It was the next day that Hadrian told Draco and Daphne about his encounter in the Forbidden Forest.
Draco was disturbed at the thought of the person drinking a unicorn's blood as he knew it was extremely wrong to drink a pure creature's blood.
Daphne was saddened at the Unicorn dying but understood that Hadrian gave it mercy.
"So someone is attempting to find something that is hidden in that corridor? I assume Dumbledore is doing something to protect it." Daphne said as they sat down in the Slytherin Common Room.
Hadrian had his own chair which acted as his own throne. Draco spoke "Most likely. However, if this object needs to be protected, why in Hogwarts?"
Hadrian smirked "Well done Draco. That is the question, isn't it? Why in Hogwarts? Why not Gringots? Well, after that mysterious break in, they said nothing was taken."
"So the object was relocated to here." Daphne suggested to which Hadrian's smirk grew "Exactly. Dumbledore knew it would be taken."
"But again, why here? Why in a school filled with children?" Draco asked. Daphne was silent as she did not have the answer.
"He's expecting someone within the castle to try and take it."
Both heads looked at Hadrian with a smirk on his face. "Which is why, I will go to see what is in that corridor that is so important."
Draco and Daphne looked at each other before looking back at the Prince "Are... Are you sure that's the best idea? You could get into trouble and possibly expelled."
Hadrian stood up from his make-shift throne which made the two of them bow their heads.
"They would rather keep an eye on me than expel me and risk me doing something dangerous. So they'll have no choice but to keep me here. Possibly just give me a slap on the wrist. So no, I have nothing to worry about."
Draco then exclaimed "Then let us come with you!"
Hadrian stopped and did nothing to look at Draco as he gulped and lowered his head "I-i mean, please let us accompany you."
Hadrian answered "No."
Both Draco and Daphne were shocked at the dismissal.
"But why? Do you not care about us? Are we just servants to just let you do and command what we do?" Draco turned to look at Daphne as her shock turned to seething rage.
That time, Hadrian turned his head to look at Daphne with a cocked eyebrow. She glared at the Vampire Prince as she continued
"You think we're not good enough to join you on this? You tell us and get our opinion about what's going on and you tell us no when we have an opportunity to find out what this is!?"
"Daphne, are you bloody mad!?" Draco hissed at Daphne before Hadrian spoke with a hard tone.
"Enough."
The both of them are silent as Hadrian turned his whole body around to look at them. His eyes were different this time.
Unlike every other time where they held a sense of pride or sadistic ecstasy, this one was remorseful. As if it weighed on his mind.
He released a sigh as he spoke "The reason I don't want you two to come with me is... I don't want you two to get hurt."
This was a greater shock to the two. Hadrian Tepes, formerly known as Harry Potter. The child who seemed to hold more knowledge than even Dumbledore. The Vampire Prince related to Dracula... Was concerned for them.
"What?" Daphne breathed out. Draco couldn't help but agree.
Hadrian continued "I must confess... I've never had friends. You two were the first friends I've ever had. I have allies in the other vampire factions around the world, but never friends. Friends my age. For that, I don't want you both to accompany me. Because I fear you'll be injured. We don't know what magical traps they have in that corridor. I do it not because you're servants. Because you're my friends. So I ask you, not as the Prince of Vampires. Or the Prince of Slytherin. But as a friend. Please just stay put until I return with whatever object they are guarding."
He looked at them both with pleading in his eyes.
The both of them were silent as they contemplated his plea. Draco was the first to answer.
"Okay."
Daphne took slightly longer before she released a sigh "Okay. But you better bring us along on the next adventure."
Hadrian nodded with a small smile on his face. "Thank you. I promise I will."
Daphne's posture straightened as she spoke with formality. "I would also like to apologize for my inappropriate behavior."
Hadrian nodded and replied "You are forgiven."
That very night, as he walked to the Great Staircase, Hadrian blinked when he saw the stuttering mess with a turban named Professor Quirell. He frowned as he watched the teacher enter the third floor corridor.
He took a step forward and began to walk up the steps, and entered through the door. It was dark and cold, just how Hadrian expected it to be. He turned his right to see a door at the very end of the hall.
Hadrian walked towards it, his boots making no sound as he phased through the door, only to find a large dog with three heads sleeping with the sounds of a harp playing.
Hadrian cocked his eyebrow "A Cerberus. You'll make a fine pet."
He stepped closer to Fluffy the Cerberus before seeing a trapdoor. He opened it before jumping down only to land on something soft.
He looked to see black vines all around that suddenly came to life amd began wrapping around his body. Hadrian growled as he realized it was Devil's Snare.
His hand quickly caught on fire before swiping it out, releasing an arch of flames that made the black ivy quickly shrink away, leaving Hadrian alone.
The young Prince walked through the black vines before finding a new door and walked through it.
He found himself in a room with a swarm of keys with wings. He frowned at the swarm before walking towards the next door and simply walked through, phasing through the door.
It was dark but a source of light revealed statutes about half as tall as the room. The room began to light up from the torches, revealing the statutes to be giant chess pieces.
Hadrian cocked his eyebrow before smirking "Alright. I'll play this game."
