruko's departure the hardest, with Yang being the one to pull them out of their worrying. We then see Summer and Raven discussing what Salem's plans are for Naruko and the chance of the Witch approaching her. Then it's off to Atlas where we see Naruko encountering problems in the form of anti-Faunus supporters, leading to her killing some people before going onto an SDC mine to free the imprisoned Faunus, while killing all the guards in her way, along with using her Semblance at the end to take care of the last of them. Finally, we see Jacques holding a press conference to bend the attack into his favor, while swearing to make one(s) responsible pay, not knowing Naruko is more than eager to take the crooked CEO down.
