The girls were hanging out in the room they shared.
'Should we turn off the lights? Just in case Mum decides to check.' Asked Ginny.
'Yeah, probably.' Said Hermione.
'I still can't believe we are in 1995!' said Roxanne.
'And seriously, I can't believe that Mum is so sassy!' said Rose.
'I know, right?' Ginny replied, 'I mean, Hermione is always having a terrible temper at the boys or something—'
'Especially Dad.' Said Rose, grinning, liking this.
'And Mum, you're always getting mad at Dad too.' Said Lily, certainly not wanting to be left out of this conversation.
'Of course, we're typical females,' answered Ginny.
'Yes, anyway, should we play a game, you know, to get to know one another more?' asked Hermione.
'Duh, yes.' Said Roxanne, 'what should we play?'
'I don't know, any idea?' asked Ginny.
'We can play Never Have I Ever!' Lily said.
'Sounds super! So how do I seize the champion's seat?'
'The way we play it is to have everyone hold up five fingers like this,' Rose explains and holds up five fingers, 'then we sit around in a circle and take turn stating that we have not done something that we think everyone else in the circle has done, then if another player has done the thing, she puts down one finger, and if they have not done it, well, they don't have to do anything.'
'I like it.' Says Ginny.
'Ok, so I'll start,' said Roxanne, 'Everyone put up their fing—'
'NO, I want to start,' disagrees Lily, 'I have never ever, ever eaten avocado before. And I will never do. Especially the icky green ones where they are smashed and mashed into pee-poo.' (Author's note: I actually like avocado. Especially the mashed ones. The above opinion about icky avocado originates from my brother.)
Everyone puts down one finger each.
'Ok, umm,' ummed Roxanne, 'I have never, umm, I have never gone through a day without being the victim of a prank from my twin brother.'
Nobody put down any fingers.
'We are all terrorized with frightening pranks every single day.' They all said.
'No, I say that I'm pranked by my twin. None of you have a twin.'
'Ok, fine, smart.' Said Hermione, impressed.
Everyone except Roxanne puts down another finger each.
'And I have never had an older brother.' Said Rose, staring at Roxanne.
'I don't have an older brother,' Hermione raised her hand.
'Yep, I spared your finger, Mum.' Answered Rose.
'Thanks.' Hermione smiled.
Number of fingers each person have that are still raised: Hermione:3, Ginny:2, Rose:3, Roxanne:3, Lily:3
'Gosh, I only have two left!' cried Ginny out loud.
'It's almost your turn, Gin, don't fret.' Said Hermione.
'Fine. Then get yours over with, Hermy-own.'
'Don't call me that! Anyway, I have never had siblings.'
'God, this game is not about whether or not we have a twin, or whether or not our parents had sexual interaction for than once.' Complained Ginny.
'Oof! Sexual Interaction? There are kids in here, you know?' Lily complained about Ginny's complain.
'Well, is it against the rules?' asked Hermione.
'No.' answered Rose.
'Ok.' Said Hermione, 'Ginny-own, it's your turn.'
'Mine's really easy.'
'What?'
'I have never ever time-travelled.'
Raised fingers so far: Hermione:2, Ginny:1, Rose: 1, Roxanne:1, Lily:1
Hermione was happy 'I'm winnin-'
'AND WE HAVE NEVER EVER, EVER FAILED TO PULL A PRANK.'