Growing up, Hadrian perfected his chess playing. He's even gone to many chess tournament and defeated them all.
It took only five minutes for him to win the game. Whoever it was to charm the game was exceedingly talented. He walked to the next door only to find a dead troll. He chuckled and walked off to reveal a tray of various potions and a paper revealing a riddle. At the front was a door surrounded by black flames.
Hadrian simply ignored it and walked through the flames. His clothes and skin showing no sign of burns.
He sighed in disappointment at the lackluster challenges in protecting this object.
He goes down the stairs only to find a large mirror and Professor Quirrel staring at it.
Hadrian smirked as Quirrel couldn't see his reflection. Before he could even speak, Quirrel spoke "Hello, Mr. Tepes."
Hadrian frowned as he noticed that the stuttering idiot wasn't stuttering or shaking like a running leaf.
"Quirrel..."
The Professor smirked "I imagine you are curious about this mirror. Or who I am."
Hadrian hummed "Not really. I simply wanted to see what it was that Dumbledore was keeping secure in a school for children."
Quirrel chuckled "Seems rather silly, doesn't it? Well, let me ask you this, have you thought of what you could do with immortality?"
Hadrian chuckled "No. Because unlike many, I do have immortality. You know who I am. What my lineage is."
"Ah yes. The House of Dracul. The greatest Vampire lineage in all of history." Quirrel said with a smirk, as if he was mocking him and his lineage.
"I do not appreciate you mocking my family line, Squirrel." Hadrian said with a sneer before mocking Quirrel's own name.
Quirrel snarled before a whisper reached both their ears. The voice brought a burning sensation to Harry's forehead where the scar laid.
"Let me speak to him. Face to face."
All of a sudden, Quirrel's rage and confidence crumbled as he whimpered "Master, you're not strong enough."
"I have strength enough for thissss." The voice whispered which made Quirrel turn around to face Hadrian and begin unwrapping his turban.
When he was finished, the face of a snake stood on the back of Quirrel's head. Its eyes were large and red like blood with black slits for pupils. It had pale scales for skin and two purly white fangs were seen.
It stared at Hadrian through the mirror, almost as if he could see him despite Hadrian having no reflection. "Harry Potter. We meet once again."
Hadrian growled with his eyes glowing red before a smirk appeared "Lord Voldemort. Because I respect a man of power, I shall forgive the misuse of my name this once. You would do well to remember it."
"Ah yesss. You go by the name of Hadrian Dracula Tepes. Prince of all Vampires." Voldemort noted "You see what I've become? See what I must do to survive? Live off another. A mere parasite. Much like drinking the blood of a Unicorn. It sustains me, but it cannot give me a body of my own. But there is something that can. A stone... A stone that grants immortal life."
Hadrian's eyebrow cocked at the mention of the stone. Knowing exactly what he is searching for. "The Philosopher's Stone. Created by Nicholas Flamel."
"Yess... You see why Dumbledore hid the stone here? In this mirror?" Voldemort asked while flickering his forked tongue.
Hadrian knew Nicholas Flamel and Dumbledore were friends for a long time. So perhaps it made sense for the Philosopher's Stone to be here, but there was one thing that no one knew.
Hadrian smirked "You won't find the stone there. What you will find... Is this." to which he pulled a red stone out of his coat. Voldemort hissed
"What is this? Illusion?"
"There is no illusion, what you see in my hand is but a ruby stone. Unrefined. This was lying in the mirror. Fooling all who would make it this far."
Voldemort hissed "KILL HIM!"
Quirrel launched himself towards Hadrian who stayed still until the possessed teacher was in front of him. He grabbed Quirrel and spun around before biting into his neck and began draining all of his blood, much to the pain of Quirrel and Voldemort.
Quirrel clawed at Hadrian who did not stop until Voldemort ripped himself away from the teacher, becoming a wraith and roaring at Hadrian before floating off from the room.
Hadrian pulled his fangs away and tossed Qurriel away. He panted as he hadn't had a good drink in a while. He pulled out a handkerchief and wiped his lips of the excess blood. He smirked
"Pathetic... I expected more from the Dark Lord. Perhaps when you truly resurrect, you will show me your true power."
As Hadrian was about to walk away, he couldn't help but look at the mirror showing what he truly desired.
A battlefield filled with impaled corpses and Hadrian, fully grown with a goblet of blood in his hand. Beside him to the right was Draco Malfoy also fully grown with a mustache and goatee. His skin was pale like death and his eyes green like viper's.
To his left was Daphne Greengrass, fully grown with pale skin and yellow eyes like the moon.
He was also surprised to see his three brides kneeling at his legs, caressing his muscled torso. But there were several other women there too. Hermione was to the right of Draco, holding his arm.
One woman with platinum blonde hair and blue eyes like the ocean. Hadrian didn't recognize her but knew he would become important. He also saw Cho Chang along with the Patil twins with him.
Suffice to say, he knew who would become important in his life. Hadrian stared at the mirror before looking at the ruby stone and tossed it at the mirror, shattering it. Destroying any more further use it had for anyone.
Hadrian began walking away, a sadistic smirk on his face as he thought.
"Time to gather more friends."
